Fanfic, World of Warcraft and THAT meme...

Geezes christ. This is just the second time I have been this emotionally effected by a fanfic. First time was years and YEARS ago when I was quite new to fandoms, new in the Xena-fandom... Before LJ and I just traveled forums and such.... What can it be? More then ten years ago? When I stumbled upon DJ Redhawks story Warlord Metal. You can still read it online, in it's original fanfic-form, but I highly HIGHLY suggest buying the book itself, I really do. It is in my own bookshelf.

To this day I say Warlord Metal is the fanfic that has touched me the most...

But now I have started to read a story that is nibbling in Warlord Metals heels, the story that has held the nr 1 trofé among the fanfics I have read for more then ten years...

King of Kingz by Raiju... I am reading it right now, and I have read 24 chapters out of 111... If it keeps it up like it has... It is going to push Warlord Metal off it's throne. Just saying.

So that's what I've been doing today. That and playing World of Warcraft, thinking of stories for my wonderful bloodelf... I haven't had this much fun playing World of Warcraft in years... (and I've been active in that game ever since December 2005). I am contemplating writing a short story of my current two main characters... *ponders* I'll have to think about that some more.

My throat still hurts like FUCK every time I swallow (not to mention how much it hurts when I cough...). It is NOT fun, let me tell you. I sound like I've been living of whiskey and cigars... I drink insane amounts of tea, which is wearding me out. Just a few days ago, I hated tea. Now it is the only thing that keeps my throat working. No, I haven't been to work today. Nor will I tomorrow. I am so sick of this shit... It's been going on since Friday. Mom called today and said it would probably be a good idea to check with a Doc. peting73 thinks so to. I suppose I will call them tomorrow. :-P

Oh my god King of Kingz is literally the best thing out there. One of them at least :) I've left it at chapter 97 for ages, because I don't want it to end and I don't know what the end will bring. I'll finish it soon though 'cause she posted mooooooore recently. WOO.

I didn't want to start reading it until it was completed. I have a weird thing with WIP's, man.... I don't like it when there is no end. Now it is finished, but then I have heard all the shit Raiju went through with stalkers and what not, so I was a bit hesitant to even start to read that beast of a fic. Now I have though. And I am VERY glad I did.

I do recommend you checking out Warlord Metal as well, if you are so in love with King of Kingz. Lesbian love instead of gay love, but damn... just as much of an emotional impact as King of Kingz (even if it isn't quite as long). I promise. :-)

Hee, yeah I know a few people don't like WIPs. I used to avoid them at all costs but I gave up on that a while ago haha. As far as I'm concerned Raiju is worthy of the highest praise. There's no other author I respect as much as I do her. I sound like such a kiss ass, I just think she's incredible :)

Oh, I read WIPs on occasion. :-) That I do. BUT! It depends on the fic. I knew King of Kingz was gonna be emotional as hell, so then I didn't want it to be a WIP. But if a fic has an interesting plot.... Yeah, I'll read WIPs. :-) I love the Tracking-system thing they have on THFiction.Com, that helps. It is so very, very neat. :-) First fanfic site I have seen that on, really.

Yeah, I knew that too. BrokenMirror and I were talking about favourite authors waaaay back and she said Raiju wrote unbelievable stuff. At this point I was a little squicky about Billshido but I tried it anyway. I didn't read King of Kingz first because I, like you, knew it would be a bit of an emotional roller coaster. I joined in 27 chapters in and then waited obsessively for updates, which she gave us about once a day so I couldn't complain xD

And yes!! I love the tracking system on THF so much :D

Yeah I did, I didn't realise that would be so near the beginning xD IT WAS! But Raiju was so good at updating it, it was never too much of an issue.

I would like you to go to the doctor too. It's lasted for quite awhile so I doubt its' viral- and it doesn't sound like the flu. If it's bacterial you might want to get some antibiotics.
