Usually a friendly sort. Be nice to me, and I am nice to you. Here I ramble on about me, life, work and fandoms. I am a fan of Robin of Sherwood, Xena: Warrior Princess, Buffy: the Vampire Slayer, Pirates of the Caribbean, Tokio Hotel and Sons of Anarchy. I don't apologize for anything I write here. This is my mind. And you entered it. Welcome.

WOHOO! I managed to get my new layout to work. :-D Looks ROCKING, don't it? ;-D Now I have a fandom one (the previous I used to have) and this one, just random rocker chick, music lover layout. Man, I love both! For now though, it will be this one used! Check it out!

Anyway!

This weekend was good, but damm if it wasn't busy as heck!

Friday, work. But a short day. After it though, and the long week... I was beat. The apartment looks like shit, and I had first planned to fix that, but dammit... No energy for it. So instead I did laundry and we just hung out here with the cats and our dustbunnies... It could have been a worse Friday, I suppose...

Saturday was LARP-day! And man, was I in a LARP-mood! *lol* [livejournal.com profile] peting73 was to, since we haven't been at the LARP for a while. My dear darling ghoul/servant Frida Wagner ([livejournal.com profile] fridawagner) had to do some business with the werewolfs around the city... Werewolfs that has decided that she'll be their spokesman... (She has no idea why. And had no say in it either.) These werewolfs are so powerful they could probably pull Frida to pieces with their bare hands... But they didn't. And she got the message to them, and got a message FROM them as well to bring to the vampires... without getting killed. I'd say that is a victory! *lol*

Then during the evening she was used as a lookout on a mystery church in the city... Let's just say it wasn't anything holy in that church that night... More like UN-holy (demons and shit...)... Again, she survived, since she wasn't ordered to do any hand to hand combat, she survived again!

I'd call Frida a survivalist at this point. X-D

We didn't get home until 5am in the morning, so I slept LOOOOOONG on Sunday... but had to put on the alarm anyway, since I was going to the movies with [livejournal.com profile] spicehobbit.... to watch the trainwreck with the pedo-wolf that is... Breaking Dawn Part 1.

At moments [livejournal.com profile] spicehobbit was giggling and laughing so hard, she had to bite her knuckles to not laugh out loud... the whole seat was shaking! X-D And as soon as I saw her doing that? I cracked up to! OMG! It was hilerious! The bed-breaking sex (oh, I liked it when you bruised me and cut me during sex, dear... lets do it again!!) The dramatic pregnancy! X-D The so called romance on the island! The wedding with SMeyer standing with a sugary smile being zoomed into by the camera!

And the parts I had looked forward to... The birth bloodbath when the halfbreed is born... Only, they failed, because it wasn't even HALF as bloody and disgusting as in the books (something you should talk with your therapist about there, SMeyer?) But we did get the vampire c-section using teeth. So score there! And then... then... the disgusting pedo-wolf. Now, I liked Jakob. He was one of the VERY few likable characters in the books. Until the last book. When HE FALLS IN LOVE WITH A BABY JUST BORN OUT OF THE WOMB!!! I AM NOT JOKING! At least in the movie they got the baby away from the birthing room... And then he got all breathless when he saw her, fell down on a knee and envisioned how awesome things will be when she grows up and he can sex her up... No... Not freaky at all.

I'll be watching the last train-wreck to. Count on it. :-P

Twilight, Breaking Dawn and Twilight-fans.... *points to comic below*

Yeah. Pretty much. X-D

I love the layout and the comic was fun... but not half as fun as your description of the movie. Thanks, now I don't even have to remotely think about seeing it!

Fun and fun... That movie is sick, but not as sick as the books. Because those are SERIOUSLY sick... I should know. I read them. All four. In english, no less... It is downright disturbing some of the stuff going on in those books.

Yeah, I am fanatic hater off these books... which makes my work somewhat problematic. Especially when woman 50+ tells me how WONDERFUL these books are, and how PERFECT Edward Cullen is. *head-desk*

Wonderful? I think not. I give youThe case against Edward Cullen (http://pamgutz.livejournal.com/6499.html). And everything brought up there? It happens in the book, written in extremely purple prose as something romantic... *shakes head*

Oh. Good gawd... You have teen girls that are fans of Twilight? Be careful with that... VERY careful... considering how both Edward and Jacob are described at parts (Edward more then Jacob, although he ain't innocent by far!).

Read this:
The case against Edward Cullen... (http://pamgutz.livejournal.com/6499.html)
Some seriously disturbing reading there. And I've read the books, so the things she brings up? Yeah. It happens in the books...

You think that is disturbing? That isn't even half off what is going on in the books, my dear friend. I should know. I've read them. All four. In english.

Jacob does indeed fall in love with the baby. As soon as she leaves the womb (not joking). The Only True Love That Ever Loved, no less... He can't look at anyone else, even. And he does exactly what she tells him to. EXACTLY what she tells him to... Yeah, that is not disturbing at all, if you start to think about it....

And then there is Edward Cullen. The epitome of the romantic male lead, right? According to Twilight-fans at least... Yeah, no. I think not.

Read this:
The case against Edward Cullen... (http://pamgutz.livejournal.com/6499.html)
And the interesting thing is, EVERYTHING she brings up... happens in the books. And is described in purple prose as the Most Romantic Thing Ever.

MY FUCKING GAWD! *rage* I hate these books so, so much.....

i can see why girls think that's sexy though; especially younger ones with low self-confidence. pre-teens and teens (and probably young adults, but younger ones more so) tend to be very self-centered and think the world revolves around them (no offense, we were mostly all there :P) and so the highest ideal is a guy who agrees that it does too. center of his world; at this age i understand why that's disturbing but at 11 or 12 i probably would've said OMGGGG just like all these other girls. but from that article it sounds like jacob is really there for bella and the quote on quote 'normal guy', how does he suddenly end up wanting to screw a baby? and how can he listen to everything the baby tells him to do... it's a baby... it can't talk.??

I know... I know... I just... I mean, when he DESTROYS HER CAR SO SHE CAN'T GO VISIT HER FRIENDS! I mean, how obvious can things get???

So when listening to 11-15 year old girls squeeing how AWESOME Edward Cullen is in the library, I just shiver and bite my tongue. It gets even worse when mothers and older women ask where the Twilight books are and tells me how AWESOME they are and how WONDERFUL Edward Cullen is... I silently think they are insane and really should know better since they are freaking adults!!!

And yes, the baby talks to Jacob. It has this sparkly gift, you see... like any Mary Sue... that as soon as it touches someone, it can share its thoughts. So the baby touches Jacob as soon as it sees him... making Jacob marvel at how wonderful she is... Ehr... Gets more and more creepy, doesn't it?

Yeah, well... *shrug* There is more insanity and sickness (written in purple romantic prose) where that came from, trust me. :-P
