Pregnancy, Olympics and fanfic!

Clearly I am still home and not at the maternity ward. :-P *sigh* At least I can say Nerd Jr is still moving around in there, so I take that as a good sign that the little one is doing good still. :-) I just wish she/he could decide to join us out here instead. :-P

Yesterday we took it real easy here, not doing much at all. Well, we went shopping for food a bit. And for diapers and such for Nerd Jr. Was the last thing needed really. But after that, we didn't do much. I have this nap-craving every day, and yesterday I was SO TIRED all day! Damn annoying, but what can you do? So I took a long nap in the middle of the day.

Today though we visited my MIL, peting73s mom. :-) She had found a nice recipe for a meat stew with wine and lots of spices and such in it. And she wanted us to come over and try it out, so we did. :-) And OMG! It was DELICIOUS, I tell you! SO GOOD! All the alcohol in the wine had all evaporated, so it was just the lovely taste of the wine left. YUM, YUM, I tell you! :-D

Then we stayed there for about four or five hours. She'd found some old baby-clothes from when SHE and her sister were kids! Like in the mid to late 1950's. Old, but very nice clothing! She'd picked out the stuff that was still really good, like a couple of white cotton shirts with lace on them. SO cute! And some sheets for the cradle and the crib bed. :-) With lace and embroideries on them. :-) Gorgeous stuff!

Nerd Jr is going to be my MIL's one and only grandchild, since peting73 is an only child himself. And he is 38 years old already, so I think she'd given up hope on him. :-) Making Nerd Jr a true gift for her. My mom had probably given up hope on me to, but my brother has two GORGEOUS kids, so she is already a grandma to them. I am so very very happy not only for US! Nerd Jr is a true gift for us to after all we've gone through to make sure she/he can join us... but a true gift for peting73s mom as well. :-) She'll be one AWESOME grandma, I am sure!

Right, so enough talk about Nerd Jr! :-D Some Olympics perhaps? Haven't written much about that. :-)

Anyone watching the Olympics? I don't watch it THAT actively. I mean, sure. The TV is on and it runs there, but... Yeah. I don't watch it that much. i check the website and check how many medals each country has managed to collect, but that is pretty much it. For the record, China and the US seems to be bloody unbeatable... o.O DAMN that is a lot of gold medals the athletes of those two countries have collected! I am glad Great Britain have collected quite the bunch to, considering they are hosting the games. :-)

There was quite the thrill for a Swedish athlete yesterday though! We have better athletes for the winter games, not so surprisingly... But yesterday during the Women's Triathlon... there was quite the thrill! o.O We had the TV running while doing other stuff, and all of a sudden peting73 got all excited in front of the TV! And the finish was QUITE exciting to watch! :-D They were running pretty much side to side the Swedish girl and the Swiss girl, so the judges and such had to consult photos and computers to decide who the winner was! It was SOOOO CLOSE! In the end though, the Swedish girl got the silver. :-)

And then today? Today the Swedish athletes got their first gold! :-D In sailing! Men's Star Sailing, no less! :-D I guess it is the old viking blood that runs true... *lol* ;-)

We'll get back to you during the Winter Olympics... I bet our athletes then will take more medals. ;-)

I HIGHLY suggest you check out the fanfic me and snowstormskies have worked for... well, ages it feels like. :-P We have just started posting it! :-D Three chapters so far. It is a HUGE fanfic, so... I hope some more would be curious and want to check it out. :-) We nick-named the fanfic The Hydra, because it pretty much work like the legendary creature... the more you try to cut it down...? The more heads it grows. *lol* The final name though ended up being Let us hear you, let us feel you... and it's a threesome BDSM story. :-)

How cool that your hubby's mom found some old baby clothes for Nerd Jr.! That's so special! I'm sure she's over the moon at the thought of finally being a grandmother. I used to hear that all the time from my mom because I'm an only child, too. ;)

I do feel pretty good and strong, just tired all the time. :-P So I do take frequent naps. But I am guess it is because my body tries to save it's energy. :-) I just listen to what my body wants and does what it tells me. :-)

And the clothing is just... to cute. Especially the little cotton shirts with the lace on them. Oh, I'll be using those for sure!

Nerd Jr will arrive whenever the time is appropriate. Most kids are slackers by nature, didn't you know? If they get the chance to sleep they take it even if they'll whine about having to go to bed when they grow older. ;)

As for the Olympics - our girls lost against France but damn, the football girls are friggin' AWESOME! They kick ass! =D

..... and yes, I do exist. Occasionally. ^^;;

Oh, I know kids do take their time. And that it is very common for a first mom to take a bit longer then planned... But dammit! Enough is enough! I am so clumsy right now it is not even funny. :-P Not to mention quite big. :-/ I just wish she/he would join us already!

I don't watch the Olympics really... Just keeping track of the medals. :-) Sports... How I do NOT enjoy watching it! X-D *lol*

Congratulations to the US to! I mean, hello! It's the US and China that are freaking unbeatable when checking the medal-count... Insane!

Not in the maternity ward yet (clearly), but right now I wish I was. Because I am tired of being pregnant at this point. I just want Nerd Jr to be here with us. :-P Where she/he is supposed to be.

Oh, I'll be posting here and there about the little one, you can count on that... Might just take a while, since I have to get used to being a mom first before I go back to the net and LJ again. :-)

Borås is a nice city, if a bit dull now and then. :-) We have a good museum showing how people in Sweden lived way way back during the 1700's and 1800's... and Torpa Stonehouse the medieval house/castle/fort/farm. :-) And, of course... Borås Zoo! But that is about it. :-) So it ain't like all them other huge cities I know you've visited. :-) It's perfect to live in though! :-D And very family-friendly, I'd say. ;-) Especially this area where we live, so it's perfect really!

Oh! That's so exciting that Peting's mom will get to be a grandma. My dad told me he didn't think he would ever be a grandfather [which is weird because I was 23 when V was born, 22 when I got pregnant.. Seriously?! Lol.] and my mom, after a while, really likes being a grandma. It took some getting used to on her part. >.< I think Nerd Jr. is very lucky to have all of you in his/her life. :D

I don't really watch the olympics anymore, used to when I was a child.. but doesn't really interest me much. The swimmer, Phelps, he is a self-proclaimed pot head so now everyone in the states is like "I can smoke pot and become an olympic gold medalist! In your face!" to everyone who doesn't agree with pot. [I bring this up because I know you & I share the same beliefs on it]. It's just frustrating. One in a million [or more] isn't that good of an odd, just saying! Lol. Congrats to the Swedish sailing! Vikings for the win! Lol.

Oh! I shall read the fan-fic as well! I've been wanting to! :)

That IS odd! I mean, becoming a mom at 23 is pretty young, I'd say! Me and peting73 are pretty old to become first time parents, I know.... I mean, 35 and 39? That is pretty old, right? So I have FULL understanding that our moms pretty much gave up on us. Only sad thing is that none of our fathers are around. Mine is dead many years back... and peting73, his dad just packed up, left and disappeared never to be heard from again. So no grandfathers for Nerd Jr. :-/ That is a bit sad. On the other hand both grandmas are just slightly insane and loves to spoil the little before she/he is even BORN! So I guess it all evens out. :-)

With peting73s lil but tough extended family and mine HUGE and slightly insane extended family, well... Nerd Jr has one HELL of a support system behind her/him. :-)

With the Olympics I just follow the medal-count. :-) It is quite exciting in itself! :-D And the official website has a pretty good list for it (http://www.london2012.com/medals/medal-count/), so... I check it a few times a day. :-) There's a lot of competing going on every day, after all. ;-)

If you read the fanfic, go to hydrafics if so! The others need a membership if you want to be able to read it. But hydrafics is an unlocked comm, so everyone can read it there! It just warns you that it is adult material there. ;-) And well... It IS NC17, so... ;-) And if you wanna know more about the boys in the fic... (It is a Real People Slash fic), just do a search for Tokio Hotel. ;-)
