Stressed out like fuck about work and weekend...

I don’t even know where to start with this post. To say things have been stressful lately would be an understatement.

Stressing out about work... )

You’d think once I got home from work I could relax, right? Nope, no such thing.

Stressing the fuck out over trip to celebrate Midsummer this weekend... )

Right, so… To make a checklist:

Checklist of the weekend... )

I honestly have no idea how I’ll keep my sanity this weekend… :-/ *ready to collapse*

A little meme-thing to get me started posting again....

Haven't posted in a while, but then I saw [livejournal.com profile] steinsgrrl had posted this, which she apparently stole from Reddit. And I figured, why not? Chances are, I'll get back to posting again. Seems I needed a little break. :-)

Anyway, here goes!

1. If your first love came back to offer you everything you've ever dreamed of, what would you do?

My first love? Did I even have a first love? I honestly wouldn't know. I did have a boyfriend when I was around 20-years old. After I'd gotten back from the US. It didn't last very long, and he was a bit of an asshole. His first love was his guitar. It was more important than me. :-P He was great in bed though. Like REALLY great! So, in a sense, I am glad he took my virginity since he knew wtf he was doing and made sure it was really good for me to.

Then I had, very shortly, a girlfriend when I'd moved here. And I moved here when I was around 25. And yes. To her, I'd say yes and welcome her with open arms, had I not had the family I have today. I have not one bad word to say about her. It just didn't work out. And we are still friends to this day. I loved her, in a way, but not the way I should have.

And then... There's [livejournal.com profile] peting73. Who I've been together with for 10 years. And I have my daughter with him. Love of my life that one.

My love-life is sadly short, but... intense, maybe? *ponders*

2. Have you ever called 911? If so, why? (or 999 or whatever the emergency number is where you live)

Here in Sweden it's 112, and yes I have. Once. I was still living at home then, hanging with another crowd of friends. I'd arranged my yearly summer-masquerade party, my parents not at home, leaving us to do what we wanted with the house, as long as we cleaned it up the day after. (I was somewhere around 18-20, I think.) One girl, at one of them parties, was an anorectic. And had an anorectic/bulimic friend with her. The anorectic/bulimic girl fainted and started shaking and seeing things and blacked out now and then... One of the other guests, also a friend of the two, tried to take charge in my own home telling me not to worry and tried locking themselves in my parents bedroom. I was NOT having that! I pushed myself inside said bedroom with force of strength, told the charge-taking guest to shove it where the sun don't shine and to shut the fuck up... and then I called 112. Sick girl ended up in emergency for a while, and then got back to the treatment home she'd been on leave from. I think both them sick girls are OK today. I know one of them got a family today, two kids and a guy... So I guess it ended up well in the end.

3. What is the #1 thing you miss about being a kid?

The lack of responsibility. And the freedom. Of course, when you were a kid you didn't see it like that, but looking back... Yes. That's what I miss the most. Running around during summer... Didn't matter what yard you were in, our yard our any of our neighbors yard... All the doors where wide open, and there was always someone there to give you a drink... or a snack... or some sweets... We were four kids, me and my brother. And the neighbor siblings, also a sister and a brother. We played together all the time then. During winter we went out skiing and had mini-barbecues in the snow....

It was a good way to grow up, and I can miss that sometimes and feel guilty of not giving the same to Alexandra.

Strangely enough, that neighbor-girl? She ended up one of my worst bullies when we got a bit older in school... and the one who started it all. I still, to this day, have NO idea why.

The little vacation-trip...

Argh! So behind on everything! o.O

I'll just split this up in a few posts...

So. Trip first. :-)

We went and stayed with mom for about a week, which was all kinds of awesome to be honest! :-D Not that we did that much, but it was nice to just get away from everything for a while. :-) Not to mention being spoiled. And Alexandra was the one that was the most spoiled. *lol* She got gifts from mom twice during 6 days... ;-) That should be quite telling! *grins*

And then there was mom's big 60th birthday party barbecue party that she'd arranged for friends and family. :-D And it was SO MUCH FUN! I love taking a drink or have some wine and such at times, but I haven't really since Alexandra was born... and now I got my chance to! :-D So I spent that night slightly tipsy since there was so many people that brought wine, not to mention mom has quite the load standing around at home to. :-) So that evening was spent drinking, eating and just have a laugh! My mom and my uncles wife and my aunt get slightly insane when drinking wine, and this was NO exception! X-D Listening to those three, it is easy to see where I've learned it all... If I put it that way. ;-)

Loved hanging out with my brother to, since he spent all day that day at moms. :-D His kids where with their mother, and he didn't want to be alone, so he came over and helped out with mom's stuff for the party. :-) Not to mention he and [livejournal.com profile] peting73 where the designated grill-masters. X-D

So that was all kinds of awesome!

Mom worked on Monday and Tuesday, so when she left home on Monday afternoon to work during the night, we all left for the neighbouring little town/village that is AWESOME during the summer. Hjo. It is a gorgeous place with a lot of hte old buildings left in the "city"center. :-) Not to mention the BEST icecream place EVER! So we spent our afternoon there.

Also, mom has THE BEST neighbours ever! She wants to get rid of all her flowerbeds and most of her garden paths. So one of her neighbours came over and did short work of one of the garden paths... so now grass will grow there instead and there won't be a sign left of it. :-) And then her garage is old and the walls aren't very good, so he has also promised her to fix the walls on it for her. So he started doing that on Tuesday... and worked really quickly to! Of course, he'll get some pay for it, but really. If mom didn't have all them AWESOME neighbours, she wouldn't be able to stay in her beloved house that dad fixed up for her (and us).

On Tuesday we left to go home, but made a stop to visit Mariell, my BELOVED cousin who is globetrotting all over the world! :-D She has now moved from Doha, Qatar to Muscat, Oman. Still working for the same spa-company, Essence Spa, just in another country. :-) Anyway, she had to come back to Sweden suddnely since her passport and visa ran out! OUPS! X-D So she'd just gotten home the day before when we visited her. :-) It was AWESOME to be able to give her a hug and just hang out like we used to do! And, of course, she was THRILLED to meet Alexandra properly to!

It was a great trip, filled of love and family and friends. :-D And not to mention relaxing. :-) Much needed. Alexandra behaved GREAT! And loved crawling around on moms big garden! Not to mention hunting mom's four cats... X-D

Surviving Midsummer...

I did survive Midsummer, if anyone was wondering... ;-)

It was a close call though, I will admit. We kept to the schedule I posted before Midsummer, and it worked out fine. :-) And Alexandra behaved GREAT the whole time!

During the Midsummer-party day before Midsummer-Eve at my aunts, she even stayed up later than usual. And she got to meet a ton of my relatives that hadn't meet her before. So that was awesome! :-D She will be as crazy as the rest of this huge extended family before she turns 10, I swear...

Had a lovely chatt with one of my relatives while there... a younger one. And randomly she asked HOW we were related. Well, I said, your grandma and my mom are cousins... which makes me and your mom second cousins... And you and me, she asks. Well, I say, you're my second cousins kid.

Yes, I did mention my huge extended family was huge and crazy, right?

Anyway, much yummy Midsummer-food was eaten, much hugs were shared, and much talking was done. :-)

And then we went onwards to our next stop, Lindesberg. We were to stay at one of the hotels at the city centre there. An older hotel, historiclly speaking. And it was very nice! Big room, even if it hadn't been renovated in a while, it was still nice. And the breakfast in the morning was YUM!

We had one of those traveling cribs with us, and it worked like a charm. Alexandra slept great in it. :-)

Next day we traveled the last four hours to [livejournal.com profile] peting73s best friend, Kiltfan.

And that's when I got a bit pissed... Because when we were ALMOST there, after traveling for two days, around 4-5 hours each day... They call and let us know they are not at home, but at another place to dance around the Midsummer-pole.

WTF?!?!

Yes. That pissed me off somewhat. But as luck would have it, they made it back just before we got there, so all was well in the end. Still, not a cool thing to do.

More Midsummer-food was eaten. Our old Student-overals were put on. Alexandra charmed everyone and behaved wonderfully. :-D And apparently slept really well, because she didn't wake up until 8:30am the next morning, shocking me quite a great deal! I'd gone to bed at midnight/one am or so. Early for a Midsummer-party, but I was in charge of Alexnadra so there we go. :-) Now... [livejournal.com profile] peting73 and Kiltfan on the other hand... X-D They'd been up to 4am drinking beer! *LOL*

Let's just say it was a good thing we didn't start our travel until in the afternoon. ;-) (There were a few stops on the way while I was driving... for [livejournal.com profile] peting73 to... look at the nature... bent over... *cough*)

Unfortunately though that had me hanging out with Kiltfan's wife. She apparently likes me, but... I have... a hard time hanging out with her. She is BEYOND over protective off her kids. Seriously. They are not allowed to go anywhere alone. They live on the countryside. There's nothing dangerous around, trust me. But the kids are not allowed to be on the yard, outside the house alone. They're not even allowed to walk in the stairs (a big, simple stair) alone from topfloor to bottomfloor. Kids are 5 and 3 years old. To me, that is NUTS! I've grown up like that to. Mom kept the door open and let us run however we wanted. Up and down the stairs (not quite such a safe stairs as theirs) and in and out and in the yard and just... all over the place. If you live like that, in a safe community way out on the countryside... I think that is how it's supposed to be.

But yeah. When she was living here? In the city Borås? Who is a pretty calm city, compared to the biggest cities in Sweden (Stockholm, Göteborg, Malmö). She didn't dare go outside the door, unless Kiltfan or someone he trusted walked with her...

I wonder what their kids will be like when they grow up... *shakes head* Teen-years sure will be interesting.

Anyway.

So we left and started the journey back. Alexandra was a bit more bored in the car this time, so even though she slept much of the journey as she'd done on the way there, we had to do some more stops this time.

It went well though, and we found the hotel in Örebro fine. :-) This one was a bit newer a hotel, with rooms that were clearly newly renovated. BUT! The room was WAY smaller, so we barely managed to set up Alexandras travel bed. Once it was in place though, it worekd fine and we went to bed REALLY early and slept wonderfully...

... until Alexandra decided to wake up at 5:30am. X-D Silly girl. Good thing that hotel served breakfast from 6am onwards. *lol*

We didn't stress at all, and took it easy during the morning, but it still made sure we got home quite early despite making several stops during the way. We even traveled through the city where my aunt and cousins live... so we took a break and feed Alexandra at my cousins place! :-D

So the whole journey worked great! Better then expected really. :-)

Now we can relax some... until mid-July when a shitload of birthday-parties and summer-parties and I don't even know what is going down among my relatives again... X-D

This weekend... and the one that will follow...

This day and this weekend, I tell ya'.... Ugh...

It all started on Friday, really. During Thursday me and Alexandra had been out walking in the pouring rain, and apparently that was not a good idea for me... Alexandra was fine! No worries there. But to me it was not so fine...

Because I got a cold. And not just any cold. But the cold from Hell...

I haven't been that knocked out from a cold before, I am not even joking. [livejournal.com profile] peting73 was a doll all weekend and took full responsibility for Alexandra so I could relax and try to heal up.

And I got it all.Stuffed nose. Stuffed throat. Stuffed ears... Stuffed everywhere!

And then on Sunday? I couldn't breath properly. Not even joking. It was really heavy and tough to get a breath. :-/

Now a wise person would have gone to the ER right away, right? Well. I am not so very smart. I am my fathers daughter. Eh... It'll pass. But it didn't. And at 2pm I gave up, and called [livejournal.com profile] petingt73 to get the car home (he was at a park with Alexandra) so I could go to the ER.

Did so. Stressed place that. I got a special inhaler thing there and it cleared it up. Almost, but I figured hey! I can BREATH! X-D So I left and got home with a stop to the drugstore to get more of the inhaler, since I got a recipe for it. :-)

Great right? Well not. Because after I'd been home for... an hour, maybe? It got back. I had trouble breathing again! So I used the inhaler I now had at home. Only worked for a min or so. I know I took it to much, four times in just an afternoon, but... I really really didn't wanna go back to the ER. Instead I went to bed. But as soon as I put my head on the pillow, my throat pretty much closed up. o.O Or so it felt like.

Yay. Back to the ER I went! And now, since I'd sorta overdosed on the inhaler I had at home, they couldn't give me the good stuff. Instead they gave me a ton of other stuff... and nothing worked! Until 4am in the morning, when finally enough time had passed and they could give me that thing again. I COULD BREATH! OMG! Such a feeling... They kept me there a few hours more for observation, threatening to keep me for a few days (over Midsummer? OH HELL NO!). But at 10:30am in the morning... I could FINALLY go home! I had even slept some! :-)

Poor [livejournal.com profile] peting73 though. He stayed up until 4am Monday morning worried about me... Then had to get up at 5am and call his workmate to tell his mate he would not come in to work that day... and then Alexandra woke up at 6am... Ready for a new day!

To say he collapsed when I got home would be an understatement. :-P So we just lazed around all Monday pretty much. Doctors orders: Eat five of these pills each day for five days, use your inhaler four times a day for six days, drink plenty tea and water and RELAX! Oh, and those pills give you energy so take them all in the morning... And did we mention relax? *lol*

So that's what I did during Monday..

Fast forward to today, Tuesday.

Where I definitely did NOT follow the Doctors orders... o.O

Watch this:

Alexandra woke up at 6:15am, of course... Not all bad, since I had to start laundry at 7am sharp. So up we went, and got new diaper and both of us dressed. Sorted laundry (A LOT!) and found the baby carrier so I could carry all the laundry and Alexandra down stairs to the basement where our laundry room is. (Alexandra who now weighs about 9 kilos, I might add... HEAVY!) Got down stairs just in time and started two loads of laundry, carried Alexandra up stairs and got morning porridge in her... or so I thought since she was in a MOOD and threw it around, so she only got half if it in her belly. Then we went downstairs to the basement, this time carrying the diaper bag and Alexandra and changed the loads and got the clean stuff in the drier. Then we went to Open Preschool that had their last day today before summer vacations and all that + Midsummer celebration for kids all ages. So we got to our usual bus-stop. Just to find out the quick bus is canceled during summer. Crap. So another buss and off we go.

At this point, it's only 9am.

We got to the Midsummer celebration just in time! Got a message from [livejournal.com profile] peting73 saying he might get home early from work since he is not totally OK. So I texted him back telling him all the stuff I'd been doing in the morning, sorta proud!

Got back kinda Oh woe is me, I can not be sick, everything is always worse for you, sorry I might destroy our midsummer-vacation-trip-thing, since I just about puked during breakfast-break at work...

Me: *FACE-PALM!*

So I called him up and we dealt with misunderstanding.

Onwards.

Got nice strawberries and ice cream at the Midsummer-celebration at Open Preschool and then we went home!

Dealt with laundry so everything was hanging up to get dry or in the dryer.

Up to the apartment and getting more food in Alexandra. Then [livejournal.com profile] peting73 came home, went straight to bed, still in a mood and not feeling to great.

Took a seat in the couch. Alexandra asleep for two hours (!).

Down to get the laundry. A bit late, so the next person is already there, but she was fine with me being late. Lovely woman!

Folded and got all the laundry ready and then carried all that plus Alexandra in the baby carrier upstairs! (PHEW!)

It's 4pm at this point.

[livejournal.com profile] peting73 all mopey, food what, don't wanna cook don't wanna do anything...

So I got all the flowers drenched in water so they'll be fine while we are gone and then set to preparing dinner while I told [livejournal.com profile] peting73 to go shop baby-food since we'll need it during our trip. I can't cook baby-food for Alexandra then.

5pm I feed Alexandra and 5:30pm [livejournal.com profile] peting73 comes home. Now annoyed he didn't get food BEFORE going grocery shopping. *FACE-PALM!* He is still feeling sick. He goes to lay on the couch after dinner. Me I deal with Alexandra and trying to get all the clothes that I'd folded put away.

Success with half of it! Then time to get Alexandra a bath so she'll be clean and nice for trip. [livejournal.com profile] peting73 still on couch slightly sick don't wanna...

Right! Me do! And does so successfully at 6:30pm. Alexandra loves it! So she gets a long bath and then her pajamas on + diaper and then she sits in [livejournal.com profile] peting73's lap a bit while I prepare her evening porridge. She eats well, but is very tired. [livejournal.com profile] peting73 still on couch. Now asleep. AGAIN!

Nature calls for me just when Alexandra is done, prompting a HUGE bout of crying from Miss [livejournal.com profile] mini_viking waking [livejournal.com profile] peting73 up so he deals with her for a bit until I can again. I take Alexandra with me and let her fall asleep in my lap and take a breather.

PHEW!

What a day!

And tomorrow? Tomorrow we are finally going on that trip! :-D Because now [livejournal.com profile] peting73 is fine. :-) Whatever sickness he got it passed during the day, so this evening? Fine. So there will be a trip tomorrow.

Plan is set and will go as follow...
  • Tomorrow: Drive to my aunts for the HUGE family gathering / Pre-Midsummer party she arranges every single year! There'll be around 25-30 people there or so, all of us related in one way or another to each other or married into the family. :-) (2 hour drive.)

  • Then drive on for 3 hours more to a small city where we'll stay at the main hotel and sleep.

  • 21st, Midsummer Eve: We'll get up when Alexandra wakes up and drive on towards [livejournal.com profile] peting73s best friend for another... Maybe 4 hour drive or so? And then celebrate Midsummer's Eve with him and his family and some more friends! We'll sleep at theirs that night.

  • 22nd, Midsummer Day: We'll spend some more time with [livejournal.com profile] peting73s best friend and his family, before we leave. Drive for about 4 hours or so and then stay in another city this time and stay at one of their hotels and spend the night there.

  • 23ed: Wake up with Alexandra. Get ready and drive home the last 4 hours on the road...

It'll be an interesting experience for sure to make such a huge trip with Alexandra... But we've prepared as much as possible, so I am quite confident it'll be fine. She don't mind going in the car, and I'll bring toys and such for her to play with, not to mention plenty food and water. :-) So I am quite hopefull for the trip. And it'll be great to meet everyone of course! :-D

Right. I should go to bed. It's quite the day we have ahead of us tomorrow!

HAVE A GREAT MIDSUMMER IF YOU CELEBRATE IT, PEOPLE!

Ze Christmas Marathon!

OMG! The Christmas Marathon is OVER! *collapses*

This has been our schedule this Christmas:

23ed: Visiting [livejournal.com profile] peting73's mom to meet up with his relatives, exchange gifts and hang out and celebrate a mini-Christmas. :-) The gifts exchanged there are only supposed to cost 30SEK (4,30USD), but I cheated a little so Alexandras and [livejournal.com profile] peting73s was a lil more expensive. I found some AWESOME bargains on Tradera.Com, though! I am SOOO shopping on said site again for birthdays and christmas next year! :-) Alexandra behaved great, until it was time to open the Christmas gifts... She freaked out at the sound of the ripping of wrapping paper! X-D So we had to take her out of the room... *lol* She got tons of gifts (of course) and grandma had cheated and bought her a few extra and more expensive ones (of course)... Was a great day!

When we got home we prepared and packed as much as possible for the next day...

24th: Pack up all off us in the car with packing and such (geez, you need a lot ot stuff to travel with a baby...), and drive to my aunts for Christmas Eve celebration. In Sweden, the main Christmas celebration is on Christmas Eve. So, TONS of food and candy was eaten. And we drank some serious amounts of Julmust... as always on Christmas. We also watched Kalle Anka och hans vänner önskar God Jul on TV, as every year. An odd tradition in Sweden that was a bit hard to explain to one of my cousins friends from Estonia (I believe...) who was there visiting. It was wonderful though. All of it. :-)

Alexandra behaved great this time to! She took plenty naps and ate good all day, and didn't freak out QUITE as badly about the wrapping paper this time. *lol* We stayed there almost until midnight, playing games and talking and I don't even know what... Alexandra slept most of it, of course, but that is OK when you are only 4 ½ months old. :-)

And the biggest gift of all... To be able to hang out with EllaBella (Lifemattertome on Twitter), my darling cousin all day. She has changed so so much, and I couldn't be more proud. She has turned into a thinker and filosofer... a lover of culture and different people on the planet. And still, without losing that fun-loving party-girl that can have men at her feet if she wants. She is so beautiful and so strong... that woman. She is meant for great things. She gave us some lovely gifts to! Me and [livejournal.com profile] peting73 got two books about Qatar, and Alexandra got some very pretty clothes she'd bought there and a soft toy: a dromedary (Arabian camel). How awesome ain't that???

Anyway! Onwards!

25th: We stayed at mom all nights, so we slept there and during Christmas Day... we didn't do a thing! *lol* We ate a ton of food and even more candy! (I've probably gained a ton in weight... and it doesn't help that we got a lot of candy as gifts to!) Alexandra was a good girl all day, even when being head-butted by moms HUGE cat Måns! X-D So we just lazed around, didn't do much at all. Earlier years we used to go watch a Disney-movie in the movie-theaters, but since Alexandra is so small we watched movies all day instead.

During the evening we watched an old favorite of mine: Lethal Weapon, the first one. And while sitting there, I got a sudden craving for slash between Riggs and Murtaugh.... *HUGE head-desk* I don't even know, people, but now I can't get it out of my head. So if you find any? Do let me know... *cough* I am a weirdo and it has finally been proved...

26th: Next Christmas-party... Yes, on Boxing Day my brother always have a Christmas party for my dads side of the family, and one can NOT miss this, of course! So off we went! It was GREAT fun! More gifts were exchanged! And hanging out with my brother who I've been talking to SOOO much lately on the phone was beyond awesome, really! I love him! He is the best, he just don't know it all the time... Good thing I am good at hitting him over the head with it to let him know he is.

Anyhow, my niece and nephew always get SOOO excited to meet Alexandra, they hardly left her alone a minute! *lol* Well, she got to take naps, of course, and they were almost fighting about whose bed she was to borrow... (She had plenty naps, both beds were used.) And during the Christmas gift exchange, she was actually quite calm during the ripping of wrapping paper. I guess she finally got used to it. *lol*

So that was a lot of fun! :-) We left said party and drove straight home during the late night, two hour drive. It went very well though, and Alexandra slept the whole way. :-)

Then yesterday, 27th, we were HOME!!! SO NICE! And just lazed about. I'd say we needed it.

But it is NOT over yet! *lol*

Since EllaBella will soon return to Qatar (soon moving to Oman), she wanted a gathering to meet all friends and family before leaving so...

28th, today: All three of us packed ourselfs into our car AGAIN to take the two hour drive back to my aunts to visit them AGAIN... *lol* And to see more relatives and friends of EllaBella. Before that though, we went to moms and checked out her new TV that she got during the after-Christmas-sale. A smart-TV... Don't know if I should be worried...

Anyway, meeting all them people was a lot of fun, because I so rarely get to do so. :-) Alexandra was really well-behaved to. For the most part. She ate and took naps and all... Until more and more people showed up, and things got a bit louder, since well it ended up being a lot of kids to. And the more kids you have in a room, the louder they get. Which ended up in a sort disaster...

I had gotten Alexandra to sleep in an empty room at my aunts... she slept find, peacefully. But then she woke up, and neither me nor [livejournal.com profile] peting73 got to her quick enough, so she panicked and then there was all the loud noise from the other kids... Basically my sweet baby Alexandra got hysterical. She could NOT stop crying or screaming! She wailed so much, she almost threw up. Only one thing to do then. Pack up and go home. So we did just that, took a quick goodbye to everyone and went on to drive home... When we'd driven for... 5-10 mins she was peacefully asleep, thank gawd. And we had no problems getting her to eat and sleep once we got home. Phew. That was not a pleasant experience for neither mom, dad or baby, let me tell you. As [livejournal.com profile] peting73 pointed out, you feel so helpless you just want to help her calm down and feel happy again... and when you can't, you almost get desperate. :-P

So today was a great day to, even if the ending was not so great... :-P

Now though, we won't do a bloody thing until New Years... that will be celebrated at home with an insane amoutn of Star Wars movies and a four-course dinner courtesy of [livejournal.com profile] peting73, hang around in soft-pants, and having [livejournal.com profile] spicehobbit over. No demands or "has to"s... Just us, movies, food and laziness. I approve of this plan. :-)

Sexmästeri/Sexmasters strike again! Boring mom talk... and such... *lol*

We have started to use new bigger bottles when feeding Alexandra since she eats more now! Unfortunately not the cool Rock Star Baby bottles that I'd found. Two of them I kinda wanted, but after some research on various mom-sites and such, they weren't very practical. Dammit. :-/ Might buy something else from that site one day though even if it is expensive like fuck (like THIS dress, geezes how cute ain't that! o.O) I really really wanted them bottles. Ah well. Two new MAM-bottles it was, the bigger anti-colic ones. Practical but a lil boring. As soon as I see someone bottle-feeding around here... they have the MAM bottles. :-P They are good for kid, but still. Boring. When we used the smaller ones she had a green one and a pink one, but I refused to buy another pink bottle, dammit! So now she has a yellow/golden one and a blue one. Colours of the swedish flag! *lol* I swear someone will think she is a boy when we use the blue bottle. *shakes head at stereotypes*

My exciting life... I discuss baby-bottles... *lol* X-D

At least I get to be somewhat kinky/pervy at times when I work on the INSANE fic of DOOM aka Hydra aka Let Us Hear You, Let Us Feel You... (Read it at [livejournal.com profile] hydrafics AND at THFiction! Let us know what you think!) Thank gawd for that. And for some obscure reason I ended up helping [livejournal.com profile] snowstormskies with her sequel to the amazing fic Chained to Morpheus that she wrote... which promptly made sure the sequel might end up several miles long... o.O How the hell did THAT happen? *shakes head in amusement*

Yesterday we had a blast though, all three off us. :-)

Yes, indeed. It was time for the Sexmasters jubilee! :-D I love going to these parties every fith year, since I get the chance to see all the people I used to work with when I did all that volenteer work in the Student Union Pub! And all the people who have done the same work before me... and after me... :-) A bit different this time though, since we had Alexandra with us. Of course we did! These parties with Sexmasters usually end up loud and boistorius and crazy with a lot of alchol and a lot of lovely and crazy people. :-D Let's just say that we sang A LOT of songs and most of them were of the NC17 character... Wait. There aren't that many songs I KNOW that are NOT NC17! X-D And I learned most of them during my Sexmasters year 2003. *LOL*

I meet up with my ex, who has SERIOUSLY buffed himself up! o.O My gawd... I said no to THAT? Geezes... Not to mention he got himself a really REALLY good job these days traveling all over the world weeks at a time... Oh, he'll be in China next month... FOR THREE WEEKS!!! o.O Staying in some really nice hotels, working and enjoying life in China while making a good paycheck! WHAT?!?! Again, I SAID NO TO THAT?!?! Oh yeah, I remember now... He hates conflict, is just TO nice and well... He has still to grow up some. ;-) Like growing a spine and some balls... *cough* He is still a sweet guy though, and it was awesome to talk to him and all the other friends there. :-D

[livejournal.com profile] spicehobbit was awesome as always and had made a copy of the overalls me and [livejournal.com profile] peting73 always wear at events like these for Alexandra, complete with her name on the back of it and a bunch of patches here and there. We have a TON of them patches on our overalls but since hers are new and kinda small... not so many for her. ;-)

We had such a blast! No drinking for me, since I was driving AND taking care of Alexandra. Not that [livejournal.com profile] peting73 drank much, since he wanted to be able to take care of her to, but still. We stayed as long as we dared to, until Alexandra got really really fussy, clearly very tired. Then we left. But it was still a blast, and all the other people there were totally charmed by Alexandra. :-D

Already looking forward to the next jubilee in five years... *lol*

Birthday party, movies and stuff...

I did go to that birthday party yesterday after all, since I felt quite a bit better. I drove there alone, since [livejournal.com profile] peting73 didn't wanna go. Now, I don't mind driving. Actually, I enjoy it quite a great deal, but I'd never visited M, and I do dislike driving in bigger cities. So I was a bit nervous about that, but I did find my way, and it went amazingly! I was so proud of myself! :-D I always have huge problems finding my way as soon as I am supposed to drive somewhere new, so yeah... That was great!

The birthday party wasn't as bad as I'd feared. I wonder if M had taken a chillpill or something? Hmm... Anyway, I got to meet [livejournal.com profile] astroflammante, [livejournal.com profile] tekiila and L, three old friends that I used to do a LOT of stuff with while I was working for free for the Student Union Pub. :-D So much fun! Another guy who was also sorta active at the Student Union Pub was there as well, a guy called Brain. He is AWESOME! One of the nerdiest people I know! *lol* And an old friend of [livejournal.com profile] peting73, so I was told to give my best to him when coming home. And to tell [livejournal.com profile] peting73 that he failed for not coming. *grin*

I had quite a good time, discussing weird stuff with people I didn't know, talking with my friends... eating good food and dessert that M had fixed. Checking out M's and J's new house that they'd recently bought. It was quite fun. (Although I did a mayor face-palm when M said how much money she'd spent on curtains alone for the house... Around 8000 swedish crowns / 1130 USD... Girl, you could have gotten curtains just as nice for less then HALF that price! *shakes head*)

Right so, apart from that me and [livejournal.com profile] peting73 has continued working on redoing our apartment (parts of it, anyway). It goes slowly, but we do progress every day. Reason why it goes so slowly? Because I've saved SO MUCH SHIT! GEEZ! *head-desk* Crazy, really really crazy... So I am throwing away a ton of stuff, and I know [livejournal.com profile] peting73 is to. Feels good though, even if it takes a bit longer a time.

And while working on throwing away stuff I am contemplating to buy more... X-D *lol*

I was surfing YouTube today a bit, and found this little gem. The most famous voice ever!

Don LaFontaine: The Voice

You WILL recognize his voice, I swear... )

And surfing on looking at old trailers (for some reason I find this amusing), I stumbled on this one...

The Rollerboys... )

Ah, Corey Haim in his prime... Patricia Arquette... Post-apocalyptic world without adults... Neo-nazism bad guys... drugs... gangs... rollerblading stunts... The Rollerboys is just one of those B-movies that I just can't help but love. :-) At first I thought it was from the mid 1980's, but I was wrong! It was actually made 1990! Neato! And I thought one couldn't get a hold of it either, but I was wrong there to! Can buy it right here in Sweden for 99 swedish crowns / 14 USD! Oh, I so want that old movie... I had it on a video-tape when I was young, but it disappeared I believe... :-) Tempting, tempting...

Oh, and I saw this the other day that made me grin... Mick Mars of Mötley Crüe fame did an interview for Gibson (since he uses their guitars, I assume), and it was a really fun and nice interview to read! He seldom gives interviews, pretty much being the quite guy of the band. I did get a chuckle reading that interview though... Practice, practice, practice... Gustav, my dear... You're not a Crüehead in disguise to, are you? *wicked grin*
Mötley Crüe's Mick Mars talks Las Vegas, new music and guitar...

And lastly, THANK YOU for all the crystal hearts I've been given! I haven't sent anyone myself (fail me) but thank you so, so much for those that sent me one. :-D Thank you, thank you!

Gawd damn, my nose... and cats.

Oh fuck.... *groan*

I think I am coming down with a bug or flu or something, I don't know... Today has been HORRIBLE! Gawd DAMMIT! Sneezing all day, meaning I have to blow my nose all day... meaning my nose is red and hurt a lil... tender nose. And now, afternoon/evening... a headache just to top it off. WTF, body!!!

Tomorrow... Well, tomorrow I am supposed to go to that birthdayparty... Yeah... The one I kinda don't want to go to. :-/ I DO want to meet up with [livejournal.com profile] astroflammante, [livejournal.com profile] tekiila, [livejournal.com profile] skarvsladden and my other RL old friends that I know will be there... But if I feel like this tomorrow? I don't know... I... just don't know if that is such a great idea to go then, you know? I bet they'll say I got sick because I didn't wanna go, but I swear... I'd much rather be well and meet my friends, then feeling like this, thank you!

One fun thing about today was that our dear darling cats got their yearly shot and checkup at the animal hospital here. :-) The vets there are WONDERFUL! Our cats are indoor cats, so they go a bit crazy when we get them out the door... They are very good about going in their cat carriers. They have one each with soft blankets and old t-shirts in them (that them cats like to sleep on), so they are used to their carriers. So when we put them in the hallway, curious cats wondered what they were doing there and not on their usual spot... and walked straight into a carrier each. X-D Fooled cats are fooled! No complaints, only curious moving around in their carriers when we carried them to the car. And then... THEN! [livejournal.com profile] peting73 started the horrible scary car... And the cats started mewing and growling and sounding ABSOLUTELY miserable... Like we were torturing them or something... Keeping it up until we were at the animal hospital and turned the car off. Then they stopped. Just like that.

The vet was very sweet, checked their body, poked them all over. Said they both were in good health with nice healthy teeth (they are 7 years after all), even if both cats were slightly over-weight. Which we already knew. We got a pair of fat cats. X-D And yeah, we buy food for indoor cats that are made to make sure they don't get to fat. Gawd knows how fat they would have been otherwise... o.O Scary thought. Then our cats got their shots, we got them in their carriers again and got to the car... to hear the torture choir all the way home. X-D

Once home both Skuld and Verdandi got some shrimps, and were told what good cats they were. :-) No idea why, but they almost get high on shrimp, they love it so much! So them cats were soon happy again. :-D

One year more until next trip... :-P

Think I'll go to bed early tonight... I really hope I'll feel better tomorrow. :-P

Work, LARP and irritating people...

Haven't written anything in a few days... Oh hum... Thought I was going to have a calm weekend... HA HA HA! X-D No, I didn't. I worked. Apparently two of the librarians were sick, and they called in me and my young friend (who is also a librarian and hired by the hour there). It was a bit of a crazy weekend to be quite honest...

Winter has finally gotten it's hold on Sweden. So the weather one would want on Christmas when the weather was spring-like? Well, we got that white Christmas-weather now. Bah. :-/ Do not want. There has even been warnings about the weather, that it might be worse.

With this in mind... One might think not many people would like to go to the library? Well. Wrong. There was SO MANY visitors to the library this weekend, OMG! And everyone of course had a bag or two with books to return. Holy smokes... There was no way we could keep up and get the books back in the shelfs. Then we had a little old man who tried to steal books (yeah, no gramps, it is a reason there is an alarm in them books), the security failed to show up when they were supposed to so we had to call them so they could come and lock the doors, and to top it off... On Sunday we couldn't get the lights to work, couldn't get a hold off the caretakers to help us and finally had to ask my young friend to call her dad who is an electrician. And then when we left we couldn't turn them off either and had to leave them on the entire night for the Monday crew to deal with.

Boring in the library? I think not. *lol*

Somehow, despite working the entire weekend, I managed to go to the LARP as well. Even if I couldn't stay the whole night. Usually I stay to about 4-5am in the morning, but that just wasn't doable. I had a BLAST though the hours I was there! I really do love my LARP-friends. They are so wonderfully insane, young, friendly and just... all around awesome. :-) (I'll never look at snot the same way again... Long story...) My character, Frida Wagner, didn't have that much to do, but she was nearly talked into having sex with another character, which made me lol... X-D Frida is an old military from the special services in Sweden... She likes it rough... And I am a head taller and some compared to the guy who tried to chatt me/Frida up... Let's just say I had a hard time not laughing outloud, going OOC. X-D I had so much fun. :-)

Oh, and then I was talked into going to a birthdayparty I really don't want to go to. *head-desk* I only go because I know I'll meet other friends there that I really wanna see, like [livejournal.com profile] astroflammante,[livejournal.com profile] tekiila and possibly [livejournal.com profile] skarvsladden and a few other RL friends from my time volunteering and working for the student union and the student union pub. They are the sole reason I agreed to come.

The girl holding the thing, M... I mean, she is not an evil person. Really not. She is just... annoying. So, so annoying. At least to me. I can play nice, and I do meeting up with her, but seriously... *sigh* She got a new job one that fits with her education, which is good so I congratulated her for it when she called asking if I'd show. (Always nice to get a new job.) But apparently she didn't come eye to eye with the other employee there. M, she is new on the job and it is her first job. Apparently M didn't like how the old employee did her job, since it didn't fit with how M thought it SHOULD be done... Girl. You are new on the job. It is your first job. Calm yo' tits. But apparently M saw this as the old employee being mean to her and it stressed her out so much she got a depression and she had to go on sick-leave... *head-desk* My gawd.

And this goes through with everything with M. Things not going her way? She gets whiny and pissed. And I have a problem with people like that. A HUGE problem. She loves playing games to, her and her husband (who I adore, he is a really sweet guy), so whenever we hung out we played games. But gawd forbid if you didn't play games the way SHE thought it SHOULD be played... or that she didn't win. Yeah, she is really bad loser to...

Anyway, so we talked a bit on the phone when M called to ask if I wanted to come to her party (me being my sweet self, while I was fuming on the inside). And as SOON as I said, yeah I'll come over to meet you and the others... I mean, the right next thing she said... "Oh, can you drive two of my friends here that you've never meet, since you'll most likely have a car, 'cause you know you can just take the car since [livejournal.com profile] peting73 surely don't need it..." Ah. So that's why she wanted me to show. Not to meet me. But to act as a taxi-driver for her friends. Good to know where I am standing. *shakes head*

One and half more weeks before said party is going down. I am not looking forward to it.

Oh, and I'll have to re-install Windows 7 on my computer and all my programs I have on it. Looking forward to that even less.

FML.

Party with friends, work at big library, and the cramps from hell... Plus photos!

I haven't updated about my Saturday! Fail on me! *lol*

Yeah, it was AMAZING! SO MUCH FUN! :-D [livejournal.com profile] spicehobbit and I had the best plan EVER! X-D We were to cook food together, drink delicious cider (picked out to us by [livejournal.com profile] peting73) and watch the movie Thor. And that was just what we did! :-D

Lovely, lovely food... Chicken with a peanut butter and coconut milk sauce... SO MUCH YUM! And then we drank a french and a british cider with that. :-) And watched Thor... And nearly laughed so hard the food got caught in our throats. X-D IT WAS SO FAILTASTIC, MY GAWD! Brothers, my ASS... They probably fuck like bunnies... X-D You COULD say the slash went through the roof and once we watched the extra deleted scenes it went straight to the stratosphere. X-D Geezes CHRIST! Was the scriptwriters even aware of what they wrote? Probably not since they took a bulldozer and went straight over everything known about old Nordic Mythology. There was not a single thing right there, at all.

The best part of this failtastic movie though, was... the actor playing Thor himself. Both me and [livejournal.com profile] spicehobbit was pleasantly surprised. He was not only a real HUNK! But was quite a nice actor to with some really AMAZING eyes... Not to mention watching the usually so serious Stellan Skarsgård be drunk off his ass is always a plus!

So it wasn't a total loss. ;-)

Some photos!

Friends and food! )

After that we went downtown to find a good club and dance our ass off! And that we did. There is a club downtown called Brasseriet where there is this excellent mix of people, all from the age off 18 to the age off 60!

So that's where we went, and we danced and we laughed and we looked at people and we danced some more and we bought two drinks more and we danced some more... I ran into a an co-worker from the horrible job I had once, who was ecstatic to see me telling me how gorgous I was! That is always awesome to hear. :-)

And [livejournal.com profile] spicehobbit ran into this really nice (and cute!) guy who she talked to quite a bit... ;-) Phone-numbers were exchanged, but that is all I know... For now. :-D Keeping my fingers crossed though!

Then we stumbled home to [livejournal.com profile] spicehobbits apartment, and I slept on her sofa bed.

It was really a brilliant, brilliant Saturday!

Coming home on Sunday I found out that [livejournal.com profile] peting73 had had an awesome impromptu October fest as well! :-D He had his mates had been drunk off there asses and played games and talked and listened to music... "Manly music..." or so [livejournal.com profile] peting73 says. Don't know what that means totally... X-D Important thing is they had fun, really... and the apartment was looking just as nice when I came home as it did when I left, just with added bottles in the kitchen. :-)

Rest of Sunday me and [livejournal.com profile] peting73 just took it easy and didn't do a thing, because you know... We were tired. He he he...

As you can see on the carnage after [livejournal.com profile] peting73s party here:

Beer-bottles! )

Anyway, then came Monday and my first day at the big city library downtown, or evening since I worked from 3pm-8pm. My gawd. It is so, so different then working in those smaller neighborhood libraries or the school libraries... I was even asked what the difference was by a librarian there, while working putting up books in the shelfs. And, as most of you should know, if you ask me something you get a straight answer. So I told her. The biggest difference is that you don't get the same connection with the visitors like you do in a smaller library where you usually get to know them by name and know exactly what books they like to read. The librarian asking me, told me that this was not a conversation we should have here where anyone could hear about the inner workings about the library... (Like it was such a great secret...) I just looked at her, and said... You asked.

Just saying, if you don't want a straight answer, you really shouldn't ask me a question. :-P

Anyway, it was fun if a bit confusing to work there, let me tell you! And I keep getting more hours there, so I suppose I did something good. :-)

Tuesday the writer Mattias Gardell came visiting the library talking about his new book Islamophbia. And wow... Just... wow... He hit so many important points in that book, my gawd... And now I want to see the Iranian TV-show Sara and her five men... about an Islamic woman and... her five men. *lol* I'd love to see that, my gawd! And did you know there is a goth and rock movement among young woman and girls in Irak and Iran and other Arabic countries, complete with shawls and everything? This is so awesome, I don't even... Everyone should read that book, just saying...

ANYWAY! I had the job to make sure that everyone coming had a ticket to see him, and I got a lot of kudos on how I dealt with that responsibility. Really, it wasn't that hard for me from all the times I've done jobs like that and worse working at the Student Union Pub. *lol*

Then Wednesday and today Thursday I had no job, so I've spent that time at home, hoping to be able to relax. HA! No such thing, since I woke up with a achy throat and my period started so I was knocked out by menstrual cramps. DAMMIT! Well, better I get these problems now, instead of next week... Because next week I work 6 days! o.O Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday AND Sunday! o.O Plus on Saturday evening we are going to visit my brother since he and his wife are celebrating their combined birthday! They have both turned 30 this year! ACK! Busy times!

Being slightly sick, I haven't had energy to do much else then sit here and read... So I've read up on all the FQF-fics (there has been some really nice stories with the G's this year! so glad to see they haven't been forgotten. :-) ) and I've read up on my F-list to. :-) Go me! I've seen a lot of my friends on my f-list going through some really tough times... I am so sorry to read that, and I want you to know I do think of you all...

Right. This turned long. Go you if you managed to read it all!

Getting to old for this shit...

Two nights in a row getting home around 3 - 4am.... One of them nights being insanely drunk...

I AM getting to old for this shit... And it got me slacking on my posting at [livejournal.com profile] gs_daily. Damn, damn... Ah well.

The party I was at Friday night turned out a lot of fun though... Even if I was around 10 years older then everyone there. *lol* I had my student overall on, as I'd promised, which proved to be a great sucess, since everyone was curious and had to check out... and complain about the smell. X-D It has never been washed. And I got it 2003 and have used it a lot since... Yeah... X-D I am just airing it out now and then.

Anyway, I drank insane amounts of alcohol, and got very drunk. Not, you know, I-have-to-throw-my-guts-up-drunk... But the world was definitely moving around under my feet, as you who follow my Twitter could see. X-D Smartphone with Twitter + alcohol = not always a good combination! *smirk* Everyone was happy I was there and all, so I guess that was good. And things got quite interesting as the evening went on. I am disgustingly honest when sober. And even worse when drunk. That is, I'll tell it exactly like it is. Without holding anything back. At all. Apparently this was appreciated. And I got shots from the hostess, that she held while I was drinking them. And not with her hands. While she was straddling my lap. Hmm... I've also found out that two girls, sisters, have a crush on me. Hmmm... Now, can someone tell me where the HELL these gorgeous little goth-girls were when I tried to figure out my sexuality?!?!? And was single?!?! [livejournal.com profile] peting73 was mostly amused and cursed the fact he wasn't there watching. *lol* Yeah, we don't even know how to spell to jel... jal... jealousy. X-D

And then yesterday it was LARP-night. I wasn't that hungover, so I was all game for LARP when the evening came! And it was a lot of fun! Well, a bit slow, but still fun! And now my character, the servant Frida, has found out that her mistress Isabella stalked her for 12 years before she decided to snatch Frida and use her as a servant. Had a wonderful discussion between Frida (servant, 60 years old, not quite human and not vampire either), Isabella (vampire 106 years old) and another character called Rasmus (vampire 250 years old) about servants their use, their feelings for there masters if one should have servants and if one should embrace them, turn them into vampires when they've been servants a certain time. Now, Frida loves Isabella. She is the center of Fridas universe. She'd die for her. Frida would do anything to please Isabella. And the ultimate proof that she'd done good in Isabella's eyes would be if Isabella turned her into a vampire. So of course that is a dream of Fridas... I have high doubts Isabella would do that though... since Frida is much to useful as a servant. :-) Fun times it was at any rate!

Since I didn't get home until 3:30am Friday night/Saturday morning and then around 4am Saturday night/Sunday morning, I am totally beat today, holy cow... *shakes head* I am definitly getting to old for this. Ah well. There will not be much done today, let me tell you.

Wrap up and such...

Since I am currently stuck in front of the computer roleplaying... (and having a blast doing so) I figured I could do a wrap up off what's been going on a bit since last... Since LJ has been down thanx to that attack from russian hackers... 0

Work

I am currently unemployed. Again. Well, part-time unemployed anyway. I did my last day at work last of July. I'll miss that library. I really liked it there and I had some awesome workmates. No really, they were brilliant. :-) I learned a lot to that I'll most likely use in my future adventures as a librarian.

So I am fucked, right? No more work? I think not. I already have a few hours here and there and apparently my reputation is spreading, since a library I haven't worked at yet called the other day asking if I could do a few hours there as well. It IS looking pretty good, guys! :-D

Of course I had to wrestle with bureaucracy when it comes to the unemployment fund, but eh.... It is a pain, but not impossible. (So much paper that needs to be sent in, GAH!)

Next week I'll be snatching the car and go on a trip to visit all libraries around here and see if I could get a few more hours here and there... I mean, it can't hurt... and next week all head librarians should be back from their vacations, meaning it's better to do it next week.

So I have a plan, and it is looking pretty good. :-)

Family

Had a bit of a drama in the family last week to. Now, that doesn't happen often mind... At least not in my family. We are very supportive of one another.

Lately though I (and hubby [livejournal.com profile] peting73) have started to get quite annoyed at the fact that everyone wants us to go visit my family, but as soon as we want anyone to come here and visit it is such a bother, and such a pain because it is such a long way to go, and we live in an apartemtn, not in a house and oh dear me, what a pain it is... *sigh* And in the next breath they can ask us, so... when are you two coming here to visit? Since it is so much easier for us to travel there... Never mind it takes the same amount of time and is the same journey no matter who does the traveling. *sigh* So, yeah. A bit annoying.

Then Sunday (31th) we were supposed to go to Gothenburg and Liseberg. Me, [livejournal.com profile] peting73, mom and my brother and his family. Three days before the trip, my brother called and asked if it was cool if we canceled it and instead we could come over there and we could go on another amusement park (Sommarland), since it was much more convenient since me and [livejournal.com profile] peting73 has no kids... Now I had looked forward to this trip for a long time, since we'd talked about it for quite some time, so to say I was disappointed would be an understatement... and again with the 'please drive here, it is so much easier if you do the long drive...' Yeah, I was sad, pissed, and very disappointed. :-/

Talked to mom about it, and she was very understanding saying we could do something else another time. Brother, who reacts to almost anything with anger, got a bit pissed... And yeah, I do understand him. They got two small kids, 4 and 2 years old. Plus he drives around all the time helping other members of our huge family, since he is the skilled, most practical, in the family right now since Dad died... So I understand if they didn't want to make a long trip. But still! We'd talked about this for weeks!

[livejournal.com profile] peting73 helped partly solve the situation, giving us a compromise that everyone was pleased with. We had a barbeque at moms instead. Mom got to meet all off us including her grandkids, my brother didn't have to drive that far and didn't have to drive in a big city (he don't like that), and I got to hang out with my beloved family... It still meant we had to do the long drive, but dammit... it was the best option there was.

At least my brother managed to come visit me on my birthday... He didn't last year, so he hadn't been here in two years... *sigh*

Mom don't mind coming here though, and next week both she and my aunt is coming over since then one of their favorite bands, Smokie, are going to play live on a free concert downtown! So they'll come over here to us, [livejournal.com profile] peting73 has promised to cook us something delicious and then we'll go downtown watching free music. :-) I think it is going to be great! Talked to both mom and aunt, and so far, no change of plans. They are still both game for this. :-D YAY!

Fandoms

I am contemplating posting my PotC/TH crossover ficlet to THFiction... and [livejournal.com profile] th_fanfic. I am scared as fuck to do it! And I need a beta to look it over... Since it has mayor character death in it... and isn't exactly a happy piece... I am quite pleased with it, though... :-P It just needs a beta, since I know I suck donkey balls at grammar...

Talking off fandoms and writers... My favorite writer in the THfandom is leaving said fandom, leaving behind a few WIPs and some of the best done writing I have EVER read! I've had tears streaming down my face reading her stories, and trust me when I say I don't cry easily... I can understand if people wanna leave fandoms, new interests, growing apart from it and all that... But this girl was more or less hunted away from the fandom by idiotic teens and drama-queens stealing her ideas, her identity and just plain being assholes. And that just makes me sad. Damn sad. Fandoms are supposed to be fun, a place to play around... for everyone. Ah well. She is going to rework some of her stuff, and have it published... Just like DJ Redhawk did (from the Xena-fandom... I still buy her books...) and [livejournal.com profile] shapinglight is still doing (from the Buffy-fandom... buying her books to...). Seems I'll have another fanfic writer turned professional in my bookshelf soon, because dammit! I'll buy her books to!

LARP

The vampire-LARP is going damn well, I must say! :-D At least for my character, the servant/ghoul Frida Wagner. Well, more or less.... At least she hasn't died yet. *lol* She tried to help her mistress in a fight not that long ago, and managed to actually fight off a vampire much stronger then her (Go Frida!), but in the end she was thrown in a transport container for a few hours to calm the fuck down! X-D It was awesome! She even dented it... *lol* She is seriously a kick ass woman. That is currently living with four grown up English Mastiff dogs, 16 puppies of the same and her vampiric mistress in a trailer.... Complicated life is complicated? *lol*

It's LARP-night tomorrow, so we'll see what happens then. :-)

And... tonight...

I am going to a party at a LARP-friends... It'll be great fun, I think. :-) All my young friends, more or less, from the LARP is going to be there, and they asked me to get my old student-overall on and be wicked and mean like I used to be to other students at the Student Union Pub... X-D I promised I would... I am not sure they are aware of what they ask for... *wicked grin* To be reported at a later date then....

Right, so... Midsummer celebrations went better then expected. Well, apart from the regular angst and drama.... I don't get that.

Anyway, instead of bringing my folklore costume, I brought my student overall. Since everyone else had student overalls it felt like the right thing to do. And it is easier to be snarky and mean in a student overall... ;-)

It wasn't just us and Kiltfan plus his wife and kids. Oh no. Eo and her Rumanian hubby was there to. (They meet through World of Warcraft and now he's moved here. Quite awesome.) And M and K who are around there 40's and 50's and own a student overall each. In fact, K had his 50'th birthday not that long ago. Who said only young people could be crazy in a student overall? Just saying. *grin* And then there was J as well who had some tough times with family so it put a damper on the party at times, but he got help from friends, so I suppose it all ended well. :-)

Alright, so... Photos? Of course you want photos of crazy people in student overalls filled with patches and slighly drunk... (Well, quite drunk as the day proceeded... I took my first cider at 11am or 12...) Also, all photos are clickable for bigger, should you want to. :-)

Photos and such under here! )

Didn't take more photos, since we mostly just sat around talking and drinking... and I got increasingly drunk. X-D I went to bed around 11pm, being the first to go to bed after the kids. I didn't drink as much as [livejournal.com profile] peting73 did, but he can hold his alcohol waaaay better then me, and I am still pretty good. 6 strong ciders I drank, and some shots from Kiltfans wife... She seems to like me, even if I have some problems standing her. Strange. So overal it was a great Midsummer celebration, I'd say. :-)

It was an 8 hour drive there... [livejournal.com profile] peting73 drove the whole way there... I drove the whole way back. It wasn't very fun. Damn why did they have to move so far away? *grumble*

Right so... Since we got home me and [livejournal.com profile] peting73 has started on a diet, Modifast (Swedish link, English link). It is a bit like the Cambridge diet that we were on around two years ago. I've gained weight since then again... Damn annoying. So now we are going to do this again. We'll be on this diet for about a month or so and see what it can do. It is hardest the first two or three days so right now, on day two, I am damn hungry. But I know it'll pass soon enough. And it'll be worth it to. I know.

My ticker:

And also... I am apparently Tom Kaulitz. *lol*

You Are Tom

So much awesome! (And a teeny tiny bit bad...)

Yesterday was awesomely fun! :-D

At first I went to work at the school-library where I have worked these last six months. Well... It wasn't like I went to work yesterday, it was more like going to a party or gathering. :-) It was the last day of school for all them kids. And the last day for me to see them. So I dressed up nice (even had high-heels on!) and went there. Even tried a new makeup on trying to recreate the classic look by Betty Page, Marlyn Monroe and many others from the 50's. I did succeed somewhat, I think. :-) Got told I looked very nice by many. :-D
The kids were singing summer songs and the head-master held a speech. It was as it usually is when kids end school for summer holidays here in Sweden. And afterwards all the teachers and other staff in school had their own little gathering where we had coffee and cake and AGAIN the head-master held a little speech thanking all the teachers and staff for the year that had gone by.
My boss / colleague that will start another job shortly won't come back to this school, so she got a hug and a gift from the head-master and flowers. :-) She was close to tears, I could tell. And I understand her. Other teachers and staff that was leaving this school also got their flowers and speech. And me! o.O I was quite shocked at that, actually. But yeah. Was told that I had done a great work with the kids and it was a good thing I was a tad bit different, because as he said there is a need of variation and other views in school and life... I was a bit embarrassed actually... What little I have done is NOTHING compared to what my boss / colleague has done, but I was pleased to hear it none the less. :-)

After that we went to visit my second cousin to celebrate her son who graduated today! :-D WAS SO MUCH FUN! I got to meet my huge insane extended family which is always fun and got to give him a hug and wish him good luck in the future. :-) He is such a promising young man, so nice and sweet and... well... full of mischeif as well, as I guess most young men 18 years old are. ;-)

I also texted a lil to my LARP-friend who I'll be meeting today, since she graduated today to! Yeah, A is a young thing only 18 years as well... A wonderful young woman as well. I am sure she'll continue on to great things to!

And today! Today [livejournal.com profile] spicehobbit is leaving for Great Britian and will stay there and study for four weeks! :-D She loves that country and the language so I am sure she'll have a blast! She'll spend all her summer holiday there, so once home she'll go right back to work. :-) I bet she thinks it is worth it though!

So only good things, yeah!

Only bad thing I can think off is that yesterday I did Thursday night I did a stupid. :-/ I use Semagic when I post and edit and what not on LJ. I love it, works so fine. But Thursday LJ was a bit slow, so when I tried to load a post, my private post where I have my HUGE list of fanfic-to-read-when-I-have-time that I have added to for over a year... I clicked stupid and that ENTIRE post disappeared. Yeah. It is a stupid thing to be upset about, but... I admittedly am. :-/ DAMMIT! I have opened a ticket for help with LJ, but I have little hope of getting that entire post back. :-P Stupid, stupid.

Today though it is LARP-day! YAY! *runs off*

Burlesque and books...

Haven't updated in a while, have I? Fail me. :-P

ANYWAY! I'll start with Saturday, since thats when me and [livejournal.com profile] spicehobbit went to the club Tip the Velvet in Gothenburg. And oh my.... It was awesome! :-D So much fun! Not for the drinks (that was really awesome) or the music (that was really catching) or the people there (that were all really sexy and well dressed...). Going to this club was gawd damn awesome for the ATMOSPHERE! :-D I am just saying. Everyone was dressed according to the theme of the evening. Burlesque and/or fairytale themed. I got to see some VERY interesting takes on Alice in Wonderland and Snowhite, let me tell you... *cough* And the dresses, suits and costumes people had gotten together was just... Gawd damn amazing. Geez... I felt a bit under dressed in my suit, but when I got compliments from a couple of girls, I felt alright again. Especially towards the end of the evening when two asian looking girls in nurse-uniforms with very, very short skirts wanted me to help them with there stockings... *cough* :-D There was some classical very tasteful striptease as well, and man... MAN! That was awesome! :-D Just saying. :-)

We are so going again when Tip the Velvet is on again, let me tell you!

[livejournal.com profile] _devilcandy_ demanded photos and well... Here are a few. I took more photos during the evening but not that many turned out alright. Ah, well...

Before we left for the party though, I got [livejournal.com profile] peting73 to take photos of us. :-) And since he has bought Photoshop Elements 9, he couldn't help himself but play around a bit with them photos to. :-P So here are those photos first.

Me and Spicehobbit! )

Then I took a few photos there as well, but as I said they didn't turn out that well, so keep that in mind. These were the best, according to me. :-)

More Burlesque photos here... )

Right, so Saturday was a blast, to say the least. ;-)

Then I have been working all week. And since it is the winter sports holiday this entire week, it has been soooo nice to work. :-) No kids. ;-) It has been calm and nice, and we've had to opportunity to REALLY re-arrange the shelfs at the library. It looks so nice right now. And I'll give the kids 1 hour before it looks a mess again. *laugh* Ah well... A library is supposed to be used after all. :-)

Yesterday me and [livejournal.com profile] spicehobbit were out running again! *grin* We went to the City Library since they had a Book coffeehouse there yesterday afternoon. And the theme for the evening was Fantasy, Sciencefiction and Horror... Oh yeah. I am so there. :-D It was a lot of fun! My list of books that I want to read has turned out quite long by now, let me tell you, since I added a lot of the books we spoke about during that evening. One of the librarians that hosted the thing tried to talk us into that Twilight were good books... Ehm.... Lets just say that didn't work to well. X-D Me and [livejournal.com profile] spicehobbit and a couple of more of the guests there immediately started to thrash them! *lol* Lets just say that librarian quickly turned to another book. *grin*

We also proved how huge nerds we really are while there... They had a quiz and me and [livejournal.com profile] spicehobbit did it, finding the questions quite easy, except one of them, that we had to guess on. Turned out we guessed right, and had all the answers correct. We were the ONLY ones there with all the answers correct... X-D We won a book each! So now I have yet another book to read... A fantasy novel from 1616... ;-) I am not joking. It is called Christian Rosencreutz alchemical wedding... I can't wait to read it. :-D

A meme and some rambles...

First! Lets see how many dares to.... ;-)

Snagged from [livejournal.com profile] das_mervin:

Leave a ONE WORD comment that you think best describes me. It can only be one word. No more than one word. Then copy & paste this post to your own journal so I can leave a word about you.

Gonna go fix dinner soon, waiting for [livejournal.com profile] spicehobbit to get here. Tonight we are going to the Burlesque Club Tip the Velvet... And I can't wait! :-D Gonna be so much fun. :-) She even bought an ascot pin yesterday that I can use with the ascot she has fixed for me. o.O Amazing... And I have shopped some really nice makeup from Make Up Store that we'll experiment with. Gonna get damn interesting this. :-)

Yesterday was a calm and nice day at work, thankfully. I think I needed that after my stressful Thursday. :-P Short day to, but I was still so beat after my Thursday, I collapsed on the bed for over an hour when I came home. :-P Such is life. My boss / colleague told me I should talk to big boss about the troubles we have every single Thursday, so I will. :-P She is a great, really strict but cool lady, so I am actually looking forward to that talk. :-) And me and my boss / colleague decided that from here on out, none of us should work alone on Thursdays. Good call, I think. *nods*

Right. So. Off to make dinner, and then we'll see if I survive the evening... ;-)

Planning, planning...

Have worked today, and it went very well, I must say. :-) Not to busy, but still stuff to do. Was a good day.

Talked to [livejournal.com profile] spicehobbit tonight, and we decided to go to a Burlesque Club on Saturday... EXCITING! :-D I have NEVER been to one, but since we both like fashion and music from the 1920's-1940's and the fashion back then... We'll both go. :-) I doubt I can get [livejournal.com profile] peting73 to come with us. He is working a lot of over-time this week, plus he isn't always up for going out and party. Not like me and [livejournal.com profile] spicehobbit anyway. It'll probably just be a girls night out. :-) And I'll get to look at a lot of pretty girls and tease [livejournal.com profile] peting73 about all he missed... *giggle-smirk* Why yes, we do have pretty much the same taste. Think Betty Page, and you are getting close. ;-)

Anyway, the Burlesque Club we are going to is called Tip the Velvet. They have a dress code to, so yeah... Not that comfortable in dresses and skirts, I'll be wearing my pinstriped suit, with my white shirt and then [livejournal.com profile] spicehobbit is going to tie an ascot around my neck, and I'll be wearing my Stetson hat (with feather and band) and my heavy coat plus my Dr Martens... :-D Yeah, pretty masculine, right? Well. I'll top that off with tons of makeup and glittery nail polish, curly hair and a serious push up bra. ;-) I'd say that would count as quite androgynous right? I might not be as good at it as Bill Kaulitz, but I can do it my way. So there! *grins*

Talking of that boy... My lord... Those tight spider-man / aim right here / pants are just... Yeah. I do like how he dresses like a rock star again though, and not a model. :-) Much more masculine. Way to go, ma' boy. :-) And Gustav.. GUH! That man and his muscles is going to kill me dead one day. Just saying. Is it just me or has his arms grown bigger still? What does he do? Pushups at all times??? Geez...

Righto. That was my fangirl moment for now. Ehm.

Of I go to bed. It is a Thursday tomorrow... Ugh... Do not want. :-P

Memes, memes... and parties.

I forgot to tell you about my Sunday, actually. Where I was invited to [livejournal.com profile] skarvsladdens birthday bash. :-) It was a 1 hour 40 mins drive, one way. With a printed map from the internet. On snow and ice. It was... interesting. :-P At first I wasn't so sure I wanted to go, but once I was there, I had a really good time. :-) [livejournal.com profile] astroflammante was there, as was [livejournal.com profile] tekiila and [livejournal.com profile] chigrima and plenty more of my old friends from my years at the university here. Was brilliant to talk to them again, catching up and generally having an awesome time. (Note though: Chi? You ARE so cute! X-D Just saying...) [livejournal.com profile] skarvsladden is very much a scout. To the core. So she had some competitions on her birthday party where you had to these scout thingies on time and everything. I failed. Mayorly. But fun was had by all. And she liked my gift to, so yay!

Working so far this week has been brilliant. It is a bit staggering to be partly responsible for a school library yourself... For sure, mayor responsibility is my colleagues / boss, but I run it on a daily basis with all what that entails. Tough stuff. I had my first group of kids on my own today. It went.. surprisingly well, and the kids had a good time while learning how to find books in the library, following the cataloguing system we have. So yeah. :-) It was very good, all of it, I'd say.

Now for them mentioned memes... I was supposed to post another voice-meme, but I couldn't get the mic to work... Weird. I'll have to ask [livejournal.com profile] peting73 about that. :-P

And I do have that 30 days about me meme, and I missed a day here and there, so have three days of it today. :-)

4 previous days... )

8. Are you a fitness guru or a couch potato? Talk about your exercise habits.
Very much a couch potato. I really don't like exercising. :-P I do have my Zumba DVDs that I do now and then. And running around the library after kids that can't behave... Does that count?

9. Favourite meme at the moment.
The voice memes... It is kinda cool to hear what people sound like, isn't it? :-)

10. Talk about your pets, or the pets you would like to have.
I have two black cats, Skuld and Verdandi. They are six or seven years old by now. We got them after we have lived together for a year me and [livejournal.com profile] peting73. At first we thought that we were going to get to black boys and we had decided to name them Castor and Pollux... but no, they were two gorgeous black girls... :-) So we had to think of some other names. And we wanted to use mythology names. So instead, we picked our favourites names from the Norns from old Norse Myth. :-) Our cats are sisters, and a bit nuts, but we love them to bits and pieces. :-) I have grown up with cats my entire life, and I can't see a live without at least two cats in it.

20 more days... )

Also, have a meme about LJ. Why one uses it, friends, what one gets out of it, etc.... Maybe someone might find it interesting. :-)

Why LJ? )

Life and best friends....

A small update on my latest post. This friday I went to talk to another guy at the employment office, and apparently a lot of people are not up to date with there rules. Either that, or he was lying to me. :-P Since you don't have to go to a trainee job to get more support. It is enough that you actually look activly for work. That I have been doing constantly since I got sacked, you know... So that is good news, I suppose. I'll go on an information meeting about this shit some more, and then make my decision. As he said, if you say yes, and then feel your forced into something you don't like, you can always decline. Very true that, so yeah. I'll take my chances with there rules and see where it is going. As long as nothing effects the hours I do work or my ability to accept more hours, I have no problem. To be conintued, in other words.

I am a bit behind on my Sketchavember, but that will have to wait a bit. I am slightly hungover today, and one of my eyes are acting up a bit, so no photos for today.

Was at a dinner/drinking party at one of [livejournal.com profile] peting73s workmates last night. It was awesomely fun, and they are both really nice people. As is most of [livejournal.com profile] peting73s workmates, actually. Lots of drinking was done and lots of yummy food was eaten. It was great. And yes, I got drunk, quite a bit. :-P But not to much so. I left before [livejournal.com profile] peting73 at 2:30am. Apparenlty he didn't leave until around 4am. X-D He also drank some more then me, so yeah... He is slightly hungover today. I'll just leave him in the sofa. ;-) He don't even wanna play WoW... He is pretty hungover then. ;-) *pats him carefully*

But it is a very special day today still... Because today [livejournal.com profile] spicehobbit has her birthday! WOHOO!!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, SIS!

She is seriously my best friend in the world! I wouldn't know what to do without her. No words, people. No words for how awesome she is. :-D She is currently on a trip to our capital Stockholm to watch a play in a theater, and I do hope she has a brilliant time. :-) She loves theatrical plays and musicals, so I am sure she does have a great time. As I am sure I'll get a full report when she gets home. *grin* I have a brilliant gift waiting for her, and I think I'll try to get her to watch The Deathly Hollows Part I with me next week. We have seen all the others together, so I think that would be a suitable way to celebrate, yeah? :-D

Awesome plans for next week, in other words!

Beary best friends
