VERY interesting documentary...

Dude. I just watched a documentary about Sarah Palin. A british documentary. Called Sarah Palin - you betcha!.

It was very interesting. The interviewer who traveled around Alaska interviewing people and tried getting an interview with Sarah herself was very polite. They were all open to find out who she was. Tried to talk to everyone. Very neutral and everything. Trying to find ALL sides of the view of Sarah Palin.

So it starts out neutral, even positive! But the more they dig around, the more ugliness they find...

And I gotta say... That is one SCARY woman... o.O I am glad she is far, far away in Alaska and not around here. And if she one day tries to become president? For GAWDS SAKE! Vote against her, will you?

Geezes... The apocalypse is coming? Only true Christians will survive? Only true faith is Christianity (think it is called revival-Christanity...) Thinking she is an anointed one...? No idea how Europe or East Asia looks like...? (Not interesting, since they are not "America", and hence the enemy...) Can't find on a map? Thinks education is overrated? Uses her positions in personal and family vendettas? Has followers online that threatens to kill people?

A scary, scary woman.... hiding behind a smile. *shakes head*

Turning Swedens flag upside down wouldn't make a difference! *lol*

Yeah, it was... pretty insane. I had pretty much my yaw at the floor at times thinking is she for REAL?!?!?! And she has so, SO many supporters! o.O Pretty much as scary as Rick Santorum... Because, dude... The things I've heard that man say... o.O

No wonder the view of the USA are a bit... interesting here in Sweden (can't speak for the rest of Europe). And still so many US-people get pissed at me when I point it out. Hey. I can only say what I hear on the radio, see on TV and read in the news-papers.

The US Flag code is actually fairly specific; displayed upside down with the stars in the lower left signals "an American in distress", within the parameter of a hostile environment. I daresay these people are a fair reason to fly it in such a way.

Oh really? I didn't know! When I was in the US I only got told to make sure the flag didn't touch the ground when I put it out on the house or took it down in the evening. But that's it.

Sweden don't have codes like that. Not many at least. If you have a flagpole with a flag on it, take the flag down at sundown. And don't burn the flag. That's it, I think. :-)

Welcome to the USA, where we give you Sarah Palin, Michelle Bachmann, Rick Perry, Rick Santorum, Ron Paul and Newt Gingrich, all past, present or wannabe saviors of truth, justice and the American Way.

I don't, for the freaking life of me, know how she got chosen as a VP candidate in 2008; McCain's campaign was guilty of gross negligence when it came to checking her out, 'vetting' her as they say. They saw a pretty lady who had 'presence' who had been governor of a very 'male' state, Alaska, and that was it. She could not have possibly opened her mouth before being offered the position or people should have run screaming.

Yeah, I am just.... HOW? If the USA is so damn great and the land of the free and everything (I don't know your anthem from the top of my head), then... how can these people get into such powerful positions? I just... don't get it?

I've lived in the USA for a year. I really liked it. Everyone was so friendly, the people are really awesome! And I was welcomed with open arms everywhere (I lived in Londonderry, New Hampshire). Not kidding. Even if I was SERIOUSLY freaked out with your patriotism (no offense).

I mean, there are clearly sane people in the USA. Like your current President. But how come these people get so much power? I just... don't get it...

*tries to figure it out* *fails*

Anyone who calls her son Trig (?) is automatically deeply suspicious.

Trig as in trigger, yeah? No wonder considering how AWESOME she seems to think it is with weapons and hunting and I don't even wanna know what. :-/

Well, it kinda freaked me out like you wouldn't believe to see how many followers she has! o.O And that she has followers on Facebook and Twitter who pretty much go out and threaten people as soon as she lets it slip that she dislikes them... I mean, WTH? o.O

No way will Sarah Palin ever become President. She's currently luxuriating in a million-dollar TV show on Fox news where she can spew her opinions all she wants and never has to do any real work, including pointing out where Russia is on a map. I love this country, but seriously. Sarah Palin? WHY, John McCain? Why??

[identity profile] kseenaa.livejournal.com 2012-04-01 11:23 pm (UTC)(link)
Well, it seems to be a running thing... since now all I see is the idiotic things that Rick Santorum says instead. And he is JUST as bad! Or not worse, I don't even know... The insanity. :-/

:P

What's wrong with Rick Santorum? We don't need birth control. Didn't you even LISTEN to anything Michelle Dugger said?
