I AM NOT DEAD! I swear!

Neither is anyone else in this nerdy household.

Even if [livejournal.com profile] peting73 almost ended up in the doghouse again... Yeah, we were sick this weekend. Again. First Alexandra. She got her first two teeth the other day. (YAY!) And then she started puking. (Crap.) And not many hours later, so did [livejournal.com profile] peting73. And after midnight, so did I. FUN TIMES! Not. So since the only one that got any sleep was Alexandra, we called in the cavalry, that is... My MIL. Because she is awesome and came over and took care of Alexandra A WHOLE DAY so both me and [livejournal.com profile] peting73 could sleep and heal in peace. Thank gawd for that.

Right, so that was this weekend. I know I've been MIA like fuck. Reason? Well, apart from being sick, I've just kept busy. I don't have that many hours on the computer. And since Alexandra got her teeth, well... She just don't wanna sleep. She don't wanna eat. And she pukes in the evenings. I am worried, and when I am worried I try to relax during the evenings with fanfic.

So I do that, read fanfic. When really, I should try to read up on my F-list. I am so behind it is ridiculous. And I do so very much apologize for that. If there is anyone that wants to know? I have NO IDEA how I'll get caught up. None. I mean, even if I spend ALL MY TIME reading my f-list, I don't know when or if I'll get caught up. And sometimes I'd like to do other things on my computer to. I know, shocking. *sigh*

And then the Georg FQF will be posted... Although I doubt that will push me to far behind, since not many prompts has been picked up. Unsurprisingly. So maybe I won't be pushed back to far.

As long as I don't get sick again... *crosses fingers* I bet it is Alexandra that keeps dragging those germs home... *sigh*

I was planning to get a photo of my tattoo to post today, but alas... That hasn't happened yet. We're going to visit my brother on Sunday (hopefully) and maybe he can help us take a good photo of it with [livejournal.com profile] peting73s brilliant camera... and so you can see how awesome our tattoos look next to each other to. It is almost fully healed now. So glorious. Hard to not show it off, so when I was at the library last with Alexandra I talked to the librarians there that I know, and they to found it absolutely gorgeous and said such a tattoo would most likely NOT hold me back when looking for a job as a librarian. At least not in this town. Felt WONDERFUL to hear! :-D

My brother came to visit a week or two ago to with his kids and also my mom. That was AWESOME! :-D So much fun! I love his kids, they are SO clever, it is scary. I am (apparently) the cool aunt with the cool computer and all stuff, so they got help to start playing kid games online on our computers. His daughter is six, and his soon four. And they manage perfectly on their own (we just supervised from afar, so they didn't get into anything not very kid-friendly... it is OUR computers after all...). Tilda, his daughter six years old, manage to find kid games on Google on her own and to help her brother to! She hasn't even started school yet! Geezes... I am not sure if I look forward to or fear the fact that Alexandra will most likely be even worse when she grows up...

Talking of using your computer, I haven't used it very wisely some time now. I had this pile of papers on my desk. My "to-do-pile". Well. STUPID ME! I had a bunch of bills in it. And I forgot about them. Out of sight, out of mind, right? Fuck. So when I finally sat down to take care of the mess (that the cats have used as a bed), most of them were over-due, and will therefor cost more. IDIOTIC! I mean, it ain't as if we are starving here, but we aren't exactly swimming in money either. SO STUPID! *head-desk*

Also, [livejournal.com profile] spicehobbit, my dear best friend, is a horrible enabler. And should be spanked. Because not only is she a Downton Abbey fan, and has all the seasons on DVD... she threw them at me and promptly told me to watch them. So I did. Damn. It is a very good show! But then again, anything with Maggie Smith in it is bound to be glorious. And then... Then the little minx found another fangirl at her work. And considering the fact [livejournal.com profile] spicehobbit works as a cleaning lady at the hospital, well... I bet cleaning those boring corridors got a whole lot more fun! Because now those two walk around discussing Supernatural together! X-D And [livejournal.com profile] spicehobbit got to borrow the whole series from her workmate, one season at a time! So now we watch the first two and the last two episodes together, while we rush through the rest on our own, one of us at a time. *lol* So currently we are at season 3. I have watched all of it EXCEPT the last two episodes (NO SPOILERS!). It is a really good show, but it should have the under-title ANGST! *lol* So far, so good. We'll work our way through the rest of the series to, I am sure. :-)

I don't even know what I've been doing and why I haven't been posting... I just know that I've been all over the place lately. *sigh* As if this post didn't prove that. *lol*

Over and out. For now. *HUGS EVERYONE*

I'd written up half an intropost of sorts... and then lost the draft. Well, dammit! *lol* Oh well. Let's see if I can do it again...

Me

I am born 19th of July 1977, making me 35 years old. I grew up on the countryside, but now lives in a city. And very happy about that! My hobbies include fangirling online, reading books, watching movies and TV-shows, gaming (WoW), LARP, roleplaying (online or pen-paper), hanging out with family and friends or just being plain lazy. :-D

Family

I am a new mom, since my daughter Alexandra ([livejournal.com profile] mini_viking for photos...) was born 9th of August. I've been with my fiancé/hubby since 2003, and we do love each other just as much today as we did then. Now it just has added to it what with being parents. :-) And no, we ain't married. It took me 6 years wait to get the first ring, so I guess paitence is a virtue. ;-)

Then there's mom. She is as insane as me, and with a mind WAY pervier then me... My goodness! If you at any point think I am bad, you should have a discussion with my mom one day. ;-) She grew up a city girl, but moved to the countryside with my dad. She is a nurse, and very good at it to loving her job! She really rocks at cheering up people with her special sense of humor, be they young or old. ;-)

Dad, who was also one HELL of a man, if you ask me. :-) He sadly died 2002 though. I miss him still, probably always always will. All the fun we've had, and all the stuff he taught us. He was a farmerboy, through and through. :-D Grew up on a farm and worked on it from the moment he could walk. But having a love for anything with an engine, he ended up a mechanic. He will probably always be the most handy/practical person I've ever meet. No one will beat him there. Didn't matter what broken thing you gave him. He fixed it. Well, the only thing he didn't get was computers. *lol*

And then theres' my little brother, four years younger then me. :-) He takes after dad, extremly handy/practical and can fix almost anything you give him. He has a wonderful wife and two kids, and I am oh so very VERY proud of him! When we were kids we were fighting almost all the time, then we moved away from home and grew apart some... But now we are closer then ever. :-D I do so very much love him and his family. :-) He wouldn't dream of living in a city. Cities stresses him out somewhat. *lol* He lives on the countryside and works as a farmhand on a bigger farm.

My extended family is HUGE! HUGE and insane and loving and just... crazy. X-D I got my sense of humor and my straightforwardness from somewhere after all... ;-)

Also, there's my two crazy cats Skuld and Verdandi who me and hubby got after we've lived together for a year... they are 7 or 8 years old by now, but still as crazy as they were when they were kittens... :-)

Friends

My best friend, my sister in all but blood is [livejournal.com profile] spicehobbit. She's been my friend through thick and thin. We've had each others backs since we were 13 years old. And since both of us are 35 now, that makes us best friends for 22 years... o.O We've decided when we get past 60, we'll go to an amusement park with our walking sticks, be seniour nuisances and be a pain in the ass to the teens! X-D

I also have plenty, plenty friends in the local vampire-LARP club. I am oldest woman there, most of them younger then me, but eh... :-) I love them they are awesome all around. Sweet girls and boys more or less goth all of them. :-) I love meeting them every time it is time for a LARP! And I love hanging out with them randomly to!

And then there's my online-friends... SO MANY!!! I've lost a few since I started hangning out online and be active in various fandoms, but I've gained many. And many have stayed through the years to. :-) Most of them I've found here on LJ.

LiveJournal

I've been on Livejournal since December 2003. This place is MORE then "just" a blogging-site or journaling-site. It is hard to put into words, but it's safe to say this is my HOME on the net.

Fandoms

Now to the interesting stuff, right? ;-)

When me and my best friend got to know each other Robin of Sherwood ran on swedish television. We both got extremly hooked and wrote fanfic (terrible Mary Sues!) and drew fanart back then. We didn't know anything about fandoms and fanfics though, since this was before the internet pretty much, and we didn't know anything about fanzines. :-)

Then I went to live in the USA (yes, I lived there for a year, working as an aupair in the state of New Hampshire). And the family I lived with that year, they were fans of Xena: WarriorPrincess. It was a thing they watched as a family. So I joined them. And turned into a diehard Xenaite.

And then when I came home from the US, I went to study and live on my own. And lo and behold... at breakfast time, there was re-runs of Buffy the VampireSlayer. It didn't take long before I turned into a fan of said show to. Around this time, I found LJ, and it all went downhill from there.. *lol*

I meet my darling hubby, [livejournal.com profile] peting73, and we share a lot of interest. Especially when it comes to movies. And he dragged me with him to watch the first Pirates of the Caribbean movie. Then to the next one. And then I was hooked and I was the one doing the dragging for the third one. I am not to fond of the forth one though, I will admit. The first three movies I love and adore and I will admit to be a heavy fangirl fo those. :-)

Talking of friends, I do have a few RL friends here on LJ. And one of them, [livejournal.com profile] kaijn, made a post with a certain Tom Kaulitz of Tokio Hotel one day when I was reading on LJ peacefully. I had no idea who he was, thinking he was some sort of j-pop person (I mean, TOKIO Hotel, give me a break...). I was soon told otherwise, and started surfing around for music and info about the four boys, found TH TV, and... here we are today... I am the most active in this fandom, being a diehard fan of Georg and Gustav. I love them G's dearly.

And I thought that would be the end, but alas... No such thing.

My hubby, who I share many interests with, found out about the TV-show Sons of Anarchy... I didn't think this would be a show for me at all... but I watched a few episodes of season one... and BAM! I got hooked. Dammit. I am still just tipping my toes in this fandom, and I SO VERY MUCH blame my hubby for it...

Right so... Uhu... Don't really know what else to write, but yeah. That'll be me. If you got any questions or want to know anything or... whatever. :-) Feel free to ask whenever, however, whatever. X-D I am an open book, disgustingly honest, so if you ask me a question, I WILL answer it! :-D (Yes I love sex, no I ain't straight, yes I love both men and woman, yes I love my men a bit hairy and my women curvalicious, what yes, beard is sexy on men, yes I have two cats, yes they are crazy, yes I have 5 tattoos, yes I am disgustingly honest, why do you ask? X-D )

Oh hum... Tomorrow Alexandra will have her baptism... even though neither me nor [livejournal.com profile] peting73 are religious in ANY way shape or form, she'll still be baptised. I never saw it as a religious thing though. And I've been to my fair share of baptisms, what with having a HUGE family. I see it like a.... Oh... How to say...? Like a naming-ritual and an occasion to celebrate the new member of the family. You know? If Alexandra wants to leave church and join another or not be a part of any at all when she grows up, then by all means I'll support her all the way. :-)

I was baptised, went to Sunday School until I was 12, done my confirmation and everything.... But I am far FAR from religious. I'd most likely call me an atheist then anything else. But I haven't left the Church of Sweden. I'd like to be married in a church one day... Not to mention be buried in a graveyard without my relatives having to pay to much...

Anyway!

Baptism. Tomorrow. :-) Looking forward to it! The antic baptismal gown is ready and waiting, fixed up so it won't fall apart to much. I've ordered food for everyone, and yesterday and today I baked 6 (!) chocolate swirl cheesecakes! I couldn't do all of them on the same day, since they took 1 and half hour in the oven. Ugh! But we tried one, and they are delicious, so the time spent is well worth it. :-) Two didn't turn out to great (doing two in the oven at the same time = bad idea apparently...). But the other four look wonderful, so I'll say the collapsed ones for last tomorrow. :-)

Mom is coming a bit early with her big car, to help us drive all the food to the parish house that we got to borrow and hang out and eat in. :-) We'll be around 30 people there, what with friends and family! :-)

It'll be a lot of fun, I think!

I know I have complained a lot on [livejournal.com profile] peting73 lately, since all he has been home sick and stayed in bed until 3-4pm... I know, I know... if he'd been well, he'd be working until that time, but it ain't the same. I see him in bed, and it has just... bugged me. Apparently it COULD have been gastric catarrh... We are not sure, but he has gotten way better lately what with us eating nicer food... Not fried and not to spicy. (And he loves spicy food...) Let's hope it turns out alright tomorrow... *crosses fingers*

What else, what else...

Oh yeah! In the midst of preparing for the baptism, me and Alexandra started going to Baby Swimming classes! :-D

It is at the public bath (that has some water park elements) so it is a bit noisy and big even in the changing rooms, so I figured Alexandra would be scared by it all. Oh no! Not my daughter! *lol* She was VERY CURIOUS at the whole thing, eyes HUGE when she was looking around at everything. No crying, no nothing. Just curiosity.

Not even when we went into the pool, used specifically for classes like this. It is warmer in the water and in the room where the pool is. And there were to leaders there to, giving us tips and ideas how to hold such a lil baby in the water and some games one could play... Four moms and babies we were! It was SO MUCH FUN! And Alexandra truly enjoyed it to, splashing around and grinning the entire time! It was only for 30mins, but lil babies like this... It is enough for them, really.

I am so so happy I decided to do this with her! :-D We got ten more Wednesdays to go, and I hope it'll be this fun every time! :-D

Now to bed I go so I can be awesome mom tomorrow for the baptism! Wish us luck and a well-behaved baby! :-D

These last few days have been... somewhat not fun. :-P I know being a parent ain't fun and games all the times, I fully expect that. But when I can't keep my eyes open when my mom comes to visit then things are quite bad. :-P I swear to anything holy, I worked so so hard to keep my eyes open and I just couldn't... I kept seeing double. Then I feel asleep for ten mins or so on her, and I felt quite bad about it. Mom didn't mind, she knows the last few days have been tough, but yeah. Not fun. :-P

Thank anything holy that [livejournal.com profile] peting73 is doing SOOOOO much better! And can start helping taking care of Alexandra... It does sound horrible, but sometimes I just wanna... be... and not be a mom. Does that make sense? Just for a few mins. :-P I haven't been able to do that these last days and that has exhausted me both mentally and physically. How the HELL do single moms do it? o.O All my respect and more!

Tomorrow I am going shopping a bit for the baptism of Alexandra on Saturday. I have TWO pair of pants that fit. And none of them are pretty... :-P So new pair of pants for me and one onesie for Alexandra that she can have under the baptisemal gown.

Oh yeah. That gown is a chapter all in itself. Full of history and oh so gorgeous. It is made from the bridal veil of my paternal grandfathers mother... My grandfather had it on his baptism, as did my father and his two brothers... My brother had it as well, and both his kids. Reason I didn't have it, was because my parents didn't marry until I was 4 years old, and my paternal grandma had some issues with that... :-P But Alexandra will be wearing that baptisemal gown. :-) It is here now, and so frail I'll probably be more nervous about that thing breaking then anything else... o.O It is over 100 years old... :-P So yeah... I'll post a photo of it in a few days. :-)

[livejournal.com profile] spicehobbit, who'll be Alexandras godmother, is also nervous as hell, since she'll hold Alexandra in that thing to! During the baptism itself. And she loves history and especially history of clothing... So yes, something that old really catches her interest and makes her nervous that she'll break it. :-)

I've prepared most things for the baptism party/feast/whatever you call it... On Thursday and Friday though I'll bake six (!) cheesecakes, since the total people coming is 30... o.O Relatives and friends... Mostly relatives from my side of the family, since there are so many there. *lol* Crazy, crazy...

Anyway!

I am glad all my Christmas cards/care packages got to the recipients as it should. :-) I didn't send as many this year, but I figured if you wanted it, you'd let me know, right? Just a few I sent to extra. :-D

I did get a laugh though when I got a thank you PM from [livejournal.com profile] melluransa... Since she'd made a video of her trying out the Swedish candy I sent... Specifically the Lakritsal. X-D I know liquorice is a very specific taste, and hence I sent the kindest one. Laktritsal is not as strong as other liquorice candy is. But still it got a pretty funny reaction from [livejournal.com profile] melluransa... X-D Thanx for the laugh you gave both me and [livejournal.com profile] peting73!

Melluransa eating Laktrisal... )

Also I found this on the net:

Why...? Yeah, that's why...  )

Which reminds me that [livejournal.com profile] peting73 soooo owes me a night out with my best friend [livejournal.com profile] spicehobbit... We've seen all the other Twilight movies at the movies, so we'll be damned if we won't see Breaking Dawn Part 2 there to! (Yes, it still runs...)

My night last night and my day today...

I went to bed at around 2am last night, right? Kinda normal after giving Alexandra nightly foods. [livejournal.com profile] peting73, who had felt out of it all day, already in bed sleeping... making noises. The weirdest noises! Almost like he can't breath! And he is loud! Almost waking Alexandra up again, and me? Well, the hell I can sleep... I try to relax for an hour, but at 3am, I give up when [livejournal.com profile] peting73 goes to the bathroom. So, I tell him it ain't working, and fixes up the sofa bed in the other end of the apartment in Alexandras room, take Alexandra with me and sleep there (it's a double). Last time I check the clock it's 4am. At 5am Alexandra wakes up with a start screaming, so I am getting her food and she falls asleep again. Still takes around 30mins. At 8am they call from the local government office about future daycare for Alexandra (I had called them yesterday about it), so I talk to them and then go back to bed.... At 8:30am, Alexandra wakes up and wants food and is as fit as a fiddle! Don't wanna sleep no more, mom! *sigh* So up I go. Feed her again, and stay up with her... [livejournal.com profile] peting73? Sleeping like the dead. Hungry fixing foods and such. At around 12, midday, [livejournal.com profile] peting73 wakes up feeling like shit, coughing so bad he throws up at times. Wants me to go shopping, but can't care for Alexandra in such a state. Joy. So I feed her and take her with me to do so. Oh, and did I mention it is laundry day today? So I take Alexandra and all the laundry with me to the basement where I have our pram and where the laundry-room is... Get the laundry going, pack down kid in pram, go shopping. Going by buss, since it is easier to bring the pram that way. Shop, get home just in time for next feeding time. Almost collapse while holding her. When she is done, and I've made sure [livejournal.com profile] peting73 has gotten some nutritionists in him, I take Alexandra with me and collapse on bed for two hours. Then up again. Dinner time! Feed Alexandra at 6pm, and then start cooking dinner. Dinner fixed! Eat said dinner. ([livejournal.com profile] peting73 can't, feeling sick just seeing food... lives on yoghurt's.) Play with Alexandra on the floor a bit on the sheepskin rug. At around 8pm fix up a bath for Alexandra and give her one. Then at around 8:30pm feeding her and make sure she falls asleep. She does. Even though my mom calls and almost wakes her up. Talk with mom about baptism plans and her coming to visit on Friday. Look around. It looks like a pigsty here... Make sure Alexandra is really asleep. Go take a shower. Mid-shower, Alexandra start crying and [livejournal.com profile] peting73 throwing up. At the same time. GAH! Run out of shower wet and naked with conditioner in hair and comfort Alexandra so she falls asleep again. [livejournal.com profile] peting73 taking care of himself. All calm again, back and finish shower.

Now... I am here. Shoot me?
