This is KSena

Usually a friendly sort. Be nice to me, and I am nice to you. Here I ramble on about me, life, work and fandoms. I am a fan of Robin of Sherwood, Xena: Warrior Princess, Buffy: the Vampire Slayer, Pirates of the Caribbean, Tokio Hotel and Sons of Anarchy. I don't apologize for anything I write here. This is my mind. And you entered it. Welcome.

This is going to be a weird ass post, since it'll deal with both sides of me. Life as is, and also fandom and such...

ANYHOW!

It's been another week with activities for me and Alexandra. Had that parenting group meeting on Wedneysday, two days ago. Bitch mom, if you remember her.... was not there. HALLELUJAH! So it was much nicer. I even hung out a bit afterwards and talked to two other moms. Which was nice. One of the moms in that group, however... is either extremely shy or suffers from some serious blues... :-/ She hardly answers when you talk to her! Every meeting we've been to, I've tried to engage her in conversation, since she is not one of Bitch moms yes-sayers. No luck. Wonder why? Am I that scary? And I really am trying to be very nice and soft with her when I do try... Uhu...

Since we were at the lil library close by this time, it was quite fun since I've worked a lot there, so it was a very familiar place for me. :-) The librarians were very happy to meet me and Alexandra to! Books for babies were discussed and I borrowed some with me home, so now we read at least one book each day me and Alexandra. Very simple books. Made out of cardboard the entire book, so it won't break when Alexandra fiddles with it, and just sentences with two-four words in them. EXTREMELY simple. But very important. See, reading a lot to your lil baby helps him/her develop his/her language better. :-) Not to mention you'll get a kid that loves books. Win-win. :-) We'll be reading a lot to Alexandra, that's for sure.

This week we've also been to a sing-along at the big city library with a lot of kids up to 1 year old... and we've been to Open Preschool as well, also with kids only up to 1 year old. Alexandra loves this! So much to look at! And listen to! I think it is good for her development this. I'll definitely keep it up. :-) Not to mention it is fun for me to, meeting other moms (and dads). Open Preschool is really really awesome, just gotta say. So thankful that exists. :-D

[livejournal.com profile] peting73 is doing better to. He's been home this week to let his back heal from that lumbago... Nasty business... But he is taking his meds and is very careful when he lifts anything... while also taking short walks to move his back and everything, and he says he is doing a lot better. He put Alexandra in the baby sitter today, and the last time he did that his back fucked it self up... now it worked out fine. :-) So he is definitely on the mend. He'll go back to work next week, he says, since apparently he feels like that would be good for him even if he'll take it easy there to. He is going a bit insane being home all the time. *lol*

Oh, talking off family, I also updated Alexandras LJ with a TON of photos the other day! :-D Go to [livejournal.com profile] mini_viking to see! :-D

Onwards to fandom things!

Well, fanfic things at any rate. [livejournal.com profile] snowstormskies posted this, and so I just HAVE to do that to... since I am involved in writing fanfic with her! (In the Tokio Hotel fandom.) Both Let Us Hear You, Let Us Feel You and Chained II. :-)

So now... Kinks. Some warning. I have a thing for darkfics, so... Keep that in mind. :-) ONWARDS!

Kinks

1. List five bullet proof kinks that make you go weak at the knees. Real life, fic, or just in your own mind, what makes your brain light up like Las Vegas?

2. List five major turnoffs. What makes you reach for the vomit bucket? What just makes you go, "And... yeah... no, that's just not working for me..." Again, fic or RL, or your own little fantasies, what makes you want to take your ball and go home?

Good stuff first... (and I went to check some of my favorite fics, their warnings for this... *lol*)

1. Knife-play, blood-play, torture... Shut up. I know. It's sick as fuck, but in fics and/or books... I love to read it. The worse, the better...

2. Dom/slave stuff... BDSM, bondage, spanking etc... Dude. One of my MAYOR kinks. Not even joking. My gawd. Fics and/or books... I can read anything and everything with it. (Also, Fifty Shads of Grey aka Fifty Shades of Shit, don't know SHIT about it! It's full of shit and lies what the hell, I get so pissed off reading said book...) Also, this goes for RL as well.

3. A bit triggery, but... Abuse, non-con/rape... etc... Yes. I am sicko with what I like to read. What can I say?

4. Threesomes and/or moresomes... Guh... Uhu... Yeah. The more the merrier. I love it. No matter what fandom I read fanfic in... or if it is in a book.

5. Underage stuff and age-difference. AND JUST TO POINT OUT!!! This is ONLY in fiction!!! Books and/or fanfic. Right? Alright... You with me? OK. I like to read it. In books and in fanfic. I've already pointed out I like twisted/sick/weird stuff. So there.

Bad stuff... The just NO-list... (And here it gets a bit trickier, considering what I actually LIKE! X-D)

1. Mary Sue's / Gary Stue's... JUST NO!!! GAH! HATE, HATE, HATE! And don't think they only exist in fanfic! They invade books to! (Twilight and Fifty Shades of Grey are PRIME examples!)

2. MPreg... I just... I can't. You can go all down sick and twisted on me, but... I just can't with Mpreg.

3. Twincest where it is all lovey-dovey / fluffy romantic and everyone is honkey dorey with the whole thing. Just no. HELL no. I don't like twincest / brocest / siscest as a rule, I do read it... seldom... but when it goes all fluffy romantic on me, I run for the hills.

4. I have a hard time reading fanfic / books in first person... I have hard time grasping that, so I usually avoid it. It destroys any enjoyment of any kinks for me.

5. Badly written sex-scenes... Oh yeah. You all know what I mean, don't you? Hell, badly written anything... to much thesaurus complex, or just not sure about the language you write in. To many descriptions or to few... A tough balance there, but it's no good to much of either. Oh, and keep your characters IN CHARACTER, please! Anything Out Of Character with any character, and I'll stop reading your fanfic, or throw away the book... It destroys any sex you write, so even if you write the darkest sex-scene ever, I wouldn't be able to enjoy it.

So... How many followers did I just lose considering what I enjoy reading? *lol*

We read (and read, which, written out, it's sort of hard to tell which is past tense and which is present) to Mally ALL THE TIME while she was growing up, and still do to this day. She reads allllllmost enough for my liking, sort of, but her language skills are terrible. :-\ There are so many times where I have to have her stop and think over what she wants to say and then try again to get all the words out.

God, baby photos. *pines* I want another.

1, 3, 4, 5: wrote it. :)

2, PROBABLY 5, also wrote it. >_>

How old is she? *curious* :-D

I am definitly going to keep this up. :-) She seems to enjoy her lil books, even though fiddle around with them is the most fun... *lol* You gotta start somewhere, right? ;-)

There'll be more baby-photos. ;-) I'll be better at updating her LJ.

I've tried to read MPreg sooooo many times... But it just don't work for me. :-P Annoying but true.

Seeing me list it up like this... Dude. I am one sick puppy. X-D

She's 10 now. :) We've read her basically EVERYTHING. Princess Bride, How the Grinch Stole Christmas, Peter Pan, A Little Princess, The Hobbit, Alice in Wonderland, etc etc etc. Right now we're reading Little Women and Werewolves. :)

I kinda love baby photos, especially 10-15 years after the fact when you can look at them and the person in them looks EXACTLY the same, only, you know, younger.

I'm okay with mpreg as long as it's written well and there's some sort of reason given that makes sense. And, honestly, I'm way more keen to accept 'IT WAS MAGIC' to badly thought out science that doesn't actually work logically.

I much prefer your kink list to, say, bad ofc fic and hurt/comfort where all the comfort is boning because that will totally make the horrible beatings go away. Gross.

:-D I am glad to see my kink-list gets approved! And I didn't scare you away right away...

Hubby, [livejournal.com profile] peting73 plans to read The Hobbit for Alexandra to! Really early as well, apparently! *lol* I've pretty much planned the same books you are talking about there. I loved the Oz-books myself, not to mention the Mary Poppins books. Those series are awesome (and slightly weird...).

Hard to frighten someone off with a kink list where the person's already written most of the subjects. ;)

Once your little gets to tooth losing age, look for 'What-the-Dickens' by Gregory McGuire. It's PRECIOUS and about a little tooth fairy. :)

*laughs* Good point there. ;-)

The tooth-fairy tradition don't exist in Sweden, so there is really no need for that book. Also, I suspect it ain't translated. I might be good at english, but not my daughter. ;-) I would have to translate it on the fly! *lol*

I guess there's always the Inkworld series when she's more 8-10-ish. :D

I share gajastar's experience, I read a lot, to my children and it started out real good, both started to read early, loved books (always books for christmas and b-day, it's a law!) and read a lot. But Anna somehow stoped, and her language skills are rather poor, enough for it to trouble her now, at age 17. It's very sad, but the book that made her start reading again was Twiligt *feels almost embarrassed*, but she reads much more now and often ask for a book instead if I ask here if she want a magazine then I go to the store, so I hope it will get better. Saga? She read books for adults at age seven, she still does, and has a very advanced language. So stange it could end up so differently in the same family.

Good to hear the parenting group was so much better without that mum, I hope the other stay nicer from now on, and good to here he is doing better now. It hurts just to think of.

Hm, I have written all five on your yes list, and at least two on your no list (all my early stuff was in first person, it is a more adult way of writing, but way harder than thried person.)

You can never give to many books to kids! It's the truth! *lol*

I had a dip in my reading to at that age... and then it picked up again. So I don't think you should be to worried about Anna there. (Even though Twilight ARGH! As long as she don't start dating guys like Edward, you're safe...) And Saga has always been mature for her age, right? Hell, I read The Clan of the Cave Bear and The Valley of Horses by Jean M Auel at age 14... X-D Mostly for the porny bits... *started early*

And I figured you'd agree with my good-stuff-list.... ;-) Since you pretty much tickle all my twisted kinks... *lol* Hell, you even got me to read MPreg and I really really can't stand that usually...

No, you sure can't get to many (looks at my books, need places to put them thouhg) but I'm kind of worried about her vocabular, and so is she but I guess it is getting better as she start to ralize it is a problem, never thought she would have that problem then she read so much as a child, so I'm a bit surprised by it.
And yes, Saga has always been mature for her age, she has already read the first of those, but skiped the porny parts at she thought it was gross LoL (hm, can that really be MY daughter?!?)

Jepp, I do, and well, who knows, maybe I can get you to like a story in first person too some day?;-)

I clean out my bookshelves when the books start to fall out when I walk by... X-D

Well, I guess reading and practicing is all she can do... If it gets worse not better, then it might be an idea to take up the issue at school? My cousin had that problem to, but he had a teeny tiny brain damage at birth that hit his speech and vocabulary.

And you just wait for Saga... She'll go back to those books for the porny bits... ;-) Trust me. *lol*

Maybe... I don't know. I had a hard time to wrap my head around first person stories before, and it got even WORSE after reading Twilight and Fifty Shades of Grey, since those two CRAPPY books are written in first person...

I do from time to time, but I love my books! I give some to my mum but get twice as many back, she got about 8 000 books by now (after giving tons and tons away!) I think I got about 2000 if we count the childrens books and text books for school. And I love them :(

The think is that she already been though testing in school this summer because of her problem, so it really is an issue. but yeah, that is all she can do.

Nah, she is more for hard core manga, and those are... well, you know...

Hm, now I really do need to translate something really nice and good for you to read so that won't be your lasting impression of first person!

o.O Geezes, I thought I had many books but I sure don't have that many books! That's a whole library! How the hell can you fit them all in an apartment?!?!

I do wish the best for Saga... I hope it'll work out for her. And manga is... interesting. *lol* As long as she hasn't found hentai yet... ;-)

LoL she never will, and as my sister and I are huge book neerds too, they will probably run in the family....

And well, now days she is. I know, she is just 14, and some find me allowing that wrong. But if she had been a 14 year old boy who hid porno magz under his bed, no one would find that strange. I just ignore them and pretends I don't know about it and lets her have that to her self.

I agree. :-) Nothing wrong at all. As long as one keeps them away from the heavier stuff as much as possible. Hell, I found my fathers pornstash when I was that age (around 13, I think..).... And read it with my brother who is four years younger... Not toally OK, I suppose. But we were curious and well... We read one each every time. Was them old porno mags from the 70's. :-)

Yay for bitch mom not being there!! *dances* I bet it was nice to not have to worry about all that crap. Maybe that one quiet mom has PPD? I don't know? I didn't want to do anything when I had it though, and she may just be shy. That's good of you to talk with her though. :D

I read to Verlina every night, she has a story book of princess stories [which we have repeated each story 50 billion times. O_O But luckily, my mom got her two new ones - one for her bday and one for xmas, so I"ll get a break! Lol.] I love reading, I love to read for fun and I think it is SO important for children to read for fun, it helps them out so much in the future!

I'm glad you are able to go and do things with Alexandra! That sounds so lovely! And it's great that you enjoy it as well!! :D I regret not doing anything like that with V and now I just don't have time or I just don't have her.. Sucks. :\ However, school holiday coming up will be like 2-3 weeks and I'll have Tues & Thurs off so I'll be spending one of those with her & I hope we can do some fun stuff together! We need it, bad!

I'm glad Peting is doing better too!

Was SUCH a relief not to have to deal with that Bitch mom, yes!

*checks what PPD means* Hmm... Might be, I don't know. Them nurses at the Child Care Center are usually quick to catch that. But you never know. Might be so.

Alexandra is having fun and develops as she should... and I am having fun to... not to mention are ABLE to... so why not, right? I get to stay home with some pay for almost a year... so I'll definitely make the most of it!

I really hope you get a change to be off from work and school and spend time with Verlina. :-) She is SUCH a wonderful kid! :-D Should be proud of her!

Peting is doing pretty good, yeah. :-) He'll go back to work on Monday, or so is his plan. He is nearly healed! :-D

No Bitch-mom makes KSena a happy woman! *lol* Only have one of them meetings left, and then I won't have to worry about her anymore!

Alexandra will most likely get a lot of books as she grows up... And a lot of visits to the library. :-) Can't help that really with me as a mom. *lol*
