OMG! Can it be over soon? *sigh* Yes, I am talking pregnancy and Nerd Jr... The little one is stealing ALL my energy! ALL! *sigh* I get nothing done around here, and it frustrates the hell out of me. Thank gawd [livejournal.com profile] peting73 is such a patient and understanding man. And slightly insane. For the record, I love that man. And I am quite convinced he'll rock as a dad.

According to midwifes/nurses that I've talked to during all my checkups Nerd Jr is scheduled to be born 6th of August... That's in three days... SO SOON! Goodness... Of course, one never knows. In the end of the day, the only one to decide is Nerd Jr herself/himself. Here in Sweden you go on checkups constantly during these last weeks, and if you go 2 weeks past the due date, you have to go to the maternity ward at the hospital and they'll start up the delivery with medication. So. Sometime between now and the 20th of August it can happen at ANY TIME!

Meantime, I am clumsier then ever. My legs are swollen like you wouldn't believe. Thank gawd for mom lending me her compression stockings or I would have been even more handicapped, dammit... I have no energy and feel like just one big blob. :-/

NERD JR! MOM TALKING! GET OUT OF THERE! I WANNA MEET YOU AND GET MY BODY BACK, DAMMIT!

And still I have no HUGE belly really. Nerd Jr has made herself/himself comfy quite far in my body... which makes bending over quite a chore. And of course that makes me drop things on the floor ALL THE TIME! :-P *annoyed at this*

Anyway, the most important thing is that we've been told on all them checkups that Nerd Jr is doing perfectly fine in there all set for birth with her/his head down as it should be. Steady and strong heart-beats and everything.

I've been a bit worried about all my scars from my Endometriosis and from all the surgery I've had to do because of it... not to mention the myoma on the side of my utures. That all of that would be an hindrance in giving birth naturally. But apparently, down there? Nothing is in the way. :-) No scars, no myomas no nothing. So should be all fine! THANK GAWD! My stomach has been cut up enough! No need to add more scars to it if one can help it!

So now all I have to do is wait... and wait... and wait. *sigh*

[livejournal.com profile] peting73 and his mom is quite convinced that Nerd Jr is a girl. Mom and my best friend [livejournal.com profile] spicehobbit is convinced Nerd Jr is a boy. Me? I have NO IDEA! So I am stuck in the middle right there.

So I made a poll! :-D Polls are fun, right? :-) We'll see later down the line who wins. *grin*

[Poll #1858156]

According to [livejournal.com profile] peting73 there should be a prize down the line for those who get it right... No, I have NO idea what the man talks about! X-D So we'll see, I suppose. :-)

Talking off Nerd Jr, she/he got a gift today! :-D All the way from Canada! A seriously cute Montreal shirt from [livejournal.com profile] rule_number_7! Thank you SO MUCH, luv! :-D It is SERIOUSLY cute! And it WILL be used! :-D Take my word for it. :-)

To end this post I'll share a few more links. I always seem to collect links when I am surfing the net. "Oh, I gotta share this on my LJ!" X-D Anyone else have that problem? Finding stuff they just wanna share? I do all the time. :-P So here goes!

This walrus made my day the other day! :-D He sure got his rhythm down, doesn't he? ;-)

Cute, wasn't he? :-D

This vid also rocked my socks off! Seriously! Not only is it very professionally done, it is cute, funny and the lyrics... Just WINS! Don't we all want to sing this to random haters when needed? ;-) I sure know I would love to at times!

Another fun thing I found was... this review of 50 Shades of Grey... Yes. THAT book. The Twilight-fanfic-book. That makes all the people actually living and breathing a proper BDSM relationship RAGE like you wouldn't believe. After reading this epic review though, I feel... I kinda have to read it. Just to experience how epically bad it can get. But I won't pay for it, oh hell no! Libraries, here I come.

Katrina Lumsden's review of Fifty Shades of Grey on Goodreads

It's hilarious! And all the gifs! Just read it! :-D

Talking about authors, have one that is actually one of the best authors out there... even if the man is dead. JRR Tolkien. Anyone who stands up to the Nazis during WWII wich such style and such excellent use of words... Got my vote as one HELL of a rocking author! :-D Apparently the Nazis wanted to make sure Mr Tolkien REALLY was of arish decent before agreeing to publish his book The Hobbit in 1938. And Tolkien? Well, he proceeded with ripping them a new one... just the way a proper englishman would. :-D

Letters of Note: Tolkiens letter to the publishers in Nazi Germany.

Also, also! I want to play this game... It looks so WONDERFULLY creepy! And so cute at the same time! I love that combination! :-D Among the Sleep... A baby and his (her?) teddybear trying to survive the things that go bump in the night... It is so so CUTE!

I really really love the look of that game...

Right, so... That would be all for today. :-) I hope everyone has a WONDERFUL weekend!

I love your link trawling :D Makes me happy to see clickables everywhere.

I voted, and I guessed a name but since I don't know Swedish names, and I'm thinking that THOR THE WARHAMMER OF THE GODS is out of the question.... I guessed randomly.

Sounds like it's past time for Nerd Jr to be making his/her appearence on the scene!

*waves chocolate, in the hope that your child senses it*

Glad to see my link-traveling is appreciated. :-) I can't help it really. I find something fun or interesting, I can't help but want to share it.

X-D Well, The Warhammer of the Gods is definitely out of the question! But Thor, as a name, is not. :-) It is quite common in Sweden, actually. Even if it is spelled Tor here. Not many young kids have the name, but a lot of grown men, a bit older, does. Kids are still named Tor, but it is not the most popular name anymore. Sadly. It IS a pretty cool name. So I'd say it is a pretty good guess. :-) And it is noted! :-D

SO CLOSE! And yet so far... and here I am a more or less immobile lump. :-P I am probably the clumsiest woman in this city right about now. :-/ But I do look forward to meeting Nerd Jr! :-D And finally see what little one is like!

OMG OMG OMG!!! My husband's birthday is Aug 6th! I was originally due Aug 2nd, and he'd wished and wished she'd hold off ... but nope, came a week early.

At this point, if I remember correctly, it was all I could do to do anything. Get lots of sleep, drink lots of water, and keep your legs up as much as possible.

Has the baby dropped yet? Noticeably? And by dropped, I mean, have they moved further down your belly, where you feel them in your pelvis? That would change my guess on the date.

AHHH!!! I'm so excited for you sweetie! And jealous. I want another itty-bitty baby. Mine's not little anymore.

Oh, I am drinking tons of water (I always do, so no news there) and take naps and such constantly... Listening to my body, I've always been good at that so I just keep up doing so. :-)

According to the midwifes/nurses Nerd Jr has fixated herself/himself where she/he should be in preperation of birth... I guess that means dropped? I don't know. :-) According to mom one can see on the belly that it has dropped. :-) She is a nurse to!

Aaaaand considering my insane runnings to the bathroom, well... yes. X-D

Ha ha ha! :-D Well, it is a bit hard to guess, I suppose. Different countries and name-cultures. :-) We have a girl and a boy name we've decided on... and afterwards we noted that quite a few famous Swedes and historic people have those names! :-D Didn't think about that when we decided, but there you go! *lol*

EEEP, I'm so excited for you and your [livejournal.com profile] peting73, so looking forward to Nerd Jr.'s entrance to this planet!!! :D. Is so, so good to hear that everything is going okay and that you and Nerd Jr are perfectly fine. You know I'm sending you love and hugs, honey <3. Try to relax and sleep as much as you can!.

Also, I voted on date and gender, but not name because idk, I don't want to say a name that you don't like x). Have a good weekend, dear <3

Plenty naps are taken each day! :-D Even if I do try to move around a lil to, since it is good for me as well, but yes. :-) I do try to move around as well. Might even start up the delivery, who knows? :-D Which at the moment sounds like a really good thing to me! X-D

I have no idea what you'll have, so I picked 'girl' because I have girls myself and love them so much, and I picked a name for a girl that I associate with you.

I hope all will go well and don't forget to take care of yourself too after the birth. Very important that you get enough rest.

I do try to take care of myself to, even if it does annoy me that I have so much less energy these days. :-P But we'll be fine once Nerd Jr is born, since then [livejournal.com profile] peting73 will be home with me for 6 weeks! :-D (With pay!) So that alone, I think will help a ton. Had Nerd Jr been born autumn, winter or spring, we couldnt' have done that, but now? At summer or end of summer? He could stay home for that long. :-)

So exciting! And I swear I'm laughing with you not at you :) I can picture you dropping everything you pick up because you know darn well there's no miracle large enough to get you down to the floor. Nerd Jr. is having a laugh in there.

I guessed a week over your due date because it seems most of my cousins and my sister have gone over with their first child by a week.

I have no idea how to guess the gender unless you allow me to ask 20 questions and I need pictures of you standing at all angles to the camera :) Then I'll be able to give you my educated guess ;oP. Nothing to it right? By the time your finished answering my questions Nerd Jr. will be here laughing at us.

Name ... no guess there either. I'm from Canada and the name of the year for girls is Riley spelled in every way imaginable and Owen for boys. I don't know why people do that ... name the child something different so they don't have to sit through grade school being referred to as Riley K., Riley B., Rylee G lol. I don't get it.

Can't wait to hear about little Riley or Owen - very soon you'll be able to get to the floor again! Imagine all the money you're going to find after 9 months lol.

Chris Hemsworth = Thor! Rawr!

From: [identity profile] kseenaa.livejournal.com
Ha ha ha! :-D I am not sure if I should be amused or horrified that everyone thinks of Chris Hemsworth when thinking Thor! X-D Because that movie pretty much raped Norse Mythology in the ass.... *shakes head*

Thor, however, when spelled Tor is actually a name used in Sweden to this day! It is not the most popular among names... mostly old men have it... but yes. Baby-boys DO get baptized to Tor now and then still. :-) And to names from other old norse gods or old viking names. :-)

Anyway...

It IS true! I drop stuff on the floor all over the place and swear like a sailor when I have a hell of a time getting it up! X-D At least I am learning Nerd Jr a good vocabulary early on, right? Right... *smirk*

My personal guess is about a week over my due-date to! :-D And it seems like most people who have taken the poll agrees with me. :-) We'll see how it goes, I suppose.

I won't even try to guess the name! But I'm a huge name nerd, love odd names, got long lists of them that I would love to give a child (needs to start bred cats or something, got way too many name ideas LoL.) But I think it's fun that so many talks about Thor/Tor, it's one of those names that starts to get popular again, has meet not less than three small Thor/Tor last week, all in the age of a year! Guss it will be like Tindra and thoes names, who everyone thought was so unsusal and odd just ten years ago and who are on every toplist today, it really seems to go in circels.

(no subject)

Date: 2012-08-06 06:55 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] kseenaa.livejournal.com
I think it is quite awesome that all these old, really old, names are coming back. :-) It goes in circles what names are the most popular, I suppose. :-) I think Tor is pretty cool, as is Tindra and Saga and all those names... We have two other names we've decided on, but those have been up for discussion for sure! I love odd names to! :-D Considering both me and Peting has such ordinary names ourselves... Peter & Emma... How fun is that? *lol* X-D Not to mention both our last names are the most popular last names in Sweden! So now you know our last names to. Won't help you much. Just in our apartment-building there are two or three more people living with the same first and last name as Peting and the same first and last name as me. X-D So we wanted to give Nerd Jr at least A BIT more of an uncommon name. ;-)

Yeah, I understand that. My oldest is called Anna, one of the absolutelly most popular names, BUT, everyone seemed to think so when she was born and gave their daughters other names, she has never had a classmate or anything called Anna, and I'm thankful for that. When I expected Saga I was afraid it would be one of thoes names you think is unusual but when find out that "everyone" thought the same about, looked in the paper, told myslef if I saw ONE child called Saga during my pragnancy, I would go for another name. I didn't and she was "alone" about it until she was about five, then it became popular, but that is nothing that affects her. Tella, who's second name is Isolde, is still extremly rare. I have always had others called Katarina in my class, (and Emma and Peter LoL.) was called Katarina Bä the first three years in school as I had a classmate called Katarina Bö. No fun at all. ;)

I've had classmates having the same name as me for most of my years in school. :-P Was not always fun, no. :-/ I always dreamed about having a more uncommon name, but alas. :-P Only good thing with Emma is that it is hard to figure out ugly nicknames for it, so even though I was very badly bullied for most of my school years, my bullies could never figure out an ugly nickname, thank gawd.

Your kids have such gorgeous names... Really, really gorgeous. :-)

Well, I've been on a lot of checkups on account on my Endometriosis (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Endometriosis)... and the fact it is an IVF-pregnancy (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/IVF) . So they sure have kept track of everything. :-) (And no, I haven't had to pay a thing.) It makes me feel quite secure and actually looking forward to the delivery. Yes, I am nervous (of course!) but I feel good to, you know? :-)

As soon as Nerd Jr is born and everything and I am coming back to the internet little by little... then you'll all know the name. :-) I promise!

A new life indeed! (And less time on the computer... :-P) I can't wait for Nerd Jr to join us... Feels like I've prepared as much as I can though. Now I just try to take it one day at a time and wait and wait and wait.... And listen to my body. :-)

And indeed. Tolkien kicked some serious ass there... in a very sophisticated British gentleman way. But still. Serious ass kicking going on.

Oh, that walrus was CUTE! :-D I think the thing with walruses is that they look so clumsy but are still quite agile... and strong! And at least I think they look damn huggable to. :-) Some say it is not good for people to have walruses, seals and such in shows, but for the animals it is good! They are quite intelligent so if they didn't have anything challenging to do, they'd get bored. :-) So teaching them tricks gives their minds a workout. :-) They have various seals at the Zoo here in Borås to! Yes, Borås is the city I live in. :-) (Check a map.) Borås Zoo (http://www.boraszoo.se/en/) is quite a good one, actually. A sign that the animals are happy is that they breed and get babies a lot, right? Well... The animals at Borås Zoo get A LOT of babies each spring, so I think they are doing something right. ;-)

Lol! I remember the hell of being pregnant, everyone told me I would miss it and wish for it back. Yeah, not one time - never have I thought "Man, I miss being exhausted, tired, sore & pregnant" Lol. At least it is almost over!!

I don't know why but I think Nerd Jr is a boy - who knows! Lol. And I think he [or she] is going to make you suffer a few more days before. Lol. :x

I watched the walrus when I did the poll a few days ago - super cute! When I was little, I wanted to train animals at sea world. Lol.

That makes all the people actually living and breathing a proper BDSM relationship RAGE like you wouldn't believe.
YES. To A 'T'! I have customers ARGUE with me, telling me that HE loves her and just wants to protect her and keep her close. No. He is insane and a stalker and that's NOT how it is. Jesus. ARGH! It's os frustrating. But because they read this book, they think it they know everything. I'm doing my research and I have a list of other erotica books to read and see if I can find something a bit better that has the "romance" that these women are looking for. Because, stalking me & preventing me from living a life is NOT romance, even if you are a gorgeous billionaire. Sorry. *grumbles* Everyone in my life now sends me any picture related to that book b/c I rant about it so much. Lol. I'm going to go through your links as I get time, I'd like ot read the review & everything.

I'm so glad I have my gaming PC now, that game looks fricking awesome & Very Very creepy!!! But it sounds adorable! And then, the mom in me is like.. why is this 2 y/o walking around the house in the middle of the night by himself?? Where are the parents?! Lol. /end mommy/

Well, the earlier and middle months of being pregnant was nice. :-) Really nice! It's just this last month and a half, I'd say, that's been troublesome.

Checking the poll it seems like most people thinks it is a boy! *lol* [livejournal.com profile] peting73 is highly amused by this since he is so convinced it is a girl. :-D

Fifty Shades of Grey is really... just one of those things... :-P I must read it, I feel, because seriously? Really? I mean, no BDSM 24/7 here, but more as an extra spice now and then, but still... STILL!!! I mean, I've read the Twilight-books and it seems like the writer have taken all that is BAD with the Twilight-books... and made it even worse... Not so strange though, since the bad things in the Twilight-books is written as romantic... and here? It seems to be even worse. (Yes, I've read ALL the Twilight-books.) Not so strange though, since 50 Shades of Grey started out as a Twilight-fanfic. :-P
