My body is dumb.

Feeling loads better. I still sound weird when I breath, but I don't feel like I have to work for every breath anymore. YAY! I can actually breath properly! And without taking much meds.

I did go out on an errand today to pick up some meds, just to see how my breathing works outside. And it worked moderately well.

So, I decided to go to work tomorrow. And Mr P is kind enough to drive both Alexandra to daycare and me to work, so YAY! That will help enormously to make sure my breathing keeps behaving. :-)

It's interesting with me getting colds before I was pregnancy and after my pregnancy...

Before my pregnancy I got a cold, my nose was stuffed for a day or two, and then I got a HORRIBLY cough that would last a week... or more. And then that was it.

Then I got pregnant with Alexandra and my body got NUTS!!!

Not only did it decide that I should be sensitive/lightly allergic to... animals. AKA, my cats. YOU KIDDING!?!??!?!? I've been living with cats my ENTIRE LIFE!!! Anyhow, my own cats I can stand well, so that is good.

AND! When I get a cold it follows the same pattern as before. Stuffy nose a day ro two. Then a HORRIBLE cough. With an added bonus. I have a hrad time getting a proper breath and I rattle and wheeze with EVERY breath I take. Loudly. Fun. I varies how long this lasts. The cough lasts longer these days though. *sigh*

This time that rattling and wheezing has lasted long. Since Monday, actually. It's still there, but not as much. It was REALLY bad Tusday and yesterday. And I had such a trouble taking a good breath to. It was long ago it was this bad, to be honest. I woke up two nights in a row from coughing and wheezing. *SIGH*

Now though I 'just' have the cough and a bit of an ache in my troath. It doesn't rattle and wheeze that bad anymore. Mr P can't hear it that well now. He could before. Clearly.

Anyway. Work tomorrow. We'll see how it goes. :-)

Sick as a dog... and work-woes...

Was sick last week with a fever. Nearly all week. Left work at lunch Tuesday and then stayed home all week. Alexandra was a dollface and gave mom the germ she'd battled the week before that. You gotta love kids.

So I was home with a fever for three days which totally knocked me out. I might not have had a fever for the rest of the week, but holy shit I was knocked out anyway. Thank heavens you're still allowed to leave your kid at the daycare centre during the day when you're sick. It's government run, so there's a bit of rules to follow. But yeah. I let Alexandra have a sleepin the days I was home though, and then I left her there before I went home and litterary collapsed on the couch.

Watched two movies while I was sick, Warm bodies (that was weird and midly amusing) and the remake of Robocop (surprisingly good, also YAY Joel Kinnaman!).

So basically I was of no use last week. No fever Sunday and I had my energy back, so I went to work yesterday. Which was fine apart from my clogged up ears, but that happens when you have been sick with fever and a cold. Fine most of today to... until my right ear ended up even MORE clogged up. Felt kinda like when you've been in a pool swimming to long, you know? And it hurts to and I can hardly hear anything on that ear. :-/ REALLY sucks!

Of course, after my ear ended up all weird, a whole class of students invaded the library. And after that, some obnoxious kids came over to. I ended up being called a lot of not so nice words. And I was accused of being a member of the swedish nationalist party (SD) and of being a racist. Really, boys? You're 15 years old. Grow the fuck up and listen to what people are saying before jumping to conclusions. And all that discussions and fight just because I wanted to know one of the kids names so I could lend him a book. But apparently telling me what your name is when asked means I'm a racist. *shakes head* Kids of today.

Another downer was that Tashés birthday came around the other day. I still think about her and wonder what if, what if, what if... I think I'll always wonder that. And I'm not sure I'll get any more news from her room-mate or about her son. Which kinda guts me, but there's nothing I can do.

She would have been 31 years old 28th of August.

I miss you, Tashé. So damn much. I hope, wherever you are, that you know that.

This weekend... and the one that will follow...

This day and this weekend, I tell ya'.... Ugh...

It all started on Friday, really. During Thursday me and Alexandra had been out walking in the pouring rain, and apparently that was not a good idea for me... Alexandra was fine! No worries there. But to me it was not so fine...

Because I got a cold. And not just any cold. But the cold from Hell...

I haven't been that knocked out from a cold before, I am not even joking. [livejournal.com profile] peting73 was a doll all weekend and took full responsibility for Alexandra so I could relax and try to heal up.

And I got it all.Stuffed nose. Stuffed throat. Stuffed ears... Stuffed everywhere!

And then on Sunday? I couldn't breath properly. Not even joking. It was really heavy and tough to get a breath. :-/

Now a wise person would have gone to the ER right away, right? Well. I am not so very smart. I am my fathers daughter. Eh... It'll pass. But it didn't. And at 2pm I gave up, and called [livejournal.com profile] petingt73 to get the car home (he was at a park with Alexandra) so I could go to the ER.

Did so. Stressed place that. I got a special inhaler thing there and it cleared it up. Almost, but I figured hey! I can BREATH! X-D So I left and got home with a stop to the drugstore to get more of the inhaler, since I got a recipe for it. :-)

Great right? Well not. Because after I'd been home for... an hour, maybe? It got back. I had trouble breathing again! So I used the inhaler I now had at home. Only worked for a min or so. I know I took it to much, four times in just an afternoon, but... I really really didn't wanna go back to the ER. Instead I went to bed. But as soon as I put my head on the pillow, my throat pretty much closed up. o.O Or so it felt like.

Yay. Back to the ER I went! And now, since I'd sorta overdosed on the inhaler I had at home, they couldn't give me the good stuff. Instead they gave me a ton of other stuff... and nothing worked! Until 4am in the morning, when finally enough time had passed and they could give me that thing again. I COULD BREATH! OMG! Such a feeling... They kept me there a few hours more for observation, threatening to keep me for a few days (over Midsummer? OH HELL NO!). But at 10:30am in the morning... I could FINALLY go home! I had even slept some! :-)

Poor [livejournal.com profile] peting73 though. He stayed up until 4am Monday morning worried about me... Then had to get up at 5am and call his workmate to tell his mate he would not come in to work that day... and then Alexandra woke up at 6am... Ready for a new day!

To say he collapsed when I got home would be an understatement. :-P So we just lazed around all Monday pretty much. Doctors orders: Eat five of these pills each day for five days, use your inhaler four times a day for six days, drink plenty tea and water and RELAX! Oh, and those pills give you energy so take them all in the morning... And did we mention relax? *lol*

So that's what I did during Monday..

Fast forward to today, Tuesday.

Where I definitely did NOT follow the Doctors orders... o.O

Watch this:

Alexandra woke up at 6:15am, of course... Not all bad, since I had to start laundry at 7am sharp. So up we went, and got new diaper and both of us dressed. Sorted laundry (A LOT!) and found the baby carrier so I could carry all the laundry and Alexandra down stairs to the basement where our laundry room is. (Alexandra who now weighs about 9 kilos, I might add... HEAVY!) Got down stairs just in time and started two loads of laundry, carried Alexandra up stairs and got morning porridge in her... or so I thought since she was in a MOOD and threw it around, so she only got half if it in her belly. Then we went downstairs to the basement, this time carrying the diaper bag and Alexandra and changed the loads and got the clean stuff in the drier. Then we went to Open Preschool that had their last day today before summer vacations and all that + Midsummer celebration for kids all ages. So we got to our usual bus-stop. Just to find out the quick bus is canceled during summer. Crap. So another buss and off we go.

At this point, it's only 9am.

We got to the Midsummer celebration just in time! Got a message from [livejournal.com profile] peting73 saying he might get home early from work since he is not totally OK. So I texted him back telling him all the stuff I'd been doing in the morning, sorta proud!

Got back kinda Oh woe is me, I can not be sick, everything is always worse for you, sorry I might destroy our midsummer-vacation-trip-thing, since I just about puked during breakfast-break at work...

Me: *FACE-PALM!*

So I called him up and we dealt with misunderstanding.

Onwards.

Got nice strawberries and ice cream at the Midsummer-celebration at Open Preschool and then we went home!

Dealt with laundry so everything was hanging up to get dry or in the dryer.

Up to the apartment and getting more food in Alexandra. Then [livejournal.com profile] peting73 came home, went straight to bed, still in a mood and not feeling to great.

Took a seat in the couch. Alexandra asleep for two hours (!).

Down to get the laundry. A bit late, so the next person is already there, but she was fine with me being late. Lovely woman!

Folded and got all the laundry ready and then carried all that plus Alexandra in the baby carrier upstairs! (PHEW!)

It's 4pm at this point.

[livejournal.com profile] peting73 all mopey, food what, don't wanna cook don't wanna do anything...

So I got all the flowers drenched in water so they'll be fine while we are gone and then set to preparing dinner while I told [livejournal.com profile] peting73 to go shop baby-food since we'll need it during our trip. I can't cook baby-food for Alexandra then.

5pm I feed Alexandra and 5:30pm [livejournal.com profile] peting73 comes home. Now annoyed he didn't get food BEFORE going grocery shopping. *FACE-PALM!* He is still feeling sick. He goes to lay on the couch after dinner. Me I deal with Alexandra and trying to get all the clothes that I'd folded put away.

Success with half of it! Then time to get Alexandra a bath so she'll be clean and nice for trip. [livejournal.com profile] peting73 still on couch slightly sick don't wanna...

Right! Me do! And does so successfully at 6:30pm. Alexandra loves it! So she gets a long bath and then her pajamas on + diaper and then she sits in [livejournal.com profile] peting73's lap a bit while I prepare her evening porridge. She eats well, but is very tired. [livejournal.com profile] peting73 still on couch. Now asleep. AGAIN!

Nature calls for me just when Alexandra is done, prompting a HUGE bout of crying from Miss [livejournal.com profile] mini_viking waking [livejournal.com profile] peting73 up so he deals with her for a bit until I can again. I take Alexandra with me and let her fall asleep in my lap and take a breather.

PHEW!

What a day!

And tomorrow? Tomorrow we are finally going on that trip! :-D Because now [livejournal.com profile] peting73 is fine. :-) Whatever sickness he got it passed during the day, so this evening? Fine. So there will be a trip tomorrow.

Plan is set and will go as follow...
  • Tomorrow: Drive to my aunts for the HUGE family gathering / Pre-Midsummer party she arranges every single year! There'll be around 25-30 people there or so, all of us related in one way or another to each other or married into the family. :-) (2 hour drive.)

  • Then drive on for 3 hours more to a small city where we'll stay at the main hotel and sleep.

  • 21st, Midsummer Eve: We'll get up when Alexandra wakes up and drive on towards [livejournal.com profile] peting73s best friend for another... Maybe 4 hour drive or so? And then celebrate Midsummer's Eve with him and his family and some more friends! We'll sleep at theirs that night.

  • 22nd, Midsummer Day: We'll spend some more time with [livejournal.com profile] peting73s best friend and his family, before we leave. Drive for about 4 hours or so and then stay in another city this time and stay at one of their hotels and spend the night there.

  • 23ed: Wake up with Alexandra. Get ready and drive home the last 4 hours on the road...

It'll be an interesting experience for sure to make such a huge trip with Alexandra... But we've prepared as much as possible, so I am quite confident it'll be fine. She don't mind going in the car, and I'll bring toys and such for her to play with, not to mention plenty food and water. :-) So I am quite hopefull for the trip. And it'll be great to meet everyone of course! :-D

Right. I should go to bed. It's quite the day we have ahead of us tomorrow!

HAVE A GREAT MIDSUMMER IF YOU CELEBRATE IT, PEOPLE!

Smut, life, spring-cleaning, thoughts on cleaning, more fandom stuff... = Life.

Gotta say, doing these smut-challenges works out very well. :-) I check what the next challenge is, and then I walk around and think on it during the day when taking care of Alexandra and just every day stuff... The thought matures and then during the evening/night I write it down quite quickly. I am having fun! Who thought writing would be fun for me, eh? At least with these I don't have to bother with plots. I suck at plots. I really really do. :-P

Apart from that, life just... moves on really. We've gotten sick (again) me, Alexandra and [livejournal.com profile] peting73. Not so badly this time, but annoying none the less. We've ended up with a really sucky cold all three of us. Coughing, sniffling the works. Alexandra even had a fewer one day. :-P Us two adults didn't have that, but... Yeah. [livejournal.com profile] peting73 sounds like he's been living on whiskey and cigars for his whole life... What a voice the man got over night! o.O Me I am sneezing constantly with a drippy nose. FUN TIMES! Alexandra both coughs and sneezes. And HATE it when I try helping her with her nose using the nasal aspirator NoseFrida. It is very VERY effective and sure helps her so she breaths more freely, but when I use it she screams bloody murder, and I feel like a horrible mom. :-P I hope I'll be forgiven once she is old enough to actually blow her nose herself...

This whole thing has kept us home though. No sing-a-longs at the library, no Open Preschool and no Baby Swimming class. Which is both good and bad. I mean, it is a bit boring for Alexandra perhaps to not be around other kids. She seems happy enough though talking to her toys... AND! Good part! I've managed to spring clean the ENTIRE apartment! o.O And that includes cleaning ALL THE WINDOWS! I am just... shocked.

Now, I hate cleaning with a passion, but lately I've started to follow the emails and reading on the website FlyLady... Now, the website might look a wee bit silly and all, but much of what it says there is making sense. I know I've been one of those that wants everything "perfect" because mom did it just so, then I have to as well, dammit! And then I can't make it and then I start to think stupid things about myself and my cleaning abilities. :-P But reading the daily emails really start to make a dent in my thinking. I don't have to be perfect. I don't have to be my mom when cleaning. Doing it differently is not a bad thing. Etc, etc... And you know? When I did my spring-cleaning this time it went SO MUCH FASTER then usual! Mostly because I changed my way of thinking. I am kinda surprised.

The only bad thing with that site and their emails is all the God this and God that, bless this and bless that, pray for this and pray for that and such things... I am an atheist, so that just don't mean anything to me really... and what about those of other fates? *grump* Anyway, I just skip all the religious parts in the emails and on the site, and focus on the good stuff. Which there is a lot of to. :-)

So cleaning is slowly, ever so slowly turning into less of a guilty negative thing for me and slowly, slowly turning into something close to fun. Who'd have thought?

Back to fandom stuff.

Can we all just take a deep sigh of RELIEF that there is no more Musical March Madness? I mean, OMG the drama and the fail and the negativity and I don't even know what... *head-desk*

I mean, sure... I didn't vote that much (OMG! BAD FAN MOMENT!), and yeah... To bad we didn't get to the final, but really... I would be just as happy if Tokio Hotel never ever ended up in that stupid competition again.

I'll just sit here and focus on the good part in the fandom instead. Like the G's actually showing them selfs on Twitter and on Facebook (GUSTAV! YOU ARE GLORIOUS! AND GEORG! YOU NEED A MUSCLE-CAR NOW TO MATCH YOUR HAIR!) and the twins being silly and almost as awesome on that silly DSDS show. :-) It is good to be a TH fan these days. (At least most of the time...)

Also, I need update a shitload of photos to Alexandras LJ one of these days... not to mention getting a photo of our tattoos, dammit. It is way overdue. :-P

Over and out!

OK. WTH body? o.O (Warning, bodily functions talking here...)

I don't know what is going on with my body, but geez...

Yep. If you follow me on Twitter, you know it already, but I had one of those fun nights last night. That is, me bucket and toilette... All night. >.< Ugh...

I think I got this bug from Alexandra. We were alone Saturday night me and Alexandra, since it was [livejournal.com profile] peting73s turn to go to the LARP. We had a good time, and she was a really good girl. Until the evening...

First she threw up while I was feeding her her evening porridge, and then she threw up in her bed in the middle of the night around 1am. (And wasn't that fun, having to clean out both the bed and the baby and then try to get her to sleep again...) I know that babies can get a bit upset in their stomachs when they get teeth, and well... Alexandra is just in that age where she is getting her teeth. The two front teeth in the bottom is half-way emerged, so I guess it is the two front teeth in the top of her jaw that is giving her grief right now.

I didn't think much about it... but then last night, I felt weird and then from around 10pm in the evening I had my fun in the bathroom about every half hour to an hour... Bah!

That means I've had an upset stomach THREE TIMES in about two months!

ENOUGH IS ENOUGH, GAWD DAMMIT!

And Alexandra is happy as pie, of course. Ones she is done throwing up, she is as active as ever and has no problems what so ever. I wish I could work like that to. *sigh*

Thank gawd [livejournal.com profile] peting73 stayed home from work today to take care of Alexandra so I could rest.

At least now, in the evening, I am back to myself. So I say a nice long night, and I'll be fit for fight again.

No more now though, kthxplx?

MIA!

I AM NOT DEAD! I swear!

Neither is anyone else in this nerdy household.

Even if [livejournal.com profile] peting73 almost ended up in the doghouse again... Yeah, we were sick this weekend. Again. First Alexandra. She got her first two teeth the other day. (YAY!) And then she started puking. (Crap.) And not many hours later, so did [livejournal.com profile] peting73. And after midnight, so did I. FUN TIMES! Not. So since the only one that got any sleep was Alexandra, we called in the cavalry, that is... My MIL. Because she is awesome and came over and took care of Alexandra A WHOLE DAY so both me and [livejournal.com profile] peting73 could sleep and heal in peace. Thank gawd for that.

Right, so that was this weekend. I know I've been MIA like fuck. Reason? Well, apart from being sick, I've just kept busy. I don't have that many hours on the computer. And since Alexandra got her teeth, well... She just don't wanna sleep. She don't wanna eat. And she pukes in the evenings. I am worried, and when I am worried I try to relax during the evenings with fanfic.

So I do that, read fanfic. When really, I should try to read up on my F-list. I am so behind it is ridiculous. And I do so very much apologize for that. If there is anyone that wants to know? I have NO IDEA how I'll get caught up. None. I mean, even if I spend ALL MY TIME reading my f-list, I don't know when or if I'll get caught up. And sometimes I'd like to do other things on my computer to. I know, shocking. *sigh*

And then the Georg FQF will be posted... Although I doubt that will push me to far behind, since not many prompts has been picked up. Unsurprisingly. So maybe I won't be pushed back to far.

As long as I don't get sick again... *crosses fingers* I bet it is Alexandra that keeps dragging those germs home... *sigh*

I was planning to get a photo of my tattoo to post today, but alas... That hasn't happened yet. We're going to visit my brother on Sunday (hopefully) and maybe he can help us take a good photo of it with [livejournal.com profile] peting73s brilliant camera... and so you can see how awesome our tattoos look next to each other to. It is almost fully healed now. So glorious. Hard to not show it off, so when I was at the library last with Alexandra I talked to the librarians there that I know, and they to found it absolutely gorgeous and said such a tattoo would most likely NOT hold me back when looking for a job as a librarian. At least not in this town. Felt WONDERFUL to hear! :-D

My brother came to visit a week or two ago to with his kids and also my mom. That was AWESOME! :-D So much fun! I love his kids, they are SO clever, it is scary. I am (apparently) the cool aunt with the cool computer and all stuff, so they got help to start playing kid games online on our computers. His daughter is six, and his soon four. And they manage perfectly on their own (we just supervised from afar, so they didn't get into anything not very kid-friendly... it is OUR computers after all...). Tilda, his daughter six years old, manage to find kid games on Google on her own and to help her brother to! She hasn't even started school yet! Geezes... I am not sure if I look forward to or fear the fact that Alexandra will most likely be even worse when she grows up...

Talking of using your computer, I haven't used it very wisely some time now. I had this pile of papers on my desk. My "to-do-pile". Well. STUPID ME! I had a bunch of bills in it. And I forgot about them. Out of sight, out of mind, right? Fuck. So when I finally sat down to take care of the mess (that the cats have used as a bed), most of them were over-due, and will therefor cost more. IDIOTIC! I mean, it ain't as if we are starving here, but we aren't exactly swimming in money either. SO STUPID! *head-desk*

Also, [livejournal.com profile] spicehobbit, my dear best friend, is a horrible enabler. And should be spanked. Because not only is she a Downton Abbey fan, and has all the seasons on DVD... she threw them at me and promptly told me to watch them. So I did. Damn. It is a very good show! But then again, anything with Maggie Smith in it is bound to be glorious. And then... Then the little minx found another fangirl at her work. And considering the fact [livejournal.com profile] spicehobbit works as a cleaning lady at the hospital, well... I bet cleaning those boring corridors got a whole lot more fun! Because now those two walk around discussing Supernatural together! X-D And [livejournal.com profile] spicehobbit got to borrow the whole series from her workmate, one season at a time! So now we watch the first two and the last two episodes together, while we rush through the rest on our own, one of us at a time. *lol* So currently we are at season 3. I have watched all of it EXCEPT the last two episodes (NO SPOILERS!). It is a really good show, but it should have the under-title ANGST! *lol* So far, so good. We'll work our way through the rest of the series to, I am sure. :-)

I don't even know what I've been doing and why I haven't been posting... I just know that I've been all over the place lately. *sigh* As if this post didn't prove that. *lol*

Over and out. For now. *HUGS EVERYONE*

Week from HELL! And baptism, finally...

I AM ALIVE!

Oh geezes what a week... o.O

And when I say I am alive, I say barely... Or at least that's how it feels like. Christ on a bike... Both me and [livejournal.com profile] peting73 has been sick. Like, REALLY sick... I've been feeling ill, wanting to puke, weak body, fever... you name it... for an entire week.

And, of course, [livejournal.com profile] peting73 got it to. Me? Sleep? HA HA HA HA HA HA! No. I got TWO whole sleep in mornings this week while we've been sick. TWO! Count them. TWO!!!

Of course, taking care of Alexandra has been a priority, but you know... I thought we were two about that. Every morning when she has woken up (around 7am or before), I've gotten from [livejournal.com profile] peting73s corner of the bed... "I'd rather not..." EVERY TIME! (Well, except those two mornings.) Dude, I'll strangle anyone using those words now, I swear... We had a fight about it at 5am in the morning when Alexandra had an early morning one day. All he wants to do when not feeling any good is lay flat on his back... "hen we got better, we talked it out. Alexandra is not just my responsibility. She is his daughter to. If we're both sick, we gotta take turns. One more round like this, and I don't know what I'll do. I swear...

On a happier note, on the 19th of January we baptised Alexandra! :-)

Alexandra Yvonne Linnea... :-D Beautiful names, right? My mom has Linnea as a middlename, and [livejournal.com profile] peting73s mom has Yvonne as a middlename and well... Since they both ROCK as moms AND as grandmoms and both will mean TONS to Alexandra since both her grandfathers are out of the picture... it felt like a good idea. :-) They were both quite touched by it to. :-)

Here's a photo of me, [livejournal.com profile] peting73, Alexandra and [livejournal.com profile] spicehobbit at the church. And yes, that is the ancient baptisimal gown that Alexndra has on. :-)

(Click for bigger.)

That lace/tulle is over 100 years old... Scary to think about. But it held together! And Alexandra was really good during the whole thing!

Here's a better photo of that dress. :-) Alexandra in the arms of my best friend and now officially Alexandras godmother [livejournal.com profile] spicehobbit.

(Click for bigger.)

She'll grow past [livejournal.com profile] spicehobbit in no time though! *grins* Both me and [livejournal.com profile] peting73 are very tall, while she is very short... So chances are Alexandra will be very tall to... :-) Time will tell, I suppose. :-D

Now it's time for bed here though. Maybe I'll get better at updating here now, who knows?

Sick as a dog...

Ugh... I am sick as a dog. :-/ Not even joking. Got 39.3 degrees Celsius in fewer right now (102.74 Fahrenheigt), plus coughing, stuff nose and achy body... I haven't been this sick in a LOOOONG time. :-/

And here I had planned this long long post and stuff and just... BLAH! :-/ I feel to weak to take care of Alexandra even. I feel afraid I'll drop her or something, since I don't have my full strength in my arms.

Not to worry. [livejournal.com profile] peting73 is at home taking care of both Alexandra and me. We'll lose some money on it, but really... It is way better this way. :-P

Anyway.

Health and Game of Thrones!

Anyone on my f-list probably think I feel of the face of the earth... or is stuck in the hospital or something.

But I am not! I just got distracted by other stuff. :-P

ANYHOW!

The weekend at moms was both a nightmare and absolutely awesome. Confusing much? I'll explain.

I love visiting my mom. It is always a lot of fun, and all. Getting spoiled by her and all that. ;-) Even more fun this time since quite a few of my huge crazy extended family was going to be there! :-D Wohoo! So that was definitely of the awesome part! Had a lot of fun discussing the weirdest things with my aunt and my uncles wife (those two are INSANE I tell you!). So much awesome right there. :-)

The not so fun part was that my coughing and the cold I got during the week... reached new heights. No really. I coughed and wheezed so much I at times had trouble breathing. Not to mention I wasn't able to sleep properly during the night. And that seriously sucks. :-(

So when we got home Sunday evening, I went to the ER to get a checkup. I got some medication to help with my breathing and sent home, since my lungs were all clear. Thank gawd... It wasn't strep either. And man, did they take A LOT of tests on me. o.O

Then on Tuesday, I visited the local Doc's office not that far from here. She pretty much confirmed what I already guessed. When I get a cold, somehow those germs/bugs seem to think my throat is a very cosy place to be... and I get itchy/achy throat from hell with added cough. *sigh* And apparently right now my body is more open to outside influences and as such I might be a bit sensitive to either jigger/acarian/mite or cats...

FUCK! I can't be oversensitive against my fur-babies! o.O *sob* I hope it'll be sorted out. She took tests and stuff so we'll see I suppose.

During this week I haven't done much. Just relaxed and taken it easy, letting whatever bugs/germs I have in my body do their course so I can be OK. It must have worked, because Tuesday afternoon I finally finally felt so, so much better. OH THE JOY!

Almost all OK now. :-) I still cough a bit, and it sounds terrible. But yeah. So, so much better. Worked yesterday and will work tomorrow again. I think I'll be fine. Been a stubborn one this, but yeah... I am apparently winning this battle. ;-)

Also, also...

Yesterday was Game of Thrones episode 9 out of 10....

*MAYOR FLAIL* WHAT THE HELL??!?!?! NO REALLY!??!?! NEEEEED! DROGOOOO!!! Oh no... No, no, no, no... *sob* That just sucks. Dammit. Mayorly so. I loved those two characters, I really did. :-/

I will give credit to that series though. It takes some balls to kill of the character played by the most famous actor in the series... Poor Sean Bean. I hope he gets to play a character with a happy ending one day. *pats him*

More to update about, like fandom wank stuff and fun fandom stuff and I don't even know what... But I'll take that another day. :-) I have a long day ahead of me tomorrow. Working 10am-1pm, then 3-7pm right after that... Weird hours, I know. But I'll live. :-)

Good gawd... *groans*

Still more or less sick as a dog. Crap. :-/ My throat hurts like a motherfucker. Guh... If you guys thought I had a slightly deep voice in my audio-recordings... you should hear me now... My gawd. My throat hurts really, REALLY bad. Especially when I cough. Or sneeze. Which I more or less do all the time. Fuck. Fuck, fuck, fuck...

Remember this, people. If you cuddle with kids (my brothers kids in this case), you never really know what will happen. :-P

Let's just say it hasn't been that fun to work those few hours I had today and yesterday...

I'll still go to moms tomorrow though. She has her birthday party then, and I haven't visited in a while, so yeah... It is time. :-P Coughing my lungs out or not. We've fixed a simple, but I hope... appreciated gift for her. Doesn't always have to be complicated after all. :-)

On one hand, I look forward to it. I love visiting my mom. On the other hand, I don't... since hey. Cough and such. :-P

Either way, I am sure it'll be one interesting weekend. I hope you guys will have a good one!

A great weekend, a shitty day and also Game of Thrones Episode 8 - Season 1.....

Have just watched Game of Thrones and can I just say....

HOLY SHIT! SHIT KEEPS HITTING THE FAN! THERE IS NO END TO IT!!! *flails*

Also, I really just wanna give Sansa a good hit over her head and a stern talking to. What the HELL is the matter with that girl? All my bets are on Arya. What a cool girl. I hope she'll go far. She and Daenerys.

And poor Sean Bean. He keeps getting roles that never gets a good ending. What is up with that?

Anyhow, Game of Thrones have been the only good thing today. Let me explain.

I had one wonderful weekend. It was Easter, but I didn't really celebrate it. Well, I did visit my brother, since his youngest had his birthday. That boy is all of 3 years old now, and cute as you can be! As is his 5 year old sister. :-) And when visiting, apparently they were in an Auntie KSena mood, since they crawled all over me, wanted to snuggle, wanted me to play with them and wanted me to read them books. So I did just that. I love my brothers kids, they are so, so cute... :-) They were a little sniffly and had a bit of cough, but I didn't think to much off it. I mean, they're kids and you can point to any kid and most have just that. It's a kid thing, I believe.

But apparently this kid-cough thing was contagious. :-/

I've been working quite a bit this week. There is Easter holiday this week, so all schools are closed. Meaning there is a shitton of kids, parents, elderly, child care centers and such visiting the library. AKA a shit ton of people. So they've called in us, me and my friend who also work by the hour there.

It's been fine so far. But today I worked a full day. Something I haven't done in a while. And I've had to deal with SOOOO many complaints and just all around rude people and loud kids and just... GAH! I want to hit something or someone at this point, seriously... Not to mention when I woke up this morning, I had an itchy throat, and lets just say that has only gotten worse. And worse. And then I started to sneeze... and cough some more... and sneeze... *head-desk*

So it's been a bad day today. Only bright spot has been epic Game of Thrones. Seriously.

And, having a bad day, I had a serious craving for Tokio Hotel fanfic. Especially dark-fic. And I found one that was much better then I thought it would be when starting to read it. Definitely an interesting concept taken. And the writer really does get the lovely friendship between all them four boys across, while also pairing them up. Not many readers of that thing, so I hope I can attract more readers for this. It is really worth it to check it out. Especially if you like Torg... ;-)

Angel by Dayast Joy

I do recommend all Torg-fans to check it out. It was WAAAY better then I first thought, and definitely grew on me. *has added to ever growing favorites-list*

Alright, so... I'll definitely go collapse in bed now. Work tomorrow to, but only three hours in the afternoon. AKA, I can sleep in tomorrow. I DO NEED THAT! *staggers off*

Health, books and Game of Thrones...

Weekend: Not been very fun, no. :-P Apparently I got the cold from Hades. *head-desk* It has made me a lil lazy to be honest. :-P Energy on an all time low and all that.

So Thursday I started having cramps... plus coughing my lungs out and sneezing at all times. FUN! Not. :-P And I think I had a little fever to. Seriously. I spent most off Thursday on the couch since I had no energy for ANYTHING. Then Friday, still cramps, coughing, sneezing... Same thing Saturday although... I did feel a lil better be the afternoon though. Most importantly, the cramps went away.

And today, Monday. Not sneezing or coughing even half as much as I used to. THANK YOU!

Worst part was that on Thursday? Well, the library where I am hired by the hour, the big city library, called and wanted me to work. The entire weekend. o.O Since I had pretty much just woken up from my slumber on the couch right when they called, I figured yeah... 3 hours a day... I should be able to fix that even if I am not 100%. Waking up on Friday though... No way. So I called them back, and felt really bad about it to, telling them I couldn't do it. I did feel really, really bad about, because I KNOW they have trouble making sure all information desks are filled as soon as there is a meeting or anyone is missing. So yeah. Felt bad about that. They told me not to, and left it at that. They are really good people there, I gotta say. Love working at that library. Gonna work there tomorrow a few hours since plenty off them are off on a meeting, so they called in me and my friend to work the information desk. :-) Fun, fun! I do like helping visitors/patrons finding books and such.

I have two books myself to pick up to! [livejournal.com profile] peting73s best work-mate J has just discovered fantasy and wanted simple fantasy-reading... Well, [livejournal.com profile] peting73 is more into scifi, so he asked me. Simple and easy to read fun fantasy? My favorite, David Eddings. Easy. I know, I KNOW!!! It is definitely not high fantasy or even that good, but I love LOVE the sense of humor in his books. Especially in his first series: The Belgariad + The Malloreon and The Elenium + The Tamuli. The rest off his books? Kinda sucks. Avoid, avoid. But those series? Very amusing. The Elenium + The Tamuli was the first fantasy books my mom ever got her hands on. She feel head over heels with the main character, and loved the sense of humor to. So after that? She's read more and more fantasy, buying books and creating a lil fantasy-shelf herself. She even read The Hobbit + The Ring Trilogy! And that is NO easy reading, let me tell you! To be honest, I've tried to re-read Tolkiens books, and I can't.... I just... can't. 500 pages to say they walked from point A to point B? Eh... I'll skip, thank you. The story is amazing, but the language in Tolkiens books? SOOOOOOO BORING! Shoot me. :-P

ANYHOW! I am going to pick up book one and two of The Belgariad for [livejournal.com profile] peting73s friend. :-) They are just what he wanted. Easy fantasy reading with a sense of humor. So I hope he'll like them. :-) And that he won't be teased for enjoying them. Because I am. Every time I say I really, really like these books to another fantasy-fan? I get shoot down, like you wouldn't believe. :-/ *grumble, grumble*

Talking off fantasy though! I can't wait until Wednesday when the next part of Game of Thrones show up on TV! :-D I've read a bit more about the series since last, and checked out photos, actor interviews and such.... Carefully though! I don't wanna be spoiled to badly!

And I've found a new favorite. You know me... An old rocker chick... so my heart beats a little harder for those tall dark bad boys with long hair, yeah?

Well... What is Kahl Drogo but a SERIOUS bad boy with hair going down past his ass... We discussed the series a bit me and [livejournal.com profile] spicehobbit... (Yep, she fell for said series to...) and shared links to pics and such over MSN... Then we found this pic:

Dat ass... dat hair... )

Aaaaaaand we both pretty much died... o.O Is it Wednesday yet?

Being sick and also Game of Thrones

Well, dammit... I thought my cold was gonna calm down somewhat. Apparently not.

Spent my night at the ER last night because I couldn't breath properly. That is NOT good... Doc asked me if I'd ever had astma... o.O Since my air pipes pretty much sounded like it. Nope, sire. Never had it. Got meds for it though, and it did the trick. Home at 5am. Collapsed.

And today? My nose has been dripping so much I've had to blow it so many times my skin is raw around that area. :-P And I still cough, even if my breathing is OK now. We'll see how that goes when I go to bed. :-P I have picked up meds for it now though, so no need to go to the ER again.

This is no fun, let me tell you. I hate being sick like this. :-P

Good part today though, was that the TV-show Game of Thrones started on swedish television today! :-D YAY! So I watched the first episode, if a bit hesitantly to be frank, to see what it was all about... And hey, I like Sean Bean. :-)

And it was good. VERY good. :-D I'll be looking forward to more of this, even if the first episode was more about introducing characters (of course, as befit a first episode). I think I am falling a bit for the dwarf though, Tyrion Lannister. And what the heck with all the twincest and incest?!?!?! X-D A TH fan would feel right at home, I swear... Yep, yep... Gonna follow this with great interest. :-)

Cool with the swedish channel they aired it on was that they had a short discussion show right afterwards. Which was surprisingly fun to watch! Really good setup, I'd say.

Anyway, so... Kinda beaten today (not so strange, perhaps), so I am sorry that I am behind on comments and f-list and, well... Everything. :-P I am going to at least TRY and catch up tomorrow!

Now I am going to bed. And hopefully I'll be able to breath properly tonight. :-P

Gawd damn, my nose... and cats.

Oh fuck.... *groan*

I think I am coming down with a bug or flu or something, I don't know... Today has been HORRIBLE! Gawd DAMMIT! Sneezing all day, meaning I have to blow my nose all day... meaning my nose is red and hurt a lil... tender nose. And now, afternoon/evening... a headache just to top it off. WTF, body!!!

Tomorrow... Well, tomorrow I am supposed to go to that birthdayparty... Yeah... The one I kinda don't want to go to. :-/ I DO want to meet up with [livejournal.com profile] astroflammante, [livejournal.com profile] tekiila, [livejournal.com profile] skarvsladden and my other RL old friends that I know will be there... But if I feel like this tomorrow? I don't know... I... just don't know if that is such a great idea to go then, you know? I bet they'll say I got sick because I didn't wanna go, but I swear... I'd much rather be well and meet my friends, then feeling like this, thank you!

One fun thing about today was that our dear darling cats got their yearly shot and checkup at the animal hospital here. :-) The vets there are WONDERFUL! Our cats are indoor cats, so they go a bit crazy when we get them out the door... They are very good about going in their cat carriers. They have one each with soft blankets and old t-shirts in them (that them cats like to sleep on), so they are used to their carriers. So when we put them in the hallway, curious cats wondered what they were doing there and not on their usual spot... and walked straight into a carrier each. X-D Fooled cats are fooled! No complaints, only curious moving around in their carriers when we carried them to the car. And then... THEN! [livejournal.com profile] peting73 started the horrible scary car... And the cats started mewing and growling and sounding ABSOLUTELY miserable... Like we were torturing them or something... Keeping it up until we were at the animal hospital and turned the car off. Then they stopped. Just like that.

The vet was very sweet, checked their body, poked them all over. Said they both were in good health with nice healthy teeth (they are 7 years after all), even if both cats were slightly over-weight. Which we already knew. We got a pair of fat cats. X-D And yeah, we buy food for indoor cats that are made to make sure they don't get to fat. Gawd knows how fat they would have been otherwise... o.O Scary thought. Then our cats got their shots, we got them in their carriers again and got to the car... to hear the torture choir all the way home. X-D

Once home both Skuld and Verdandi got some shrimps, and were told what good cats they were. :-) No idea why, but they almost get high on shrimp, they love it so much! So them cats were soon happy again. :-D

One year more until next trip... :-P

Think I'll go to bed early tonight... I really hope I'll feel better tomorrow. :-P

Discussing comics vs books... and feeling crappy...

Feeling somewhat shitty today. :-/ Ugh. :-P I don't know what my body is on... But my belly hurts a bit and my legs... o.O Weird. And I am tired as fuck. I'll most likely go to bed ridiculously early (for me).

Work today went quite well, actually. Gladly I worked my first hours in the storage with the kids books there, but after that I had to sit in the information desk for four hours. Guh... Not fun when you don't feel to great. Good thing they have comfortable chairs there and it wasn't that many visitors to the library today. One of the guys working there and me talked World of Warcraft while being in the information desk, since there were no visitors that wanted help anyway for a while. Now I think I'll stalk him on WoW.... ;-) He is a family man and a little older then me, but really fun and nice. He thinks it is cool that I am such a nerd.

We also talked about comics and graphic novels and how to incorporate them in the library better. And how to deal with them. An ever on going struggle. Ever since the 1970's / 1980's when there was a HUGE debate about video violence and gaming violence (in Sweden), comics have been looked upon as something bad that should be avoided by the older generation librarians. I'd love to change that, somehow. There are some REALLY good comics being released with regularity today. OK, so not as much in Sweden as in the USA and Japan, but still! Quite a lot! Good quality comics and graphic novels should just as obviously be a part of a library as books and DVD's (as is the case today). It was an interesting talk I had with him, and he thought it was awesome that I wanted to work with teen and young adult books, since not many librarians like to work with that genre. Well, well. :-D

And since we were talking nerdiness, I mentioned the book I'd found that takes a scientific look at fanfiction and all it can mean to writers and readers of the same. It also gives tips and ideas how you can work with fanfiction in schools and in libraries. He was really interested in this! And had never heard about fanfiction, but thought it was really cool and could probably be something to work with in the future.

Guys. After that 15-30 min discussion I was in seventh heaven. Here is one of the librarians that many listen to in the big city library, and he thought my thoughts and ideas were cool and not at all silly. My gosh... o.O He might end up a lower boss to, so... Good thing, good thing... Not to mention he is just a really cool and fun guy. :-D

So despite feeling kinda shitty body-wise, my day ended up pretty nice.

I even went to the city indoor swimming pool / public pool (what is the word to use, anyway?) and swam quite a few laps. [livejournal.com profile] peting73 inspired me the other day, but after feeling the way I did today, maybe it wasn't the smartest thing I could have done. :-P I was soooo knocked out, my legs were shaking when I left the place to go home. No, not smart at all. Probably one of the reasons I need to go to bed crazy early tonight. Not gonna do that again tomorrow, let me tell you. :-P

I am behind as fuck on my f-list, and I want to apologize for that. I am working on getting caught up on you all... I'm just crazy busy these days. :-P Might slow down in the future. We'll see.

More memes!!!! And my throat...

First off, thank you everyone for the advice I have gotten on Twitter and here, and for the concern you've all shown. :-) It gives me the warm fuzzies, it does.

I went to the Doc yesterday and he checked my throat, and since it is not swollen and checking me more, asking questions, he came to the conclusion there was not much that could be done but let it heal itself. No antibiotics. At that moment I was a bit pissed at that, but what could I do? I just sounded like I'd smoked cigars and drunk whiskey for days...

This morning though... it was SO much better! My voice has returned some and it doesn't hurt as much when I swallow anymore, thank gawd... I also was advised to buy a certain kind of coughdrops that has a slight numbing effect. And man... they have helped A LOT! As has the insane amount of honey/tea mix I am constantly drinking. Which still weirds me out. :-P

So I am on the mend! Woot! Tomorrow I'll go back to working. Only four hours at a smaller library and it is in the afternoon, so I can sleep in and everything. :-) Brilliant!

Stubborn bug or whatever it was this, but now it is FINALLY about to give up! Or so it feels like. :-D

Anyway, so memes! :-D

From [livejournal.com profile] das_mervin, the icon-meme that just never gets old... ;-)

1. Reply to this post with "HOMEWORK SUCKS", and I will pick five of your icons.
2. Make a post (including the meme info) and talk about the icons I chose.
3. Other people can then comment to you and make their own posts.
4. This will create a never-ending cycle of icon glee.

The fact I change my icons around so much, we'll see how long these will last... ;-)

1.

I... don't really know how much I need to say about this one. I've had it quite long but it is no wonder really... I love vampires and have been involved in a vampire-LARP for ten years now. I like how these photoshopped fangs don't look THAT photoshopped... And the shiny bloodred lips... It is just so wonderfully vampiric, I just had to have it. :-)
(Icon is made by [livejournal.com profile] pixiegrl_11 @ [livejournal.com profile] wickpixgraphics

2.

Ha ha ha! :-D My Ladyboner icon... It is perfect for those... special fanfics you read, yeah? ;-) I've been following the comic Sinfest ([livejournal.com profile] sinfest_mod) for so, so long now, and it is one of the best online-comics out there, seriously. I highly recommend it. :-) This particular icon is taken from THIS strip. Usually it is one of the main characters (called Slick) who gets a boner at good looking girls, but this time it was 'Nique's turn to get a lady-boner... and I found the icon somewhere, and well... I fell in love with it. Such a nice icon to have. ;-) We've all been there, haven't we girls? ;-)
(Icon is made by [livejournal.com profile] lunylucy, Comic: Sinfest.)

3.

Bill Kaulitz of Tokio Hotel. I think this icon is from their latest trip to Russia, if I am not mistaken. Them boys did quite a bit of promo there, so a lot of photos was released on the net. :-) (I'll never forget Tom and Georg quite literary eyefucking each other...) Bill is not my favorite, but I must admire him for doing his thing no matter what. And at this point fans were all up in arms over his piercings. (He must have quite a few now.) Especially since he got one just like his brother in his lower lip... and has a septum one and a eyebrow one as well. To much? Mayhaps, but I kinda thinks it fits him. So hence the close up icon. :-) And it is such a Bill-thing to have GOLDEN rings... ;-) *smirk*
(Icon is made by [livejournal.com profile] thilia @ [livejournal.com profile] immernochhier.)

4.

Yeah, what else to say? :-) It is true. If you think to much, shit usually happens. Over-thinking = not good. Might be good to remember sometimes. ;-)
(Icon is made by [livejournal.com profile] faiithful @ [livejournal.com profile] seastarcove.)

5.

He he he... Oh, I've found a lot of fun Keep Calm-icons lately, and then... This. :-D Because sometimes there is something that just pisses you off so much you DON'T want to keep calm. Just want to go up all in arms and SLAP THAT BITCH FROM HELL AND BACK!!! You know... ;-) So basically I got this icon for the hell of it... and for those few times I am actually pissed off. ;-) Don't have that many icons to use when I am truly pissed off, but... now I have one. And it made me grin quite wickedly to... ;-) Not much else to say about this one.
(Icon is made by [livejournal.com profile] clumsily @ [livejournal.com profile] seastarcove.)

Aaaaaaand... the next meme! :-D

30 days of me meme... )

Day 16 – Your first kiss

My first kiss? I don't even remember my first kiss. :-P At least not very well. I highly doubt I got any in school, since I was bullied then, and boys mostly liked to make fun off me. So no kisses in school. I don't think I got any in high school either. Ah well. :-) Around my 20's, I got a boyfriend who thought me how to kiss properly (and more...) and he was very good at that... just not at being a boyfriend. :-P

The kiss I remember the best actually, is the one I got from [livejournal.com profile] peting73 that night he was drunk out of his mind, pushed me against the wall (I didn't really mind... ;-) ) and gave me one of those kisses that sends jolts through your body and you can feel all the way down to your toes... Yeah. One of THOSE kisses. ;-) Funny thing is, [livejournal.com profile] peting73 didn't remember he'd given me that kind of kiss that night until I reminded him six months later. *lol* Ah well, it all ended well, didn't it? ;-)

Fanfic, World of Warcraft and THAT meme...

Geezes christ. This is just the second time I have been this emotionally effected by a fanfic. First time was years and YEARS ago when I was quite new to fandoms, new in the Xena-fandom... Before LJ and I just traveled forums and such.... What can it be? More then ten years ago? When I stumbled upon DJ Redhawks story Warlord Metal. You can still read it online, in it's original fanfic-form, but I highly HIGHLY suggest buying the book itself, I really do. It is in my own bookshelf.

To this day I say Warlord Metal is the fanfic that has touched me the most...

But now I have started to read a story that is nibbling in Warlord Metals heels, the story that has held the nr 1 trofé among the fanfics I have read for more then ten years...

King of Kingz by Raiju... I am reading it right now, and I have read 24 chapters out of 111... If it keeps it up like it has... It is going to push Warlord Metal off it's throne. Just saying.

So that's what I've been doing today. That and playing World of Warcraft, thinking of stories for my wonderful bloodelf... I haven't had this much fun playing World of Warcraft in years... (and I've been active in that game ever since December 2005). I am contemplating writing a short story of my current two main characters... *ponders* I'll have to think about that some more.

My throat still hurts like FUCK every time I swallow (not to mention how much it hurts when I cough...). It is NOT fun, let me tell you. I sound like I've been living of whiskey and cigars... I drink insane amounts of tea, which is wearding me out. Just a few days ago, I hated tea. Now it is the only thing that keeps my throat working. No, I haven't been to work today. Nor will I tomorrow. I am so sick of this shit... It's been going on since Friday. Mom called today and said it would probably be a good idea to check with a Doc. [livejournal.com profile] peting73 thinks so to. I suppose I will call them tomorrow. :-P

I also remembered I never finished this meme off, so I figured I should. And since it has been some time ago since I started it, I am now linking to each answer... You know, if you'd like to read them or anything. :-) Yes, I am that bored. :-P Shut up.

Day 15 – Your dreams

My dreams? My dreams are to spend the rest of my life with [livejournal.com profile] peting73. And always and forever have [livejournal.com profile] spicehobbit as my best friend.

The rest? It doesn't matter. If I have those two and my brother with me, I can deal with anything and everything.

Gawd damn throat of mine...

I've been spending today with finding World of Warcraft porn fanart (good gawd, trolls and bloodelfs, just saying o.O)... reading up on the FQF-stories (twincest day, but hey... the stories were good)... making a BIG ass post with Xena-resources and pictures....drinking tea (what is this, I don't even... o.O) and relaxing...

While also losing my voice. :-/ My throat still hurts as soon as I swallow or try to eat something. Except when I drink tea. I don't even like tea! WTH?!?!?! And I have never had a voice like this... wheezing and low... I have to work to get any words out. Again: WTH?!?!?!??!

I have no trouble breathing, but seriously. This IS getting old, body. :-/ Would you stop it, plx? I was supposed to work at the big city library tomorrow and on Tuesday. It is not easy to get hours there, let me tell you so I have been STOKED that I have gotten a foot in there... But working now? I think not. So I had to call them today and tell them. Well, I hardly had to, since as soon as they heard my voice they were all like: OK then! You stay home! I just hope I haven't lost my chances there now. I mean, FUCK! *head-desk*

The big city library has no huge problems getting other people to cover for them... Like me. :-P But the small one I am to work for on Thursday has, so I really fucking hope this will be over by then! Because believe it or not, I am kinda needed on Thursday!!! You hear that body? No more off this shit by Thursday! Got that?

A least some good news. The unemployment fund have granted me more days, so our economy here have improved A WHOLE LOT! :-D YAY! But in the same letter they also asked for more paperwork. WTF? I send so much bureaucratically paperwork there, it is giving me a headache. :-P I have to call them tomorrow (yeah, I know... and talk to them... HA HA! X-/ ) and ask what paper they want now, since they can never quite be clear in their letters. *sigh*

Sore throat and fun stuff...

OK, I've had this on repeat all evening... That can't be healthy... :-P But damn if Eminem ain't hot as all hell in that vid... Guh... o.O

Superman by Eminem... NSFW! )

Yeah... Ehm...

Anyway!

I think I am falling sick, which SUCKS DONKEY BALLS, DAMMIT!!! Because next week I got SOOO many hours on various libraries, it is insane... Well, good but still quite insane. In other words, I don't have TIME to be sick. :-P When my... so called careerer... is actually moving, I get sick. WTF is this? GAH! *slaps body hard* Bah... I have even started to drink TEA?!?!?! What is this, I don't even... I have never enjoyed tea... or honey mixed with water like my dad used to drink when he had a sore throat. But drinking tea WITH honey, apparently works. WTF?! At least it works. My throat feels SO much better. And I am actually slowly starting to enjoy it. [livejournal.com profile] peting73 is going to get a shock when he gets home. :-P

Oh yeah, it is LARP-night tonight, but since I am sick I didn't go there. [livejournal.com profile] peting73 did though. I hope he has fun. :-) His character has become the leader off his clan AND gotten a girlfriend, so he'll definitely be busy! *lol* A young friend off ours is playing the girlfriend and they are SOOOO cute! X-D Especially since she is a really cute (if tall) gothgirl with pink hair and [livejournal.com profile] peting73s character is this really REALLY ugly old punk-rock vamp... X-D (He has even posted photos of his character HERE if you wanna see...) A lot of fun! And hell, since my characters always end up with boyfriends and girlfriends, it was about time that his character got one to! What? Jealousy? None of us knows what that means! Can you eat it? X-D *lol*

So a bit annoyed that I couldn't go tonight, but alas... Sick. :-P Gawd damn throat. :-/ It is just like I got a bug that has located in my throat and no where else. :-P I sincerely wish I'll be able to work next week... Well, OK so I am a little sniffly as well, but it is mostly in my throat. And it is annoying as HELL! I like to talk, dammit! But now it sounds like I've lived of cigars and whiskey for pretty much my entire life. It ain't pretty. :-P

Tokio Hotel fans? Have you seen all the AWESOME FQF fics that has been posted in [livejournal.com profile] th_fanfic? If not you DEFINITLY should go over there and read! So much GREAT fic! Not to mention, there is ACTUALLY G's fic there this year!!! THE SHOCK! :-D *is damn happy about this fact* And while you are at it, do join [livejournal.com profile] gs_daily and spread the word. ;-)

And while we are at it! Have some fun vids that I have amused myself with while drowning my sore throat in tea...

Buffyverse doing the Footlose... )
This vid was REALLY amusing! Both because I love the Buffyverse and the song! :-D AND there are some really brilliant photage in there from the Angelvers as well! VERY amusing and well worth a shot! *shakes it with demons* Sure was a lot of dancing in those tv-shows! :-D

Her morning elegance... )
This was also a really cool music-vid.... Mostly for the imagery... It just LOOKS really cool. :-D And the song is just... mild and calming somehow.... :-) Well worth a look!

Best wedding proposal ever! )
Watching this though, you'll have to bring out the tissues, people! This was really awesome! I'd be in shock, if I was that girl!

How irish dancing started...? )
This? Well this just made me laugh my fucking ass off!!! And I am a fan of irish dancing! X-D

And lastly... If you are into art...? And/Or Disney? You DEFINITLY want to check this out... Disney princesses in a bit more historiclly correct clothing. OK, so they are not perfect, but damn if they are not cooler then what we see in the movies! :-D

Party with friends, work at big library, and the cramps from hell... Plus photos!

I haven't updated about my Saturday! Fail on me! *lol*

Yeah, it was AMAZING! SO MUCH FUN! :-D [livejournal.com profile] spicehobbit and I had the best plan EVER! X-D We were to cook food together, drink delicious cider (picked out to us by [livejournal.com profile] peting73) and watch the movie Thor. And that was just what we did! :-D

Lovely, lovely food... Chicken with a peanut butter and coconut milk sauce... SO MUCH YUM! And then we drank a french and a british cider with that. :-) And watched Thor... And nearly laughed so hard the food got caught in our throats. X-D IT WAS SO FAILTASTIC, MY GAWD! Brothers, my ASS... They probably fuck like bunnies... X-D You COULD say the slash went through the roof and once we watched the extra deleted scenes it went straight to the stratosphere. X-D Geezes CHRIST! Was the scriptwriters even aware of what they wrote? Probably not since they took a bulldozer and went straight over everything known about old Nordic Mythology. There was not a single thing right there, at all.

The best part of this failtastic movie though, was... the actor playing Thor himself. Both me and [livejournal.com profile] spicehobbit was pleasantly surprised. He was not only a real HUNK! But was quite a nice actor to with some really AMAZING eyes... Not to mention watching the usually so serious Stellan Skarsgård be drunk off his ass is always a plus!

So it wasn't a total loss. ;-)

Some photos!

Friends and food! )

After that we went downtown to find a good club and dance our ass off! And that we did. There is a club downtown called Brasseriet where there is this excellent mix of people, all from the age off 18 to the age off 60!

So that's where we went, and we danced and we laughed and we looked at people and we danced some more and we bought two drinks more and we danced some more... I ran into a an co-worker from the horrible job I had once, who was ecstatic to see me telling me how gorgous I was! That is always awesome to hear. :-)

And [livejournal.com profile] spicehobbit ran into this really nice (and cute!) guy who she talked to quite a bit... ;-) Phone-numbers were exchanged, but that is all I know... For now. :-D Keeping my fingers crossed though!

Then we stumbled home to [livejournal.com profile] spicehobbits apartment, and I slept on her sofa bed.

It was really a brilliant, brilliant Saturday!

Coming home on Sunday I found out that [livejournal.com profile] peting73 had had an awesome impromptu October fest as well! :-D He had his mates had been drunk off there asses and played games and talked and listened to music... "Manly music..." or so [livejournal.com profile] peting73 says. Don't know what that means totally... X-D Important thing is they had fun, really... and the apartment was looking just as nice when I came home as it did when I left, just with added bottles in the kitchen. :-)

Rest of Sunday me and [livejournal.com profile] peting73 just took it easy and didn't do a thing, because you know... We were tired. He he he...

As you can see on the carnage after [livejournal.com profile] peting73s party here:

Beer-bottles! )

Anyway, then came Monday and my first day at the big city library downtown, or evening since I worked from 3pm-8pm. My gawd. It is so, so different then working in those smaller neighborhood libraries or the school libraries... I was even asked what the difference was by a librarian there, while working putting up books in the shelfs. And, as most of you should know, if you ask me something you get a straight answer. So I told her. The biggest difference is that you don't get the same connection with the visitors like you do in a smaller library where you usually get to know them by name and know exactly what books they like to read. The librarian asking me, told me that this was not a conversation we should have here where anyone could hear about the inner workings about the library... (Like it was such a great secret...) I just looked at her, and said... You asked.

Just saying, if you don't want a straight answer, you really shouldn't ask me a question. :-P

Anyway, it was fun if a bit confusing to work there, let me tell you! And I keep getting more hours there, so I suppose I did something good. :-)

Tuesday the writer Mattias Gardell came visiting the library talking about his new book Islamophbia. And wow... Just... wow... He hit so many important points in that book, my gawd... And now I want to see the Iranian TV-show Sara and her five men... about an Islamic woman and... her five men. *lol* I'd love to see that, my gawd! And did you know there is a goth and rock movement among young woman and girls in Irak and Iran and other Arabic countries, complete with shawls and everything? This is so awesome, I don't even... Everyone should read that book, just saying...

ANYWAY! I had the job to make sure that everyone coming had a ticket to see him, and I got a lot of kudos on how I dealt with that responsibility. Really, it wasn't that hard for me from all the times I've done jobs like that and worse working at the Student Union Pub. *lol*

Then Wednesday and today Thursday I had no job, so I've spent that time at home, hoping to be able to relax. HA! No such thing, since I woke up with a achy throat and my period started so I was knocked out by menstrual cramps. DAMMIT! Well, better I get these problems now, instead of next week... Because next week I work 6 days! o.O Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday AND Sunday! o.O Plus on Saturday evening we are going to visit my brother since he and his wife are celebrating their combined birthday! They have both turned 30 this year! ACK! Busy times!

Being slightly sick, I haven't had energy to do much else then sit here and read... So I've read up on all the FQF-fics (there has been some really nice stories with the G's this year! so glad to see they haven't been forgotten. :-) ) and I've read up on my F-list to. :-) Go me! I've seen a lot of my friends on my f-list going through some really tough times... I am so sorry to read that, and I want you to know I do think of you all...

Right. This turned long. Go you if you managed to read it all!
