Christmas, annoying people, fun pimping, music... and life...

Christmas is a busy time, ain't it? :-) It sure took some time to get all them Christmas cards/packages/what have you sent off today. Much longer then I thought. But there I go for sending packages all over the world. Sucks with all the paperwork coming with it though. :-P I hope they'll be well received when they arrive. :-)

I forgot to send two off, so they'll be even later. Oh well. :-) That'll be fixed tomorrow. I hope anyway. Peting gets off work early, so maybe he can watch Alexandra while I fix that... It goes much quicker if I do errands without her after all... ;-) It is a bit of a project to get out of the house with a baby. :-)

She's been somewhat fussy during the evenings lately, and started a bad habit at waking up at around 3am for change and food... Not fun. Especially since afterwards she refuses to fall asleep. :-P Last night she woke me up at 2:45am... and then I didn't get to bed until 4:30am... o.O I have had more fun. Gladly she let me sleep until 9:30am after that, so... But still! Nights are for sleeping, baby girl! I thought we had this down already, since she has been really good and slept through the nights up until now.

Our guess though is that she is starting to get teethes... since lately she has started to drool like you wouldn't believe. In other words... Fun times ahead indeed.

Reading the Secret Santa stories that has started to be posted at TH_Fanfic. :-) I love fic-fests at that community, since they are always so well organized! HAIL ALL THE MODS! *waves* It's a lot of twincest though. And even though I do so very much try to be supportive off all writers, I just... can't with some twincest. :-P I am not a fan of it, unless the summery shows a really really interesting story idea. I do prefer the G's to be involved in some way, one or both of them. Or hell, anyone else that shows up in Tokio Hotel fanfic. Just... not twincest. Not so much my cup of tea, even if it IS the most popular pairing in the fandom. Fine for those that like it though. Be my guest. I just wish there was more of all the other pairings to balance it up. :-P I'll try to read as many twincest stories as possible, because I DO want to give my support to the writers who has worked SO HARD to get the stories done in time for the fic-fest. :-)

Anyhow, Christmas is almost upon us (oh dear) and even though I have payed for all of my christmas-gifts I haven't gotten them all yet. Because one of the guys I won two auctions from is an idiot. *head-desk*

I won the auctions 3:e of December. But I didn't hear anything from him in THREE WEEKS! o.O That is last weekend I got a mail 16th of December. Day before I had mailed him and before that I had tried to call him, using the number on his contact info. I tried this MANY TIMES, until I got the message that the number was out of order... WTF? So I figured I'd been scammed and put out the worst review ever on his profile, giving him nearly no points at all. Lowest you could give. THEN I GOT AN EMAIL! o.O Full of excuses, mostly that he'd moved and hence hadn't been able to send the stuff off... DUDE! I don't know about you, but it doesn't take me THREE WEEKS to move! And even if it takes me that long to unpack and such, I mean... If you KNOW you have auctions going, wouldn't you, you know... Put that stuff on the TOP of a box? Or in a special box even? *shakes head* The mail was just FILLED with excuses, and not a word if he'd send it to me... and he started talking about what the practice and unwritten rules are on the site... My dear sir... I am in no way obliged to follow any other rules then those written by the site. If I think you deserve shitty reviews, I will give you that. I have, however, agreed to make it a bit better if he manages to send it off so I get it in time for Christmas. I have my doubts, but if he does? I will. Unlike him, I do keep my promises. Just... what a mess. First time I've had ANY kind of problems with online auctions.

I had a TON of luck with one (I got a brand new usually VERY expensive thing for Peting for peanuts)... and I guess I had to have problems with another just to balance things, I suppose...

Righto!

Bedtime now and tomorrow! I'll wrap the gifts that have gotten here and make sure the apartment don't look like a total mess... and cuddle Alexandra, of course. ;-)

I'll leave you with some AWESOME vids to enjoy! :-D

First some drumming... You all should know how I feel about drummers, by now. I love them. And that's that. :-)

Tommy Lee of Mötley Crüe fame posted these on his Twitter some time ago. He has apparently been involved in a concert... with just drummers. :-D How awesome ain't that??? And the music is GREAT! Do give these a chance and a listen through!

Berzerk Sizzle Reel Part One and Two )

I love watching kid drummers to! Many that show such skill at such a tender age! I just hope many of them keep it up. :-)

Shout at the Devil (Mötley Crüe) played by a 6 year old! And he is GOOD! )

Another thing I love is Disney movies... Despite the... strange things that show up in them. :-) So this seriously made me lol! X-D

The 4 worst lessons Disney movies thought us as kids... )

Anyone who has missed me being a cat-lover hasn't been on my LJ for very long... *lol* Anyway, here's a really cool vid with some of the most uncommon cat-breeds out there! There's a few I would love to either own or meet in real life! :-D

Top 30 unusual cat breeds... )

And now I REALLY need to go sleep! X-D NIGHT!

ALIVE!!! And all over the place...

I am alive! I promise! Hard to believe, I know. Since I am behind on EVERYTHING! ARGH! But I am.

Alexandra sure has kept us busy during the evenings lately. In one way I am happy [livejournal.com profile] peting73 now work day times, since then I get help dealing with her, but geezes girl! o.O She refuses to fall asleep! It is damn impossible! And if we try to put her to bed, or lay her down in our laps she just cries and screams and cries... *sigh* Around 11pm. After some more food. THEN she falls asleep, exhausted. I wonder what this thing of hers is lately... Seriously... Gladly she still sleeps until morning, so at least that is a small favor. :-P

I've managed to fix ALL the Christmas gifts! WOHOO! As long as they get mailed here... :-P I won two auctions from the same person 3d of December... paid them to. And he has still to send them to me. WTF??? I checked to. He has good feedback to, so I don't know what is going on there... Tried to call him today, but the line was busy. :-/ Annoying. Those two are the last gifts to get here and get wrapped. :-P

Oh, and to top it off? I got my first menstrual cramps from HELL yesterday since I got pregnant! ARGH!!! And here I thought getting pregnant and getting a kid would make sure my Endometriosis would be lighter and easier to deal with... HA HA HA HA!!! Apparently not. Fuck. Eating strong painmeds and I do have a Doc-appointment on Monday. If I can get back on the pill or get a intrauterine device with hormones, then that would help. I've heard it has helped others, and I know going on the pill helps tons. I just wanna do a checkup first to see what damage is done on my insides after the pregnancy and if I have new cysts spreading around in there or not... :-P

Fun times all around.

I actually am a lot happier then it looks here. :-) I LOVE Christmas, and have put up my Santa-army all over the apartment, and some Christmas angels to. :-) It looks wonderful. There's plenty snow to, which is just AWESOME! It came a lot of snow and it became REALLY cold very fast this winter so that was awesome!

And the most awesome, most amazing, most magical thing of all....

Ella-Bella, my wonderful globe trotting cousin is coming home this Christmas! :-D I haven't seen her in FOUR YEARS, people! :-D I am so happy about this, you wouldn't believe! FOUR YEARS!!! Oh GOSH! I have bought her a very sweet gift, but the biggest gift is just to be able to meet each other, and for her to meet Alexandra for the first time! *excited*

On a fandom note, me and [livejournal.com profile] snowstormskies have worked on and we've posted and discussed Let Us Hear You, Let Us Feel You (also at[livejournal.com profile] hydrafics). We don't have many readers on it, but the readers we DO have are quite faithful, I'd say. :-) Such LOVELY reviews and comments we get on it. So, if any of you readers are here... THANK YOU!!! Your comments are worth sooo much to us! There we go for pretty much writing a fanfic with the rarest pairing in the fandom.... *lol* Oh well. :-) We wrote what we wanted to read, so there. :-D

Also, they'll be late, but I'll make a post about Christmas-cards (with added candy) after this post... so if you want Swedish candy, let me know in my next post! :-D

As always, if you wanna stalk me, you can find me on my Twitter and on my Plurk at all times. ;-)

Beautiful and sad Sons of Anarchy behind the scenes... and other TV-shows and such...

I just got my heart slightly broken by a behind the scenes vid for Sons of Anarchy...

WARNING! HEAVY spoilers for everything up to Season 5!!! (Beginning of.)

Behind the scenes vid from Sons of Anarchy... filled with spoilers... )

ANYHOW!

Been a good day today and yesterday. :-) Been to the library for a singalong yesterday. Alexandra really enjoys that, so it was a success I'd say. Sadly though it won't be anymore of that until January now, since everything stops pretty much for the holidays and won't be picked up again until then. :-P I hope Open Preschool will stay up for a bit longer. Sadly though, we can't go there tomorrow (it's every Thursday), since that idiotic parenting group is tomorrow. :-P But it is the last one, so I think I'll live. :-) And I'll make sure to dress Alexandra as gothic as possible. Just for the hell of it. ;-)

Working on yet another fic with [livejournal.com profile] snowstormskies... A darkfic. A really really darkfic... (Like Chained II is all fluff... or not...) And it is SO MUCH FUN to let that side of my fic-brain out to play! :-D I don't mind have my brain picked at all with her! We discuss and talk and she does the prose, I comment on it, we discuss some more, any changes needed is done... and then voilá! There is fic. Apparently our brains work well together. I just wish I could write prose to, and we'd be golden. Alas I can not. :-P

Also, me and [livejournal.com profile] spicehobbit are working our way through Supernatural right now, since she has a workmate that has the entire series so far... I've seen through Season One, and it was... so so. Nothing special to me, really. But during the second half of Seson One, it started to pick up speed and be interesting. Today I've watched a lot of beginning of Season Two, and to be frank... It is so SOOO much better then Season One. But I think that is how most TV-shows work. First season, not always so good, and after that it picks up speed. :-) Buffy and Xena is like that to.

We've also fixed Netflix on our insane monstrous HUGE smart-TV that [livejournal.com profile] peting73 got to himself as a birthday gift... So now I am digging through both Tudors the fourth and last season AND the slightly weird X-files copy Fringe. :-) Both awesome to watch!

So that is pretty much what I do all day. Watch TV, take walks, and take care of Alexandra. My exciting life... :-P I have Twitter and Plurk on the phone though, so you can always always find me and or get to me there. :-)

Life and my lil family... and a kink-meme!

This is going to be a weird ass post, since it'll deal with both sides of me. Life as is, and also fandom and such...

ANYHOW!

It's been another week with activities for me and Alexandra. Had that parenting group meeting on Wedneysday, two days ago. Bitch mom, if you remember her.... was not there. HALLELUJAH! So it was much nicer. I even hung out a bit afterwards and talked to two other moms. Which was nice. One of the moms in that group, however... is either extremely shy or suffers from some serious blues... :-/ She hardly answers when you talk to her! Every meeting we've been to, I've tried to engage her in conversation, since she is not one of Bitch moms yes-sayers. No luck. Wonder why? Am I that scary? And I really am trying to be very nice and soft with her when I do try... Uhu...

Since we were at the lil library close by this time, it was quite fun since I've worked a lot there, so it was a very familiar place for me. :-) The librarians were very happy to meet me and Alexandra to! Books for babies were discussed and I borrowed some with me home, so now we read at least one book each day me and Alexandra. Very simple books. Made out of cardboard the entire book, so it won't break when Alexandra fiddles with it, and just sentences with two-four words in them. EXTREMELY simple. But very important. See, reading a lot to your lil baby helps him/her develop his/her language better. :-) Not to mention you'll get a kid that loves books. Win-win. :-) We'll be reading a lot to Alexandra, that's for sure.

This week we've also been to a sing-along at the big city library with a lot of kids up to 1 year old... and we've been to Open Preschool as well, also with kids only up to 1 year old. Alexandra loves this! So much to look at! And listen to! I think it is good for her development this. I'll definitely keep it up. :-) Not to mention it is fun for me to, meeting other moms (and dads). Open Preschool is really really awesome, just gotta say. So thankful that exists. :-D

[livejournal.com profile] peting73 is doing better to. He's been home this week to let his back heal from that lumbago... Nasty business... But he is taking his meds and is very careful when he lifts anything... while also taking short walks to move his back and everything, and he says he is doing a lot better. He put Alexandra in the baby sitter today, and the last time he did that his back fucked it self up... now it worked out fine. :-) So he is definitely on the mend. He'll go back to work next week, he says, since apparently he feels like that would be good for him even if he'll take it easy there to. He is going a bit insane being home all the time. *lol*

Oh, talking off family, I also updated Alexandras LJ with a TON of photos the other day! :-D Go to [livejournal.com profile] mini_viking to see! :-D

Onwards to fandom things!

Well, fanfic things at any rate. [livejournal.com profile] snowstormskies posted this, and so I just HAVE to do that to... since I am involved in writing fanfic with her! (In the Tokio Hotel fandom.) Both Let Us Hear You, Let Us Feel You and Chained II. :-)

So now... Kinks. Some warning. I have a thing for darkfics, so... Keep that in mind. :-) ONWARDS!

Kinks

1. List five bullet proof kinks that make you go weak at the knees. Real life, fic, or just in your own mind, what makes your brain light up like Las Vegas?

2. List five major turnoffs. What makes you reach for the vomit bucket? What just makes you go, "And... yeah... no, that's just not working for me..." Again, fic or RL, or your own little fantasies, what makes you want to take your ball and go home?

Good stuff first... (and I went to check some of my favorite fics, their warnings for this... *lol*)

The good dark/twisted/sick stuff I like reading... )

Bad stuff... The just NO-list... (And here it gets a bit trickier, considering what I actually LIKE! X-D)

Stuff that I REALLY dislike... )

So... How many followers did I just lose considering what I enjoy reading? *lol*

Sexmästeri/Sexmasters strike again! Boring mom talk... and such... *lol*

We have started to use new bigger bottles when feeding Alexandra since she eats more now! Unfortunately not the cool Rock Star Baby bottles that I'd found. Two of them I kinda wanted, but after some research on various mom-sites and such, they weren't very practical. Dammit. :-/ Might buy something else from that site one day though even if it is expensive like fuck (like THIS dress, geezes how cute ain't that! o.O) I really really wanted them bottles. Ah well. Two new MAM-bottles it was, the bigger anti-colic ones. Practical but a lil boring. As soon as I see someone bottle-feeding around here... they have the MAM bottles. :-P They are good for kid, but still. Boring. When we used the smaller ones she had a green one and a pink one, but I refused to buy another pink bottle, dammit! So now she has a yellow/golden one and a blue one. Colours of the swedish flag! *lol* I swear someone will think she is a boy when we use the blue bottle. *shakes head at stereotypes*

My exciting life... I discuss baby-bottles... *lol* X-D

At least I get to be somewhat kinky/pervy at times when I work on the INSANE fic of DOOM aka Hydra aka Let Us Hear You, Let Us Feel You... (Read it at [livejournal.com profile] hydrafics AND at THFiction! Let us know what you think!) Thank gawd for that. And for some obscure reason I ended up helping [livejournal.com profile] snowstormskies with her sequel to the amazing fic Chained to Morpheus that she wrote... which promptly made sure the sequel might end up several miles long... o.O How the hell did THAT happen? *shakes head in amusement*

Yesterday we had a blast though, all three off us. :-)

Yes, indeed. It was time for the Sexmasters jubilee! :-D I love going to these parties every fith year, since I get the chance to see all the people I used to work with when I did all that volenteer work in the Student Union Pub! And all the people who have done the same work before me... and after me... :-) A bit different this time though, since we had Alexandra with us. Of course we did! These parties with Sexmasters usually end up loud and boistorius and crazy with a lot of alchol and a lot of lovely and crazy people. :-D Let's just say that we sang A LOT of songs and most of them were of the NC17 character... Wait. There aren't that many songs I KNOW that are NOT NC17! X-D And I learned most of them during my Sexmasters year 2003. *LOL*

I meet up with my ex, who has SERIOUSLY buffed himself up! o.O My gawd... I said no to THAT? Geezes... Not to mention he got himself a really REALLY good job these days traveling all over the world weeks at a time... Oh, he'll be in China next month... FOR THREE WEEKS!!! o.O Staying in some really nice hotels, working and enjoying life in China while making a good paycheck! WHAT?!?! Again, I SAID NO TO THAT?!?! Oh yeah, I remember now... He hates conflict, is just TO nice and well... He has still to grow up some. ;-) Like growing a spine and some balls... *cough* He is still a sweet guy though, and it was awesome to talk to him and all the other friends there. :-D

[livejournal.com profile] spicehobbit was awesome as always and had made a copy of the overalls me and [livejournal.com profile] peting73 always wear at events like these for Alexandra, complete with her name on the back of it and a bunch of patches here and there. We have a TON of them patches on our overalls but since hers are new and kinda small... not so many for her. ;-)

We had such a blast! No drinking for me, since I was driving AND taking care of Alexandra. Not that [livejournal.com profile] peting73 drank much, since he wanted to be able to take care of her to, but still. We stayed as long as we dared to, until Alexandra got really really fussy, clearly very tired. Then we left. But it was still a blast, and all the other people there were totally charmed by Alexandra. :-D

Already looking forward to the next jubilee in five years... *lol*

Muscled bodies, cranky baby... and such...

Haven't done much today... only taken care of Alexandra. Since she woke up in a mood today! She was crying all over the place during the late morning, and just wouldn't relax unless she was in my lap cuddling and suckling on my boobs... We seriously tried everything, but nothing else helped. She has upped her eating again, eating more, so maybe she had a bit of a stomach cramp today. I hope she'll be in a better mood tomorrow, since it is time for the Sexmasters* jubilee then...

Also, also! I updated Alexandras LJ today! With more photos for anyone interested! :-D She sure is growing our girl! Go here: [livejournal.com profile] mini_viking

Anyway, I've been fangirling all over Sons of Anarchy when I haven't taken care of fussy baby. [livejournal.com profile] peting73 is always off on Fridays, so we've been taking turns. :-)

And can you blame a girl when there's guys with muscled backs like this?:

Opies yummy muscles and tattoos... )

Just... GUH, Opie! o.O And why haven't I found a shirtless photo of Chibs yet...? *desperate* Chibs is seriously my favorite. His accent or brogue is something seriously sexy... and the scars... I have such a thing for scars... *head-desk* The search continues.

And then there's Tig... Now that character ain't quite right in the head. I love him though, despite his slight insanity. But since he seems to be the one doing much of the dirty work? I don't blame him for going a bit insane. And this vid? Was WONDERFUL! Only spoiler I could see was for season one, and it is very slight, so no risk of being spoiled watching this one! Cool song, cool photography and cool editing. :-D Awesome fan-vid in other words!

Monster... )

Also, a fan posted this... X-D It made me laugh! I mean, in the midst of all that blood and mayhem, one has to have a laugh to! Poor Juice... even though he is no prospect anymore (unless you count some fanfics...). :-D

Juice being the buttend of jokes... again... )

Right, now I am going to do some more fanfic-work... aka answer an email that is 16 pages long(!), and then I'll go to bed. :-) I hope everyone will have a wonderful weekend!

* Again, has nothing to do with sex. It is a word game on the old fashioned swedish word sexa that means party or feast. Basically Sexmasters means Partymasters.

Life, mc-guys and librarians!

Guys... I am reading gay romance/erotica with big violent MC-guys... probably not very cleanly guys, considering they are mechanics...

....

I don't know if that is a new low or not... Gawd damn you, Sons of Anarchy!!! *head-desk*

I am almost through season three now, and this show keeps just getting better and better. I love it. I really really do.

Today though we've been visiting Pistolero, the local tattoo-studio that have done my latest tattoos and have one of the best artists in town working there... Both me and [livejournal.com profile] peting73 have booked an appointment there. After each other, so we'll pretty much be doing our tattoos the same time. :-) And they'll look the same to! Alexandras hand and foot prints! And the date she was born and her name. :-) I am SOOO excited you have no idea! :-D It'll be my 6th tattoo... and [livejournal.com profile] peting73s first. He keeps saying he is a chicken, since he is not to fond of needles... I bet he'll do fine though. ;-) February we'll go do the deed! And yes, we'll bring Alexandra to, of course! :-D

After we were there, [livejournal.com profile] peting73 went to work and me and Alexandra went to visit the big city library where I worked hired by the hour before I got pregnant and during my pregnancy. The librarians there were so happy to meet us! And Alexandra charmed them all, of course! *grin* There's just something with a baby that makes everyone melt, apparently. :-) She was very well behaved the whole time! And being at a library I couldn't help myself but borrowed a few books (about baby-massage) and a few parenting magazines. :-) It'll be some nice reading I am sure!

When we got home though lil miss Alexandra just wanted mom's lap, so... I got stuck in the couch... and watched more Sons of Anarchy... I am doomed, I tell you. DOOMED!

Sons of Anarchy....

One week has gone by, and apparently both me and Alexandra survived. :-)

We've taken walks with the pram, and we've spent a whole day downtown... Alexandra seems to enjoy being in the pram, so she was very well behaved the whole time on both occasions. During our day downtown, I found a new nice "fika"-place were I got a piece of sponge-cake and tea while feeding her forumla. :-) So we had SUCH a great day then. :-)

When we've been home though, and Alexandra wants to use me as a bed or pacifier (happens A LOT), I've ended up watching the Sons of Anarchy DVD's that we have here... And I am now SO HOOKED on this show, you have NO idea... Gawd dammit... I did NOT need a new fandom. *head-desk*

But it is such a great show. The writing is AMAZING! And the actors really bring their best all the time. I am sooo so hooked. Me and [livejournal.com profile] peting73 watched Season One some time ago, and then we just forgot about watching more of it... but still bought the season-boxes. So now I finished off Season Two and have started Season Three... and have Season Four to watch after that. What I'll do waiting for Season Five to be released to, I don't know... But considering I've found fanfic and communities here on LJ... I have a pretty good idea. Did I mention I did not need more fandoms? I did, didn't I? Well, dammit...

Plan for this weekend is for tomorrow... me, [livejournal.com profile] peting73 and Alexandra to take a walk with his cousin downtown, since it is a market weekend this weekend, and the whole off downtown will be filled with market booths. So there's that. Will be interesting, since [livejournal.com profile] peting73s cousin might have a hard time sometimes to understand this thing with prams and babies who need food at certain times... might stress her out a bit... But I guess she'll learn. :-) No other choice, is there?

And... AND!!! The other day the expansion for World of Warcraft was released... Mists of Pandaria! :-D I've made myself a pandaran monk and played around with. The game has gotten somewhat an upgrade graphic-wise as well, which is good. Needed, since the game is 7 years old by now... o.O Insane! Have I mentioned we've played it that whole time to...? *cough* Nerd, nerd... Only game I play and I love it dearly.... Both me and [livejournal.com profile] peting73 have been playing while having Alexandra in a baby carrier. :-) It's really cosy, I gotta say!

Also, the other day I found this in the community [livejournal.com profile] geekparents...

WoW addict in the making...

I mean, come on... How cute ain't that? :-D I love it!

Almost caught up on LJ to (again), so there's hope on that as well. I am mostly active on Twitter and Plurk, as I've said before, so you wanna keep track of my dealings, check out them places. :-)

Weekend trip, cleaning and fandom!

This weekend turned out to be absolutely EXCELLENT! :-) Even though I'll admit that I was a bit worried about doing such a long drive with lil Alexandra. Turned out, I didn't need to be worried. :-) I knew she liked going in the car, but I didn't think she'd be so calm for two hours. She slept almost the entire way! :-D And when she didn't sleep, she just looked around for a moment, and then continued sleeping. Really good to know!

I didn't forget packing anything off her stuff. Even brought a bit to much, to be honest! *lol* I did forget my own stuff though, like shower-stuff... Good thing we stayed at moms! She always lets me use hers if I need to. :-D

I'd made a plan with my relatives that they could come visit on Saturday evening and say hello to Alexandra. My brother though couldn't be there on Saturday but his family came over on Friday evening instead. :-) He IS working on a farm and it is harvest-times, so... He works from sunup to sundown almost every single day, weekends to... I can fully understand if he wants to sleep when coming home! But his kids, Tilda and Theo, were so excited to meet their new cousin, he gave in and they came over all four of them and we had a WONDERFUL evening with mom. :-) Now a triple grandma! :-D

My brothers kids were SO CUTE with Alexandra it was crazy! They didn't leave her side the entire time we were there, and when they found out we would spend the night, they wanted to stay to! X-D They were especially excited that she was a girl, since all their cousins on their mothers side are boys. :-)

One fun thing happened though... I say, from the mouths of kids... Both Tilda and Theo even came with me to over-look when I changed Alexandras diapers... and at one point I had to struggle not to crack up. X-D They are so cute. Went a bit like this:

I walk upstairs, start changing Alexandras diaper, cleaning her up and stuff... I had put her on a bed, so it was low so Tilda and Theo could be close to Alexandra and see what I was doing. At one point Tilda says that it is clear Alexandra is a girl because she has a slit and girls have a slit and boys have a willie. To this I said that yes, this is true. Tilda (5 years old), happy about the fact she got it right, agreed and said yeah.... Because Theo has a willie and he is a boy! Theo (3 years old) just nodding agreeing because you know... big sister is always right, right?

Oh, they were so cute them two siblings! X-D After that we went down stairs all three of us and continued hanging out. I told my brother and his wife about what their kids had said and they just laughed, saying yeah... what else to expect from my brothers kids? They got it right, of course! But the way she said it, right out of the blue, was just to cute! :-)

On Saturday more relatives came over, like one of my uncles and my aunt, both with their families. :-) Was SO awesome to meet them and they all cooed over how cute Alexandra was! And she got SO MANY GIFTS! Geezes... Lots and lots of clothing! Got winter-stuff for her to, so now that is solved! Bring it on, King Bore!

So that was awesome really all around. :-) Trip home went just as well. I posted an update to [livejournal.com profile] mini_viking with photos from the trip if you wanna see. :-) [livejournal.com profile] peting73 has also posted more photos of Alexandra!

Yesterday and today we've started to clean out the apartment. [livejournal.com profile] peting73 will start work next week, so it would be nice to get a big housecleaning done. I've taken care of Alexandras room and the living room so far. Tomorrow I'll tackle the kitchen. It'll be a pure relief to have a clean home soon again... *sigh*

I sure hope everyone had a great weekend and a good start to this week. I sure did. Got to read the ending of the fanfic [livejournal.com profile] iamkaa wrote for me. I HIGHLY recommend it to anyone! Well... If you got a stomach for it. It is a horror-story, and she is GOOD at writing SERIOUSLY creepy stuff... I wrote a prompt based on THIS artwork . She just ran with it and some! Talk about delivering! :-D

Vampires and babies!

Had such a blast yesterday, even if I was scary tired today. :-P

We took Alexandra with us and visited the LARP yesterday. Oh my lord! X-D That was an interesting experience! Let's just say she charmed them all! I mean, they all knew I was pregnant and all, but to actually meet Alexandra in the flesh was apparently somewhat of a shock for some. *lol* A though, who plays the vampire-mistress of my character, was OVER THE MOON! X-D She didn't wanna let Alexandra go and carried her around for nearly all the time we were there! She is much younger then me, but I bet it won't take long before she and her hubby has kids of their own...

Quite a few didn't even dare to hold Alexandra. I mean, I have no problems with people I know, friends and family, holding her. I trust them and know they'll be careful. But they didn't dare to. Said she was so tiny they feared she'd break or something. :-) There's a girl there that shares Alexandras name, and it would have been cool if she'd held her being such a cool and gorgeous gothic lolita / ladylike goth, but alas... No such thing. Can't have everything I suppose. Maybe when she grows a bit more older and steady in her body...

Alexandra got hungry while we were there, of course, so I bottlefeed her there. Got questions about that, as expected, but they were really nice about it. :-) The day I'll feed her downtown in the future will be less fun though, I fear... Alexandra is none the wiser though, and just eats and sleeps (and poops!). When we borrowed a table to change her diaper, the guys in said room fled the area! X-D Made me laugh... Have all these tough cool goth guys just fleeing a room... Good going, Alexandra!

Anyway, wanna see photos of the visit, go to Alexandras LJ / photo-album: [livejournal.com profile] mini_viking. I've posted the photos there. :-)

Other then caring for Alexandra, I am following the postings for the FQF fics currently being posted on [livejournal.com profile] th_fanfic the little time I have to spend online. :-) So far, it's been some SERIOUSLY good fics! :-D So awesome! I think two or three of my prompts were taken, and one of them were posted today! A Tomstav fic! And it was AWESOME! And so sexy! So very very sexy... Now I want a sequel! (Gotta find out what happens in the hotel-room later on, after all! X-D) I still don't know who wrote it, of course, but I do have a sneaky suspicion... I'll have to wait for the reveal-post before finding out if I am right. ;-)

You can read said Tomstav here: Don't Touch. (Have to be a member though...)

Motherhood and fandom...

Been at the Child Wellfare Center today to! Well, as long as Alexandra is this small, we have to go there once a week. And today! FINALLY! She got approved. She is FINALLY gaining enough weight as she should according to the charts they have there! WOHOO! :-D Every time we've been there earlier all we've heard is that she is a bit to small and not gaining enough weight... and that the nurse was worried about me to and so on and so forth...

Well, today both me AND Alexandra got approved. *lol* I've grounded myself a lot and feel SOOOO much better now. :-) And then Alexandra got a stamp of approval to, which made both me AND [livejournal.com profile] peting73 feel so much better as well. :-)

Showed the nurse the book about bottle-feeding that I've borrowed at the library to, and she was very interested in reading it as well! (Swedish book: Att flaskmata with website HERE.) She'd heard about it before, but never got around to borrowing it. Well, now she asked me how should go about to do so, since I am a librarian and all... *lol* :-D I told her, and now she'll borrow it and read it as well. I mean, supporting breastfeeding is VERY important! But bottlefeeding moms should get support to! So even nurses might need to read up a bit at times. ;-)

Alexandra is clearly in a growth-spurt now, since during the day she eats A LOT and often! Which gives me even less time online... Bummer! But I am still OH so very excited about the FQF fics that will soon be posted on [livejournal.com profile] th_fanfic! I left a ton of prompts on the prompt-posts, and TWO got taken! :-D A dark one, even! MY! I can not WAIT to read it! And try to guess who wrote it... I suck at guessing writers, but I'll definitly give it a go. :-) I still re-read the dark-fic that [livejournal.com profile] teganscrush wrote me on the last FQF... Geez, that thing still moves me like no other fic has managed to... o.O So many writers so many fanfic so little time...

Talking about fanfic, I spread [livejournal.com profile] snowstormskies and my fanfic Let us hear you, let us feel you... the next chapter (nr 5) on a bunch of communities the other day so more could read it. Said chapter has been posted to THFiction to, and... things are about to get hot and heavy... ;-) *grin* Plus there's some serious plot that has showed it's ugly face as well! :-D

Go read it will you! And make sure to spread the word about it to. :-) That story deserves more readers, I feel...

[livejournal.com profile] tokiohotelslash: 1 | 2 | 3 | 4 | 5

According to THFiction it has been read 388 times (at this min) but only has 25 reviews... FAIL! And there is nearly no comments on it here on LJ. :-P There we go for writing a pairing not many are interested in. :-/ *pats the threesome*

I think I'll pimp it a bit more on G's Daily when posting tonight... :-)

And if this post wasn't obvious enough... Yeah, I do feel more and more like myself each day... just with added motherhood. ;-)

Pregnancy, Olympics and fanfic!

Clearly I am still home and not at the maternity ward. :-P *sigh* At least I can say Nerd Jr is still moving around in there, so I take that as a good sign that the little one is doing good still. :-) I just wish she/he could decide to join us out here instead. :-P

Yesterday we took it real easy here, not doing much at all. Well, we went shopping for food a bit. And for diapers and such for Nerd Jr. Was the last thing needed really. But after that, we didn't do much. I have this nap-craving every day, and yesterday I was SO TIRED all day! Damn annoying, but what can you do? So I took a long nap in the middle of the day.

Today though we visited my MIL, [livejournal.com profile] peting73s mom. :-) She had found a nice recipe for a meat stew with wine and lots of spices and such in it. And she wanted us to come over and try it out, so we did. :-) And OMG! It was DELICIOUS, I tell you! SO GOOD! All the alcohol in the wine had all evaporated, so it was just the lovely taste of the wine left. YUM, YUM, I tell you! :-D

Then we stayed there for about four or five hours. She'd found some old baby-clothes from when SHE and her sister were kids! Like in the mid to late 1950's. Old, but very nice clothing! She'd picked out the stuff that was still really good, like a couple of white cotton shirts with lace on them. SO cute! And some sheets for the cradle and the crib bed. :-) With lace and embroideries on them. :-) Gorgeous stuff!

Nerd Jr is going to be my MIL's one and only grandchild, since [livejournal.com profile] peting73 is an only child himself. And he is 38 years old already, so I think she'd given up hope on him. :-) Making Nerd Jr a true gift for her. My mom had probably given up hope on me to, but my brother has two GORGEOUS kids, so she is already a grandma to them. I am so very very happy not only for US! Nerd Jr is a true gift for us to after all we've gone through to make sure she/he can join us... but a true gift for [livejournal.com profile] peting73s mom as well. :-) She'll be one AWESOME grandma, I am sure!

Right, so enough talk about Nerd Jr! :-D Some Olympics perhaps? Haven't written much about that. :-)

Anyone watching the Olympics? I don't watch it THAT actively. I mean, sure. The TV is on and it runs there, but... Yeah. I don't watch it that much. i check the website and check how many medals each country has managed to collect, but that is pretty much it. For the record, China and the US seems to be bloody unbeatable... o.O DAMN that is a lot of gold medals the athletes of those two countries have collected! I am glad Great Britain have collected quite the bunch to, considering they are hosting the games. :-)

There was quite the thrill for a Swedish athlete yesterday though! We have better athletes for the winter games, not so surprisingly... But yesterday during the Women's Triathlon... there was quite the thrill! o.O We had the TV running while doing other stuff, and all of a sudden [livejournal.com profile] peting73 got all excited in front of the TV! And the finish was QUITE exciting to watch! :-D They were running pretty much side to side the Swedish girl and the Swiss girl, so the judges and such had to consult photos and computers to decide who the winner was! It was SOOOO CLOSE! In the end though, the Swedish girl got the silver. :-)

And then today? Today the Swedish athletes got their first gold! :-D In sailing! Men's Star Sailing, no less! :-D I guess it is the old viking blood that runs true... *lol* ;-)

We'll get back to you during the Winter Olympics... I bet our athletes then will take more medals. ;-)

Oh, oh, oh!!! Have a shameless self-pimp!

If you are a Tokio Hotel fan? I HIGHLY suggest you check out the fanfic me and [livejournal.com profile] snowstormskies have worked for... well, ages it feels like. :-P We have just started posting it! :-D Three chapters so far. It is a HUGE fanfic, so... I hope some more would be curious and want to check it out. :-) We nick-named the fanfic The Hydra, because it pretty much work like the legendary creature... the more you try to cut it down...? The more heads it grows. *lol* The final name though ended up being Let us hear you, let us feel you... and it's a threesome BDSM story. :-)

An update on most things! I AM ALIVE!

I am not dead! I am still alive and around! I don't know why I haven't updated much... Uhu... Guess I haven't had that much to say. :-P

Well, that is not entirly true either. I have had a good time as well. Let's see if we can split this up, shall we?

Pregnancy

Not many days left now... IF Nerd Jr keeps to schedule he/she will be born around 6th of August. That is just four weeks from now, if that. I've been asked if I am nervous about the delivery. And I can honestly say both yes and no to that. I mean, of course I am nervous. But not the OMG-SO-MUCH-PANIC-nervous. I am pretty calm about it, really. I've been to the maternity ward at the hospital already. Seen it, said hi to a few midwifes/nurses. Even meet a Doc there who was very kind. So yeah. I feel very confident I'll get the best of care. I know what pain-meds they have, and I know what I'd like to try first before they bring the big guns. I mean, I feel pretty good about it, even if I am slightly nervous to.

Nerd Jr is doing just fine. :-) Been on regular checkups and even though she/he is on the lower scale, she/he still grows as she/he should. She/He is just a small baby. :-) (And I got wide hips, so that should work out fine!) Laying with her/his head down now all prepared and everything, so all I gotta do now is wait. And wait. :-P

Only thing that is currently bothering me is my feet. They are swollen, and uncomfortable. Not achy, just... uncomfortable. And my legs and feet get tired very very quickly. :-P All in all my energy is kinda low at the moment, and I do take naps every day. :-P Not so very fun. Well, that and when Nerd Jr is poking my ribs. :-P There's a lot of action in there now!

LARP and LARP-friends

I love my LARP-friends. I really really do. :-) They are all so cute and they are all so so excited about Nerd Jr like you all wouldn't believe! I've had to promise several times to come visit with Nerd Jr, which I will do. I've gotten questions if it is OK for them to make gifts for her/him (which it is). And when I was a the LARP the last time on the 7th, they were all "Oh, sit here! This is the comfy chair! Can we help you? Are you OK? How's the baby? Can I pat the belly?" They are just the cutest ever! And anyone who try to tell me that goths and metal heads and alternative rockers and all around alternative people are scary people? Come here and I'll tell how it REALLY works...

From now on I'll be dealing with my character online only. I just... can't go to the LARP and act her out anymore, what with swollen feet and big belly and all that. So no LARP all night long for me for a year or so until Nerd Jr has grown up some and I can go back to it. No, I won't give it up. Why would I? It is my most beloved hobby. There'll be less of it, for sure. But I won't stop LARPing or roleplaying. I just wont.

Friends

Had a very very nice visit from [livejournal.com profile] astroflammante and [livejournal.com profile] tekiila the other day to! My goodness... We've known each other long now, haven't we? :-) Since 2001 no less. :-) Anyway, it was really really fun to get a visit from them! They were here on a vacation just to go shopping in Gothenburg, hanging out with friends and just have a good time. After an incident with taking the wrong buss... they came over here and we hung out for quite a few hours! :-D Was awesome! They to came to the conclusion that Nerd Jr is going to be the nerdiest kid ever... Approriate nickname for kid then, I believe... *lol* They checked out the apartment and the changes we made, then we just hung out and talked, had dinner, talked some more... and almost had them miss their train! X-D Oups! *lol* It happens when you have a good time, I suppose. :-)

They gave me a gift to! Even though it is not my birthday quite yet, and well... [livejournal.com profile] astroflammantes birthday is before mine... I still got a gift. :-) A book (no surprise there, we're all librarians!) that I've been curious at for a bit, actually. It is a Young Adult book... well, I'd say a book for all ages from what I've read about it. Fantasy/creepy/horror... aka right up my ally. :-) The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern. I didn't even know it was translated to swedish, but apparently it is. I really look forward to read it once I am done with the book I currently read. :-)

Fandom

I am currently having my brain picked on a daily basis... HA HA HA! X-D

Me having my brain picked )

The G/T/G fic me and [livejournal.com profile] snowstormskies are working on have again picked up speed. :-) Hence why she is picking my brain every day and calling me a co-writer (how the hell did that happen?). We have almost finished the first part of it now. Not the first chapter. Oh no... This has grown so huge, it is split into parts... then those parts will be split into chapters. It's huge. We have over 20 parts (also to be split into chapters) filled with ideas and stuff to write. None of us knows how this ended up this huge, but it did. And here we are. So much love to our waiting [livejournal.com profile] steinsgrrl. I hope you can be patient with us just a lil more? Sorry you had to wait so long to beta this. We still need you! And we love you for agreeing to beta this monster of a fic!

LJ-friends

There are a few of you that I really really worry about. Geezes, life has really hit you over the head or everything is just black or... just... I don't know. And I worry about you. So so much. And I am told not to, since I have other stuff in life to worry about myself. But you know what? Just because I am about to become a mom, doesn't mean I'll forget my friends here on LJ. It really doesn't. You are on my mind daily, and I worry and think about you. I really do. Hang in there all of you. *hugs*

Livejournal

I know this will probably upset people, so WARNING! This will be a mini-rant.

Rant, rant... )

Right so, that's it for today. Some update, eh? *lol* I'll get better at updating, promise! Now to answer all them comments I've slacked off answering. Onwards and upwards, everyone!

100 Things to read! (3/100)

Right.

Great things to read! (Books/Comics/Fanfic)

So. I read fanfic in a lot of fandoms. How much in either fandom, that varies... But I do read now and then in most of them. :-) The first fandom where I really started to get into fanfics was... the Xena-fandom. I've read A TON of fanfics in this fandom. Femme-slash mostly, but also slash and het. I have a few favorites that I go back to with regularity. And this? This is one of those. It is.. HILARIOUS! Not to mention sweet... and very sexy to. ;-)

It's about Joxer... and Ares God of War. Now, for those not in the fandom, I'll give you a photo of each character so you have a mental image of these two. ;-) (Both clickable for bigger, of course!)

Ares, God of War:

Joxer:

Now in the show Ares was just that. God of War. The character wanted chaos and war. Had warlords he favored. Made sure kingdoms fought. Etc, etc... He was a bad guy most of the time... but had a soft spot for Xena and her friends and at times.... helped them to. And got helped by them as well, when he ended up in trouble... They had a strange love/hate relationship to Ares. Sometimes bad guy, sometimes good guy... and sometimes just a pain in the ass with all his wars... But one thing never changed. Ares was dangerous. VERY dangerous... He was a God. And he was War.

And then there was Joxer... Joxer wanted to be one of Ares favored warriors... And liked to pretend he was to. But. He wasn't. Joxer was the comedic relief in the show. He was clumsy and failed pretty much with everything he did in some lol-worthy way. He had a HUGE heart though... and a strange bravery. Even though he was scared as FUCK most of the time, he still stood up for his friends and tried to help them. Even succeeded at times, mostly by luck. But he always tried. Bravery of a lion, they said... but no skill what so ever.

Now in this fic... Not only do they pair these two up... they genderbend one of them to. X-D

Ares is having a tough time... and he complains to his family. His sisters... That is, Aphrodite and Athena. Godesses... Female godesses... Also quite dangerous when they set their mind on something. They gets feed up with their brother... and decidedes to teach him a lesson... and turn him into a woman.

So, all of a sudden... War is not a man. War is a woman. Hilarity ensues where Ares at first is quite happy with the addition to her/his body (woo... boobs...cool...) and then quite horrified with the loss of parts.... (holy shit! my cock is gone! *faints*)

I won't say anything more, but to say a lot of hilarity ensues as Ares tries to deal with troublesome warlords who don't like to be bossed around by women, gods or not.... The not so happy time of the month... exploring her new body... and trying to get back at her sisters.... And then there is Joxer... and his strange gifts to her various temples... and his prayers to his favorite godess...

It is a wonderful little story. And I do return to it a lot. Even printed it out so I wouldn't lose it. Language might not be the best here and there, but... it is STILL so good! Such a wonderful feeling in the entire story.

When it comes to Xena fanfic, this is one of those fanfic I recommend with all my love of said fandom. It is absolutly wonderful. A real feel good story.

LARP and life and such!

Tomorrow is LARP-day! :-D Wohoo! And I got some busy stuff to do next week to. :-) Busy but good. YAY!

Oh, I haven't been at the LARP for a month! I can't wait. :-D I kinda miss it a bit. :-) And for ONCE... I am kinda nervous. Gonna tease my LARP-buddies to hell and back tomorrow. I haz plans. ;-)

Other then that I have mostly amused myself with teasing [livejournal.com profile] snowstormskies to hell and back... and writing that G/T/G fic with her. :-) It goes slowly, but the first chapter is soon done, I think... Awesomeness! :-D

Right, so... since my day tomorrow will consist of work from 10:45am-4:15pm and then LARP all night until most likely 3-5am... I will now go to bed. ;-) It's been a good, but lazy day today! :-D

Here, have a link to an Opera..... The GAY Don Giovanni... I kinda wanna see this... It looks SO awesome!

A great weekend, a shitty day and also Game of Thrones Episode 8 - Season 1.....

Have just watched Game of Thrones and can I just say....

HOLY SHIT! SHIT KEEPS HITTING THE FAN! THERE IS NO END TO IT!!! *flails*

Also, I really just wanna give Sansa a good hit over her head and a stern talking to. What the HELL is the matter with that girl? All my bets are on Arya. What a cool girl. I hope she'll go far. She and Daenerys.

And poor Sean Bean. He keeps getting roles that never gets a good ending. What is up with that?

Anyhow, Game of Thrones have been the only good thing today. Let me explain.

I had one wonderful weekend. It was Easter, but I didn't really celebrate it. Well, I did visit my brother, since his youngest had his birthday. That boy is all of 3 years old now, and cute as you can be! As is his 5 year old sister. :-) And when visiting, apparently they were in an Auntie KSena mood, since they crawled all over me, wanted to snuggle, wanted me to play with them and wanted me to read them books. So I did just that. I love my brothers kids, they are so, so cute... :-) They were a little sniffly and had a bit of cough, but I didn't think to much off it. I mean, they're kids and you can point to any kid and most have just that. It's a kid thing, I believe.

But apparently this kid-cough thing was contagious. :-/

I've been working quite a bit this week. There is Easter holiday this week, so all schools are closed. Meaning there is a shitton of kids, parents, elderly, child care centers and such visiting the library. AKA a shit ton of people. So they've called in us, me and my friend who also work by the hour there.

It's been fine so far. But today I worked a full day. Something I haven't done in a while. And I've had to deal with SOOOO many complaints and just all around rude people and loud kids and just... GAH! I want to hit something or someone at this point, seriously... Not to mention when I woke up this morning, I had an itchy throat, and lets just say that has only gotten worse. And worse. And then I started to sneeze... and cough some more... and sneeze... *head-desk*

So it's been a bad day today. Only bright spot has been epic Game of Thrones. Seriously.

And, having a bad day, I had a serious craving for Tokio Hotel fanfic. Especially dark-fic. And I found one that was much better then I thought it would be when starting to read it. Definitely an interesting concept taken. And the writer really does get the lovely friendship between all them four boys across, while also pairing them up. Not many readers of that thing, so I hope I can attract more readers for this. It is really worth it to check it out. Especially if you like Torg... ;-)

Angel by Dayast Joy

I do recommend all Torg-fans to check it out. It was WAAAY better then I first thought, and definitely grew on me. *has added to ever growing favorites-list*

Alright, so... I'll definitely go collapse in bed now. Work tomorrow to, but only three hours in the afternoon. AKA, I can sleep in tomorrow. I DO NEED THAT! *staggers off*

Game of Thrones Episode Seven and more porn-plotting...

Watched Game of Thrones last night... Season One, Episode Seven... And to say Shit Haz Hit The Fan would be an understatement.

Also, I got a little hot and bothered at Khal Drogo's speech... GUH! That man, I say... that man. I have a feeling it'll end badly for him though... Dammit. Daenerys is awesome though. She can go from a cute little girl, to ice cold khaleesi in two seconds flat. SOOOO, so different from how her character worked in the beginning. AWESOME! I really enjoy when a character really develops.

Well, to be honest I do like those stuck to. Like Ned. But I wonder if it won't be the end off him this time? I'll miss King Robert though. He might have been a drunk bastard, but I liked him anyway and will miss him. :-)

Right!

I am still plotting like FUCK with [livejournal.com profile] snowstormskies. Whatever inspired this madness... this fanfic... this SERIES of fanfics, dammit... about Georg/Tom/Gustav... It just grows... and grows... My gawd. She gets ideas... I get ideas... She asks stuff... I answer... and it grows... and grows... It has angst, it has bad guys, it has humor, it has love, it has friendship, it has sex... my gawd, the sex... And geezes... It'll be epic.

We just have one problem. What the FUCK to call the thing? It really goes into depth with a Dom/sub relationship in a way... apart from all the bad guys and humour and all that... And we only have a subtitle, no title... *sigh*

So if anyone has suggestions for a title, we are all ears. We really are! Any ideas are welcome! We are going desperate, since we have finished plotting part one, and are now working our way through part two... while ideas for more parts keep piling up. :-P

Clearly, we have both gone insane. *head-desk*

Anal sex and crazy ass women...

I don't know what is up, but I feel really tired this evening... And I don't even get why! It is not like I've done that much today. I actually worked for once! Wohoo!

I was only supposed to do 2 hours, since a librarian was on a meeting. Between 2pm and 4pm. Well, when I got ready to leave, another librarian caught up with me and asked if I could stay on until 7pm. Aaaand since I got no life really, I said sure. So I worked 3 more hours. In total 5 hours. Felt good. But I guess that is what makes me tired now, I don't know... :-P

I mean, I slept until 10am! Been sleeping in almost every day these days... I usually go up the same time as [livejournal.com profile] peting73 and since he's been sleeping in lately, well... :-P Dammit.

Anyhow!

I found these vids today that I wanted to share.

Gonna start off with this one that is a gay young man talking about anal sex hygiene... And he is so awesome! :-D I wonder how many slash-writers have thought about all this...? Considering the stories I read? NOT many! *lol* He put a smile on my face, he really did since he went through all the things you need to think about so very, very well. :-) Watch it! (Especially if you are a slash-writer... *grin*)

Anal Sex Hygiene )

And then after that, a less fun little thingy...

I don't know anything about the show 19 kids and counting, but apparently there is a mother in said show. Called Michelle Dugger. And her view on overpopulation is a bit... interesting, to say the least. Why do I get a feeling she is at a church similar to Sarah Palins church? Where they believe education is over-rated? No, seriously... This woman believes overpopulation is a lie, and that all of the WORLDS population can fit in the city Jacksonville... o.O I am not joking. Watch this.

I found the vid HERE, btw.

Well, over-population is a lie...  )

She is seriously scaring me... o.O So much... idiotic things coming out of that mouth...

I am impressed by the interviewer that actually manages to keep her cool while that woman spews her idiotic talk...

Right. I am seriously considering crawling into bed... :-P

Renovating room! And all these stories and vids, man!

Good news today! We've actually managed to finish of the room this weekend! [livejournal.com profile] peting73 has done SUCH a great job this weekend, it is... mind blowing. I am so proud of him. :-) The room looks amazing. Now I just have to clean it up from all the shit in there and such... plus put in the furniture and stuff... :-P

The roof is painted, the floor is redone and we've put up new wallpaper. Total makeover, I'd say. A needed one to. As this progresses the livingroom looks the worst! *lol*

I've been somewhat missing online, clearly, because while [livejournal.com profile] peting73 worked on redoing the room, I've been cooking food (for next week to!), shopping, running errands and being an extra hand when needed. So we've kept busy both of us.

I even managed to miss my posting day yesterday at [livejournal.com profile] gs_daily! o.O And I try to never do that! (I use Wunderlist who reminds me every other day to make a post.)

Right, so... Have some vids and links that I've collected lately. :-) I hope you enjoy!

First off I want to pimp out one HELL of a fic. No wait, this is no fic. This is an original story written by [livejournal.com profile] stoney321. Now, she has been a mormon but is not any longer. No, instead she writes a book about the faith. And then.... apparently... original fics about how it would be to be young and discover you are GAY in such a harsh religion... It is an AMAZING story and I can not recommend it enough.
And it came to pass by [livejournal.com profile] stoney321

Go. Read it. What are you waiting for?

And now for some vids from YouTube that I felt I wanted to share with you all. :-)

I stumbled upon this one the other day, and it put a smile to my face... Because it reminds me so much of the time when me and [livejournal.com profile] chigrima wrote our masters thesis together... and went to parties on the student union pub in the evenings... We even had a little routine (of sorts) that we did sometimes singing this song! :-D And all because we both followed Neil Gaiman's blog at the time and he wrote that he loved it! Ah, memories..
Sinister ducks... )

This kid Riley who has probably made her rounds on Tumblr and Twitter by now, but damn if I don't find her awesome as she rants about the fact that girl stuff is pink and boy stuff is different coloured stuff...
Pink girl stuff! )

Not sure, but I think it was [livejournal.com profile] steinsgrrl who posted this in her LJ, and man... it is SO cute! :-D Babies are so, so cute sometimes, aren't they? *grin*
Baby dancing to Beyonce... )

And on the subject of babies... Now, you KNOW I have a love for cats, right? I adore cats. They are the best animal and pet in the world, according to me. So let's combine the two! Can't get more cute then that, right? :-D And this little vid pretty much melted my heart...
Baby and cat love each other... )

Not to mention, there is a part two... where the kid and the cat grows older together... I am MELTING watching this! Pretty much how we grew up with cats! THIS is how you are supposed to grow up with your pet, just saying... I LOVE CATS!
Baby and cat love each other, Part two... )

Some other awesome things I've seen that has nothing to do with babies and cats, but are awesome none the less are these vids...

Kevin Smith are just so awesome... talking for gay equlity. No wonder, since his brother is gay. :-) And he puts it in his usual straight up, no apologize, way. :-) I respect that and I find it awesome.
Kevin Smith for gay rights... )

And this the amazing Ugglefot shared... There are actually those in the UN who are FOR gay rights and equilty. Who knew? Here is speech by U.N. Secretary General Ban Ki-moon that made me smile.
The time has come... )

Alright, so... Not gonna spam any more on you today. :-) My bed is calling. We had daylight savings time this weekend, and it has fucked some of my sleeping patterns... I hope I'll get my mind in order again during the week.

Laters!

Discussing comics vs books... and feeling crappy...

Feeling somewhat shitty today. :-/ Ugh. :-P I don't know what my body is on... But my belly hurts a bit and my legs... o.O Weird. And I am tired as fuck. I'll most likely go to bed ridiculously early (for me).

Work today went quite well, actually. Gladly I worked my first hours in the storage with the kids books there, but after that I had to sit in the information desk for four hours. Guh... Not fun when you don't feel to great. Good thing they have comfortable chairs there and it wasn't that many visitors to the library today. One of the guys working there and me talked World of Warcraft while being in the information desk, since there were no visitors that wanted help anyway for a while. Now I think I'll stalk him on WoW.... ;-) He is a family man and a little older then me, but really fun and nice. He thinks it is cool that I am such a nerd.

We also talked about comics and graphic novels and how to incorporate them in the library better. And how to deal with them. An ever on going struggle. Ever since the 1970's / 1980's when there was a HUGE debate about video violence and gaming violence (in Sweden), comics have been looked upon as something bad that should be avoided by the older generation librarians. I'd love to change that, somehow. There are some REALLY good comics being released with regularity today. OK, so not as much in Sweden as in the USA and Japan, but still! Quite a lot! Good quality comics and graphic novels should just as obviously be a part of a library as books and DVD's (as is the case today). It was an interesting talk I had with him, and he thought it was awesome that I wanted to work with teen and young adult books, since not many librarians like to work with that genre. Well, well. :-D

And since we were talking nerdiness, I mentioned the book I'd found that takes a scientific look at fanfiction and all it can mean to writers and readers of the same. It also gives tips and ideas how you can work with fanfiction in schools and in libraries. He was really interested in this! And had never heard about fanfiction, but thought it was really cool and could probably be something to work with in the future.

Guys. After that 15-30 min discussion I was in seventh heaven. Here is one of the librarians that many listen to in the big city library, and he thought my thoughts and ideas were cool and not at all silly. My gosh... o.O He might end up a lower boss to, so... Good thing, good thing... Not to mention he is just a really cool and fun guy. :-D

So despite feeling kinda shitty body-wise, my day ended up pretty nice.

I even went to the city indoor swimming pool / public pool (what is the word to use, anyway?) and swam quite a few laps. [livejournal.com profile] peting73 inspired me the other day, but after feeling the way I did today, maybe it wasn't the smartest thing I could have done. :-P I was soooo knocked out, my legs were shaking when I left the place to go home. No, not smart at all. Probably one of the reasons I need to go to bed crazy early tonight. Not gonna do that again tomorrow, let me tell you. :-P

I am behind as fuck on my f-list, and I want to apologize for that. I am working on getting caught up on you all... I'm just crazy busy these days. :-P Might slow down in the future. We'll see.
