Time to share some stuff again. Also, I've discovered that the questions that LJ has on their home-page. I've... never really thought about it before, but some of my LJ-friends have started to answer them, so... Well. Inspired. And why not? Especially the teddybear question sure inspired me and brought back a lot of sweet memories.

Other things that inspire is all the stuff my friends online share with me here and there. For serious. So much fun stuff! And then I save it in an open tab, forget it's there and forget to share it and suddenly I have a shitload of tabs open which makes my chrome a bit slow... Time to do something about that!

As you probably are beyond aware of I hate 50 shades of Grey. I mean, I seriously hate that series of books. I do, however, love seeing things that mook them.

This one is also quite awesome! A makeup tutorial for a 50 shades of Grey makeup. And, I have to say. The makeup looks quite nice. But what makes this whole tutorial is the narrating from the makeup artist. Absolutely brilliant! So cool makeup and a wonderful narration. Win-win!

And now for something totally different. I know, since Peting told me that in Metal Gear Solid when playing that role playing game, you could have any kind of romantic relationships. Gay or straight. Which I found pretty cool. And then I stumbled upon this article about Dragon Age Inquisition. Apparently there's a transgender character in that game. Not playable, but still. He has a big role. And he... is a female to male transgender. Right, I thought. But then I looked at the clip in this article, and I have to admit. That seems to be a pretty cool character. To bad he isn't playable. He does have a decent fanbase though. I'm not surprised. ;-)

Even though she is pretty much a Shakespearean actress with some serious roles behind her and being one of the big names in the industry... She is not afraid to make fun of herself. And that is EXACTLY what she is doing here with a huge smile on her face! I LOVED THIS! AND CAN NOT STOP LOOKING AT IT!!!

Randomly, have a REALLY cool caricature. I have seen many, many caricatures done in the same stile by the same artist since they were a part of the rock/pop magazine I was subscribed to when I was growing up, OKEJ. It was very groundbreaking, especially during the 1980's and early 1990's. And then them caricatures. I had quite the collection of them since I used to rip them out of the magazine every time. Said collection is now lost though and I have no memory of the name of the artist, annoyingly enough.

Then Nikki Sixx posted this on his Instagram... And I got SUCH a blast from the past! :-D How awesome is this caricature?!?!?

These last few days have been... somewhat not fun. :-P I know being a parent ain't fun and games all the times, I fully expect that. But when I can't keep my eyes open when my mom comes to visit then things are quite bad. :-P I swear to anything holy, I worked so so hard to keep my eyes open and I just couldn't... I kept seeing double. Then I feel asleep for ten mins or so on her, and I felt quite bad about it. Mom didn't mind, she knows the last few days have been tough, but yeah. Not fun. :-P

Thank anything holy that peting73 is doing SOOOOO much better! And can start helping taking care of Alexandra... It does sound horrible, but sometimes I just wanna... be... and not be a mom. Does that make sense? Just for a few mins. :-P I haven't been able to do that these last days and that has exhausted me both mentally and physically. How the HELL do single moms do it? o.O All my respect and more!

Tomorrow I am going shopping a bit for the baptism of Alexandra on Saturday. I have TWO pair of pants that fit. And none of them are pretty... :-P So new pair of pants for me and one onesie for Alexandra that she can have under the baptisemal gown.

Oh yeah.That gown is a chapter all in itself. Full of history and oh so gorgeous. It is made from the bridal veil of my paternal grandfathers mother... My grandfather had it on his baptism, as did my father and his two brothers... My brother had it as well, and both his kids. Reason I didn't have it, was because my parents didn't marry until I was 4 years old, and my paternal grandma had some issues with that... :-P But Alexandra will be wearing that baptisemal gown. :-) It is here now, and so frail I'll probably be more nervous about that thing breaking then anything else... o.O It is over 100 years old... :-P So yeah... I'll post a photo of it in a few days. :-)

spicehobbit, who'll be Alexandras godmother, is also nervous as hell, since she'll hold Alexandra in that thing to! During the baptism itself. And she loves history and especially history of clothing... So yes, something that old really catches her interest and makes her nervous that she'll break it. :-)

I've prepared most things for the baptism party/feast/whatever you call it... On Thursday and Friday though I'll bake six (!) cheesecakes, since the total people coming is 30... o.O Relatives and friends... Mostly relatives from my side of the family, since there are so many there. *lol* Crazy, crazy...

Anyway!

I am glad all my Christmas cards/care packages got to the recipients as it should. :-) I didn't send as many this year, but I figured if you wanted it, you'd let me know, right? Just a few I sent to extra. :-D

I did get a laugh though when I got a thank you PM from melluransa... Since she'd made a video of her trying out the Swedish candy I sent... Specifically the Lakritsal. X-D I know liquorice is a very specific taste, and hence I sent the kindest one. Laktritsal is not as strong as other liquorice candy is. But still it got a pretty funny reaction from melluransa... Favorite summer activity

My favorite thing to do at summer... Hmm.... I love, LOVE going to various coffee-shops/coffeehouses to have a fika* out in the sun... Or just sit on a blanket in the shadow and read a book... I am not hugely fond of sunbathing and such. I don't like that. But to just enjoy the sun, with a cup of tea or just a cold drink and a nice cinnamon bun... Yeah. That is lovely... Or sit listening to the sound of people and the sound of the trees in the park, while reading a book... Love that to.

I also love going for swims in lakes and such. :-) Love that. I might not be a sexy model in my bikini, but fuck that! I wanna swim! Or just play around in the water. :-) One NEVER gets to old for that!

Children's books your kid must have

That is sorta easy to answer. :-)

Of course, as many Astrid Lindgren books as possible! :-D I love her work and it is so perfect! Of course, those are for when Nerd Junior gets a lil older, but... say when she/he is just starting to read or just before... 6-7 years old? That's when Astrid Lindgren is perfect. Before that? Lots and lots of Disney. Me and peting73 has a huge collection of Disney picture-books each, and we've both decided to give them all to Nerd Jr. So that is a good start. There'll probably be A LOT of the swedish comicbook character Bamse as well, he is such a perfect character for small kids. I read the Bamse comic and the Kalle Anka & Co (Donald Duck & Co) comic when I was a kid. I have a sneaky suspicion I'll transfer that to Nerd Jr. More then that though, I'll most likely bring Nerd Jr to the library with regularity and just let her/him lose among the books. Let kid pick whatever. And we'll read that. :-) Picture books, and whatever she/he wants. I don't think one should control kids to much when it comes to books. Just show what there is to pick from. :-)

Vampires

Ah yes... Vampires... What is there to say? *lol* I love vampires. :-) One of my favorite movies, and one of the first with vampires I saw, is the old Interview with the vampire. I saw it plenty of times in the movie-theaters and feel head over heels in love with the whole thing and the universe it showed. Read the book to. The whole thing with the society of vampires living hidden... where humans can't see... It intrigued me. :-) Very much. There is just something sexy about it. Not to mention the way a vampire feeds is very very sexy to, I'd say.

Anyway, after watching more vampire movies (Bram Stoker's Dracula among others), I moved here... for study. And found other people also intrigued with vampires... that actually played vampires at a very very active vampire-LARP! The setting for said LARP was just what I had been intrigued with... vampires ruling the world, hidden from human eyes using their various vampiric powers for their own gain.... To say I was hooked from the start would be an understatement! I've been involved in said LARP since 2001, and I don't plan to stop any time soon!

Vampires as a whole, as mythological creatures have so so much to give. It is just a sad sad thing to see what Twilight and the books following in it's wake have done with the vampire-myth. Now they are not the monster anymore using their sex appeal to draw their victims to them to do whatever dark and twisted thing they want with said victim. Oh no. Now they are all romantic types who are burdened with a dark past. *sigh* It annoys me. It really does.

What you'd do with fifty thousand euros

I'll be honest and boring here. I'd pay of all my student loans... and if there were anything left, I'd put it into savings. Maybe put some away for Nerd Jr to. Fun, eh? :-P

Shoes

I have a love/hate-relationship with shoes. Honestly. I have big feet. No really. Not very ladylike. I have a size 42 Europesize (UK: 7½, US: 10). AKA, I have BIG feet... So buying shoes for women, is a pain in the ass. There are none. I have to go to specialty stores or order from the net... There is a reason why I love unisex shoes, like Doc Martens or Converse (for summer). You can get ALL sizes in those. :-)

This on the other hand mean... I have a lot of shoes. Because on the very rare occasion where I actually find shoes that are not Docs or Converse? I buy them. I always do. Since I never know when next I'll find shoes that fit. Meaning I have a lot of shoes. That I barely use. Crazy. :-P

Been working at the library today. Was supposed to work just 4 hours, but when I had 30 mins left... one of my colleagues came and grab a hold off me asking me if I could stay on for two more hours? Of course, I agreed to do so and asked what was up? (More then it being one HELL of a busy day today! What is it with a ton of people coming to the library on a Sunday?). Anyway, we were five people working in the big library today, and the oldest B fainted. Twice. o.O And refused to go home when she was steady on her legs. Oh no. She was going to continue to work, dammit! *shakes head* Stubborn old ladies, just saying... She is pretty cool. Clearly been a hippie when she was young and has some really awesome stories to tell. But she is stubborn and tough. A bit to much so at times, clearly... She was OK for the rest of the day, that she was... But seriously?

Right so... Onwards!

So been on my own at the library today.... and it is at times like these it really shows how loved my colleague / boss is... I mean, the phone has called more or less all day with people asking for her, or wanting her to do something or another... Even during the 30 mins I had a group of kids in the library to teach them how to find there way in the library I had people both calling on the phone and knocking on the door to be let in... and that was after opening hours when the library was closed! o.O Geez!

Yes, I know she usually lets people in and helps people when the library is closed as well. I mean, it IS a school library and should be available for the school to use, so we try to accommodate them as much as we can. I do this to. But when I have a group of kids there, and I try to be a pedagogue (which I am sooo not) and teach them stuff, can you PLEASE give me a break then at least? *sigh*

Apart from that, it has been a slow day. During the first weeks I have been working there, I have been to effective, it seems... I am running out of things to do. :-P I am not sure this is good OR bad. *laugh* I was even told of the big boss that I should take it a bit easy and all, so I am not sure how to interpret that. Apparently we might get a trainee here soon from a company that helps long term unemployed people find there way back to work again... o.O Wait, what? I started out as a trainee here, so excuse me if I feel a bit defensive... I kinda wanna keep my place here even after February... Nothing is safe yet, so I am not sure how I feel about this yet. Remains to be seen, I suppose.

Tomorrow is a Thursday... and I'll be all on my own. All day. As well as during those two hours when usually all hell breaks out in the library. Woe izt me. We'll see if I survive. :-P

And apparently they are slashfans to both femme-slash and regular slash. Nothing risky, but they are hinting at it so very, very nicely it is just... awesome. And the photos look very professional as well not to mention they look very much as there character! I am especially impressed with the woman doing Darla. She really looks like her! And the woman/man who does Spike. I... think it is a woman, but damn if it isn't a butch one if so! And she/he sure as hell got them infamous cheekbones! REALLY awesome! You NEED to check out this! That is hard to pinpoint really, since it changes all the time. Yes, Tokio Hotel, of course... But more? Hard, hard.... Right now it is Mötley Crüe, Gorillaz, Aerosmith plus Tokio Hotel then. But this changes all the time, so....

12. Your thoughts or opinions about Harry Potter.
Well... I did enjoy the books a great deal, and I do think the movies are brilliant as well. I rewatch the movies now and then and I have re-read the books. But I am not reading fanfic or are involved in any fandom. I just... enjoy them anyway. :-)

13. Your thoughts or opinions about Mean Girls.
No idea what Mean Girls is. (And I am not going to cheat with Wikipedia.)

14. Do you have siblings? Talk about them, or talk about what it's like to be an only child.
I have a younger brother that I do mention here and there in this LJ. He is quite awesome. He got an education to become a professional farmworker. And he is good at it. A week or so after he left school he got employed right away. He still works at that big farm and likes it. He is married to a wonderful woman, same age as him and they have two wonderful kids together. A great family. Unlike me, who enjoys living in the city, my brother is not comfortable in the city, and lives in the middle of nowhere.
Clearly we are not very much alike. When we grew up we fought like hell. He even managed to hit me so hard over my hand that I lost all m nails on my right hand once... Yeah, we fought a lot, but playfully and violently. My father was enjoyed rough housing with us when he was playing with us. So we both had a lot of tough love growing up and that I think have shape us. We're still very much like that when we meet, but we both support each other whole heartedly to. Right now we are a unified front to try and help mom with her house and to help her lose weight. :-) Different we might be, my brother and I, but strong together.

Well, this has proved to be one silly day... *grin* Took it easy during the morning, and then spicehobbit came over to act as my camera man... X-D Yeah, I did those small vids needed for the TH Apex vid that is being made by omgwtfskittles. Much laughing and silliness ensued, let me tell you. I look like an idiot. Or a dork. But hey, at least it'll be amusing. ;-)

Then peting73, me and spicehobbit made LowCarbHighFat lasagna that turned out delicious and then me and spicehobbit went to torture our selfs....

No really. We went to watch the latest movie in the Twilight-series, Eclipse...

Strangely though, I didn't want to kill myself afterwards... I don't know how they managed, but the movie is a lot better then the book. Not GOOD still, since the source material stinks worse then the cats litter box, but the movie people have managed to actually skip a lot of the idiotic parts and actually do something with the story, instead of pissing it down the drain. (Who the bad guy is, is still so obvious I want to puke, and none of the characters get it... SERIOUSLY??!?!!) Anyway, Charlie and Emmett are what makes it survivable, since both those characters save every scene they are in. Awesome. Talking of scenes they have actually added a few that weren't in the book, that made a few things make more sense. (Again, more Emmett. I am not complaining.) They have done good casting in quite a few supportive characters as well. The guy playing Jacob, Taylor Lautner, must have taken acting lessons, since he did a pretty good job with what he had to work with. Pattinsson did what he was supposed to do, sparkle, look constipated and force Bella to do what he wants while dazzling the females around him.... Kristin Stewart as Bella though is just... painful to watch. The woman CAN'T ACT! No seriously. She has the same expression on her face the whole damn movie... the same expression she had in the other two movies. Again, the woman can't act. Not that she had much to work with from the books, but still... Geez... I have seen pieces of stone with greater acting skills. Which will make things damn interesting in the next movies... They'll be making two movies of the last book, Breaking Dawn. Considering I have read it, and know whats going to happen... I am looking forward to see that painful wreck again...

I think I have a trainwreck syndrome. :-P

Day 05- Picture of your favorite album

Tough call. They have done a lot of good songs, at least according to me. There aren't many that I can honestly say I dislike. There older music is a leaning a bit towards the heavier rock area, while there new music goes towards lighter happier rock. Very catchy stuff. And they are good at both. Scream was the first album I got my greedy fingers on when I first heard about them boys. It is very good, with a mix of there German songs translated to English. Humanoid is there latest album that has some seriously catchy music going on. Different albums, but equally good, I'd say. Extra points to them boys that Humanoid was released both in English and in German at the same time. Well done.

First, Alexander Skarsgård fucking rocks! OMG! I watched True Blood, Season 2 Eps 9, just now, and man... that was such an awesome episode! The slash potential! I am slashing Godric and Eric so damn hard, you have no idea! UNF! Also, LaFayatte is roxors my soxors. He and Eric are so my favorite characters in this series. Not much slash-potential between the two though... unless we are talking lots of biting and lots of chains... *cough*

Been working today, and it has been great. 3 hour days, I can get used to that. :-) _devilcandy_ came by for a quick visit to borrow some blood... Fake blood that is. *LOL* She is having an internship at a school among 12 year olds... (I so do not envy her.) Well, and on Friday they'll have a masquarde theme at the school, so everyone has to dress up. Naturally, _devilcandy_ being a vampire-LARPer, she'll dress up as a vampire. Ergo, she needs some fake-blood. :-) While she was here we discussed books and was flabbergasted by my cats. Seriuosly. They are so not normal. I can understand if they get high of sniffing mine or peting73s shoes, but they seriously tried to eat _devilcandy_s shoes. So weird.

After that, I have worked my way through my f-list. I AM CAUGHT UP! Phew... Didn't think that would ever be possible, but now I am. :-D Woot! And got some new random friends in the progress. Say, what is it with all these gentle people friending me all of a sudden? I am far from gentle, people... Just a fair warning. It amuses me that gentle, religious people still seem to like me. *shrug* Well. :-) I guess I should take it as a compliment. ;-)

Talking of... nothing, but have you seen the new Eclipse trailer? Seriously. They are trying to make this book'o'fail into an action movie.... Excuse me while I go crack up...

I can also proudly say I have upset my first Twilight-fan! X-D Probably a Twitard. ;-)

As you can recall from my A Day In My Life post, I had a photo off my lunch with the last book in the Twilight series, Breaking Dawn, right next to it. And with this description:

Lunch! Yes, I read the last book of Twilight. Yes, I hate them books with a passion. I just wanted to read them, so I would know what they were all about. It felt silly to dislike something I didn't know anything about. Now when I read them, I gone from mild dislike to full out hate. :-P
(If you like Twilight, that is fine. Just don't try talk me into liking them. You will fail.)

Pretty civil, right? Well, apparently someone took offense still. And I got this response:

i think you're fucking LAME and ugly. you can't even spell OF correctly. and you hate twilight?! FUCK OFF!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hmm... Well, at least I didn't go to personal attack of all the Twilight-fans, did I? So why this person thinks that is alright, I have no clue. I do not take offense though, instead I find this mildly amusing. :-) And just to get on his/her case, I gave this response, using the icon I use with this post just to see if I can get a reaction.

I am very sorry English is not my first language. I am swedish, after all.

Also, as I have pointed out, everyone is allowed to there opinion. If you like Twilight, that is perfectly fine. I just don't. :-)
