This is KSena

Usually a friendly sort. Be nice to me, and I am nice to you. Here I ramble on about me, life, work and fandoms. I am a fan of Robin of Sherwood, Xena: Warrior Princess, Buffy: the Vampire Slayer, Pirates of the Caribbean, Tokio Hotel and Sons of Anarchy. I don't apologize for anything I write here. This is my mind. And you entered it. Welcome.

Pick up the nearest book to you. Turn to page 45.
The first sentence describes your sex life in 2012.

Only book-like thing on my desk: The programme for Les Miserables in Malmö... On page 45? A photo off Jean Valjean carrying Marius through the sewers to save him... Hmmm... Not sure how to interpret that. X-D

2.
the problem with lj: we all think we are so close, but really, we know nothing about each other. so i want you to ask me something you think you should know about me (real life or fandom related, i don't care), something that should be obvious, but you have no idea about. ask away.

afterward, post this in your lj and find out what people don't know about you.

please feel free to ask whatever you want. i will be honest but i reserve the right to not answer a question if i feel uncomfortable with the topic...

And don't hold back. I am, as you all know, quite honest. :-) So give me your best shot, OK? :-D

Right, and now for something less fun. :-P I mean, Sweden is a pretty good place to live no matter your sexual orientation or your religious beliefs... But right now? Now I am somewhat ashamed of being swedish. :-P It doesn't happen often, but right now I am.

If you are a transgender person in Sweden today looking to legally change your gender, in the 21st century you are still forced to undergo surgery that will render you permanently infertile and forever unable to have children. This barbaric practice of forced sterilizations has to stop!

The majority of the Swedish parliament is in favor of modifying this law - but up until now Prime Minister Fredrik Reinfeldt has let a small conservative party block this long awaited reform.

Bah, I say. :-/ Shame on our government. I'd be really greatful if my friends list could take the time to sign this petition to give Prime Minister Fredrik Reinfeldt a big fat kick in the ass...

Stop forced sterilization in Sweden

Thanx. :-)

Your link didn't seem to work. Try again. And I have to say, I am honestly shocked. This law really contradicts my view of Sweden. I had no idea.

Oh crap! Link-fail! Fixed it, so now it works. :-P

And yes. I mean, we are pretty open minded here... Sure, there are problems here to... Like everywhere. Hate-crimes. Neo-nazism. Such things. But over all, it is a pretty open-minded country to live in. There are a lot of laws to protect minorities and various sexual orientations. But this? This baffles me. And I LIVE here!

#1 for me:

From Bioinformatics and Computation Biology Solutions Using R and Bioconductor by Robert Gentleman, the first sentence [the one that describes my sex life]:

"Next compute the median value across arrays for each gene, m_g, oh baby yeah that's right, and define the relative expression as M_gi = Theta_gi - m_g, which I hope is good for you because its making me so hot."

I would like to know if "real life" friends know about you reading slash fiction (other than hubby -- if he knows??), and if so, what did these people say?

Hubby, [livejournal.com profile] peting73 he knows. VERY well... You should hear the discussions we have here sometimes. He is a tried man. *lol* I can sit read a fic (and remember, I prefer dark-fic) and I get to... well, either a dark torture part or a sex part or whatever... where the main characters are doing something I just don't quite get... Because I am woman. Hubby and me have our computers next to each other, so then I usually poke him and ask, conversably: "Peting... Can the male body do this? / Survive this?" And he either answers "Yes." or "No." and then calmly explains why, without raising an eyebrow.

Might add, he knows I am bi to, and yes... We've shared pornsites and discussed women... (We both prefer the curvalicious body-type... Tits and ass.)

All my RL friends know I am reading fanfiction, yes. Some of them runs for the hills when I tease them about the fact there is homoerotic fanfiction about EVERYTHING these days... some even challenge me to find fanfic about various books/movies/games/tv-shows/what-have-you! X-D Especially my LARP-friends. [livejournal.com profile] spicehobbit who is my best friend is as much of a slash-fan as me. And it is all thanx to another friend of me, [livejournal.com profile] chigrima (who I wrote my masters thesis with) that I slipped into this thing with slash-fiction. :-D

My mom, brother and the rest of my crazy ass huge extended family also knows I am bi and that I love reading stories about homosexual love and romance... Not specifically fanfic, but still. :-)

What? Told you I am an honest sort! *lol*

Oh... Oh... Now THAT is a very, very trixy question. I do try to read a lot of books... Since, you know... I should. It is kinda part of my profession, even if I don't read books that are supposed to be high culture, that has gotten prizes and such...

Anyway, when it comes to books, I read Ozzy Osbournes biography, I am Ozzy (http://www.amazon.com/I-Am-Ozzy-Osbourne/dp/B006G7Y7GY/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1326838760&sr=8-1), that just had me go "how the Heck did that body survive...?" Then I read Nikki Sixx biography, The Heroin Diaries (http://www.amazon.com/Heroin-Diaries-Year-Life-Shattered/dp/1416511946/ref=sr_1_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1326838807&sr=1-1). And after reading that... I literary had my yaw at the floor... and couldn't get it up for weeks... My. Gawd. NO ONE in their right mind would put themselves through that.... NO ONE SHOULD have to survive that. Holy shit... Read it, is all I say...

When it comes to fanfiction, I'd say a reader effected me the most. Raiju (http://www.fiction.tokiohotelfiction.com/viewuser.php?uid=6725). I stumbled upon her stories Obloquy (http://www.fiction.tokiohotelfiction.com/viewstory.php?sid=12946) and it's sequel What patience earns (http://www.fiction.tokiohotelfiction.com/viewstory.php?sid=14801). I think I saw up reading for nearly 24 hours just to finish those off... They really really touched me. (Was a good thing I was unemployed at the time.) Currently I am reading her story King of Kingz (http://fiction.tokiohotelfiction.com/viewstory.php?sid=16748). I actually fear finishing it off, it has such an impact on me...

I adore King of Kingz! I always read it when I go on the train to visit my dad over the summer. It's so long and so emotionally impacting, omg. It is the best fanfiction I have ever read. I love that you love it too! Good luck.

I'm attracted to survival, drug, psychological, and apocalypse stories... and it sounds like you like those too!

Well, I am a misery addict. I won't lie. I love stories with misery and shit in it. The darker the better. I am a very weird woman, I know. :-P

Ah yes.... My LARP adventures! *lol* :-D

Well, I've always been a nerd, reading fantasy books and such... so when I moved to this city to start studying without knowing a soul, of course I gravitated towards such people here to. :-) I got a friend at school that was as nuts as me... No wait, she was worse! X-D *lol* Anyway, I'd never LARPed or done any regular pen-paper roleplaying or even done any computer-gaming! But she knew the LARPers here, and wondered if I wanted to try it? I was all over it, and came with her... The rest as they say, is history... ;-) I got so, so hooked from that first night!

Tough question. I can't just pick one.

My mother, of course. And my brother and his family. All four of them. :-) And Peting, my beloved hubby (not married) AND my best friend in the whole wide world... My sister in all but blood, [livejournal.com profile] spicehobbit. :-)

Better relationship...? Honestly? I can't think of any. Since I am so honest with everyone, they usually end up being honest with me to. :-) Maybe my LJ-friends? I sure would love to just sit down with each and everyone of you... have a drink and just talk. :-)

Oh, I hope so to. Very much. :-/

Well, see... Even saying what my favorite movie is, is not easy to answer. *lol*

Anyway, let's see...

First favourite I ever had was Robin Hood Prince of thieves (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0102798/)... Now, I know it is a very, very cheesy flick, but I was young and my best friend and I devoured everything with this movie, and we've always been Robin Hood fans in any way shape or form, TV-series, books, historical what have you...

Another favorite that I can rewatch again and again is Gladiator (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0172495/). Damn. I love that movie. So epic. Not much else to say, really.

And last, but definitely not least... The Lord (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0120737/) of the (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0167261/) Rings Trilogy (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0167260/). Yep. All three. And I do prefer the extended versions. ;-) Don't think I have to explain why, do I? :-) I can't wait to see The Hobbit (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0903624/) to. :-D

If you didn't get it from that, lets just say I much prefer adventure, fantasy, scifi and such.... Fuck romantic movies. Don't like that. X-D

Oh, I forgot one, dammit! X-D I love, LOVE the movie Braveheart (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0112573/) as well. Such a fantastic and brilliant movie.

and i signed the petition for ya, you knew i would. =)
sweden is still a great country, though. be proud your'e swedish! the government recognizes that it's not a nice thing and may take steps to remedy it- and other than that sweden's pretty awesome form what i hear. don't feel too bad. :P

On might think that is a tough question, but it really is not.

My mom still lives where I grew up, so I do get tide-bits of gossip from her.

I know one of my first bullies, Zacharias, ended up owning the pool place in the little town... which had so much coke in it sold and used it was literary crawling out of the walls... or so I was told. From what I heard he also ended up in a couple of relationships where he beat the shit out of the girl in question. :-/ Yep. He ended up jail. I don't know if he is still there, but from all that coke? Probably a loooooong time. Swedish drug-laws are HARD (as they should be). To be fair, he had a really, REALLY shitty childhood, but still. :-P He used to hit me, beat on me and throw things at me. Only one that used physically violence towards me. Left me with a scar in my right eyebrow from a chair he threw at my face when I was 11 or 12. The eyebrow looks a bit thinner and edgy from it, sorta... Hard to explain.

Then there is Dennis. Now, he was interesting. When you were alone with him (we went with the same school bus) he was a bit shy and quite. Not bad at all. Could talk to him and everything. But when he got together with his friend Färes... All shit went lose... They used to throw obcene names after me and throw used snuff (a sort of tobacco you have under your lip) after me, spit after me, show me into walls... I know Dennis tried to get his life around after school, short cute bad guy, but he ended up in the wrong crowd and raped a mentally handicapped girl. Prison again. :-/ I really really hope he managed to get his life around after that. I never thought it was anything wrong with him, but that he was pushed to do it from his friends. Färes, I know ended up a criminal as well. Not sure if he ended up in prison or not though.... Both of them had a tough childhood.

And then there was Mårten. One of the last bullies I had after me. When he was a teen back then, he broke into buildings, stole ciggerates and alcohol and such... drank a lot, took cars for joy-rides before he had a drivers-licence... He to threw obscene names after me and threw disgusting used snuff after me to... But he, unlike the other three, turned his life around quite quickly. Only a year or so after school he went into the Swedish Army (like all boys between 19-20 years old), and then he went on a mission for the UN. Apparently that changed him, because just before I moved away from the little town, he had come back from said mission... and when we meet? He apologized to me. :-) Only one who ever did, but it was worth sooooo much. :-D

Those three up there are the ones it ended up the worst for. The other guys and girls I have seen around the little town where mom still lives work at factories or in car shops as mechanics... stuff like that. Became parents early in life... Nothing special, really. Driving around in big american cars, trying to look cool in the little town, drinking beer on the weekends... *shrug* I am beyond happy I moved away from there.

wow.. of course, you grew up in a small town: i forgot. all the kids that bullied me were swallowed up by the city, no idea what happened to them. sounds like the ones that gave you the worst of it GOT the worst of it. but, its' nice to know that some people can be reformed.. circa Draco =) (wait, did you read harry potter?)

Oh yeah, I did. A really small town. Tiny even. So if my old bullies and even mates are still there? Then mom knows what's happened and what they've been up to. It is a good and bad part about growing up in a tiny town. Everyone knows everyone. Morgan (aka Mårten... I forgot his name there for a second... :-P It is really Morgan), he really surprised me, you know? I never in a million years thought he'd apologize to me. But there you go. Of course, girls bullied me to, but that was more the silent treatment. No one talked to me or acknowledged me. So it is hard to pinpoint any exakt people who did that, since pretty much all girls (except [livejournal.com profile] spicehobbit) did that.

Well, what did you send to me? A package? :-D Or just a card? I'll check my pile of cards and see if yours are in there! :-D
