This is KSena

Usually a friendly sort. Be nice to me, and I am nice to you. Here I ramble on about me, life, work and fandoms. I am a fan of Robin of Sherwood, Xena: Warrior Princess, Buffy: the Vampire Slayer, Pirates of the Caribbean, Tokio Hotel and Sons of Anarchy. I don't apologize for anything I write here. This is my mind. And you entered it. Welcome.

Been working today at the bigger library, not a full day but still. Schools are still out, so yeah... I'll begin full days on Monday again. Tomorrow I'll work a short day more, and then I am off for the rest off the week. :-) Yay!

Was quite interesting at the work today. :-P The daughter of the boss came in and talked. I have meet her before and I think she is quite nice. We talked a bit, since I was walking around the shelfs today locating all the fantasy-books I could find. See, they have asked me to do an exhibition about fantasy. The other librarians there don't know much about fantasy, so they asked me to do one, since I read it so much. :-) I was glad to, really. I'll finish it off tomorrow. Anyway. Of course when talking to the daughter of a librarian, we ended up talking about books (how much I really and honestly hate August Strindberg among other things...). And then it came. :-/

She is a Twilighter. Holy shit... And we started discussing it. I mean, it didn't matter what I said, all I got back was how wonderful Twilight was. How loving Edward is (my ass...). And how pure and wonderful Bella is (good grief...). That I didn't puke or go into a rage should be considered a feat. Her mother, my boss, just laughed at us and let us continue the discussion. It was insane. And here I thought she was a girl with brains. Damn.

Anyway, I'll go locate some off my fantasy-stuff in my closet and drawers, things I have been using when I have been at fantasy-LARPs. It should spice up the exhibition. :-) Then bed! Work tomorrow to! With the menstrual cramps from hell... Woe...

Once you get into a series like that, to hear anyone speak against it is blasphemy (to them). I haven't read them (I tried but I couldn't get past pg 29 i think) but I know the types of people who read them.

I guess so. It just... guh... annoys me when an otherwise intelligent girl comes up with excuses to some off the crap that Edward does in the book against Bella, you know.... :-/

*shudders* Slowly, they´re taking over the world, it seems. Must. fight. back!

Even at undulatportalen, one of the most cleverest girls, a true source of budgie knowledge, posted that she´d started reading the books, and she absolutely adoooored them. Scary...

It mostly disappoints me when I find out that otherwise clever people go all starry-eyed and have orgasms on the spot when talking about Twilight and the fucker Edward... *grumbles*

Oh, I understand your pain... I once happened to read parts of a blog written by a home-schooling, über-Christian mom somewhere in the US Bible-belt.* She was using Twilight in her lesson plans, for the "sex and related issues" bit. Becuse Edward is a gentleman, and such a great example for her young son... Ick.

* I was following a link, and then there was another link, and then another... It started with something crafty, and ended with a train-wreck. It's horrible, but you can't look away.

Link-following can be dangerous business, can't it? :-P

Also, that teacher should not be allowed to teach anymore, jesus christ! o.O

Yes... being careful about which links to follow is an essential survival skill on the net... *grins*

And at least she was just messing with the heads of her own kids, as opposed to a whole class... But that's bad enough.
