This weekend turned out to be absolutely EXCELLENT! :-) Even though I'll admit that I was a bit worried about doing such a long drive with lil Alexandra. Turned out, I didn't need to be worried. :-) I knew she liked going in the car, but I didn't think she'd be so calm for two hours. She slept almost the entire way! :-D And when she didn't sleep, she just looked around for a moment, and then continued sleeping. Really good to know!

I didn't forget packing anything off her stuff. Even brought a bit to much, to be honest! *lol* I did forget my own stuff though, like shower-stuff... Good thing we stayed at moms! She always lets me use hers if I need to. :-D

I'd made a plan with my relatives that they could come visit on Saturday evening and say hello to Alexandra. My brother though couldn't be there on Saturday but his family came over on Friday evening instead. :-) He IS working on a farm and it is harvest-times, so... He works from sunup to sundown almost every single day, weekends to... I can fully understand if he wants to sleep when coming home! But his kids, Tilda and Theo, were so excited to meet their new cousin, he gave in and they came over all four of them and we had a WONDERFUL evening with mom. :-) Now a triple grandma! :-D

My brothers kids were SO CUTE with Alexandra it was crazy! They didn't leave her side the entire time we were there, and when they found out we would spend the night, they wanted to stay to! X-D They were especially excited that she was a girl, since all their cousins on their mothers side are boys. :-)

One fun thing happened though... I say, from the mouths of kids... Both Tilda and Theo even came with me to over-look when I changed Alexandras diapers... and at one point I had to struggle not to crack up. X-D They are so cute. Went a bit like this:

I walk upstairs, start changing Alexandras diaper, cleaning her up and stuff... I had put her on a bed, so it was low so Tilda and Theo could be close to Alexandra and see what I was doing. At one point Tilda says that it is clear Alexandra is a girl because she has a slit and girls have a slit and boys have a willie. To this I said that yes, this is true. Tilda (5 years old), happy about the fact she got it right, agreed and said yeah.... Because Theo has a willie and he is a boy! Theo (3 years old) just nodding agreeing because you know... big sister is always right, right?

Oh, they were so cute them two siblings! X-D After that we went down stairs all three of us and continued hanging out. I told my brother and his wife about what their kids had said and they just laughed, saying yeah... what else to expect from my brothers kids? They got it right, of course! But the way she said it, right out of the blue, was just to cute! :-)

On Saturday more relatives came over, like one of my uncles and my aunt, both with their families. :-) Was SO awesome to meet them and they all cooed over how cute Alexandra was! And she got SO MANY GIFTS! Geezes... Lots and lots of clothing! Got winter-stuff for her to, so now that is solved! Bring it on, King Bore!

So that was awesome really all around. :-) Trip home went just as well. I posted an update to [livejournal.com profile] mini_viking with photos from the trip if you wanna see. :-) [livejournal.com profile] peting73 has also posted more photos of Alexandra!

Yesterday and today we've started to clean out the apartment. [livejournal.com profile] peting73 will start work next week, so it would be nice to get a big housecleaning done. I've taken care of Alexandras room and the living room so far. Tomorrow I'll tackle the kitchen. It'll be a pure relief to have a clean home soon again... *sigh*

I sure hope everyone had a great weekend and a good start to this week. I sure did. Got to read the ending of the fanfic [livejournal.com profile] iamkaa wrote for me. I HIGHLY recommend it to anyone! Well... If you got a stomach for it. It is a horror-story, and she is GOOD at writing SERIOUSLY creepy stuff... I wrote a prompt based on THIS artwork . She just ran with it and some! Talk about delivering! :-D

Aw, so glad you had a wonderful time! <3 And it's great that Alexandra is such a good traveler -- of course, now your family will just use that as an excuse for you to come there more often! :P Your niece and nephew sound adorable, too!

Yeah, that is a risk. I mean, I love my HUGE extended family and I know they always have my back no matter what. But they are... somewhat lazy when it comes to traveling. :-P

And my niece and nephew made me (and their father) laugh out loud! X-D They are the cutest, seriously! And will most likely make sure Alexandra get into a WORLD of trouble when she grows up!

It cracks me up when little kids explain stuff like genitals. One of my neighbors, when she was five, said that girls have "W's" and boys "bingies". Easy enough to see where she came up with W but bingie was hilarious.

Nutcases and children = they'll tell you the REAL truth. ;-)

Now I gotta wonder though what that kid meant by "W's" and "bingies"? Explain to the clueless swede that just don't get it? :-)

LOL! M. described a girl's external genitalia as being shaped like a W so that's how she came up with that. "Bingie" was the boys' equivalent.

omg a slit and a willie. i'm glad they're learning to use terminology early and not being ashamed of it at least!

The swedish words look very much alike slit = snippa and willie = snopp. Simple words that all kids use really. :-) In early school to, I know. I've seen the books in the school-library. ;-)

And considering they are kids from my BROTHERS loins, I would be surprised if they'd be ashamed easily... X-D
