Donald Trump being fact-checked by... me???? Twitter-storm and media-storm in Sweden...

I... don't even know where to start this post. o.O

Let's see... I took over the @sweden Monday 13th. Was a lot of active users following it, around 104'000. So there was a lot of questions and comments being thrown at me. But not more than I could keep up with. The nasty ones I just ignored. :-)

It was fun. I tweeted about my days. I tweeted about my city, Borås. I tweeted about books, since I am a librarian. Gave tips for reading about Sweden. What you can do coming to visit Sweden, and what fun there is to do in different cities.

Just what I'd expected to do on such a Twitter account. And the same thing I did, pretty much, when I was a voice for Sweden on The Swedish Number. Only this time I had to write my answers and to a lot more people then I had done then. So it was all fun and games...

Until after midnight Saturday night (swedish time). When Donald Trump held a speech where he talked about refugees and terrorist attacks. "Look at what's happening in Sweden. Last night in Sweden..."

I didn't know about this. Until suddenly A TON of people started to ask the only swede awake. On Twitter. @sweden. What is happening? Are you OK? Is ABBA fine? Have Måns Zelmerlöf been hurt? Etc, etc, etc... Et infinity...

I was left with thinking, what the FUCK is he talking about? Checking all the sources I could think off (because fact-check, people!), I came to the conclusion it was bullshit. And proceeded to tell the followers as much, mostly to reassure everyone and inform, you know?

This went on for all night until I noticed the time. 3:45am. SHIT! Kiddo usually wakes up at 7am, so I hurried to bed for a bit of sleep.

Woke up all groggy and shit and cuddled kiddo in the couch. And checked @sweden twitter. Between 800-900 mentions. HOLY HELL!!! Obviously I couldn't answer everyone, but I answered a few here and there, and kept informing and reassuring that NOTHING HAS HAPPENED!!!

And (gladly) after I had started to wake up, the media-circus started...

First a web-page/web-news page called Mashable mailed me questions about what had happened.... And then, hold your hats, BBC who I did a live-interview with right on air. And Le Monde (from France), DMed me and mailed me. After that, swedish media got in on it. And they to contacted me.

So I had the two MAIN NEWS SHOWS here in my messy home interviewing and filming me. WTF??? Both Rapport and TV4News.

After than it was the local newspaper that called and did a phone interview, Borås Tidning.

At this point I'm so flabbergasted, I had no words. To me, it was no huge deal. I'd spread information, spoke the truth and been myself. That's all. But these people seemed to see it as if I'd spoken against Donald Trump. *shrug* I suppose in a way I had, but I didn't and still don't see it like that.

Next news-site that contacted me and did a phone-interview was The Local who has swedish news in english. And the Daglige Blad from Norway.

And then... BBC contacted me AGAIN!!! X-D So I did another live-interview with them.

That was the last one I did on Sunday. I'd promised both myself, [livejournal.com profile] peting73 and Alexandra that I wouldn't do anything after 6pm at night, since... family is the most important after all.

I went to bed quite late again, since the storm had not stopped on the account. I was still the swede of the week on @sweden. And Sunday night was my last night, so I wanted to keep information coming for as long as possible before I had to logg out. So I did. There was still TONS and TONS of questions pouring in and I answered as best I could. Tweeting information and news as best I could. Until finally I was to exhausted and logged out and collapsed in bed.

You'd think since I was not the swede of the week on Monday I wouldn't have anyone calling me? Wrong! SO wrong!

I'd gotten emails during Sunday from the public radio here in Sweden about doing a couple of mornings show Monday morning. So I had to get up early, since the first one was to call me at... 6:45 am.

So at 6:45am I talked to the morning show in Stockholm. 7:15am I talked to the local radio-show Radio Sjuhärad... And at 7:30am I talked to the the morning show P3 Morgon-passet.

After that I threw myself in the shower taking a shower and after that getting makeup on, because after that...

I was to be on BBC (AGAIN!). This time it was BBC News (what??!?!). I didn't know if they wanted with my face to on Skype, so hence the makeup. Proved they didn't need that, oh well...

My mom came over that monday, THANK GAWD! Because during the day I was contacted by CNN in New York, USA.

I... had no words at this point, and more was to come... So we scheduled an interview late that evening my time. (After Alexandras bedtime.)

Mom helped me clean a bit and we hung out. Went to pick up Alexandra and we stopped at the playground, which Alexandra wanted. And when we hung out by the playground I got a phone call from one of my colleagues who jokingly called me the celebrity. Then she said that there'd been a call to them asking for my phone-number. From the swedish government. WHAT??? Of course it was fine if they called me. So they did.

And it was the Head of Staff at the Minister for Foreign Affairs Margot Wallström. Who called to give me an official thank you from the swedish government.

WHAT??!??! I was beyond happy I was sitting down at that point, let me tell you.

Mom stayed with us all day, until bedtime. I even dozzed off leaning against her at one point after dinner. It felt wonderful. I swear to anything holy, I'll always need mom. She is my piler of support when things storm around me. She, [livejournal.com profile] peting73 and my best friend [livejournal.com profile] spicehobbit.

Anyway, later that night CNN called me up on Skype, and everything got set up and all. They were very very professional and effective. The interviewer, live on air and everything, was Brooke Baldwin, apparently. I couldn't see. I only saw my screen, but apparently they had me on image on the show. They had to cut it short though, since Donald Trump announced new members of the White House staff. Which was fine, really!

You'd think that was the last of it, but no...

The day after, Tuesday, I was doing a live-thing on Facebook with a couple of people from The Swedish Institute who runs the @sweden twitter account and are responsibel for it. It was weird but also a lot of fun.

That, however, was the last of it!!!!

Today I've just stayed home and not done a damn thing. GEEZES CHRIST!

So... How was your weekend? X-D *LOL*

And here's all the links to everything I've done. Only thing I couldn't find a link for was the Norweigan newspaper. :-) In case you wanna read, listen or watch. If it's in swedish, I'll make a note for it.

All the interviews about the swedish incident aka #lastnightinsweden... )

Current siltation in the world... and for my friends...

I don't even know how to start this post, to be quite honest. I have such a hard time getting what I want to say into words.

Can I start with that I am quite horrified? And pissed off? Yeah, that works...

Because I am. It seems as if all them Trump-supporters haven’t ever seen a history book in their life. Because I see history repeating itself. And it scares the fuck out of me.

Little unimportant Sweden might not able to effect much of the US or world politics, but it sure as hell affects us! It effects the freaking WORLD! And the world is outraged.

But it also effects me on a more personal level. Because I have friends. Friends all over the world. In the USA to. Of various religions. Of various skin colours.

And their not safe. My friends, my wonderful friends from one of the biggest countries in the world, biggest and one of the most developed... are not safe.

I’ll repeat that.

Friends that I talk to each day nearly are not safe.

And rage and swear over it. I cry and feel hopeless. And there’s nothing I can do. I am stuck here in Sweden, safe and sound mind, but still.

Ugh.

I still have a hard time putting it into words.

So I’ll link to this blog that put it into words for me. Absolutely perfectly.

One more time...

So if you are a Trump supporter? Or think he makes sense? You can just get the flying fuck out of my life!!!

Fun Swedish Number calls, watching TV, family, work, fangirling, Prince...

I promised to say if I got any fun calls on The Swedish Number as a random swede. And I did some time ago actually. While doing dishes. In my pajamas. X-D

I had made myself available to take calls, and I got a call. And it was from a radio station in Paraguay. And I was suddenly live talking on the air.

...

Yes, I'm not even kidding. X-D We had a bit of a language problem since I couldn't speak spanish and they could barely speak english! *LOL* But we made do, and it worked out moderately fine. They wanted to know why I was taking calls, if I thought it was fun. Approximately where I lived in Sweden (so they could look on a map) and the best things I could recommend about Sweden (NATURE, NATURE, NATURE! And Allemansrätten!).

That was a FUN call! The guys were really cute. One of them could speak moderately well english. And I found out he'd learned it from movies. In particular, the Star Wars movies. Apparently such a big fan, he was called Jedi. Ha ha ha! SO AWESOME! They tracked my twitter down after I gave the name to them, so now I know what the station is called. Mandiorama! A bunch of true gentlemen, to be quite honest! So if you know spanish, well... ;-)

Here's their twitter: @Mandiorama and their Facebook: Mandiorama.

Since then I haven't taken that many calls, though. :-P I've amused myself to catch up on the the swedish TV show Let's Dance instead, which is the swedish version of Dancing with the stars. :-) It's very campy and cheesy and filled with clichés, but I can't help but love it.

I also follow a very nice documentary series that try to understand the many many beggers from Romania we have here in the city were I live, Borås. It has become a problem, and the question is HOW to help all these people the best? The documentary series is not saying it has an answer, it just wants to show that these are people too, they have a reason for being here and have lives like everyone else. It's gut-wrenching to watch, but important to, I believe.

What's more been going on? Not much. After Alexandra's run in with high fevers and that fever cramp, things has been going on as normal with her. Nothing strange there.

We visited mom and celebrated her birthday, which was GREAT! :-D When I asked mom what she wanted she said she wanted socks. OK then! The woman wanted socks, she’ll get socks. *LOL* So I bought a lot of fun ones from SockDreams. Made me giggle, and I knew mom would love it. :-)

Only problem was that for some reason they had some problem in the US, namely LA, when the package was to be shipped, so I didn’t get it until it was too late. And I’d ordered it with plenty time to! So she got some flowers instead and we decided she’d get her gift when next we meet.

Two days after we got home, her socks arrived. Which Alexandra thought was so much fun, so day after they’d arrived she decided that we were going to post grandma a package with her socks. *LOL* And Alexandra was SOOOO DETERMINED! So we wrapped them up, we sorta wrote a letter and after dinner we went to the nearest post office and posted it. Alexandra thought it was SO MUCH FUN!

Alexandra and the package to grandma! )

Silly girl. *lol* Mom loved to get a surprise package though, so I’d call it a success. :-)

Work, well… it’s insane as ever. Preparations for our move from our temporary premises is in full swing behind the scenes. I’ve seen furniture and shelves for the new library presented from four companies, and it looks wonderful. Once everyone else have decided what company they like the most, it’ll be decided and work to start furnish the school and library will start. This a slow process though, and I’m already stressed over August when school starts up again. (That’s healthy… not.) I’m really looking forward to have a totally fresh and new library though! :-D

When not working I’m totally fangirling online like always. A lot of time goes to roleplaying with @Duodeathstar. And to help [livejournal.com profile] tattooofhername with her MASSIVE fic Transition! Dark, so very dark a fic. But DAMN! It’s SO GOOD! Proud to be a part of that. :-D

Talking off fandom’s and such, one of my new friends on my friendslist, [livejournal.com profile] denorios, has written SUCH an interesting piece of meta on the evolution of fandoms. And it’s SO GOOD! You need to go read it stat! Who is the best fan? The one who followed the band/actor before they were popular? Or the fans that just discovered them? Or are ALL fans just as good? ;-)

What are your thoughts on the evolution of fandom?

You can probably guess my view on the matter. ;-)

Sad thing lately, and well… All of 2016 is all the artistic icons that keep dying this year. Latest in the list is Prince who died last night (my time).
He was such an amazing artist and seemed to have been an amazing human being to. I’m quite sure he’ll be greatly missed. Not only by fans, but family I’m sure.

Here’s Prince’s halftime show from SuperBowl 2007, which is so damn impressive. Pouring rain, lightning and thunder… And what does he do? Rock on in one hell of a halftime show on a slick stage with electric lights, playing several electric guitars and walking around on crazy high heels. The man rocked. Hands down.

There. Happy? *double-grumble*

Favourite Song(s): Too many to mention

3 Random Facts about you:
1. Was badly bullied as a kid but has since got over it, apart from one thing. I feel paniced everytime I try to do any form of exercise.

3. Got plenty of tattoos and piercings which the kids at school kinda like. :-) Especially the smaller ones.

Story behind your username:
Long story. I was elected to be a member of the Student Union Club The Sexmasters (no, got nothing to do with sex), and they thought it was funny to give me the nickname KSena. You always get a nickname given to you by the seniour members in the club. Anyway, where did they get the idea for KSena from then? Well, I am a diehard Xena-fan, a Xenaite. And KSena in swedish is pronouced the same way as Xena, so they thought that was fun. And there you go. Then I got myself a livejournal and wanted to use KSena as a username, but it was taken. So I threw in some extra letters making it kseenaa. And there you go!

1. Nickname(s): KSena, obviously. ;-)

2. Age: 37. Born 1977.

3. Location: Borås, Sweden.

4. Occupation: School-librarian.

5. Partner? Yes, [livejournal.com profile] peting73.

6. Kid(s): A daughter who had her second birthday beginning of August called Alexandra.

7. Brothers/Sisters: A brother four years younger than me.

8. Pets: Two black cats, Skuld and Verdandi.

9. List the 3-5 biggest things going on in your life:
Stressed out at work. SO MUCH TO DO!!! And no energy to do them.
My daughter. Things happening every damn day.
Family, trying to find time to visit them since most of them live about 2 hours away from here.
I did mention my work stressing me out, right?

Damn my life is boring.

10. Parents: Mother - who is even more crazy then me. Father - died at age 47 13 or so years ago.

11. Who are some of your closest friends?: [livejournal.com profile] spicehobbit, no contest. We got to know each other at school when we were both 13 and we're still the best of friends. She knows me better than I know myself sometimes! And then, of course, there's all my young friends at the Vampire-LARP Club that I love and adore.

12. What are some of the things you like most? My computer, my books, movies, LARP, cats, piercings, tattoos... I don't know what else to put.

13. A photo of yourself and anything else you want to say: I'm posting a photo shortly, don't have any available right here. Or you could go to my Instagram HERE. I'm sure there's a photo of me there somewhere and not only of my daughter...

The pre-birthday party and all that...

Yep. It ended up really fine, that pre-birthday party for Alexandra.

We went over to moms and took it easy the day before. Well, evening before more like. And then during the Saturday, we picked up the cakes that mom had ordered from a lovely little bakery in the village, and fixed everything up... Took care of Alexandra and well... It just was a lovely time of it all. Alexandra got to try something sweet for the first time, that is her cake... I made sure she was only in her diaper in her high chair and let her have it on the cake. I think she got two or three tiny mouthfuls in. The rest was... ALL over her! X-D And I mean that. From head to toe! Not even joking! *laughs* Thank heavens for IKEA high chairs, because they are darn easy to clean up after such a mess! She got lots of clothes as gifts, one handmade with kittens on it that I absolutely find adorable! :-D Not that many toys, and thankfully no soft toys... She got SOOOO many soft toys it is insane!

So all in all it was a success. :-)

And for those that were concerned in my last post about it, I did make a good point about that next year we'll be HERE. In OUR home. :-) I did point it out friendly enough, so no one was hurt or anything, and still I think I got the point got across. I suspect there'll be plenty visits next year. ;-) *happy*

Only sad thing was when we got into discussing the four big predators here in the North. That is: wolf, bear, wolverine, lynx. I love these animals. They are ABSOLUTELY gorgeous and by FAR my favorite wild animals ever. I do have a wolf tattooed on my shoulder/upper arm for a reason... My relatives, however, are mostly farmers. And to farmers any predators are the enemies, so while I am VERY happy the wolves are getting stronger and more plentiful here in Sweden, they are not. And are just as blunt and honest as me in their discussions, so yeah... :-/ Not so much fun to listen to. *shrug* But that was the only thing that put a damper on it. Thank heavens they didn't stay on that discussion for to long. :-P

Now I am preparing for the REAL birthday party on Friday, when Alexandras birthday is. She was, after all, born 35mins after midnight just when it had turned into 9th of August. :-)

I think I got all of it covered, cake, cookies and all. Cleaned the kitchen today, so it shines. And made sure the rest of the apartment ain't to much a mess. :-) So there's that.

AND! Since the big post-apocalyptic Fallout-LARP is this weekend as well, and I can't join, I did prepare some surprises for my good friend who I am doing some plotting with. ;-) I play his lover/mistress, and since I can't join the LARP this year I prepared some loveletters for his character. With some gifts in them... *wicked grin* He'll have a blast checking them out during the LARP! So I have to visit the grounds where the LARP is to take place, just to give the letters to the GM's/organizers. :-)

But that shouldn't take to long, and then... back to cleaning and baking!

August meme, take two! Two more answers!

All the questions! )

Question 03 - Your views on drugs and alcohol.

I think I am very swedish in my views of drugs and alcohol. Which makes sense. Since I am swedish. *lol* Anyway.

I wouldn't touch any form of drug with a ten foot pole. It just won't happen. I have no desire to try it and I think it is hella wrong to legalise it. It is DRUGS.

When it comes to alcohol though, the story is different. I don't mind alocohol at all. I've been drinking it since I was 16. Tried it when I was 15 (might have been even younger than that...) at home with my parents and grandparents. (Was grandpa who gave me my first shot, brännvin - spiced schnapps a hard liquor that is very common in Sweden. It was disgusting! X-D And he had a HUGE laugh!) So you wanna get drunk? That is fine. But you better be able to handle your liquor. I have no problem with acohol or drunk people. I DO, however, have problem with alcoholists and those who can't handle their drink. *shrug* Alcohol is very integrated in Swedish history and it's just an accepted part of everyday swedish life.

Question 04 - Your views on religion.

I wouldn't say I hate religion and religious people. That would be a lie. I am well aware of the fact that religion can help and give support to those that need it. What I do have a problem with though is when I am told you NEED religion or you are nothing. So not true. I see sects and churches that rule so much over peoples lives it is disgusting, all in the name of religion. I hate that God, Jehova, Allah or whatever you wanna call the higher deity is used to guilt people into doing things or not do things... "If you are not a good girl, you'll go to hell!" My ass, I say... And let me not even start all the shit that is done in the world today, and historically!, in the name of religion.

I am ever so grateful that state and church is far from each other today in swedish politics. And gets further away from each other year after year. THANK you for that, I say! Some God or another have nothing to do with how my country is run, thank you.

So what do I believe in? Nothing or everything or something in between. It's hard to explain, but the easiest thing is to say I am an atheist. It fits the best. *nods*

Boston.

This Boston bombings, gawd... I am so SO grateful that all my friends in and around Boston has checked in and are OK. I am very glad my host family that I lived with when living in the USA don't live there either. *shakes head* It's a crazy world folks. This happens all over the place. Every day. Every hour. Every min. :-/ We should be glad any of us have any compassion and empathy left to teach to our children.

Got this link, and I think it is brilliant. The Boston Bombings and the Cognitive Limtis of Empathy.

US election and life...

Just wanted to check in and say CONGRATS to the US! :-D Awesome! Barack Obama for four more years! So, so AWESOME! That President seriously rocks! :-D (As I think most of Europe thinks to... not sure, but I can guess... ;-) )

Today we've been at the Child Welfare Center for a checkup, and was told that Alexandra is doing AWESOMELY well! :-D So wonderful to hear that, I gotta say! She is strong, healthy and develops really quickly! Me = happy momma!

Oddly though, she has been in quite the mood lately... fussy during the day (after daddy [livejournal.com profile] peting73 has left for work, naturally...) which pretty much has kept me in the couch more or less all day, since the best place to be, and where she won't cry... is my lap. *sigh*

This is no good, since on Saturday we'll celebrate [livejournal.com profile] peting73s and his moms birthdays here, meaning the apartment needs a serious cleanup... :-/ A lot of relatives are coming over, so yes... VERY needed.

[livejournal.com profile] peting73 has promised to help before work tomorrow and all day Friday, so there's hope. I have promised to bake him his favorite cookies, so it will hopefully even out.

Seriously. WHAT THE FLYING FUCK WORLD.

"File-sharers, beware: By July 12, major US Internet service providers (ISPs) will voluntarily begin serving as copyright police for the entertainment industry, according to Cary Sherman, chief executive of the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). The so-called “six-strikes” plan is said to be one of the most effective anti-piracy efforts ever established in the US."

The article goes on to give details. After six notices, internet providers will decide to throttle a person's internet speed, or cut it off altogether. I don't know if they will crack down on torrents only, or if it is up to the internet provider. I get the sense it is up to the internet provider. So some people could get away with downloading non torrents, while others might get their internet service cut off. I urge you to click it and read, as we all know people who download.

No more downloading eps of your favorite shows for vidding, gifs, or fanfiction art. No more downloading screencaps possibly. I'm so sorry my friends. I don't even know if BT Guard will work to protect you, but I would google it if I were you. It is a professional service that supposedly can protect you from the invasive eyes of your internet provider.

Just, my friends, please make each other aware. Please be aware of the date JULY 12TH. Mark your calendar and double check with your internet provider by then. If you start receiving notices of downloaded activity, this is why. And your internet service could be throttled or cut off.

Idiotic me and pimping movies etc....

Note to self: YOU ARE AN IDIOT! *head-desk*

So, the apartment has looked like SHIT for quite some time. With cathair and (clean) litter from the cats litterbox all over the floor. Now. I hate that. I hate cleaning but seriously... I hate a messy apartment even more. So I decided to clean it out. Usually fixable in 3 days. I dusted two rooms Monday and one room Tuesday (after work).

And then today I dusted one room and the hallway. Only the floors left after that. The floors that were seriously dirty. So I needed to clear the floors of as much as possible so I could clean them. Which included lifting stuff and pushing stuff around....

Usually not a problem. But Nerd Jr is growing, and so is my belly... and while nothing is heavy in itself, it was A LOT of stuff I lugged around today. Idiotic.

Because now? Now it feels like I've run a marathon with my belly or something. It hurts. Like I have a bad case of muscle soreness after training or something. It is NOT comfortable! Nothing wrong with Nerd Jr I don't think though.... She/he is happily poking around in there.

[livejournal.com profile] peting73 will not be happy with me though. :-/ He has asked me to not lift anything heavy or do anything that might be painful.

Another note to self: Listen to that man. He is usually right. :-P

Tomorrow I am not gonna do shit. Only laundry, and that is easy. :-P

Anyway, have some fun links vids and stuff I did find today after I finished:

If you ever doubted that Swedens prisons are to slack and we can't reform heavy duty criminals, I give you this... from a news paper this week:

What Swedish prisoners do instead of running away... )

Reason I found that awesome little clip from a newspaper was because I read a bit about that rape in Sweden that Assange is under charge for... And really? This blog-post sums up my feelings on the matter perfectly:

Link: Some shit I'm sick of hearing regarding rape and Assange...

That's the seriousness of this post, now onwards to something fun and interesting instead!

Stumbled over this trailer to a french movie called Tomboy... And man. Now I really really want to see it! o.O

Tomboy trailer... )

LGBT-problems and kids... I really love to read books about that and to see movies about it to...

Another movie that has it's premiere in December (and I know [livejournal.com profile] spicehobbit will jizz all over this... Ehm...) is Les Miserables... I've read the book, seen the movie from 1998 and 2000 (none of them really good...) and I saw the musical live in Malmö in January. So to say I am curious on how this will work out... Especially with Hugh Jackman as Jean Valjean and Russel Crowe as Javert... Well, let's just say I am both worried and curious... But today? I saw a teaser. And HOLY FUCK! o.O THIS LOOKS GOOD! REALLY GOOD! Can NOT wait to see this!

Les Miserables Official Trailer... )

And try to see it in HQ, because gawd damn... o.O And here's the official site for the movie as well: Les Miserables Official Site.

Oh yeah. Hubby will have to babysit Nerd Jr in December because I am SO going to the movies then!

Then Jacki Chan has made a new movie! :-D And I do love Jackie Chan. :-) Especially in movies like this. So yeah. I'd love to see this to.

Chinese Zodiac with Jackie Chan )

Looks like such a fun action-movie! Just what I love with Jackie Chan! A great sense of humor and insane stunts and fighting scenes! :-D

Right. Now I think I'll answer some comments and then take my idiotic self and my achy belly to bed. :-P

CISPA is the new SOPA

Here's their next move: The Cyber Intelligence Sharing and Protection Act, or CISPA, would obliterate any semblance of online privacy in the United States.

And CISPA would provide a victory for content owners who were shell-shocked by the unprecedented outpouring of activism in opposition to SOPA and Internet censorship.

The House of Representatives is planning to take up CISPA later this month. Click here to ask your lawmakers to oppose it.

SOPA was pushed as a remedy to the supposed economic threat of online piracy -- but economic fear-mongering didn't quite do the trick.

So those concerned about copyright are engaging in sleight of hand, appending their legislation to a bill that most Americans will assume is about keeping them safe from bad guys.

This so-called cyber security bill aims to prevent theft of "government information" and "intellectual property" and could let ISPs block your access to websites -- or the whole Internet.

Don't let them push this back-door SOPA. Click here to demand that your lawmakers oppose CISPA.

CISPA also encourages companies to share information about you with the government and other corporations.

That data could then be used for just about anything -- from prosecuting crimes to ad placements.

And perhaps worst of all, CISPA supercedes all other online privacy protections.

Please click here to urge your lawmakers to oppose CISPA when it comes up for a vote this month.

Thanks for fighting for the Internet.

Anal sex and crazy ass women...

I don't know what is up, but I feel really tired this evening... And I don't even get why! It is not like I've done that much today. I actually worked for once! Wohoo!

I was only supposed to do 2 hours, since a librarian was on a meeting. Between 2pm and 4pm. Well, when I got ready to leave, another librarian caught up with me and asked if I could stay on until 7pm. Aaaand since I got no life really, I said sure. So I worked 3 more hours. In total 5 hours. Felt good. But I guess that is what makes me tired now, I don't know... :-P

I mean, I slept until 10am! Been sleeping in almost every day these days... I usually go up the same time as [livejournal.com profile] peting73 and since he's been sleeping in lately, well... :-P Dammit.

Anyhow!

I found these vids today that I wanted to share.

Gonna start off with this one that is a gay young man talking about anal sex hygiene... And he is so awesome! :-D I wonder how many slash-writers have thought about all this...? Considering the stories I read? NOT many! *lol* He put a smile on my face, he really did since he went through all the things you need to think about so very, very well. :-) Watch it! (Especially if you are a slash-writer... *grin*)

Anal Sex Hygiene )

And then after that, a less fun little thingy...

I don't know anything about the show 19 kids and counting, but apparently there is a mother in said show. Called Michelle Dugger. And her view on overpopulation is a bit... interesting, to say the least. Why do I get a feeling she is at a church similar to Sarah Palins church? Where they believe education is over-rated? No, seriously... This woman believes overpopulation is a lie, and that all of the WORLDS population can fit in the city Jacksonville... o.O I am not joking. Watch this.

I found the vid HERE, btw.

Well, over-population is a lie...  )

She is seriously scaring me... o.O So much... idiotic things coming out of that mouth...

I am impressed by the interviewer that actually manages to keep her cool while that woman spews her idiotic talk...

Right. I am seriously considering crawling into bed... :-P

VERY interesting documentary...

Dude. I just watched a documentary about Sarah Palin. A british documentary. Called Sarah Palin - you betcha!.

It was very interesting. The interviewer who traveled around Alaska interviewing people and tried getting an interview with Sarah herself was very polite. They were all open to find out who she was. Tried to talk to everyone. Very neutral and everything. Trying to find ALL sides of the view of Sarah Palin.

So it starts out neutral, even positive! But the more they dig around, the more ugliness they find...

And I gotta say... That is one SCARY woman... o.O I am glad she is far, far away in Alaska and not around here. And if she one day tries to become president? For GAWDS SAKE! Vote against her, will you?

Geezes... The apocalypse is coming? Only true Christians will survive? Only true faith is Christianity (think it is called revival-Christanity...) Thinking she is an anointed one...? No idea how Europe or East Asia looks like...? (Not interesting, since they are not "America", and hence the enemy...) Can't find on a map? Thinks education is overrated? Uses her positions in personal and family vendettas? Has followers online that threatens to kill people?

A scary, scary woman.... hiding behind a smile. *shakes head*

Trailer for Sarah Palin - you betcha! under here... )

Things that really REALLY annoy me!

You know... I really really like Twitter and Plurk and Tumblr. They are a lot of fun and an easy way to keep in contact with people and look at pretty pictures. And that is why I joined them. :-)

BUT! And here is the part I am annoyed with. There are a lot of those retweet/replurk/repost this that or this... or you are a bad person. Because there are people starving! Getting killed! Animals are abused! WE HAVE TO DO SOMETHING!!!

Yeah. I know. I FUCKING KNOW, ALRIGHT! I see it on the news and on the headlines. News flash. It is what the world looks like today. Geezes... And stop guilt-tripping people to retweet/replurk/repost whatever it is you want to save right THIS MINUTE!!! It just pisses me off. I am sorry, but it does. *growl* Does that mean I don't give a fuck because I don't retweet/replurk/repost your tweet/plurk/post? NO! It doesn't. Try getting that into your head, general you.

And for GAWDS sake! If you don't like a service, stop complaining. And if the only thing you can say about a fandom is negative, then why are you in said fandom? No really? And now people will feel I am aiming at them, and I am not. I have seen this in ALL the fandoms I am in. RoS, Xena, Buffy, Pirates, Tokio Hotel. I mean, WHY? Seriously? *shakes head* It makes me wonder....

You know why I am involving myself in a fandom? Whatever fandom it is? To relax. To look at pretty pictures. To read fanfic. To get to know people who like the same things I like. You know why I am on Twitter/Plurk/Tumblr? To relax. To look at pretty pictures. To connect to even more people with the same interests as me.

I did NOT join them for negativity and to see the same thing I see on the news every single day.

*sigh*

Sorry for the rant, but I just had to get that off my chest. It has annoyed me for quite some time now....

*tries to find her way back to her happy place*

Game of thrones, internet-politics and wicked Disney-fanart...

Dat ass... needs a church of it's own. I had no idea the pic I posted of Khal Drogo's ass was from episode two of Game of Thrones. Apparently it was. Holy... o.O I'll just... be over here. Worshiping Khal Drogo's ass.

I think I am turning into a Khal Drogo and Daenerys Targaryen fan. And I ain't even sorry.

Talking about something totally different...

Seen this? Facebook spies on phone users' text messages, report says

Knew there was (yet another) reason I don't have a Failbook. :-/ *shakes head* I have just a few social network apps. Twitter, Plurk and Tumblr. That's enough for me. Let me know if anyone else is a spy, yeah?

Talking about social networking making an impact... I know there has been a lot of my friends on my f-list that has bitched and moaned about Livejournal and the russians and the DDOS attacks and the changes and I don't even know what... Well. You know what. Livejournal is important. And I am not talking about fanfiction and fandom-movements and such. Not at all. I am talking political and a platform for free speech. Don't know what I am talking about? Read this:
LiveJournal: Russia's unlikley internet giant...

There is a reason why I don't mind supporting LiveJournal in any small way I can. By having paid RP-accounts (at least the ones I use regularly) and having extra userpics. Of course it is nice to have the extra bling, but... *shrug* It'll help keep LJ out there. :-)

Talking of journals, I have deleted my Dreamwidth account since I was far from comfortable there. So if you had me friended there, that would be the reason why I am gone from your DW flist. Or whatever it is called there.

I had a journal on Greatest Journal (dead site) and on Insane Journal to, but I've deleted everything. This is where it's at. Only here. Livejournal is my home. Take it or leave it.

And again, something totally different. :-)

I found some really REALLY awesome alternative takes on the Disney princesses the other day... that really talks to the darkfic fan in me. :-) I fell head over heals for this artwork.

Dark Disney-princesses? You bet your sweet ass... )
All credit to Jeffrey Thomas aka Jeftoon01 on DeviantArt. (Both clickable for BIG!)

Damn, I love these. :-D And he has all these short dark background stories for nearly each and everyone to (Maid Marion HERE) that makes them even MORE awesome! Takes the classical story as it is... and then in the middle of it something don't go as planned... and things twists to the dark. Fucking amazing. My favorite is clearly Maid Marion. Such a badass.

Right, I am rambling. But it is in the middle of the night, so maybe not so strange. ;-) I'll just crawl to bed then. :-P

The Slippery Slope

Originally posted by [livejournal.com profile] beren_writes:
Okay, I said I wasn't going to do this because Soph said it so well over here Censorship – credit card companies are burning our books, but I have to have my say as well.

If you are not aware what this is about, last week Paypal sent out emails to several of their clients (including Smashwords and AllRomance) telling them they would stop their service if they continued to sell erotic books with rape, incest, psuedo incest or bestiality in them (this includes weres in animal form). Then they gave them just days to deal with it.

This is censorship, plain and simple and its a slippery slope. What if they take a dislike to vampire fic next?

I don't tend to read these sub-genres in original fiction because a whole heap of it is crap and I don't like rape fic. However, then I thought of it in fanfic terms. Hypothetically, if those of us who read fanfic were to pay for it (we don't because that would be illegal) Paypal's actions would have just wiped out 50% of the Supernatural fandom, about 80% of the Tokio Hotel fandom, 25% of the Avengers fandom (Loki/Thor anyone?) not to mention a good percentage of the kink memes out there and that's just four examples I thought up in about ten seconds.

Paypal say they are reacting to the credit card companies. Well frankly it's about time we said no to the credit card companies; how dare they try and tell us what we're allowed to read!

Please consider signing the petition below and register you opinion.

ACTA in a Nutshell –

What is ACTA?  ACTA is the Anti-Counterfeiting Trade Agreement. A new intellectual property enforcement treaty being negotiated by the United States, the European Community, Switzerland, and Japan, with Australia, the Republic of Korea, New Zealand, Mexico, Jordan, Morocco, Singapore, the United Arab Emirates, and Canada recently announcing that they will join in as well.

Why should you care about ACTA? Initial reports indicate that the treaty will have a very broad scope and will involve new tools targeting “Internet distribution and information technology.”

What is the goal of ACTA? Reportedly the goal is to create new legal standards of intellectual property enforcement, as well as increased international cooperation, an example of which would be an increase in information sharing between signatory countries’ law enforcement agencies.

Essential ACTA Resources

  • Read more about ACTA here: ACTA Fact Sheet
  • Read the authentic version of the ACTA text as of 15 April 2011, as finalized by participating countries here: ACTA Finalized Text
  • Follow the history of the treaty’s formation here: ACTA history
  • Read letters from U.S. Senator Ron Wyden wherein he challenges the constitutionality of ACTA: Letter 1 | Letter 2 | Read the Administration’s Response to Wyden’s First Letter here: Response
  • Watch a short informative video on ACTA: ACTA Video
  • Watch a lulzy video on ACTA: Lulzy Video

Say NO to ACTA. It is essential to spread awareness and get the word out on ACTA.

Two memes and annoying Swedish politics...

1.
Pick up the nearest book to you. Turn to page 45.
The first sentence describes your sex life in 2012.

Only book-like thing on my desk: The programme for Les Miserables in Malmö... On page 45? A photo off Jean Valjean carrying Marius through the sewers to save him... Hmmm... Not sure how to interpret that. X-D

2.
the problem with lj: we all think we are so close, but really, we know nothing about each other. so i want you to ask me something you think you should know about me (real life or fandom related, i don't care), something that should be obvious, but you have no idea about. ask away.

afterward, post this in your lj and find out what people don't know about you.

please feel free to ask whatever you want. i will be honest but i reserve the right to not answer a question if i feel uncomfortable with the topic...

And don't hold back. I am, as you all know, quite honest. :-) So give me your best shot, OK? :-D

Right, and now for something less fun. :-P I mean, Sweden is a pretty good place to live no matter your sexual orientation or your religious beliefs... But right now? Now I am somewhat ashamed of being swedish. :-P It doesn't happen often, but right now I am.

If you are a transgender person in Sweden today looking to legally change your gender, in the 21st century you are still forced to undergo surgery that will render you permanently infertile and forever unable to have children. This barbaric practice of forced sterilizations has to stop!

The majority of the Swedish parliament is in favor of modifying this law - but up until now Prime Minister Fredrik Reinfeldt has let a small conservative party block this long awaited reform.

Bah, I say. :-/ Shame on our government. I'd be really greatful if my friends list could take the time to sign this petition to give Prime Minister Fredrik Reinfeldt a big fat kick in the ass...

Stop forced sterilization in Sweden

Thanx. :-)

I can't with the American government.

This post is public; feel free to link people to it, pass it around, etc etc etc.

To read more about this Bill, there's a full article over on Oh No They Didn't-Political, which can be found here.

If you can, please contact your House Representative. If you don't know their number, there's a page on Tumblr that will connect you to them. There's also a link entitled, "Email them", where you can sign the petition.

DemandProgress.org had a petition going, but they turned it in to Congress yesterday--while standing alongside Congressmembers Zoe Lofgren and Darrell Issa... with well over 500,000 signatures.

This bill is holding hearings today. Do you realize what will happen if this passes? Take a second and think about what this means to you on a national level; on a personal level; on an interpersonal...hell, even in regards to something like a fandom.. This bill is big, guys. :(

Edit 11/16; 5:15PM: If this Bill passes, here are some sites that could potentially be blocked off to the American people:

-Facebook
-Livejournal
-Twitter
-The Pirate Bay
-Megaupload
-Megavideo
-Mediafire
-Wordpress
-Almost any forum site
-Tumblr

...Well, that's nice. :|

Well that is just fucked up. :-/ For gawds sake, USA!!! STOP being such a fucking world police! :-/ You are NOT the greatest country in the world! Your laws are NOT the best! Other countries DO exist, thank you! Now leave the rest of the world the FUCK alone! *pissed*

Edit to clarify: It is the government and the policicians I am pissed at. NOT the US-people. Really. You should all know me better than that.

Life... Christmas prep... and so many pimping stuff...

Good gawd, I was up early this morning... :-P *collapses* Not amused. :-/

Ah well, not much to do when one has to run to appointments left and right. :-P Worked this evening at the library to, so I feel pretty much knackered now, as they say. I've come to really enjoy working there though, I must say! The other librarians are a bit... weird crew as well..... *grin* Kinda makes me fit right in, yeah? Although I doubt any of the other old ladies are as much of a perv as me... Well. You never know, but that is my guess. *grins*

I can only hope that I'll be allowed to stay there. I really REALLY like working at that library. It is quite big, and you never know what you'll get to do each day. :-) One of them old ladies is about to retire from work shortly and I'll cover for her in December and January while she finishes off all her paperwork and other stuff... I think she is around 67 years old... One can only hope I do it good enough so that they can hire me instead... *crosses fingers*

Oh, and if you want to have a Christmas card from me this year, comment on THIS post I just made, so I won't miss you! :-D

Still have so much stuff to share! So I'll save the other voice memes / audio memes (whatever you wanna call them) for another day. And share all this stuff first.

First some serious and... well, not so fun stuff. It is all interesting none the less.

Don't remember where I found this... but it sure saddened me that things like this still happen in this day and age.... And yes, I found it on September 11th of this year.
Some real Shock and Awe: Racially profiled and cuffed in Detroit

Then I found this blog post... Which... is mostly interesting I think. It all depends where you are yourself, I think, how you read this post. Make sure to read some of the comments to. They are equally interesting.
A message to woman from a man: You are not "crazy"

And to end the serious pimping part of this post... I have this analogy... I bet you've seen it before. And I both laugh and shake my head at the insane world we live in. Because it is true, isn't it?
A useful rape analogy

Now for some more fun stuff that'll hopefully make you smile after all that heavy serious stuff... interesting as it is, one shouldn't forget to smile to. :-)

This vid though staggers between serious and just... down right fucking amazing... Talk about overcoming obstacles and getting a wonderful life! And reaching your goals despite it all!!! I am amazed by this man! So gorgeous in his own right to... My, my...
Emmanuel Kelly's audition at The X Factor 2011 )

Really fucking amazing, right? I dare anyone to not be touched after watching that...

And you might remember that me and [livejournal.com profile] spicehobbit watched the movie Thor, and promptly mocked it to hell and back? Well, now the movie The Avengers comes out and... I do have a thing for movies based on comics, so I think I'll watch this to. Also, I do have a thing for watching Samuel L Jackson go badass on your ass... Just saying. *lol* Looks like it could be a fun movie. :-)
Marvel's The Avengers... official trailer... )

And lastly, just to put that final smile on your face...

This really and seriously made me laugh my ass off... Hell, it even made [livejournal.com profile] peting73 laugh his ass off! X-D And it is geared towards women, not men!!! Ha ha ha!!!

Because, you know... I have NOOOO problem with men feeling themselves up, as you all should know after being on my flist for awhile... Cover it up with breast cancer awareness all you want. It is still men feeling each other up... and not taking it seriously at all. X-D I love on this SO HARD!!!
Rethink Breast Cancer presents: Your Man Reminder... )

(And yeah, I downloaded that app... It is for the LULZ, let me tell you!!! X-D I am laughing my ass off everytime it has a hot guy remind me to check my boobs...)

Got some music-vids I wanted to share to, but I'll save those for tomorrow. :-)

Have a happy Halloween!
