So much awesome! (And a teeny tiny bit bad...)

Yesterday was awesomely fun! :-D

At first I went to work at the school-library where I have worked these last six months. Well... It wasn't like I went to work yesterday, it was more like going to a party or gathering. :-) It was the last day of school for all them kids. And the last day for me to see them. So I dressed up nice (even had high-heels on!) and went there. Even tried a new makeup on trying to recreate the classic look by Betty Page, Marlyn Monroe and many others from the 50's. I did succeed somewhat, I think. :-) Got told I looked very nice by many. :-D
The kids were singing summer songs and the head-master held a speech. It was as it usually is when kids end school for summer holidays here in Sweden. And afterwards all the teachers and other staff in school had their own little gathering where we had coffee and cake and AGAIN the head-master held a little speech thanking all the teachers and staff for the year that had gone by.
My boss / colleague that will start another job shortly won't come back to this school, so she got a hug and a gift from the head-master and flowers. :-) She was close to tears, I could tell. And I understand her. Other teachers and staff that was leaving this school also got their flowers and speech. And me! o.O I was quite shocked at that, actually. But yeah. Was told that I had done a great work with the kids and it was a good thing I was a tad bit different, because as he said there is a need of variation and other views in school and life... I was a bit embarrassed actually... What little I have done is NOTHING compared to what my boss / colleague has done, but I was pleased to hear it none the less. :-)

After that we went to visit my second cousin to celebrate her son who graduated today! :-D WAS SO MUCH FUN! I got to meet my huge insane extended family which is always fun and got to give him a hug and wish him good luck in the future. :-) He is such a promising young man, so nice and sweet and... well... full of mischeif as well, as I guess most young men 18 years old are. ;-)

I also texted a lil to my LARP-friend who I'll be meeting today, since she graduated today to! Yeah, A is a young thing only 18 years as well... A wonderful young woman as well. I am sure she'll continue on to great things to!

And today! Today [livejournal.com profile] spicehobbit is leaving for Great Britian and will stay there and study for four weeks! :-D She loves that country and the language so I am sure she'll have a blast! She'll spend all her summer holiday there, so once home she'll go right back to work. :-) I bet she thinks it is worth it though!

So only good things, yeah!

Only bad thing I can think off is that yesterday I did Thursday night I did a stupid. :-/ I use Semagic when I post and edit and what not on LJ. I love it, works so fine. But Thursday LJ was a bit slow, so when I tried to load a post, my private post where I have my HUGE list of fanfic-to-read-when-I-have-time that I have added to for over a year... I clicked stupid and that ENTIRE post disappeared. Yeah. It is a stupid thing to be upset about, but... I admittedly am. :-/ DAMMIT! I have opened a ticket for help with LJ, but I have little hope of getting that entire post back. :-P Stupid, stupid.

Today though it is LARP-day! YAY! *runs off*

Disappearing link lists are *never* funny. *hugs*

As a start on a new collection. Best (and most believable) Harry/Draco fic I've ever read (small warning - it's really really long!): Bond. (http://www.fanfiction.net/s/2493456/1/Bond) And a short sequel: Not Seamus's fault (http://www.fanfiction.net/s/3484917/1/Not_Seamus_Fault). I don't know if you do Harry Potter stuff, but this is the most recent thing I read that struck me as genuinely good.

Found via this LJ, (http://teaparty-fic.livejournal.com/) she's also written some reasonably good stuff. Mostly Supernatural, a show I really don't like but often read fanfic about...

Thanx! I see she's written Pirates fic to, something I really, really love. :-D Thanx for the link!

I had a lot of Tokio Hotel fic in that list (yeah, I am disgusting perv), some stories over a 100 chapters long... So it was a bit of a sad thing to see that go. :-P Ah well, I suppose I have to reastart on a new list. :-P It was just such a sad thing, since I had collected on that list for over a year with links and other fun things, so... Yeah. Bah. :-P

I understand... My computer is being a bit excentric these days, and the thing that finally made me get my butt in gear and get an external harddrive for backups was the thought of losing my fanfic collection and my quilt pics. Not entirely sure which would be the worse loss...

Can't help you on the Tokio Hotel front, but here's another link: Twisting the Hellmouth (http://www.tthfanfic.org/). Which has, among other stuff, Buffy/Pirates crossovers. (http://www.tthfanfic.org/Category-2-1193/Pirates+of+the+Caribbean.htm) Enjoy! *grins*

It's not stupid. Losing something like that sucks A LOT.

[identity profile] kseenaa.livejournal.com 2011-06-12 10:31 am (UTC)(link)
It does. It really, really sucks a lot. I was just staring at the screen in shock, then I started swearing up a storm. I really hate it when that happens. :-/

AW! That's so cool you got that recognition! Really has to make you feel cared for. :D

[identity profile] kseenaa.livejournal.com 2011-06-12 10:32 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah. :-) That was awesome! I even felt a bit embarrassed about it since I didn't feel like I had done that much, you know? :-P But apparently they other teachers and the head-master felt I had. *smiles* Was a nice thing and it really made my day!

[identity profile] kseenaa.livejournal.com 2011-06-15 07:11 pm (UTC)(link)
It is both sad and a relief, since as you know it wasn't that easy to work there all the time... some days were really, really tough!!

And [livejournal.com profile] spicehobbit is such an Anglophile... X-D I bet she'll move there one day! *lol*

[identity profile] spicehobbit.livejournal.com 2011-06-16 04:36 pm (UTC)(link)
Yes, it`s so so so worth it! *grin* But I`ll have one more week when I get back. With all the things we`re doing, I think I`m gonna need it...

Sad to hear about the links. It`s never fun losing things you`ve collected for so long. *hugs*

[identity profile] kseenaa.livejournal.com 2011-06-17 07:13 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah, it sucked. :-P I've started on a new links-list... I hope I can keep this one from disappearing to. :-P

Good thing you get to relax some as well when you get home! I think your right. After such an adventure, I am sure you'll need it!
