Usually a friendly sort. Be nice to me, and I am nice to you. Here I ramble on about me, life, work and fandoms. I am a fan of Robin of Sherwood, Xena: Warrior Princess, Buffy: the Vampire Slayer, Pirates of the Caribbean, Tokio Hotel and Sons of Anarchy. I don't apologize for anything I write here. This is my mind. And you entered it. Welcome.

Oh hum... Tomorrow Alexandra will have her baptism... even though neither me nor [livejournal.com profile] peting73 are religious in ANY way shape or form, she'll still be baptised. I never saw it as a religious thing though. And I've been to my fair share of baptisms, what with having a HUGE family. I see it like a.... Oh... How to say...? Like a naming-ritual and an occasion to celebrate the new member of the family. You know? If Alexandra wants to leave church and join another or not be a part of any at all when she grows up, then by all means I'll support her all the way. :-)

I was baptised, went to Sunday School until I was 12, done my confirmation and everything.... But I am far FAR from religious. I'd most likely call me an atheist then anything else. But I haven't left the Church of Sweden. I'd like to be married in a church one day... Not to mention be buried in a graveyard without my relatives having to pay to much...

Anyway!

Baptism. Tomorrow. :-) Looking forward to it! The antic baptismal gown is ready and waiting, fixed up so it won't fall apart to much. I've ordered food for everyone, and yesterday and today I baked 6 (!) chocolate swirl cheesecakes! I couldn't do all of them on the same day, since they took 1 and half hour in the oven. Ugh! But we tried one, and they are delicious, so the time spent is well worth it. :-) Two didn't turn out to great (doing two in the oven at the same time = bad idea apparently...). But the other four look wonderful, so I'll say the collapsed ones for last tomorrow. :-)

Mom is coming a bit early with her big car, to help us drive all the food to the parish house that we got to borrow and hang out and eat in. :-) We'll be around 30 people there, what with friends and family! :-)

It'll be a lot of fun, I think!

I know I have complained a lot on [livejournal.com profile] peting73 lately, since all he has been home sick and stayed in bed until 3-4pm... I know, I know... if he'd been well, he'd be working until that time, but it ain't the same. I see him in bed, and it has just... bugged me. Apparently it COULD have been gastric catarrh... We are not sure, but he has gotten way better lately what with us eating nicer food... Not fried and not to spicy. (And he loves spicy food...) Let's hope it turns out alright tomorrow... *crosses fingers*

What else, what else...

Oh yeah! In the midst of preparing for the baptism, me and Alexandra started going to Baby Swimming classes! :-D

It is at the public bath (that has some water park elements) so it is a bit noisy and big even in the changing rooms, so I figured Alexandra would be scared by it all. Oh no! Not my daughter! *lol* She was VERY CURIOUS at the whole thing, eyes HUGE when she was looking around at everything. No crying, no nothing. Just curiosity.

Not even when we went into the pool, used specifically for classes like this. It is warmer in the water and in the room where the pool is. And there were to leaders there to, giving us tips and ideas how to hold such a lil baby in the water and some games one could play... Four moms and babies we were! It was SO MUCH FUN! And Alexandra truly enjoyed it to, splashing around and grinning the entire time! It was only for 30mins, but lil babies like this... It is enough for them, really.

I am so so happy I decided to do this with her! :-D We got ten more Wednesdays to go, and I hope it'll be this fun every time! :-D

Now to bed I go so I can be awesome mom tomorrow for the baptism! Wish us luck and a well-behaved baby! :-D

Poor Mr. Peting. I hope he gets well soon! That sounds awful!

Aw, the baby swimming classes would be so much fun! What a wonderful way for you and Alexandra to bond. <3

It went GREAT! :-D Alexandra was very very wellbehaved the whole time! I'll try to get my ass in gear and make a huge photo-update with photos of Alexandra at her own LJ. I am jstu being lazy with it. *lol*

And Peting is feeling WAY better now! In fact, he claims he is alright now, so I'll take his word for it. :-)

The baby swimming classes are awesome! :-D I am so happy I signed us up for it, really. As you say, it is a way for us to bond, an activity for Alexandra where she learns new skills... it is just win-win all around, really. :-)

As soon as I get my ass in gear to write about it, everyone will hear about the baptsim. *lol*

Baby swimming IS an awesome activity, really! :-D I love being in the water and playing around or swim, as does Peting, so I wanted Alexandra to get used to it as well. :-)
