I'm sick... And Snowflake Challenge Day 11-15!

I am home sick today. Ugh. Every time I get sick, in having a cold, it effects my throat. Everytime. I sound like shit (if you follow me on Instagram/Snapchat you've heard my horrible voice.) It started on Sunday when we were at my cousin and mom. And then it just got worse and worse... :-P Monday and yesterday was really really bad. I was really short of breath and it... "whistled"... when I was breathing? And it was hard to breath. Not to the point I felt a need to go to the ER, but it was still not very fun. And I was coughing. SO MUCH! So now my ribs ache. :-P And I had a fever. Because why not. It's a good thing the kids/teens are off school this week what with Easter, or I would have felt horribly guilty as well. Bah. But as it is, no school this week so I can be at home and get well in peace.

Yesterday though I'd taken a day off and had planned to go shopping with Alexandra. And we did! But man, my breathing was so bad when we came home I had to sit down and focus on my breathing for a moment when we came home. After that though, I've just taken it easy. Taking care of me. I know I'm bad at that. But I get when I'm beaten by germ. *raises fist at fucking germs*

Anyway, since I'm home anyway, I'll just finish off this challenge that I started. I'm late as all hell, but I WILL FINISH IT DAMMIT!!!

Day 1Day 2Day 3Day 4Day 5Day 6Day 7Day 8Day 9Day 10♥ Day 11 ♥ Day 12 ♥ Day 13 ♥ Day 14 ♥ Day 15 ♥

Day 11

Share a book/song/movie/tv show/fanwork/etc that changed your life

Oh dear... This is a hard one to answer, since I've been around for quite a lot of years. *LOL* Old farts unite! I'm allowed to call myself that when I'm 40, right? ;-)

Anyway, well... If I go to books I've reread the most, I'd say there's a few series that kind of changed my mind. That I can say opened my mind and set my imagination on fire when I was young.

First off there's CS Lews Narnia series. It was the first fantasy-series I read, and it was very much an AHA-moment for me when I read them. I was... 11-12 when I read them the first time, I think. And when I reread them today, I still enjoy them (although I see the issues today to... Because there are quite a few.)

Then there's The Hobbit by JRR Tolkien. NOT The Ring Trilogy, actually. To be quite honest, I think they're boring. But The Hobbit I love! Same thing there, it just again showed the width of the imagination for me.

And then there's all the comics I've read through the years.

Donald Duck and C/O is the first comic I ever got a subscription on when I was 6 years old. I'm still subscribed to it. Get a comic in the mail once a week. I can't imagine a Friday without it, to be honest. :-)

And then there's Elfquest. I found the first two issues in a corner in the public library, broken and worn, but they spoke to me and I could NOT get enough of them! They stopped publishing them in swedish, but I now have nearly everything published in english. I don't know what it is with that comic, but I can not get enough of it. When I was young I saw one thing when reading it and as an adult another. Pretty incredible.

When it comes to movies and TV-show, the first one that really knocked me out was... Xena The WarriorPrincess. I do remember that there was two things with Xena. One: There's a woman that's far tougher than any man! And Two: She was the bad guy first!

Then there's Buffy, and it's the same thing there. A bad ass WOMAN in the lead. And vampires. Which I've always had a thing for. Just like with the others it was one of those AHA-moments.

I think all off these gave me AHA-moments. I could go on, I suppose, but these are the main ones. :-)

Day 12

In your own space, create a fanwork. Make a podfic, an icon, a sketch, a meta, or a rec list. Arts and crafts. Cross stitch. Draft an essay about a particular medium. Put together a picspam or a fanmix. Write a review of book you love, a ship manifesto, a you-should-be-listening-to-this-band essay. Create something.

I'm not a contributer to fandoms, so I don't have anything in particular. I just read, watch and listen. :-P But I do try to comment all the things that I do enjoy. Especially fanfic, for some reason. And fanart. Because that's people that write/draw something they are passionate about, and they should know there are more people that are passionate about the same thing.

I did create a list about my favorite YouTube channels once, I guess that's as close to something I've done. :-P

Day 13

In your own space, set some goals for the coming year. They can be fannish or not, public or private.

My goal is to just do what makes me happy. If you're in a fandom, or a fan of something/someone that does not make you happy, then why do you do it? So yeah. I'm not going to force it. I'm always so tired after work anyway, so I don't even have energy to talk to friends. So why should I do/read/watch anything that just makes me sad or upset me? I mean, really? My time is worth more than that.

Day 14

In your own space, create your own challenge. Whatever your challenge is, and have fun with it!

My challenge to any writer and/or artist is to write/draw a character that is the least popular in your fandom. Try it. Maybe you end up like it.

Challenge for me is to be more social. To dare to be online and talk to people again. And not be ashamed if I end up zoning out. It's fine to do that, even if whoever I talk to have to remind me of their existence. I'm a 40 year old mom working full time. I'm allowed to zone out in the evenings.

Day 15

In your own space, write a love letter to Fandom in general, to a particular fandom, to a trope, a relationship, a character, or to your flist/circle/followers. Share your love and squee as loud as you want to.

Dear fandom,

Without you I would not have discovered so many things about myself. Without you I would have been so lonely. Without you I would not be who I am today. Without you I would not have so many friends for life. And for all that and more, I will be eternally grateful.

Yours truly

Snowflake Challenge Day 10

Fandom Snowflake Challenge banner 2018

Day 1Day 2Day 3Day 4Day 5Day 6Day 7Day 8Day 9 ♥ Day 10

Day 10

In your own space, share your love for a trope, cliché, kink, motif, or theme. (Or a few!) Tell us what makes it work for you, and why it appeals to you so much. Talk about what you like to see in fanworks featuring that theme most. Feel free to include recs and examples!

OK, so… I almost don’t want to say. Which is horrible, because I’m pretty much kink-shaming myself. :-P If that is making sense.

Because I like darkfic. And I don’t mean just a little-spanking-so-called-darkfic. I mean down the rabbit hole absolutely horrible darkfic that could give you nightmares. That kind of darkfic.

It’s not written often, especially not in all fandoms. I think it depends on the fandom. Where darkfic is the ‘biggest’, if you could say that according to my experience, is in the Buffy-fandom. Because there’s vampires. And they survive anything and heal anything. (I’ve read fics where vampires have been cut to pieces. Literary. And been kept that way. Ehm…) So so much good darkfic in that fandom.

But to my surprise, once I learned how to use the fic warnings in various archives, there’s quite a lot of darkfic going on in the Tokio Hotel fandom to. Once you know HOW to look for them, they’re there. There’s more than you might think. And a lot of it is really good!

Not that much in the Pirates-fandom. Interestingly enough since there’s various variations of zombie-pirates… In the Pirates-fandom there’s, however, a lot of cliché fic! All the pirate-clichés you can think off! *lol* However, in the Pirates-fandom there’s quite a few fic where the writer has incorporated real historic people, pirates from history. Which is interesting. :-)

Oh, another fandom where you could find quite a bit of darkfic was in the Sons of Anarchy fandom, but that’s not so strange, is it? That whole TV-show was a darkfic in and off itself. *lol* Since the show has ended though there’s not much action going on in the fandom. A shame.

So… WHY do I like darkfic so much? I think it’s the same thing why I loved dark biographies when I grew up. I mean, I read some seriously dark stories when I grew up, apart from all the fantasy books I read. As an example two of my favorite books from when I was… 14 or 15 years old are Phantom by Susan Kay and And I don't want to live this life - A mother's story of her daughter's murder by Deborah Spungen, which should tell you a lot. :-)

And then there’s the little thing about my loving tru crime stories, and that’s pretty dark to, isn’t it? So I guess I just like dark stories, be it fiction, biographies or fanfic. :-)

Snowflake Challange Day 4 and 5

Fandom Snowflake Challenge banner 2018

Day 1Day 2Day 3 ♥ Day 4 ♥ Day 5 ♥

Day 4

In your own space, create a fannish wishlist. No limits on size or type of fanwork; just tell us what you’d like to see.

Oh… gawd… I mean, I don’t really read fanfic anymore, but I do have a loooong list of prompts that I wrote down once when there was a lot of fic-fests all over the Tokio Hotel fandom. I still have all them prompts. Some elaborate and some not so much. I really should post them, shouldn’t I?

Also, one thing I’d like to see is more fanfic with the rare pairings. You know what I mean. In all fandoms I’ve been in, there’s one pairing that ends up the most popular and EVERYONE writes that pairing it feels like. I never fall for those popular pairings. I always fall for the rare ones, the odd once.

A wish I have for ANY fandom really is that fanfic writers and fanart artists dared to stretch their limits a bit. Dared to try something new. Dared to step away from the most popular characters/pairings.

I think that’s my main wish really. :-)

Day 5

Recommend a fannish or creative resource.

Not really sure if this counts, but…

I really really do like Tokio Hotel Fanfiction. That archive doesn’t only gather to my love of the RP-slash written there. No. It does tickle my librarian nerd as well. Because it’s really well organized. As a librarian I can see a few flaws, but compared to other fanfic-archives this is probably one of the best archives when it comes to ease to find a fic you’d like. :-)

Can’t talk resources without mentioning AO3! That to is very easy to find in. To the point I’ve even used it in class in schools when talking about fanfiction and about archives. :-D The best part with tthis one is that you can find fic from more obscure fandoms and old ones. I mean, I’ve found fic for Elfquest AND for Robin of Sherwood there! Rare indeed!

And let's not forget my favorite swedish podcast! Tronspelet! If that's not a podcast made by fans for fans, I don't know what! Sadly though, since Game of Thrones are a on a break until next year, so is Tronspelet.

Not sure if I have any How To Do a certain thing though. :-P

Snowflake Challenge Day 1, 2 and 3!

Fandom Snowflake Challenge banner 2018

♥ Day 1 ♥ Day 2 ♥ Day 3 ♥

Day 1

In your own space, talk about why you're participating in Snowflake and, if you’ve participated in the past, how the challenge has affected you. What drew you to it? What did you take away from it? What do you hope to accomplish this year?

I've never participated before, but I've seen it around here and there. I never know what fandom to focus on though, since I've been in so many. But this year I decided to hell with it and to join in! :-D I'll just focus on whatever fandom I feel the most inspired for that particular post. :-)

What I hope it'll accomplish for me this year is to make sure I got used to post regularly in my journal again. After all these years, this has become a home of mine. I just don't always post. :-P I hope others will find it interesting to. Hopefully. I don't think my posts will be very long though. :-)

Day 2

In your own space, share a favorite memory about fandom: the first time you got into fandom, the last time a fanwork touched your heart, crazy times with fellow fans (whether on-line or off-line), a lovely comment you’ve received or have left for someone.

First time I got into fandom? Oh gawd.... Well, me and my best friend Yllytyg did fandomstuff without knowing it was that we were doing during the 1990's when we were watching Robin of Sherwood on TV and bonded over it. But we didn't have internet then, nor computers. And no connections to get a hold of any fanzines of any sort either.

The fandom I properly discovered online and that there were things called fanart and fanfic that was Xena the WarriorPrincess. I got a computer and everything then. So yeah, then I started to be active in a fandom.

My favorite fandom-memory must be the one and only convention I went to. A Xena convention at a hotel really close to Heathrow Airport in London. I got to meet some of the actors (not Lucy Lawless nor Renee O'Connor, but quite a few of my favorite villians...). But the best part about that con was that a lot of people from the board/forum I frequented daily back then had decided to meet up there. And we were from ALL OVER THE WORLD! So that was AMAZING and one of my favorite fandom memories. :-)

Day 3

In your own space, post recs for at least three fanworks that you did not create.

Knowing quite a few writers, I'm bound to hurt someones feelings. So I apologize beforehand if I didn't rec a work you think I should have.

Going through my bookmarks and cleaning them up, I was so happy to find this Robin of Sherwood fic. It remains an amazing story no matter how you look at it.

Another substitute for screaming - Robin of Loxley/Will Scarlet. Dealing with loss the outlaw way... It's.. somewhat dark with mayor character death and stuff, but yeah. Amazing. Just as old as the TV-show I'd guess, and still holds up well to this day.

Age of Unreason - You want something epic? I give you this. The world the writer builds in this is just... I have no words. It's dark. Extremly dark. And, of course, it's Spike who gets the bad end of the stick here. The pairings from the Buffy-verse are all over the place. I think she manages to get nearly all, fanon and canon and everything in between. But what sticks with me is the world she builds in this. It's a very long fic, but if you have time and the stomach (see: extremly dark), it's so worht it! Also, you need to friend [profile] glassdarklyuk to be able to read it.

Transition - I actually helped the writer with this. Not beta, I suck at grammar. But to iron out the story. And what a story it is... It centers around Georg, this story. Yeah, it's Tokio Hotel, so RP-slash and all. Anyway, this is again an extremly dark story, so beware of that. Transgender issues, dangers when it comes to gay clubs, rape drugs... There's just so much going on here. And the story is just out of this world. Do read it if you can stomach it!

Sugar I'm going down - A fic actually written for me. I know. I've had a few fics written for me in the Tokio Hotel fandom, and it is just as amazing every time! This is, again, very dark and deals with mental issues so beautiful. This whole fic is just... I have no words. None. Just read it. During all my active fandom-years, this is one of my absolut favorite fics, no joke.

When you're talking Tokio Hotel fanfic, there's a few writers that I just have to mention.

Snowstormskies - Who ended up a very dear friend of mine, and who writes emotion like I don't even know what. She really gets into the head off her characters.

Raiju What patience earns, King of Kings... Do I even have to say more? I've still to finish off King of Kings, because I just can't even... o.O

Steinsgrrl - What to say off her? She ran the fiction archive for quite a long time. She's been around in the fandom for very long to and is an all around amazing person and writer.

and last but not least

Zarlina - who is probably one of the most productive writers I know! And she's GOOD to!

And if I've forgotten any writers that I know, PLEASE forgive me!!!

Right on, I have a hole in a tooth that hurts like a motherfucker, so tomorrow morning there will be a visit to the dentist. Feel sorry for me? More fandom stuff tomorrow!

Fun Swedish Number calls, watching TV, family, work, fangirling, Prince...

I promised to say if I got any fun calls on The Swedish Number as a random swede. And I did some time ago actually. While doing dishes. In my pajamas. X-D

I had made myself available to take calls, and I got a call. And it was from a radio station in Paraguay. And I was suddenly live talking on the air.

...

Yes, I'm not even kidding. X-D We had a bit of a language problem since I couldn't speak spanish and they could barely speak english! *LOL* But we made do, and it worked out moderately fine. They wanted to know why I was taking calls, if I thought it was fun. Approximately where I lived in Sweden (so they could look on a map) and the best things I could recommend about Sweden (NATURE, NATURE, NATURE! And Allemansrätten!).

That was a FUN call! The guys were really cute. One of them could speak moderately well english. And I found out he'd learned it from movies. In particular, the Star Wars movies. Apparently such a big fan, he was called Jedi. Ha ha ha! SO AWESOME! They tracked my twitter down after I gave the name to them, so now I know what the station is called. Mandiorama! A bunch of true gentlemen, to be quite honest! So if you know spanish, well... ;-)

Here's their twitter: @Mandiorama and their Facebook: Mandiorama.

Since then I haven't taken that many calls, though. :-P I've amused myself to catch up on the the swedish TV show Let's Dance instead, which is the swedish version of Dancing with the stars. :-) It's very campy and cheesy and filled with clichés, but I can't help but love it.

I also follow a very nice documentary series that try to understand the many many beggers from Romania we have here in the city were I live, Borås. It has become a problem, and the question is HOW to help all these people the best? The documentary series is not saying it has an answer, it just wants to show that these are people too, they have a reason for being here and have lives like everyone else. It's gut-wrenching to watch, but important to, I believe.

What's more been going on? Not much. After Alexandra's run in with high fevers and that fever cramp, things has been going on as normal with her. Nothing strange there.

We visited mom and celebrated her birthday, which was GREAT! :-D When I asked mom what she wanted she said she wanted socks. OK then! The woman wanted socks, she’ll get socks. *LOL* So I bought a lot of fun ones from SockDreams. Made me giggle, and I knew mom would love it. :-)

Only problem was that for some reason they had some problem in the US, namely LA, when the package was to be shipped, so I didn’t get it until it was too late. And I’d ordered it with plenty time to! So she got some flowers instead and we decided she’d get her gift when next we meet.

Two days after we got home, her socks arrived. Which Alexandra thought was so much fun, so day after they’d arrived she decided that we were going to post grandma a package with her socks. *LOL* And Alexandra was SOOOO DETERMINED! So we wrapped them up, we sorta wrote a letter and after dinner we went to the nearest post office and posted it. Alexandra thought it was SO MUCH FUN!

Alexandra and the package to grandma! )

Silly girl. *lol* Mom loved to get a surprise package though, so I’d call it a success. :-)

Work, well… it’s insane as ever. Preparations for our move from our temporary premises is in full swing behind the scenes. I’ve seen furniture and shelves for the new library presented from four companies, and it looks wonderful. Once everyone else have decided what company they like the most, it’ll be decided and work to start furnish the school and library will start. This a slow process though, and I’m already stressed over August when school starts up again. (That’s healthy… not.) I’m really looking forward to have a totally fresh and new library though! :-D

When not working I’m totally fangirling online like always. A lot of time goes to roleplaying with @Duodeathstar. And to help [livejournal.com profile] tattooofhername with her MASSIVE fic Transition! Dark, so very dark a fic. But DAMN! It’s SO GOOD! Proud to be a part of that. :-D

Talking off fandom’s and such, one of my new friends on my friendslist, [livejournal.com profile] denorios, has written SUCH an interesting piece of meta on the evolution of fandoms. And it’s SO GOOD! You need to go read it stat! Who is the best fan? The one who followed the band/actor before they were popular? Or the fans that just discovered them? Or are ALL fans just as good? ;-)

What are your thoughts on the evolution of fandom?

You can probably guess my view on the matter. ;-)

Sad thing lately, and well… All of 2016 is all the artistic icons that keep dying this year. Latest in the list is Prince who died last night (my time).
He was such an amazing artist and seemed to have been an amazing human being to. I’m quite sure he’ll be greatly missed. Not only by fans, but family I’m sure.

Here’s Prince’s halftime show from SuperBowl 2007, which is so damn impressive. Pouring rain, lightning and thunder… And what does he do? Rock on in one hell of a halftime show on a slick stage with electric lights, playing several electric guitars and walking around on crazy high heels. The man rocked. Hands down.

Really getting into this... + PIMPING!!!

Wow... I am really getting back into this LJ-thing, aren't I? It just feels really damn GOOD! :-D Like I'm coming home. Which, you know... It basically is. *checks* My first entry was posted in December of 2003. Damn... o.O Could say I've spent a significant part of my time here.

Work has been good today. REALLY lazy, so I got in some fanfic reading in the midst of it. :-) Well, not 'normal' fanfic reading. I did, what I call it, my 'commenting-thing'. Where I read through a fanfic before it's finished or made official and see what makes sense and what makes no sense etc. Can't be a proper beta, because well... swedish. Plus I suck at grammar in my own language, so having me as a proper beta would just be a disaster waiting to happen. *LOL* Apparently this 'commenting-thing' is popular, since I have done it for three writers. Currently "only" doing it for two. :-) It's A LOT of fun though, or I wouldn't be doing it.

Had some really cute encounters with kids/teens at the school today. :-) I mean, I know this is one (of two) of the most troublesome schools in the city, but that doesn't mean that ALL kids are hooligans. There's some seriously AWESOME kids in this school, from ALL OVER the world. And that is pretty neat. And the best part of this job, to be quite honest. I learn SO MUCH! Also, both headmasters are very pleased with what I've done so far. And rumors has it that my predecessor/previous eccentric colleague won't be coming back. Which means, this library will be mine. *SQUEEE!!!* :-D

Future is looking fucking bright, if you ask me. ;-)

And to finish this post off, as I do from time to time, I'll share stuff I've found online.

First off I give you this. From this Christmas somewhere in the US. I'm always amazed at how much time US-people spend on the light on their houses. This was pretty cool though, and I know my kid would have peed herself with joy over this, the fangirl that she is. :-D

Frozen lights blinking in time with Let It Go...

This I found hilarious. I live in a straight relationship as it were, so couldn't even imagine. How on earth can people actually say this? It's just... nuts.

Things people ask gay dads... )

On a bit more somber note, this is both disturbing and interesting all in the same time. Because really, only women is beaten, right? Wrong...

Domestic abuse advert Mankind )

This on the other hand made me laugh. All big hearty belly laugh, as it were. :-D And perfect for International Woman's Day!

Revealing dress -lady and old almost dead -lady on the tram... )

Talking off International Woman's day... I give you some kick ass strong women in comics. And I ain't talking super hero comics. I'm talking Elfquest, best comic ever made. And this article tells you just why you should read it... if nothing else for the awesomeness that is the female characters in said comic.

To hunt, to howl, to live free - Heather Johannsen on the powerful women of Elfquest

And... Now I need to go to bed. New day to strangel hooligan kids tomorrow. ;-)

Oh! And lastly, those coming over from 'that meme'... WELCOME! I'll do an about my post tomorrow! PROMISE! :-D Glad to have you here!

A pimp/spam post about 50 Shades of Grey... Trigger warning for discussions and hints about abuse!

Figured it was time for another pimp-post or whatever you wanna call them. There's just to many fun stuff to look at online, and then I feel the urge to share it. Sure, I retweet or replurk as well, but to collect it in one big post just appeals to me. Bear with me.

Lately, since it's had it's opening (on Valentines Day, wth?) I've seen a lot of stuff and read a lot of stuff about 50 Shades of Grey, the infamous Twilight fanfic... (in case you didn't know it was a Twilight fanfic...)

And OK, I admit. I read the first book. And yes, I do enjoy some BDSM in the bedroom. So hence it made me curious. But what I read? That was NOT BDSM! Oh HELL to the no! That was abuse. Plain and simple. :-/

So ever since I've been following the twitter account @50shadesabuse. Mostly I jus feel sorry for those who have gone through emotional abuse and is meet with this fail-tastic book that makes their experience into romance... *shakes head*

Prepare for shitload of links about 50 Shades of Grey Fail Abuse.... :-P

This is a short and to the point piece from The Independent UK which... I like because it IS to the point AND has actually lines from the book in the text/graphics. And no, they aren't made up. They ARE from the book.

Fifty Shades of Grey: It doesn't take a genius to realise that Christian Grey is a domestic abuser

This was absolutly brilliant. Because like it or not, 50 Shades of Grey does have fans. A shitload of them. And they are defending book and movie. It's easy to let the blood run hot in such a discussion, especialy if you or a close one to you have experienced mental abuse. So this is a brilliant piece to go to for advice on HOW to take the discussion with them fans. Calmly. Rational. And showing the flaw in their logic.

Let’s talk about 50 Shades in a calm and rational way

And this? This was also interesting. I'd like to know how many you got right if you haven't read the books... I think that would be quite interesting to know. ;-) Care to share?

Can You Tell The Difference Between Christian Grey And A Serial Killer?

And this? This just disturbed me. I mean, seriously? WTH? If you run into a guy like this... RUUUUN!!! Geezes... The poor girl in the interview both disturbed me and made me so achingly sad for her... :-/

Real-Life Christian Grey Claims To Have 'Converted' 350 Women To BDSM

This is one of the best reviews I've read. Because the reviewer walked into the movie theaters knowing NOTHING about 50 Shades of Grey, and the shock after watching it is so so so obvious in her review. And people think this is romance... WTH?

Rosie Reviews: Fifty Shades of Grey - Rosie Waterland expected the whole movie to be a bit of a cheesy laugh. Instead she walked out of the cinema on the verge of tears.

This is a professional morning show host giving a review of 50 Shades of Grey, and... she isn't holding back, put it that way. DAMN she's mean! X-D I kinda love it! And she brings up valid points to. :-)

These are so so so hilarious! Sometimes you can find true gold on Imgur. X-D And the even more hilarious thing is that the flaws pointed out in these reviews, and highlighted in an image... are things that ACTUALLY happen in the books! Oh, good lord... X-D

1 star reviews of 50 Shades of Grey on

One might think what with the movie coming up that the actors would be all over the place playing it up to promote the movie, right? Right? Nooooo!!! X-D OH SO WRONG! I guess they're trying, but they just look uncomfortable together! And as rumors go, apparently they had to reshoot the sex-scenes since they were far from hot. HA HA HA HA!!! X-D I should feel sorry for them, I really should... But they signed up for it. :-D

50 Shades of [Sigh]: The Disastrous 50 Shades of Grey Press Tour

This is a really good piece by the people behind the mentioned twitter account. They list various reasons why the books can be dagnerous and also what Christian does in the books. What makes him an abusive man and why is it dangerous to make that look romantic.

The powerful effect fiction can have on reality

This piece is really interesting because it looks at the interactions between Ana and Christian in 50 Shades through the law. Legally, who should be in the handcuffs? Really?

The site Rape Crisis also makes a post talking about the dangersou with 50 Shades of Grey should tell you lot something. And it's a really good piece to, going through the whole books. It's really eyeopening.

Yet another piece discussing how dangerous men like Christian Grey is. The amount of articles, blogg posts, protests at screenings should tell you something. So yeah, it's important to spread this I feel.

50 Shades of Disney . . . OMG

TLDR, if you don't wanna check all the above, than at least check out this vid:

This vid, one of my favorites I've seen actually, combines the brilliant speech that the US President, Barak Obama, held aginst abuse towards women. It combines his speech with cuts from the movie... that interestingly enough fits so very very well with the speech... while trying to make it look hot. URGH! But yeah, if you don't have the energy to check ANY other link, than this is it. Really.

And now I will shut up about the subject. At least for a long time ahead. Unless you follow me on Twitter, that is... :-P

Big ass sharing post!

I've collected so many things that I've wanted to share, that it’s a bit insane. So now I am going to! I’m sure there’ll be something for everyone that might be of interest in this… Serious, funny, cute, sad or just interesting. :-)

First up is both a sad and cute one. We all loved Jim Henson, right? Apparently the artists at Disney did to, because when Jim Henson died, this was the condolence card sent to the company… So sweet and cute and sad…

There there... )

You've all heard about 50 Shades of Grey, right? Well, so have I. And I've read the first book, even if it was a very difficult struggle. Because even though it is written like a love story, it is so very very clearly not. All the things that are written as romantic traits in Christian Grey are abusive traits. And I can not understand why someone would write it like that. Anyway, here’s one of the best articles I've found as of yet on the subject abuse in 50 Shades of Grey. Might be a little bit triggering.

Fifty Shades of F**king Abuse

You think that’s it? Oh no… No, no, no… The internet is abuzz with 50 Shades of Grey pros and cons. (I hate it, but I guess you've figured that out by now.) And this… THIS is really REALLY interesting. Especially if you’re involved with fandoms and fanfic reading and/or writing. How 50 Shades became so popular and where it comes from… and how the Twilight fandom works. I wasn't privy to all that is written in this post, I'll be honest to say. It’s originally from Reddit, and the original link is in this post, but this was just a neat way to read it to me who is not a Reddit fan. :-)

Fifty Shades of Grey: The Reddit Origins Essay

Now for something nicer. :-) Like some art. Art is soothing, right? And sometimes you stumble upon an artist that is so good you get a headache. *LOL* This artist is amazing, and I beg you to go check out her gallery, since you’ll have your jaw at the floor in no time. Geezes christ the detail this woman draws…

Midnight Ramblings - …the sketches & scribblings of Stephanie Pui-Mun Law…

I follow her on Instagram as well, and man... Her progress-photos makes me weep.

Stephanie Pui Mun Law on Instagram

If you’re swedish or know the language, I do sugest you check out this interview. :-) It’s one of my sweet friends, Owlfoot, that is interviewed in swedish television since she don’t want kids and had a Sterilization done when she was 28. It’s a great interview, and I must say I am proud to have such tough intelligent and wise friends. :-)

Måste man ha barn i en lycklig relation?

And this? This is kinda cute with an important message… :-)

Human Rights - The Harry Potter version )

Talking of Harry Potter, my friend [Bad username or site: ”snowstormskies” @ livejournal.com] gave me a new view of the character Dumbledore, who I usually like. Very interesting.

Dumbledore is not a nice guy

And then there’s this. And this seriously cracked me up! X-D Men, at least you don’t have it as bad as the male honeybee! *lol* Sometimes I think Mother Nature does these things just to fuck around with us…

The male honeybee...

If you don’t know who John Cleese is, then you fail at life. *lol* Seriously, this man and Monthy Python and the Flying Circus has influenced comedy SO MUCH! Whether you like them or not you have to give them credit for that. And now John Cleese has released a biography about his life called So Anyway… which I for one really look forward reading! It has been translated and may libraries have it in their collections now….… And in preparation of that John Cleese got interviewed. By Eddie Izzard. This is, in a word, brilliance! It is a LOVELY interview! Seriously! Go look!

Eddie Izzard interviews John Cleese about his comedy influences and more )

Eddie Izzard talks to John Cleese about his school days and when he discovered comedy )

I don’t know much about Taylor Swift, I will admit. Her music is not what I usually listen to. But I will say this was very cool! It went, if not viral, then it sure made it’s rounds around Christmas. And I've rewatched it quite a few times. All the props to Taylor Swift for doing this. I don’t know many celebrities that would. To get a personalized gift from your idol? That… is pretty cool. :-)

Taylor Swift's Gift Giving of 2014 )

And here be some lovely lovely library porn. Give me a break. I’m a librarian. These tickle me like not much else. And I would love to go on a trip to explore various libraries in the world, just for the hell of it. I’m a silly sod, I know. :-D

House Of Books: The Most Majestically Beautiful Libraries Around The World Photographed By Franck Bohbot

Here’s a bit more modern a library, but damn.. It’s really cool still!

Modern gorgeous library... )

To end this post on a laugh! (A bit NSFW-laugh, but still…) Here’s an image that was shared on Plurk that seriously cracked me up. X-D

Fandom-meme, because why the hell not?

Alright. Gonna do this fandom meme that I've seen floating around, even if I am somewhat late to join in, but what the helll...

1. What's the worst fanfic you've ever written/have thought about writing?

I'm not a writer, never considered myself one. I do, however, have a Prompt-document where I collect ideas/bunnies or whatever you wanna call it. I sometimes throw them at writers I know or most often than not at various fests. And there are some of them that are... Pretty crazy. *lol* They'll never be written, most likely, but yes. There are some nuts stuff there. Especially when I stumble upon websites or links and then my mind starts working. I'll show two as examples:

42. Any pairing (NO twincest!)

There is surfing on the internet. There is living on two sides of the ocean. There are travels. There is boredom. There is times when one is so horny it hurts and your significant other is far away. Good thing then, eh, that technology has done some serious leaps and bounds in this day and age! Because with a little help from LovePalz, distance is no longer a problem…

LovePalz with commentary (feel free to take inspiration!): http://kseenaa.tumblr.com/post/46293135556/nanibgal-goddessofcheese-psdo-wugs

LovePalz website so you know it is all true. :-)
https://www.lovepalz.com/

43. Gustav/Anyone

Gustav has a sister. A sister that loves teasing the hell out of her little brother when she gets the chance. So when she stumbles upon these… she sends the link to her brother, who of course tell her to go fuck off… but secretly keeps the link and buys a pair… Because really… It’s just too brilliant. And his significant other has NO complaints after an evening playing around with these! In fact, he wants a chance to use them to…

Vibrating drumsticks…: http://www.shopinprivate.com/phil-varone-sex-stix.html

Seriously, Internet? What do you DO to my brain?

2. Admit to a kink you're ashamed you like.

I am not ashamed per say about any kinks, really. But the one that is most rarely written and one can get some raised eyebrows at... is daddy-kink. And I really really love that. Also, I have a HUGE thing for darkfic with gore and all the trimmings, and that... can cause a few raised eyebrows as well. Especially since I can NOT watch horror-movies without getting nightmares. I know. Makes no sense what so ever.

3. Copy paste a line from the first smutty fanfic you wrote or fess up to a sexual fantasy you have about a character.

I don't write. I only cheat a little in drabbles. And I do a lot of RP where there's smut galore. But fic-wise? Well... Let's see if I can find a drabble that has smut in it. An early one. And, of course, the first drabble with smut in it is a dark one. And a crossover one, True Blood/Tokio Hotel.

Throwing the boy over his desk, Eric squeezed himself before pulling the boys shorts down... Those fucking eyes always got to him... Can’t have that. And he had such a nice body... A strong body. He would probably last longer than most... Not caring about preparing him, Eric pushed in... It always got a sound out of him, and he wanted to hear him...

“Gah! Oh gawd... SHIT! Ah... Fuck...”

And there it was... Eric smirked a bit, smelling the boys blood in the air... Leaning over him, he licked his neck, feeling the pulse thrum hard under the thin skin... Biting his neck next to an old scar, Eric could feel how the boy got more frantic under him, the pain more or less forgotten... mixed with pleasure now... Such sweet delicious blood... Tinged with pain, fear and pleasure... Just the right mix.

“No... Yes... Geezes, PLEASE!!!”

Not even touching him, Eric just let go of the wound and whispered in the boys ear. “Come.” And he did. Hard. Marking his desk. Again. The way his warm body clutched around him, more or less pulled Erics own orgasm out of him... And he filled the boys bleeding ass silently, nearly pushing both boy and desk across the room...

Shut up.

4. Have you ever read or written RPS/RPF?

I'd say Tokio Hotel counts. It's the only fandom where I've read RPS.

5. Most shameful ship?

I'm not ashamed of any ship I've enjoyed reading. I usually go for the rare or odd ones.

6. Ever been at the center of fandom drama?

Yeah, or at least RP-drama. Big community of players in the Buffyfandom when there was a lot of RP going on in said fandom. Was part of a whole community of players then. Mod asked for help from me. Then blamed all the problems in the game on me. All other roleplayers believed her. Things were hell for awhile and I didn't do any RP for... at LEAST 6 months or so. Not to fun, no.

7. What is your fandom guilty pleasure?

I have no idea what they mean here... Guilty pleasure? Roleplaying as a gay man maybe? I don't know...

If you have a better idea, let me know what I could answer here... Really. Suggestions are welcome.

8. Share something you did in fandom that you're embarrassed about.

I bashed another fandom without meaning to once. To me, it felt like I was drowning and got said fandom pushed at me all the time. "Like this!" "You have to like that!" "You gotta see this!" And it got to much for me and I kicked back just to get people to stop already. It wasn't very nice of me, I know. But hey... Live and learn, I guess.

9. Describe the first time you read a smutty fanfic. What ship was it and what kinks were involved?

A long time ago. And not even in Sweden. It was during my time in the US that I discovered the Xena-fandom and started reading fanfic. I can't pinpoint exact day and fic, but... I am 100% sure it was Xena/Gabrielle. I think there was bondage and whips involved. (It's Xena, come on...) And maybe some voyeurism as well, not 100% sure. So I started my fanfic-reading career with femme-slash.

10. Any fandoms you'd hate to admit you were a part of?

Nope. Not ashamed of any of them. Have a list:

Robin of Sherwood, Xena the Warriorprincess, Buffy the Vamprieslayer, Pirates of the Caribbean, Tokio Hotel, Sons of Anarchy...

11. Just how often do you think about your favorite characters getting down and dirty?

Considering I usually roleplay my favorite characters in smutty (more or less... most often then not more...) settings... You don't even wanna know.

12. Someone found your delicious account/bookmarks/AO3 account or however you keep track of your favorite fics. What's the one fic you're going to be most humiliated about?

Probably some daddy-kink fic... or the one with necrophilia. Yeah. Any of those.

13. Ever been caught reading smut/writing smut/drawing smut/looking at smutty drawings?

Peting's computer is right next to mine, so I'd say yes. And he looks and comments sometimes. Yes, he is very straight. Yes, he thought looking at gay porn was disgusting when he first meet me (although never had anything against gay-people... just didn't wanna see.). And then, well... he meet me. He is so used to it now he don't even raise an eyebrow.

14. What would your parent/guardian/family friend think if they saw your tumblr LiveJournal?

Peting: "Still the same fandom? Same old, same old... What does she wanna know about the male anatomy today?"

Spicehobbit: "RPS? AAAAH! My eyes!" *beat* "Where's the Les Misarables post...?"

Mom: "So this is what it actually looks like? Interesting..."

Brother: "You're nuts."

Had my father lived he'd have calmly told me to get out of the house more.

15. Oh shit you croaked without getting rid of the fandom stuff you saved to your computer. What's your next of kin or friend going to find when they turn on your computer?

They'd find a very orderly set of files and subfiles. So it's very easy to find on my comptuer. Photos, fanart, fanfic... The only thing I've hidden is my hentai-folder. *cough* So anyone would have to work a little to find that one. Hopefully they won't and I'll be able to stop anyone from looking in that deep dark pit.

Not dead!

I swear!

I've just been busy, I'd say.

Kid / Alexandra / [livejournal.com profile] mini_viking (I've gotten back to update her LJ, btw!)

Especially these last two weeks. Because Alexandra has started daycare at one of the day care centers around here. Oh yes. Even if I am partly unemployed and just hired by the hour, she is still allowed 15 hours each week according to Swedish rules.

But she had to get used to the place and the teachers working there and all them other kids. But since I've been smart enough to always bring her with me everywhere and going to sing-a-longs and baby swimming class and Open Preschool and all that... Alexandra is used to people and other kids. She likes to hang around with others. She is a social kid already. So I wasn't that worried.

First days we were just there a little, progressively longer days. I was with her the whole time! Although, she didn't care much about mom, crawling off to play with all them kids. The other kids are from age 1 - 5 or 6. (You start school at age 6 here in Sweden.) So it can get a bit loud sometimes. Alexandra don't care though, she was happy crawling around. And all the other kids fussed over her, since she is the smallest one in the group. It was really cute! :-)

Second week, I started leaving her alone there, a little at a time. First time just 30 mins, and then longer and longer... Friday she was there from 8:30am until 1pm.

And she has done GREAT the whole time! The teachers that work with the kids in that group keeps telling me what a cute, brave, independent, secure in herself kid she is. I really don't know what to answer to that. Because... somehow I must have done something right along the way.

Although, I have no idea what. o.O

The day care center is AWESOME though! :-D And the teachers/staff that works there are brilliant. It wasn't our first choice, so it's a bit to walk there. Takes me 20-25 mins to get there in the morning. NOT fun. :-/ Our first choice is like... 5 mins walk from here. A bit of a difference. We are still in line for that one though, and hopefully there'll be room for Alexandra there within 6months.

So that's been keeping me VERY busy.

Alexandra will be there 8am - 1pm Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday every week from now on.

What will I do in the meantime? LOOK FOR A JOB!!! GAWD! I need to get out of here and hang out with other adults.

Family

Yesterday we visited my little brother who had his 32nd birthday. I've been, admittedly, very worried about him what with the divorce and his ex-wife being so... different than who she used to be it is crazy. And of course worried about my niece and nephew, Alexandra's cousins. Them kids live one week with my brother and one week with his ex-wife. So far it seems to be going really well since they live close to each other thanx to work and such...

Apparently she got another guy already though. My brother had his suspicions, but she wouldn't come clean for quite a while, but now she has. I thought that would make my brother even more upset and such... But instead he is relieved. Because now there's nothing hidden between them anymore, and he can move on. So he is way happier again, and in turn that makes the kids feel better to! Apparently they are more happier when they stay with my brother than with their mom. It's a bit crazy with his ex-wife, really...

They've been together since they both were 16. And I guess you change a lot during 16 more years...

Anyway. I am DAMN proud of how far my brother has gotten after all this. Already, I might add! It hasn't been that long since they filed for divorce. But on the other hand, the marriage hasn't been that good for long, so... *shrug*

Had a brilliant time with him and mom and my relatives yesterday though! Alexandra was exhausted when we left and slept in the car on our way home. I think she had fun to playing with cousins, grandma and such!

Fandom

I inherited a community, [livejournal.com profile] tokiohotelslash! YAY! With over 900 members! YAY! Or... wait, what?!? Because there's some seriously suspicious journals I've seen when I've checked the members list randomly... (Not updated since 2007? Not updated AT ALL? No birthdate? No info what so ever? Yes. Suspicious...)

Also, the tags is a bit of a mess. I am sure there was a plan there at some point, but it has since been lost when the community has kept changing hands.

And I want to do something with the place. Currently I do pimp-posts, once a week. Pimping fic with a specific pairing. I am also considering running some sort of fic-challenge, but how to make it different? The FQF's that are run by the BRILLIANT mods at [livejournal.com profile] th_fanfic twice a year is all the rage, not to mention Secret Santas, so I am not sure if I should...? And if I do... how to make them different? Drabbles? *shrug*

One thing at a time, I suppose. I'll have tackle the tags and members problem first.

I will admit it is a bit exciting though! And I hope I'll do a good job with it. :-D

Still keeping up my Project of Doom, as I lovingly have named it as well. :-) I keep checking TokihotelFiction.Com every day (or every other day) to see what fic has been updated, and what pairing... collecting data to see what pairing is the most popular and HOW much popular it is compared to others. It's very interesting! I've kept it up for this entire year, and it'll be fun to see the final results in December!

I feel quite proud over the fact I've managed to keep it up for 9 months! :-D I wasn't sure I'd be able to when I started, to be honest. Now I think I'll make it to the end of the year! *determined*

Anyway, that's me right now. :-) All over the place, like always. *grins* :-D I hope everyone is doing good though, or as good as can be!

Fandom is...

This has probably been posted by a milion and one on any blogging / journaling platform there is where fans and fandoms exist... But I can not get over how VERY true this is. And I keep going back to it again and again and again and again...

Three cheers for fans and fandoms! *pulls out the vodka*

Fandom is focus. Fandom is obsession. Fandom is insatiable consumption. Fandom is sitting for hours in front of a TV screen a movie screen a computer screen with a comic book a novel on your lap. Fandom is eyestrain and carpal tunnel syndrome and not enough exercise and staying up way, way past your bedtime.

Fandom is people you don't tell your mother you're meeting. Fandom is people in the closet, people out and proud, people in costumes, people in T-shirts with slogans only fifty others would understand. Fandom is a loud dinner conversation scaring the waiter and every table nearby.

Fandom is you in Germany and me in the US and him in Australia and her in Japan. Fandom is a sofabed in New York, a roadtrip to Oxnard, a friend behind a face in London. Fandom talks past timezones and accents and backgrounds. Fandom is conversation. Communication. Contact.

Fandom is drama. Fandom is melodrama. Fandom is high school. Fandom is Snacky's law and Godwin's law and Murphy's law. Fandom is smarter than you. Fandom is stupider than you. Fandom is five arguments over and over and over again. Fandom is the first time you've ever had them.

Fandom is female. Fandom is male. Fandom lets female play at being male. Fandom bends gender, straight, gay, prude, promiscuous. Fandom is fantasy. Fandom doesn't care about norms or taboos or boundaries. Fandom cares too much about norms and taboos and boundaries. Fandom is not real life. Fandom is closer than real life. Fandom knows what you're really like in the bedroom. Fandom is how you would never, could never be in the bedroom.

Fandom is shipping, never shipping, het, slash, gen, none of the above, more than the above. Fandom is love for characters you didn't create. Fandom is recreating the characters you didn't create. Fandom is appropriation, subversion, dissention. Fandom is adoration, extrapolation, imitation. Fandom is dissection, criticism, interpretation. Fandom is changing, experimenting, attempting.

Fandom is creating. Fandom is drawing, painting, vidding: nine seasons in four minutes of love. Fandom is words, language, authoring. Fandom is essays, stories, betas, parodies, filks, zines, usenet posts, blog posts, message board posts, emails, chats, petitions, wank, concrit, feedback, recs. Fandom is writing for the first time since you were twelve. Fandom is finally calling yourself a writer.

Fandom is signal and response. Fandom is a stranger moving you to tears, anger, laughter. Fandom is you moving a stranger to speak.

Fandom is distraction. Fandom is endangering your job, your grades, your relationships, your bank account. Fandom gets no work done. Fandom is too much work. Fandom was/is just a phase. Fandom could never be just a phase. Fandom is where you found a friend, a sister, a kindred spirit. Fandom is where you found a talent, a love, a reason.

Fandom is where you found yourself.

Good and bad.

I am an expert at procrastinate. And that is not always a good thing.

See, I have my pile of shame on my desk. That is, the pile of important papers I SHOULD deal with as soon as possible. Problem though. I procrastinate and just don't get to it. :-/ NOT of the good. This almost made me lose the space Alexandra got in public daycare. FUCK! Gladly I could solve this over the phone, but damn! That was a close call. NOT good!

Sometimes I really hate being an adult. *sigh*

I've read some really good fanfic lately though! I usually don't take time to read any fanfic, but the other night I did. :-) I can never resist a good threesome fic, and then there was a prequel to, so hey... All of the good, right? Only, I'd never read anything in said fandom before, so I was very much the virgin. And it was awesome! :-D What a great fic that was!

So I do recommend checking it out. It's written by [livejournal.com profile] snowstormskies and her friend (and bunny-farmer) [livejournal.com profile] casey270.

They made these fic into a series called Growth and Change, so I hope there'll be more. :-)

First is called A Place To Grow and the second is called A Time To Change. It's in the Adam Lambert fandom with Tom Kaulitz thrown in for good measure. ;-)

When I'd finished reading that thing I cruised around the community where that thing had been posted here on LJ. And what do I find. But a fic mixing up the Adam Lambert fandom... and Buffy the Vampireslayer fandom. X-D In specific them two vampires Spike and Angel! *laughs ass off* I swear to gawd them vampires show up EVERYWHERE! Either that or everyone wants them to fuck everything... or get fucked by everything! *is highly amused* I think I have to read that fic to, just for the hell of it. Snarky vampires? I am SOOO there! X-D

Tomorrow [livejournal.com profile] peting73 goes back to work after his long LOOOOONG vacation (5 weeks), so it'll be just me and Alexandra alone again. I think I'll take her to the library. We need to change up the picture books here anyway. :-) Plus she broke a cookbook I borrowed earlier, so I need to... probably get a bill for that. :-P If I can't talk my way out of it. And I need to get an appointment to cut my hair at the hairdresser downtown.

At least I have some sort of plan to entertain her tomorrow. And me. *grin*

Also, one of my prompts have been picked up on the FQF! :-D YAY! Billstav and sillyness, plus hopefully sexyness. Dude. I R happy. Glad to see so many prompts and so many picked up already! It'll be awesome, I am sure!

Alexandra has only one sun-hat she got from her paternal grandma and it is WAY to big... and now summer is here, so she needed a new one. Downtown me and Alexandra went, leaving Peting at home (he had an unexpected day off). Was supposed to do three more errands, four in total. Unfortunately, I forgot her food and her water-bottle, so we only managed to buy her a summer hat and say HI to a twitter-friend (Wobworld) that live here too before we had to go home.

So two errands not done. Which included grocery shopping for today. Fuck. So home I went, feed Alexandra, hung up the last of the laundry that Peting had been a doll and taken care off, almost forgetting my phone, and then downtown I went again.

Went to check up an alternative and cheaper way to pay for my phone... but I'd forgotten my mobile-phone in the car. *head-desk* Gladly the guy at the store could help me anyway. Turns out, I couldn't get anything cheaper yet. At least not in about two months. So there's that.

And I ran into my best friend Spicehobbit and that ALWAYS brightens my day! :-D

Also, my fanfic project of DOOM is going quite well... I never EVER thought I would be able to keep this up... and now I've done it for almost 5 months! o.O I am, quite honestly, impressed by myself. It'll be fun to see how it all looks come the end of the year. :-)

Lastly, this damn spring/summer-cold can just go die now, KTHXPLX... :-P

Let's see if I can keep this updating business up... *lol*

A HUGE sharing post to be enjoyed by one and all!

I have a bunch of stuff to share right now, so... have a sharing post! Filled with, hopefully, stuff that'll be amusing, interesting, thought-provoking or... just plain old fun. :-)

I'll start off with a swedish link for those swedes and/or scandinavians that might read this place. :-) A link about how tough girls who love horses REALLY are... written by a man and discussing the difference between the so called macho-hobbies that boys usually do and what it really takes to care for a horse and ride it to...
Häst-tjejer VS Macho-män
(Google-translate link that is so, so... but understandable in english, right HERE!, let me know if some words do not make sense.)

The comments on that article are pretty awesome to, with some brilliant stories. :-)

Another swedish link, since I sat laughing at this an entire evening when reading it. X-D And this link is VERY NSFW! The name says it all really: Telefonhoran / Phonehooker. It is a woman who worked on a hotline, talking sex with guys who paid for her time. And in this blogg she put up examples of what kind of phone-calls and costumers she had. And dude... DUDE! X-D The people she had to talk to! Some men, I mean... Really? SEIROUSLY??? X-D I could do this. EASILY! *laughs*
Telefonhorans Blogg
Google translate link that is so, so... but again somewhat understandable in english right HERE. If you need help with words or sentances, ask me!)

Fun , eh? X-D Onwards!

Some more fun! This was hilerious, and I laughed my ass off watching this vid! These two guys are apparently vid-bloggers and good friends... and again, apparently, they have a fan-following... that writes M/M fanfiction about them. And they found said fanfiction and are in this vid reading it aloud! It cracked me up. SO BAD! Just think if any of the TH-boys would do this! X-D Good lord...

Fanfiction comes to life! )

Now tell me you didn't laugh your ass of just now watching that... ;-) X-D They are really getting into it, aren't they? X-D

To keep on the gay side of life... well, at least when it comes to all sorts of fiction! Here's a great little article/blogg-post/what have you about how awesome it really is that there are a lot of women out there that write about gay-romance! :-D It is a great piece of reading, since it goes from how did I get into this? And how do I work it now? :-D I loved reading it anyway!
The face of Gay

Next is a vid that will make sure you don't need drugs.. *lol* Watching this and doing exactly as it tells you to will make you allucinate! I am not even joking. My walls were moving for a couple of seconds when I tried it... I didn't believe it would work, but dude. It did. Pretty cool!

Trippy - this video will make you hallucinate! )

Then another awesome thing I stumbled upon the other day. I think I found a new band to fangirl! *lol* This band, The Mini Band, is really really awesome! The oldest member is 12 years old... A few years ago they made a vid where they played the song Enter Sandman by Metallica that went viral on YouTube (when they were 8-10 years old). So viral, in fact, that Metallica themselves saw it... and made a video-message for them kids. How cool is THAT??? :-D

Enter Sandman - The vid that went viral and Metallica saw... )

The video message from Metallica to The Mini Band! )

Those kids probably peed their pants when their idols actually sent them a message! :-D So awesome! Here's them kids website, btw! Well worth a checkout, since they are now writing and recording THEIR OWN MUSIC! Did I mention the oldest one is currently 12 years old? Yeah, just... WOW...
The Mini Band!

Talking of bands, let's fangirl a bit over Tokio Hotel! Or well... laugh at these AWESOME badly drawn fanart! X-D And yes. They are badly drawn. (Stick-figures.) And yes, they are awesome! (Such a wonderful sense of humor!) And yes, you can send them a message on Tumblr asking for a drawing! :-D
I SURE DID!!! And after that, I THANKED THEM! As one should. ;-) They seem to be a fun bunch, and I do wholeheartedly recommend this Tumblr!
Badly Drawn Tokio Hotel!

Now to get a lil serious... After recent events, it is easy to lose faith in humanity. But we have to remember there are some really awesome people around to! As this list shows! Really, those people mentioned rock SO HARD!
20 images that will restore your faith in humanity

Also, as most of you probably know, I really REALLY hate Twilight with a burning passion! I do... And 50 Shades of Grey is just worse, since it is a badly written Twilight fanfiction that made everything that made me hate Twilight even worse. It is THAT bad... And still there are those out there that say that Christian Grey (Edward Cullen copy, and the so called white knight and romantic lead of the book) is the best man ever and eveyrone should strive to get such a man.

Excuse me while I throw up.

This is the reason why we whould not strive for such a man. Warning for triggery subjects. I kid you not.

Need more evidence that 50 Shades is about an abusive relationship?!

It is scary what kids read these days sometimes...

And while we are on the subject, this is BRILLIANTLY written and shows the difference on how women and men is portrayed in the media. I loved it. Read it and give it a good think-through.

Jon Hamm Needs To Stop Dressing Like a Total Slut

Also, remember THIS VID that pretty much went viral... well, almost. And is damn impressive, I won't lie... Why do I get the feeling it was only made to draw attention and as a commercial vid for THIS website selling a yoga-product? Might be because the damn vid appears and is mentioned all over the site, pretty much! :-/ Really put a downer on something that impressive, don't it? Bet they got a lot of costumers when said vid went viral. :-P

Anyway, sorry to end on a bit of a downer-note, but it just happened that way. Onwards with life, eh?

*does just that*

MIA!

I AM NOT DEAD! I swear!

Neither is anyone else in this nerdy household.

Even if [livejournal.com profile] peting73 almost ended up in the doghouse again... Yeah, we were sick this weekend. Again. First Alexandra. She got her first two teeth the other day. (YAY!) And then she started puking. (Crap.) And not many hours later, so did [livejournal.com profile] peting73. And after midnight, so did I. FUN TIMES! Not. So since the only one that got any sleep was Alexandra, we called in the cavalry, that is... My MIL. Because she is awesome and came over and took care of Alexandra A WHOLE DAY so both me and [livejournal.com profile] peting73 could sleep and heal in peace. Thank gawd for that.

Right, so that was this weekend. I know I've been MIA like fuck. Reason? Well, apart from being sick, I've just kept busy. I don't have that many hours on the computer. And since Alexandra got her teeth, well... She just don't wanna sleep. She don't wanna eat. And she pukes in the evenings. I am worried, and when I am worried I try to relax during the evenings with fanfic.

So I do that, read fanfic. When really, I should try to read up on my F-list. I am so behind it is ridiculous. And I do so very much apologize for that. If there is anyone that wants to know? I have NO IDEA how I'll get caught up. None. I mean, even if I spend ALL MY TIME reading my f-list, I don't know when or if I'll get caught up. And sometimes I'd like to do other things on my computer to. I know, shocking. *sigh*

And then the Georg FQF will be posted... Although I doubt that will push me to far behind, since not many prompts has been picked up. Unsurprisingly. So maybe I won't be pushed back to far.

As long as I don't get sick again... *crosses fingers* I bet it is Alexandra that keeps dragging those germs home... *sigh*

I was planning to get a photo of my tattoo to post today, but alas... That hasn't happened yet. We're going to visit my brother on Sunday (hopefully) and maybe he can help us take a good photo of it with [livejournal.com profile] peting73s brilliant camera... and so you can see how awesome our tattoos look next to each other to. It is almost fully healed now. So glorious. Hard to not show it off, so when I was at the library last with Alexandra I talked to the librarians there that I know, and they to found it absolutely gorgeous and said such a tattoo would most likely NOT hold me back when looking for a job as a librarian. At least not in this town. Felt WONDERFUL to hear! :-D

My brother came to visit a week or two ago to with his kids and also my mom. That was AWESOME! :-D So much fun! I love his kids, they are SO clever, it is scary. I am (apparently) the cool aunt with the cool computer and all stuff, so they got help to start playing kid games online on our computers. His daughter is six, and his soon four. And they manage perfectly on their own (we just supervised from afar, so they didn't get into anything not very kid-friendly... it is OUR computers after all...). Tilda, his daughter six years old, manage to find kid games on Google on her own and to help her brother to! She hasn't even started school yet! Geezes... I am not sure if I look forward to or fear the fact that Alexandra will most likely be even worse when she grows up...

Talking of using your computer, I haven't used it very wisely some time now. I had this pile of papers on my desk. My "to-do-pile". Well. STUPID ME! I had a bunch of bills in it. And I forgot about them. Out of sight, out of mind, right? Fuck. So when I finally sat down to take care of the mess (that the cats have used as a bed), most of them were over-due, and will therefor cost more. IDIOTIC! I mean, it ain't as if we are starving here, but we aren't exactly swimming in money either. SO STUPID! *head-desk*

Also, [livejournal.com profile] spicehobbit, my dear best friend, is a horrible enabler. And should be spanked. Because not only is she a Downton Abbey fan, and has all the seasons on DVD... she threw them at me and promptly told me to watch them. So I did. Damn. It is a very good show! But then again, anything with Maggie Smith in it is bound to be glorious. And then... Then the little minx found another fangirl at her work. And considering the fact [livejournal.com profile] spicehobbit works as a cleaning lady at the hospital, well... I bet cleaning those boring corridors got a whole lot more fun! Because now those two walk around discussing Supernatural together! X-D And [livejournal.com profile] spicehobbit got to borrow the whole series from her workmate, one season at a time! So now we watch the first two and the last two episodes together, while we rush through the rest on our own, one of us at a time. *lol* So currently we are at season 3. I have watched all of it EXCEPT the last two episodes (NO SPOILERS!). It is a really good show, but it should have the under-title ANGST! *lol* So far, so good. We'll work our way through the rest of the series to, I am sure. :-)

I don't even know what I've been doing and why I haven't been posting... I just know that I've been all over the place lately. *sigh* As if this post didn't prove that. *lol*

Over and out. For now. *HUGS EVERYONE*

Tattoos! And life...

Can't wait for tomorrow! :-D It'll be awesome! And somewhat interesting what with Alexandra with us...

Because tomorrow me and [livejournal.com profile] peting73 will get our tattoos! And they'll be the same! I know where I am going to have mine... Not sure if [livejournal.com profile] peting73 will have his at the same spot on him... But we'll see! And it is connected to Alexandra to! Oh, it'll be so awesome!

Having a baby at a tattoo-studio though for several hours will be an interesting experience. *lol* I'll make sure to pack plenty food and diapers... plus some toys. And we'll be fine, I hope. ;-)

Also, someone needs to stop me from waisting what little time and internet I have on reading fanfic. Dude. I read so much fanfic these days! o.O

I think it is because since we changed our modem (like the company wanted) the interent is nearly none-existant... Strangely, Tokio Hotel Fiction still works sorta fine. O.o So I read fic. What is even more troublesome is that our phone went belly up on us and died. NOT AMUSED! And it was fairly new to. WTH? Very annoying. And it all happened after we'd changed that modem. Gotta check up on that. I mean, people are trying to call us! *sigh*

But enough of that!

Tomorrow: TATTOOS!!! :-D *excited*
