I don’t even know where to start with this post. To say things have been stressful lately would be an understatement.

Stressing out about work... )

You’d think once I got home from work I could relax, right? Nope, no such thing.

Stressing the fuck out over trip to celebrate Midsummer this weekend... )

Right, so… To make a checklist:

Checklist of the weekend... )

I honestly have no idea how I’ll keep my sanity this weekend… :-/ *ready to collapse*

Haven't posted in a while, but then I saw [livejournal.com profile] steinsgrrl had posted this, which she apparently stole from Reddit. And I figured, why not? Chances are, I'll get back to posting again. Seems I needed a little break. :-)

Anyway, here goes!

1. If your first love came back to offer you everything you've ever dreamed of, what would you do?

My first love? Did I even have a first love? I honestly wouldn't know. I did have a boyfriend when I was around 20-years old. After I'd gotten back from the US. It didn't last very long, and he was a bit of an asshole. His first love was his guitar. It was more important than me. :-P He was great in bed though. Like REALLY great! So, in a sense, I am glad he took my virginity since he knew wtf he was doing and made sure it was really good for me to.

Then I had, very shortly, a girlfriend when I'd moved here. And I moved here when I was around 25. And yes. To her, I'd say yes and welcome her with open arms, had I not had the family I have today. I have not one bad word to say about her. It just didn't work out. And we are still friends to this day. I loved her, in a way, but not the way I should have.

And then... There's [livejournal.com profile] peting73. Who I've been together with for 10 years. And I have my daughter with him. Love of my life that one.

My love-life is sadly short, but... intense, maybe? *ponders*

2. Have you ever called 911? If so, why? (or 999 or whatever the emergency number is where you live)

Here in Sweden it's 112, and yes I have. Once. I was still living at home then, hanging with another crowd of friends. I'd arranged my yearly summer-masquerade party, my parents not at home, leaving us to do what we wanted with the house, as long as we cleaned it up the day after. (I was somewhere around 18-20, I think.) One girl, at one of them parties, was an anorectic. And had an anorectic/bulimic friend with her. The anorectic/bulimic girl fainted and started shaking and seeing things and blacked out now and then... One of the other guests, also a friend of the two, tried to take charge in my own home telling me not to worry and tried locking themselves in my parents bedroom. I was NOT having that! I pushed myself inside said bedroom with force of strength, told the charge-taking guest to shove it where the sun don't shine and to shut the fuck up... and then I called 112. Sick girl ended up in emergency for a while, and then got back to the treatment home she'd been on leave from. I think both them sick girls are OK today. I know one of them got a family today, two kids and a guy... So I guess it ended up well in the end.

3. What is the #1 thing you miss about being a kid?

The lack of responsibility. And the freedom. Of course, when you were a kid you didn't see it like that, but looking back... Yes. That's what I miss the most. Running around during summer... Didn't matter what yard you were in, our yard our any of our neighbors yard... All the doors where wide open, and there was always someone there to give you a drink... or a snack... or some sweets... We were four kids, me and my brother. And the neighbor siblings, also a sister and a brother. We played together all the time then. During winter we went out skiing and had mini-barbecues in the snow....

It was a good way to grow up, and I can miss that sometimes and feel guilty of not giving the same to Alexandra.

Strangely enough, that neighbor-girl? She ended up one of my worst bullies when we got a bit older in school... and the one who started it all. I still, to this day, have NO idea why.

Argh! So behind on everything! o.O

I'll just split this up in a few posts...

So. Trip first. :-)

We went and stayed with mom for about a week, which was all kinds of awesome to be honest! :-D Not that we did that much, but it was nice to just get away from everything for a while. :-) Not to mention being spoiled. And Alexandra was the one that was the most spoiled. *lol* She got gifts from mom twice during 6 days... ;-) That should be quite telling! *grins*

And then there was mom's big 60th birthday party barbecue party that she'd arranged for friends and family. :-D And it was SO MUCH FUN! I love taking a drink or have some wine and such at times, but I haven't really since Alexandra was born... and now I got my chance to! :-D So I spent that night slightly tipsy since there was so many people that brought wine, not to mention mom has quite the load standing around at home to. :-) So that evening was spent drinking, eating and just have a laugh! My mom and my uncles wife and my aunt get slightly insane when drinking wine, and this was NO exception! X-D Listening to those three, it is easy to see where I've learned it all... If I put it that way. ;-)

Loved hanging out with my brother to, since he spent all day that day at moms. :-D His kids where with their mother, and he didn't want to be alone, so he came over and helped out with mom's stuff for the party. :-) Not to mention he and [livejournal.com profile] peting73 where the designated grill-masters. X-D

So that was all kinds of awesome!

Mom worked on Monday and Tuesday, so when she left home on Monday afternoon to work during the night, we all left for the neighbouring little town/village that is AWESOME during the summer. Hjo. It is a gorgeous place with a lot of hte old buildings left in the "city"center. :-) Not to mention the BEST icecream place EVER! So we spent our afternoon there.

Also, mom has THE BEST neighbours ever! She wants to get rid of all her flowerbeds and most of her garden paths. So one of her neighbours came over and did short work of one of the garden paths... so now grass will grow there instead and there won't be a sign left of it. :-) And then her garage is old and the walls aren't very good, so he has also promised her to fix the walls on it for her. So he started doing that on Tuesday... and worked really quickly to! Of course, he'll get some pay for it, but really. If mom didn't have all them AWESOME neighbours, she wouldn't be able to stay in her beloved house that dad fixed up for her (and us).

On Tuesday we left to go home, but made a stop to visit Mariell, my BELOVED cousin who is globetrotting all over the world! :-D She has now moved from Doha, Qatar to Muscat, Oman. Still working for the same spa-company, Essence Spa, just in another country. :-) Anyway, she had to come back to Sweden suddnely since her passport and visa ran out! OUPS! X-D So she'd just gotten home the day before when we visited her. :-) It was AWESOME to be able to give her a hug and just hang out like we used to do! And, of course, she was THRILLED to meet Alexandra properly to!

It was a great trip, filled of love and family and friends. :-D And not to mention relaxing. :-) Much needed. Alexandra behaved GREAT! And loved crawling around on moms big garden! Not to mention hunting mom's four cats... X-D

I did survive Midsummer, if anyone was wondering... ;-)

It was a close call though, I will admit. We kept to the schedule I posted before Midsummer, and it worked out fine. :-) And Alexandra behaved GREAT the whole time!

During the Midsummer-party day before Midsummer-Eve at my aunts, she even stayed up later than usual. And she got to meet a ton of my relatives that hadn't meet her before. So that was awesome! :-D She will be as crazy as the rest of this huge extended family before she turns 10, I swear...

Had a lovely chatt with one of my relatives while there... a younger one. And randomly she asked HOW we were related. Well, I said, your grandma and my mom are cousins... which makes me and your mom second cousins... And you and me, she asks. Well, I say, you're my second cousins kid.

Yes, I did mention my huge extended family was huge and crazy, right?

Anyway, much yummy Midsummer-food was eaten, much hugs were shared, and much talking was done. :-)

And then we went onwards to our next stop, Lindesberg. We were to stay at one of the hotels at the city centre there. An older hotel, historiclly speaking. And it was very nice! Big room, even if it hadn't been renovated in a while, it was still nice. And the breakfast in the morning was YUM!

We had one of those traveling cribs with us, and it worked like a charm. Alexandra slept great in it. :-)

Next day we traveled the last four hours to [livejournal.com profile] peting73s best friend, Kiltfan.

And that's when I got a bit pissed... Because when we were ALMOST there, after traveling for two days, around 4-5 hours each day... They call and let us know they are not at home, but at another place to dance around the Midsummer-pole.

WTF?!?!

Yes. That pissed me off somewhat. But as luck would have it, they made it back just before we got there, so all was well in the end. Still, not a cool thing to do.

More Midsummer-food was eaten. Our old Student-overals were put on. Alexandra charmed everyone and behaved wonderfully. :-D And apparently slept really well, because she didn't wake up until 8:30am the next morning, shocking me quite a great deal! I'd gone to bed at midnight/one am or so. Early for a Midsummer-party, but I was in charge of Alexnadra so there we go. :-) Now... [livejournal.com profile] peting73 and Kiltfan on the other hand... X-D They'd been up to 4am drinking beer! *LOL*

Let's just say it was a good thing we didn't start our travel until in the afternoon. ;-) (There were a few stops on the way while I was driving... for [livejournal.com profile] peting73 to... look at the nature... bent over... *cough*)

Unfortunately though that had me hanging out with Kiltfan's wife. She apparently likes me, but... I have... a hard time hanging out with her. She is BEYOND over protective off her kids. Seriously. They are not allowed to go anywhere alone. They live on the countryside. There's nothing dangerous around, trust me. But the kids are not allowed to be on the yard, outside the house alone. They're not even allowed to walk in the stairs (a big, simple stair) alone from topfloor to bottomfloor. Kids are 5 and 3 years old. To me, that is NUTS! I've grown up like that to. Mom kept the door open and let us run however we wanted. Up and down the stairs (not quite such a safe stairs as theirs) and in and out and in the yard and just... all over the place. If you live like that, in a safe community way out on the countryside... I think that is how it's supposed to be.

But yeah. When she was living here? In the city Borås? Who is a pretty calm city, compared to the biggest cities in Sweden (Stockholm, Göteborg, Malmö). She didn't dare go outside the door, unless Kiltfan or someone he trusted walked with her...

I wonder what their kids will be like when they grow up... *shakes head* Teen-years sure will be interesting.

Anyway.

So we left and started the journey back. Alexandra was a bit more bored in the car this time, so even though she slept much of the journey as she'd done on the way there, we had to do some more stops this time.

It went well though, and we found the hotel in Örebro fine. :-) This one was a bit newer a hotel, with rooms that were clearly newly renovated. BUT! The room was WAY smaller, so we barely managed to set up Alexandras travel bed. Once it was in place though, it worekd fine and we went to bed REALLY early and slept wonderfully...

... until Alexandra decided to wake up at 5:30am. X-D Silly girl. Good thing that hotel served breakfast from 6am onwards. *lol*

We didn't stress at all, and took it easy during the morning, but it still made sure we got home quite early despite making several stops during the way. We even traveled through the city where my aunt and cousins live... so we took a break and feed Alexandra at my cousins place! :-D

So the whole journey worked great! Better then expected really. :-)

Now we can relax some... until mid-July when a shitload of birthday-parties and summer-parties and I don't even know what is going down among my relatives again... X-D

This day and this weekend, I tell ya'.... Ugh...

It all started on Friday, really. During Thursday me and Alexandra had been out walking in the pouring rain, and apparently that was not a good idea for me... Alexandra was fine! No worries there. But to me it was not so fine...

Because I got a cold. And not just any cold. But the cold from Hell...

I haven't been that knocked out from a cold before, I am not even joking. [livejournal.com profile] peting73 was a doll all weekend and took full responsibility for Alexandra so I could relax and try to heal up.

And I got it all.Stuffed nose. Stuffed throat. Stuffed ears... Stuffed everywhere!

And then on Sunday? I couldn't breath properly. Not even joking. It was really heavy and tough to get a breath. :-/

Now a wise person would have gone to the ER right away, right? Well. I am not so very smart. I am my fathers daughter. Eh... It'll pass. But it didn't. And at 2pm I gave up, and called [livejournal.com profile] petingt73 to get the car home (he was at a park with Alexandra) so I could go to the ER.

Did so. Stressed place that. I got a special inhaler thing there and it cleared it up. Almost, but I figured hey! I can BREATH! X-D So I left and got home with a stop to the drugstore to get more of the inhaler, since I got a recipe for it. :-)

Great right? Well not. Because after I'd been home for... an hour, maybe? It got back. I had trouble breathing again! So I used the inhaler I now had at home. Only worked for a min or so. I know I took it to much, four times in just an afternoon, but... I really really didn't wanna go back to the ER. Instead I went to bed. But as soon as I put my head on the pillow, my throat pretty much closed up. o.O Or so it felt like.

Yay. Back to the ER I went! And now, since I'd sorta overdosed on the inhaler I had at home, they couldn't give me the good stuff. Instead they gave me a ton of other stuff... and nothing worked! Until 4am in the morning, when finally enough time had passed and they could give me that thing again. I COULD BREATH! OMG! Such a feeling... They kept me there a few hours more for observation, threatening to keep me for a few days (over Midsummer? OH HELL NO!). But at 10:30am in the morning... I could FINALLY go home! I had even slept some! :-)

Poor [livejournal.com profile] peting73 though. He stayed up until 4am Monday morning worried about me... Then had to get up at 5am and call his workmate to tell his mate he would not come in to work that day... and then Alexandra woke up at 6am... Ready for a new day!

To say he collapsed when I got home would be an understatement. :-P So we just lazed around all Monday pretty much. Doctors orders: Eat five of these pills each day for five days, use your inhaler four times a day for six days, drink plenty tea and water and RELAX! Oh, and those pills give you energy so take them all in the morning... And did we mention relax? *lol*

So that's what I did during Monday..

Fast forward to today, Tuesday.

Where I definitely did NOT follow the Doctors orders... o.O

Watch this:

Alexandra woke up at 6:15am, of course... Not all bad, since I had to start laundry at 7am sharp. So up we went, and got new diaper and both of us dressed. Sorted laundry (A LOT!) and found the baby carrier so I could carry all the laundry and Alexandra down stairs to the basement where our laundry room is. (Alexandra who now weighs about 9 kilos, I might add... HEAVY!) Got down stairs just in time and started two loads of laundry, carried Alexandra up stairs and got morning porridge in her... or so I thought since she was in a MOOD and threw it around, so she only got half if it in her belly. Then we went downstairs to the basement, this time carrying the diaper bag and Alexandra and changed the loads and got the clean stuff in the drier. Then we went to Open Preschool that had their last day today before summer vacations and all that + Midsummer celebration for kids all ages. So we got to our usual bus-stop. Just to find out the quick bus is canceled during summer. Crap. So another buss and off we go.

At this point, it's only 9am.

We got to the Midsummer celebration just in time! Got a message from [livejournal.com profile] peting73 saying he might get home early from work since he is not totally OK. So I texted him back telling him all the stuff I'd been doing in the morning, sorta proud!

Got back kinda Oh woe is me, I can not be sick, everything is always worse for you, sorry I might destroy our midsummer-vacation-trip-thing, since I just about puked during breakfast-break at work...

Me: *FACE-PALM!*

So I called him up and we dealt with misunderstanding.

Onwards.

Got nice strawberries and ice cream at the Midsummer-celebration at Open Preschool and then we went home!

Dealt with laundry so everything was hanging up to get dry or in the dryer.

Up to the apartment and getting more food in Alexandra. Then [livejournal.com profile] peting73 came home, went straight to bed, still in a mood and not feeling to great.

Took a seat in the couch. Alexandra asleep for two hours (!).

Down to get the laundry. A bit late, so the next person is already there, but she was fine with me being late. Lovely woman!

Folded and got all the laundry ready and then carried all that plus Alexandra in the baby carrier upstairs! (PHEW!)

It's 4pm at this point.

[livejournal.com profile] peting73 all mopey, food what, don't wanna cook don't wanna do anything...

So I got all the flowers drenched in water so they'll be fine while we are gone and then set to preparing dinner while I told [livejournal.com profile] peting73 to go shop baby-food since we'll need it during our trip. I can't cook baby-food for Alexandra then.

5pm I feed Alexandra and 5:30pm [livejournal.com profile] peting73 comes home. Now annoyed he didn't get food BEFORE going grocery shopping. *FACE-PALM!* He is still feeling sick. He goes to lay on the couch after dinner. Me I deal with Alexandra and trying to get all the clothes that I'd folded put away.

Success with half of it! Then time to get Alexandra a bath so she'll be clean and nice for trip. [livejournal.com profile] peting73 still on couch slightly sick don't wanna...

Right! Me do! And does so successfully at 6:30pm. Alexandra loves it! So she gets a long bath and then her pajamas on + diaper and then she sits in [livejournal.com profile] peting73's lap a bit while I prepare her evening porridge. She eats well, but is very tired. [livejournal.com profile] peting73 still on couch. Now asleep. AGAIN!

Nature calls for me just when Alexandra is done, prompting a HUGE bout of crying from Miss [livejournal.com profile] mini_viking waking [livejournal.com profile] peting73 up so he deals with her for a bit until I can again. I take Alexandra with me and let her fall asleep in my lap and take a breather.

PHEW!

What a day!

And tomorrow? Tomorrow we are finally going on that trip! :-D Because now [livejournal.com profile] peting73 is fine. :-) Whatever sickness he got it passed during the day, so this evening? Fine. So there will be a trip tomorrow.

Plan is set and will go as follow...
  • Tomorrow: Drive to my aunts for the HUGE family gathering / Pre-Midsummer party she arranges every single year! There'll be around 25-30 people there or so, all of us related in one way or another to each other or married into the family. :-) (2 hour drive.)

  • Then drive on for 3 hours more to a small city where we'll stay at the main hotel and sleep.

  • 21st, Midsummer Eve: We'll get up when Alexandra wakes up and drive on towards [livejournal.com profile] peting73s best friend for another... Maybe 4 hour drive or so? And then celebrate Midsummer's Eve with him and his family and some more friends! We'll sleep at theirs that night.

  • 22nd, Midsummer Day: We'll spend some more time with [livejournal.com profile] peting73s best friend and his family, before we leave. Drive for about 4 hours or so and then stay in another city this time and stay at one of their hotels and spend the night there.

  • 23ed: Wake up with Alexandra. Get ready and drive home the last 4 hours on the road...

It'll be an interesting experience for sure to make such a huge trip with Alexandra... But we've prepared as much as possible, so I am quite confident it'll be fine. She don't mind going in the car, and I'll bring toys and such for her to play with, not to mention plenty food and water. :-) So I am quite hopefull for the trip. And it'll be great to meet everyone of course! :-D

Right. I should go to bed. It's quite the day we have ahead of us tomorrow!

HAVE A GREAT MIDSUMMER IF YOU CELEBRATE IT, PEOPLE!
