SUCH a great weekend with mom! And some thinky thoughts...

I've had SUCH a great weekend! Mom has stayed here all weekend, and it's been great!

I love my mother dearly, and as an adult our relationship has just grown. It was... strained during my teens, but you point to anyone that didn't have a strained relationship with their parents during their teens. :-)

ANYHOW! That was random. But this weekend was just great!

We'd planned it for a while, since she's working as a assistant nurse she has very random working hours. But this weekend our schedules worked out!

So she came Friday afternoon/evening. And we just hung out and had a nice evening.

The reason that she came over Friday evening already is because Saturday morning, Alexandra has her riding lesson, and mom wanted to come and see how Alexandra was doing in person.

It's been snowing quite a bit lately, and it's been cold, so we all dressed warmly before going. We went, and we had a nice little time. Alexandra did great!

They did these Cavaletti-exercises, and I had no idea what that was so I had to look it up online before the lesson. HERE'S a little vid, so you can see what it is. They both did short pace and trotting over them poles.

Alexandra has a really good balance, ever since she started this, and both me and mom talked about that. Mom is working with a couple of horse loving riding people, and they've seen the clips I put on Instagram, and they've all commented on how comfortable and balanced Alexandra look in the saddle. I think that's awesome. :-D

I admit. I'm a proud momma. ;-)

After that we came home, got some hot dogs and stuff, that we had for lunch, and then we just lazed around at home warming up, because you get cold to the bones when you stand on the sidelines during the riding lessons during the winter... :-P

Me and mom got the challenge to cook dinner during Saturday. Usually Peting is doing the cooking. He is REALLY good at it, but he figured since my mom was there it was just fair that we were cooking for him for once. *lol*

So we did, and had a lot of fun while doing it. And it turned out delicious to! YAY! We still got it!

After that, me and Peting fixed ourself up and went to the movies, while mom was a babysitter! She's wanted to do that for quite a while, but since there's a bit of a drive in between us, it hasn't been very practical. Alexandra was all for it though. Gave us a hug and told us to go already so she could hang out with grandma alone. *LOL* Cocky kid. X-D

Me and Peting went and watched Star Wars Last Jedi. Yeah, it was luckily enough still running here. AND we found some gift cards, which made sure we hardly paid anything either! Win-win!

I LOVE watching Star Wars videos with Peting since he is SUCH a huge Star Wars fan boy and nerd. When he was really young during the original three movies, he read EVERYTHING he could get his hands on. The books, magazines... the works. So he knows his Star Wars. :-) Which makes it interesting to talk about the movies with him, even if I don't know that much myself.

I liked the movie well enough. They do tie up the ends pretty well. There's not much that bothered me, just little things here and there.

Interestingly, what with not being a huge fan, I did get more effected than I thought when Lea Organa aka Carrie Fisher showed up on the screen. Damn. What a loss. She'll be missed for many many years, I fear.

(One of the things that bothered me the most involved Lea Organa, in fact...)

Anyhow, it was nice being able to go to the movies just me and Peting.

Coming back we then just hung out with mom. Me and mom ended up on the couch in a tickle-fight while watching true crime documentaries....

Yeah, she's almost 65 and I'm 40. You're never to old for tickle-fights. Just saying. ;-)

Then bed, and today we took it easy during the morning. Me and mom decided to take care of my flowers. She's really good with flowers and green growing things, so it's always nice to get a hand with that.

And after that and some coffee, she left and went to her gentleman caller. She spent the rest of the day with him, and tonight she'll be working.

She only has 5 more weeks to work, and then she's retiring. :-D She SOOO deserves it! In April she turns 65 years old, so she's getting older as it were.

Mom did surprise me this weekend, actually. She does regularly, what with being as wonderfully insane as she is. :-) But she is actually planning to sell her house. Well, not NOW, but in a couple of years or more. As she is saying, she's not getting younger. And the house she does live in does require a lot of upkeep and work. Old fashioned swedish house, red with the white corners. So yeah.

I thought I'd feel more upset about mom selling that house. I mean, we've grown up there me and my brother. My father renovated the house himself, close to everything (apart from electricity and plumbing). And he got it gifted from my paternal grandparents. But still, I mean... I doubt my brother would want that house, he has his own. And I REALLY don't want to move back there. So yeah, I think she's doing the right thing. I'll probably feel weird WHEN she moves, but I still think it's the right way for her.

Right so, this was a random update. It's been good spending so much time with my mom though. I love her SO MUCH, she's the best and means the world to me. :-)

Tomorrow, back to work again!

Snowflake Challenge Day 6

Fandom Snowflake Challenge banner 2018

Day 1Day 2Day 3Day 4Day 5 ♥ Day 6 ♥

Day 6

Leave feedback for a fanwork. Or multiple fanworks. It can be as simple as I liked this to a detailed list of all the things you loved about the fanwork. The key is to leave some sort of feedback.

If you've already left feedback in the course of a previous challenge, it totally counts. But you're free to leave more feedback.

I don't read fanfic really anymore, but I do watch YouTube vids a lot. And they're about fandoms and such to, so that totally counts, right?
`
Anyway, here's a couple of my favorite YouTube channels that are fandom related that I left a comment on how much I appreciate the work they put down. :-)

The Dom - This is my favorite YouTube channel. It really is. He compares movies to the books they're based on. And he is doing it SO WELL! And really entertaining! And his accent is amazing! And I just... I admit, I've watched EVERY SINGLE CLIP on this channel They're just THAT GOOD! First ones I saw, that just sealed the deal for me about this guys awesome, was when he just bashed the Fifty Shades of Grey books and movies to HELL AND BACK!!! I love this guy. So at least watch those: Part 1, Part 2 and Part 3.

Alt Shift X - A really good channel that goes through a lot of things and characters in Game of Thrones really well. I like the layout of each vid they have to, very educational or well, it just makes it all easier to follow if you know what I mean. It does a lot when you listen to it. I really like this channel!

Calluna Reviews - I found this channel thanks to Game of Thrones to, but she's not only doing vids about Game of Thrones. Those are AMAZING, since she's very knowledgeable about the books to. But she has a lot of games and other TV-shows as well.

Costume CO - I am mostly impressed when watching this. Both by her research and by the costumers of Game of Thrones and other movies and TV-show. She is going IN DEPTH about the costumes here. Like, down to the stitches depth... And still makes it VERY interesting! Anyone interesting in sewing and embroidery should watch this!

Emergency Awesome - This is also really good channel as well. Again, found it thanks ot Game of Thrones (there's a pattern here, I know), but this guy makes a lot of vids about other TV-shows and movies as well. And I do mean A LOT! Damn, he updates often!

No Small Parts - This channel is just INCREDIBLE!!! Because here you got proper documentaries about those actors you never remember the name off... Because they never have the lead, they're just there... in the background, these character actors. But still just as hardworking and as passionate as the big stars. I LOVE that someone is giving them some spotlight, seriously.

Pop Culture Detective - Found this thanks to a Star Wars vid, about the problems with the jedi faith... Really interesting. A new one on my list of channels I follow, but so far it is REALLY GOOD, and brings up some really interesting theories and points about mayor movies and TV shows that I, for one, never reflected over.

ScreenPrism - Don't remember how I found this, but probably through Game of Thrones. Haven't watched all or that many of the clips here, but those I have where REALLY GOOD! And this channel go through anything when it comes to movies and TV shows to, so there's a lot to choose from here!

It's Black Friday - Technically not a fandom channel, I know. But I just adore this gorgeous goth! I mean, seriously! And she always has such a positive message in her vids, one way or anther. Even when she recently divorced her husband. I do so adore her.

So, giving comments and appreciation to all those channels should count, right? Right? I hope it does. I think YouTubers should find out that you enjoy their work to, not only fanart-artists and fanfic-writers. :-)

Reading, listening and watching in 2017...

And onwards, I should probably say. Because it’s not like I’ll stop doing either of those things. :-)

Here goes…

I do track the books I’ve read on Goodreads.Com, so you can always track me there if you’d like. And if you want to see my year in books the way they’d tracked it, you can do so here: KSena’s Year in Books 2017.

I only read 12 books and graphic novels. But I’m a slow reader that usually feel too stressed to read, so that would be the reason why there. I have, however, started to listen to audiobooks, which makes me feel less stressed. I can listen to audiobooks when I’m on the bus or when I do dishes or vacuum or whatever.

And there I’ve punctured the myth of librarians reading a ton of books… *LOL* I, obviously, don’t. :-)

These are the books I’ve read (link to my review in the title):

  • Making the rounds with Oscar - about a cat in an elderly home that can sense when a patient is about to die… and the doctor that tries to figure out why that is. REALLY interesting, even if you’re not a cat-person.

  • Endometrios: Mensvärken från helvetet - a swedish book about how it is to live with Endomatriosis and how you can tackle doctors and nurses and tips and ideas for those living with endo-sufferers and just… a lot of really good info. This book needs to be translated to english stat.

  • The story of my life - about the life of Helen Keller. I’ve always been curious about her since seeing a movie about her. And even though this was in her words and interesting, it was also… extremely dull here and there.

  • Street Cat Bob - also a story I’ve been curious at. Listened to this through an audiobook service here in Sweden, and it worked really well! A really good book, heart wrenching story! Seen the movie to!

  • Trump och vredens Amerika - some seriously effective finnish journalists who wrote a book about Trump and how he managed to get a hold of power the way he did. They also try to figure out how he ended up the man he is. It was VERY interesting and I like how they’d split up the book in various sections.

  • Monster - a biography by and about the biggest YouTube star in Sweden, Joakim ‘Jockiboi’ Lundell. And I was RAGING when I listened to this audiobook!!! I read it since I wanted to know what the deal was with this guy, and why the kids/teens at the school I work was all over him. The fangirling/fanboying over this guy is off the charts. And he puts both Edward from Twilight AND infamous Mr Grey to shame… My GAWD! What an absolutely HORRIBLE guy this man is! o.O Aptly named book...

  • Ibland mår jag inte så bra - a biography by and about the biggest female YouTube star in Sweden, Therese Lindgren. My expectations was way low when I started listening to this, and it turned out to be a really good book about mental health!

  • Kris vid trekaffet - about a retired couple and their daily lifes and how they deal with their children and grandchildren. Sounds dull? Not in this graphic novel! The dialogue is great, and the odd style in the drawings just match up. A lovely little gem.

  • När mammorna blev kära - a very easy to read book for 8-12 year old kids about two divorced mothers that fall in love with each other and how their daughters deal with it. A VERY important book! I read it once it had arrived to the library, and it was really good! It’s been read aloud in a few classes at the school, and the discussions have been both wild and civil. So important with LGBT+ books for ALL ages!!!

  • Spelet är spelet - a book I bought for the library since a teen at school (almost or nearly a hooligan…) wanted to read it. So I did to, or listened to the audiobook. It’s written by Leo Carmona and is heavily based on how he grew up, how he ended up a criminal extremely young and why and the issues that Sweden has today (we do, although not as bad as a certain president and his supporters claim…). This was good. VERY good. And very eye opening to me. I have a greater understanding for my hooligans after reading this. I don’t condone what they do or how they act, but I can understand why. Makes sense?

  • Hungerhuset - was just a LOVELY little horror graphic novel! The images was GORGEOUS! Detailed, sharp and black and white. Swedish comic-artists are SO GOOD at horror! Seriously! And this one was definitely one of those really good ones! Such a nice read!

  • Svinet - was seriously a feel-bad story (instead of a feel-good one). And Åsa Grennvall is SO GOOD at this! Especially at showing emotion in her characters faces. And it’s some scary emotions in this. A lot of mental illness among the female characters, and then there’s the man that is in the center of the story… Extremely abusive and manipulative man. I feel the most for his mother, in this story. Even if she is… not quite well or OK either. I don’t know why I like Grennvall’s stories, they are really horrid stories. But I do love them. For some reason.

So that’s what I’ve been reading this year. I know [personal profile] orangerful for example read more than that in a month. But I’m slow and I can’t really settle down and relax with a book. *shrug* Thank heavens for audiobooks. Goal for 2018? Read more than 12 books, so I can beat 2017 at least. :-)

I might take a leaf from [personal profile] orangerful and make a post as soon as I’ve read something? Don’t expect to see that to frequently though. ;-)

When I haven’t been reading I’ve been watching TV-shows and listened to podcasts.

Podcasts are really my new love! Seriously!

Mostly I listen to swedish podcasts through the app that Sveriges Radio has (Sweden's national publicly funded radio broadcaster). They make a lot of good radio shows and they are ALL saved in their massive archive so you can listen to them whenever you want.

Brilliant says I. :-) So I listen to a few of my favorites.

  • Ligga med P3 - A pod/radio show about sex. Plain and simple. And they are do not sugarcoat anything. They talk about EVERYTHING!!!! :-D And they are great fun to listen to, not taking themselves seriously at all. A GREAT listen!

  • P3 Dokumentär - A pod/radio show that is like a documentary you see on TV. I mean, it’s SO well made! They put sounds to it as if it was a movie and they make sure to interview as many as possible…. And it’s just… so well made. The BEST pod/radio show that Sveriges Radio has to offer, according to me!

  • P3 Historia - I’m a history-nerd and this pod/radio show is ALL about history! They take a historic person or event and then they nerd out as much as possible about it/him/her during the show. It’s great! Really really good to listen to!

  • P3 Spel - This is about games to consoles and to computers. All the games all the time! It’s really good and the hosts are SO FUN to listen to! Any interests in games whatsoever, this is the one for you!

  • Radiosporten Dokumentär - I’m not into sports usually, so I don’t listen to all the episodes to this one, since this is the main sport-channel that Sveriges Radio has and this is their documentary show. But since I do LOVE documentaries, this pod/show is really good to, since there are quite a lot of sport personalities that are really interesting as well! So some of these documentaries are really good to!

  • Sommar & Vinter i P1 - This is a classic pod/show, especially during summer. P1 invites a certain number off more or less famous people to talk on air for 1½ hours about… whatever they want! And the person gets to choose the music to. During end of December and beginning of January they do the same thing. I don’t listen to all, only those that I find interesting as people. But it’s a good pod/show!

Then there’s my second favorite from Sveriges Radio:

  • USA podden - It started out as a podcast/radio show to report on the latest election in the USA. But since it got so popular and since Trump won and everyone here in Sweden wants to know what is going on… It has continued even after the election. The hosts doing this are experts on US-politics in one way or another and most have lived or do live in the USA their job being to report back to Sweden what is going on. So it’s very interesting to listen to.

Not a podcasts from Sveriges Radio, but there is another favorite I have, but it’s on hiatus right now for obvious reasons, and thats…

  • Tronspelet (meaning literary game of thrones) - These hosts watched the Game of Thrones episodes as soon as they could here in Sweden (long live HBO Nordic!), and then they sat down and discussed it, as many itty bitty details they could think about. And the sense of humour among these, my GOODNESS!! X-D They are HILARIOUS! And I so hope they’ll continue once Game of Thrones comes back with it’s last season!

There’s ONE english speaking podcast that I follow with regularity and that’s:

  • My Favorite Murder - I know, I know… A comedy show about murder? How does that even work, you ask? I can’t even describe it. It’s all about the hosts, Georgia and Karen. And the way they discuss and tell about the murders they’ve researched for each episode. It’s awesome. I’ve ALMOST listened to every single episode now from start. And I’m definitely a murderino (fan) by this point. :-D

I’ve listened to a couple of other podcasts as well, but just an episode here and there. Oh My Heck needs a mention (about how the mormon church works form an ex-mormon, in english), Död Mans Podd (school librarian doing a horror-pod), Spår (going into detail during several episodes about a swedish crime) and Mordpodden (similar to My Favorite Murder, but in swedish). I haven’t listened to all the episodes here, and I probably should. Maybe I will when I’m all caught up with My Favorite Murder? Who knows?

When it comes to TV-shows (and Netflix shows), there’s one pretty obvious one…

  • Game of Thrones - Oh my anything holy shit! That is ONE well made TV-show, that’s for sure! I have no words. To me, it just keeps getting better. Unfortunately I have to wait until 2019 to see the end of the whole thing. But man. What a STORY!!!! And no, I haven’t read the books. :-P

And there’s these that are worth a mention:

  • American Horror Story Hotel - I was hesitant since I get nightmares easily, but I saw a series of gifs with Lady Gaga and since I DO love vampires… Well, I watched this season, and it was REALLY good! Here someone have done their own take on the vampire-myth and they did it CLEVERLY. Really good!

  • Frontier - Totally blame Jason Momoa for this, but really. This show is so much more than him. That things were rough in North America when the europeans invaded, that I knew. And I bet they’re not far off with how harsh and gory it was here. The twists and turns makes my head spin sometimes, but overall, a great watch!

  • RuPaul’s Dragrace - Not much need be said. X-D This is my guilty pleasure. And when I’ve felt really low, this show has picked me right up!

I love documentaries and true crime, can you tell, so…

  • Making a murderer - how a crime can grow into an avalanche that is unstoppable… even if the convicted is innocent to start. This was really interesting. US? There’s some really fucked up things going on in your justice system. *shakes head*

  • Killer couples - A british show that tells the stories about couples that murder together… and it tries to figure out why and how and so on. Really interesting!

  • The Keepers - Just started this, and oh my world! It’s SO GOOD! Catholic priests school girls and choir boys, I tell you…. *shakes head* About the murder of the nun Sister Cathy, and it’s so good. So horrible and so good, I can not get enough. I am sure I’ll return to this in a post once I’ve finished it. :-)

Right, so… That was my lists! Kudos if you managed to read all that. :-) I’m sure there’s trailers and info all over the internet for all these, but I’m sure you all know how to use Google to find out more. ;-)

I’ve seen the Snowflake Challenge here and there on my friends journals, and I admit that I’m considering joining in.

Shorter posts then, I’m sure, but just to get back into the habit. :-)

Pirates of Caribbean: Salazars Revenge. A review... of sorts... kinda...

So, I just watched Pirates of the Caribbean: Salazar's Revenge. Or Dead Men Tell No Tales, as it's also been called.

If you've followed me for a while, you'd know this is actually a bit of a big deal for me. I've been a HUGE fan of the Pirates movies for years, was quite active in the fandom for a couple of years there to. Until the fourth movie came out, On Stranger Tides. And, OK. I admit. The only redeeming quality in that one was Ian McShane. Dude. He is making a CONVINCING villain, just saying. But the rest of the movie was shit. So I usually try to ignore it's existence. Also, it killed my joy of the fandom. So I stopped participating in the fandom totally after that.

And hey, On Stranger Tides didn't have my favorite character at all. Cursed Captain Will Turner. In this it did. Pretty hands on. Since we now have a new generation of pirates. Elisabeth's and Will's son, Henry Turner... Dead set on finding a way to free his father. We even see him risking his life to go visit his father on The Flying Dutchman as a kid... Bet Elisabeth wasn't to happy about that, poor woman. Both being a mother to a wild kid AND keeping track of Willl's heart... Do not envy her.

This movie, however, was really good. It brought back the darkness and sense of humor from the first three, which I TRULY enjoyed. It didn't quite reach up to the awesome of those movies, but DAMN did it get close!

I don't know really where to start with this about what I liked and didn't with this, because true to the other movies, the story is... somewhat all over the place. *LOL* One thing with the story that I DID enjoy though is that it did a wonderful tieback to the earlier movies. What with Henry being deadset on helping his father be free of the curse of The Flying Dutchman and needing Captain Jack to succeed with that... Sounds familiar? Yep. That's what Will Turner tried to do to, saving his father from The Flying Dutchman... It could have been done badly that tieback, but it wasn't. It was done really well. And the guy playing Henry Turner, Brenton Thwaites, did a WONDERFUL job playing Will and Elisabeth's son. He even has so much resemblance it's even very believable! GOOD CASTING!

The pretty girl of the movie, because there has to be one, has one thing in common with Elisabeth... She is really kicking ASS!!! And she is very very smart to, being an educated girl. Which puts her in trouble, because she's being accused of being a witch. Not easy having the smarts as a young woman during the age of sail... There's even a WONDERFUL secret that she carries, without knowing, that works so VERY well and also ties into that tieback in a way that's a whole new generation taking over... VERY cleverly done, script writers! I should have seen that one coming, but I will admit... I didn't.

I also always love Love LOVE seeing Geoffrey Rush playing Captain Hector Barbossa! He is SO over the top with EVERYTHING! :-D He is a true enjoyer of all life has to offer, over the top. As much gold as the ship can carry... as much food as possible... live music on the ship... the finest clothes... a golden pegleg... You get the picture. And it WORKS! I don't know how Rush makes it work, but despite all that, Barbossa can be a very scary pirate as well! I loved seeing him again, and I loved seeing more dept to him, so awesome! He is a great character for sure! And his interactions with Captain Jack Sparrow, is just... LOVE so much love! They play off each other perfectly!

The villian of the play was Captain Salazar, and Javier Bardem played him to PERFECTION! About as creepy as Ian McShane was in the fourth (failure) movie, with a hint of humor as well. In an interview I saw in the extras he compares the living Salazar as a matador and the undead Salazar as a wounded bull... And I can totally see that! In a flashback we get to see the proud and focused Captain Salazar of the spanish fleet hunting pirates. A man with a mission and knowledge in his own abilities. What you'd expect from a successful captain. As an undead, you see only focused revenge, hunched over from old wounds (half the back of his head is gone), walking sticking his head out first as if he wants to kill his enemies with just his stare... Really creepy. Wonderful performance by Bardem! He was brilliant!

And then, of course, there's Captain Jack Sparrow. I mean, yeah OK... say what you will about Johnny Depp, but I don't think anyone else could have done Jack Sparrow. To say that character is memorable would be an understatement. In all the movies, that character just owns every scene he is in. There's just not much else to say about him, is it? :-) He plays off of everyone with perfection, he really does. Either infuriating them... or making them love him (few). It's a good thing he has his best first mate Master Johsmee Gibbs who has his back, ALMOST all the time... *lol* Or he'd be doomed. His reaction to Henry revealing who is, is just hilarious! X-D Also, we all knew Keith Richards was Jacks dad, Captain Teague... But who knew Paul McCartney was his uncle??? X-D Uncle Jack Teague, apparently! *LOL* Hilarious! And Paul really looked like he had a grand old time playing an old pirate! So fun!

My favorite though, as his been since the second film, was Captain Will Turner! Oh, my heart... I nearly jumped out off the couch seeing him right in the beginning of the movie. He was about to go down Captain Jones road there, all barnacles and stuff... No wonder Henry wanted to save him! Even if Will told him not to find him again... Bless his heart, he'd come running to save him every time he jumped into the oceans I bet, not able to help himself... I bet Henry knew that to. My favorite part with all Pirates movies is the whole myth around The Flying Dutchman and it's crew. And from what little we saw off it, it does seem as if Will has a hard time keeping his crew in check... VERY interesting that... He didn't want them to see he had a living person onboard, his son, for what little time he was there. Hence he hurried him off and dived with the Dutchman. I wonder why? That's a mystery I'd REALLY like to get the answer to!!!

I won't spoil the movie, but yeah. It was a joy to see Will again!

It felt like they tied up a lot of lose ends, and even though there IS an opening for more movies, as per usual, I wouldn't say it's a certainty. This one felt more finished than the others, you know? It was a good ending to them all. And for gawds sake, IF they decide to make another one? Bring back to the two viking directors Joachim Rønning and Espen Sandberg from Norway to do the job, because they did a GREAT job!!! As did the screenwriter Jeff Nathanson! Of course there was plotholes, when aren't there in a Pirates movie, but they were easier to overlook in this one than in the fourth (horrible) movie. :-)

So in conclusion I can say, if you like pirates? Watch this one! It's well worth your time! :-D

Maybe I should start reading Pirates fic again... Hmm...

Me, kiddo and DISNEY!

I don't know if I've mentioned this, but I grew up with a Disney-crazed mom, and well... I got the bug to. :-) When I grew up Disney released a main feature film every Christmas (in Sweden at least) and it was tradition to go watch it as a family. EVERY YEAR! :-D

And lets not even go into the hours I've watched classical cartoon shorts and movies on VHS tapes and later DVD's with my parents. :-) It was a thing. And I still LOVE Disney-movies!

Not to mention the amount of Disney comics I've read through the years, especially Donald Duck and Scrooge McDuck comics...

Kiddo, well... She's all into Disney Junior. And wants it to be on all day, even if she doesn't watch it! She might be in her room playing not watching the TV. But as soon as we turn it off or change the channel she goes nuts. *LOL*

And let us not get into how OBSESSED she's been with Frozen! The amounts of times I've lived through watching it is... a bit insane. There was a period in the beginning of her obsession that she wanted to watch it up to 4 times a day... o.O Yeah.

But there's a few of the later movies that I have to say... Are really good! Especially the music! Yes, Frozen IS a good movie to. It's just that... I've watched it to many times at this point. *LOL*

Disney music that I can put on just because I enjoy it is at the moment the music from the movie Princess and The Frog. 1920's music? Oh HELL yes! :-D So nice. And the movie is quite good to. Although Alexandra thinks the Shadow Man is quite scary, she does enjoy the movie and wants to watch it from time to time.

The new favorite though, that have potential to be 'the new Elsa' is... Vaiana. Yes, that would be Moana to almost all of the rest of the world. In many European countries the name got changed because, well... There's a porn star in Italy called Moana, OK. And she has a trademark for her name. :-P There you go.

Alexandra REALLY likes this movie! And the music is REALLY catchy! It's gotten stuck in my head MORE than once!

I like that Alexandra loves these movies. All three of them, if I include Frozen, have pretty kick ass female leads. :-) And the main goal of the movies is NOT to get the prince! Hell, Prince Hans in Frozen is the bad guy (not a spoiler at this point, I believe) and in Princess and The Frog it's Tiana that teaches the prince a lesson or two!

Yeah, Alexandra has a thing for Tangled to, and yeah... Rapunzel IS a princess but I think she's pretty kick ass to, even if the music isn't quite as catchy in that one...

But yeah. Go Disney for bringing on the KICK ASS princesses!

And I have to admit though... I am curious at Frozen 2 seeing the rumors for it... Lesbian Elsa? HELL YES! Come on, Disney! Join the 21st century!

100 questions meme: Day 53 - 71

53: have you ever watched the rocky horror picture show? heathers? beetlejuice? pulp fiction? what do you think of them? I love the RHPS! I've seen it many times, but not the new version. I do want to, but I think the original will always be best. Beetlejuice is also an old favorite, as is Pulp Fiction! But I've not heard of Heathers before, so that one is new. If it's anything like the others, maybe I should check it out. :-)

54: who's the last person you saw with a true look of sadness on their face?
What kind of quesiton is that? Hmm... At my age relatives start do die off. So it's probably been at a funural or other. Clear memories are of my brother and mother when dad died. And my best friend when her grandmother died.

55: what's the most dramatic thing you've ever done to prove a point? Can't think of anything to be honest. I usually go loud and does a lot of weird things with my hands when I'm in a discussion and wants to prove my point.

56: what are some things you find endearing in people?
When people dare to be honest with me. When they trust me enough to be that. And when they dare to be close for hugs. Hugging is something I love to do. Both with family, friends... Kids and teens in school... You dare do that, you'll get one hell of a hug in return! Got like 8 hugs at work on day, that was probably the best day at work ever!

57: go listen to bohemian rhapsody. how did it make you feel? did you dramatically reenact the lyrics?
Not one of those that feel a need to reenact said song, but damn... It's one HELL of a piece of music! I LOVE Queen! Would love to see Queen and Adam Lambert one day!

58: who's the wine mom and who's the vodka aunt in your group of friends? why?
I have no idea what this means, and I don't feel like looking it up, so I'll just ignore it. *continues*

59: what's your favorite myth?
Oh gawd... I have many, to be honest. I LOVE Norse Mythology. As in the Aesir with Odin, Thor, Frey, Freya, Loke... Etc, etc... And no, I do NOT mean the Marvel version!!!! I mean the proper mythology that has survived from the vikings to our days. THAT is my favorite mythology!!! All the stories about them gods. From the creation of the world, to Ragnarök where the world dies... I'm not going to get into it, I can be longwinded. :-P

60: do you like poetry? what are some of your faves?
According to common belief apparently librarians are supposed to enjoy poetry.... Poetry and red wine. I enjoy neither. *shrug* I guess I'm the weird librarian.

61: what's the stupidest gift you've ever given? the stupidest one you've ever received?
I think I bought some sextoy or another to a friend once... together with penis-shaped pasta. X-D Yes, apparently those USED to be a thing once. Can't think of any stupid thing I've gotten, but probably clothes that are to small. I hate that. :-/

62: do you drink juice in the morning? which kind?
No, I don't. I drink a vitamin-drink every day instead. :-)

63: are you fussy about your books and music? do you keep them meticulously organized or kinda leave them be?
I'd like to keep them organized, it's a thing from work I suppose... But since we have so many books in such different sizes, it's impossible. I've gone through my books many times and throw away a lot. Let's just say... Peting don't believe in doing that... *cough*

64: what color is the sky where you are right now?
Black, since it's in the middle of the night/early morning.

65: is there anyone you haven't seen in a long time who you'd love to hang out with?
I sometimes wonder what happened to the friends I had in the village / community where I grew up. I'd just like to say hey and ask what they've been up to. I think we're to different now to be friends, but still it would be nice.

66: what would your ideal flower crown look like?
Lots and lots of wildflowers native from Sweden. :-)

67: how do gloomy days where the sky is dark and the world is misty make you feel? Depends on when during the year... If it happens during winter or summer, it doesn't bother me much. I just snuggle down with tea and something good to read or watch. February though.... That's my bad month. If it happens then, and it does. That whole month is gloomy as fuck. Then I lose energy, get snappy, and is generally not nice person with very little patience. And I usually have A LOT of patience.

68: what's winter like where you live?
Dark. X-D That about sums it up. Very dark, since we have precious little daylight hours. And cold and wet, since it either snows or rains. And it's usually quite windy to. Sounds lovely, doesn't it? X-D

69: what are your favorite board games?
If we're talking boardgames and not roleplaying games, it has to be Cluedo / Clue. I LOVE THAT GAME!!!!

70: have you ever used a ouija board?
Nope. You shouldn't play around with things like that. You just never know...

71: what's your favorite kind of tea?
I like black tea, preferably flavored with some fruit or berry. I love the tea from the swedish company Kränku that is based on Gotland. They flavor their tea themselves, and it's a DELIGHT to drink!

I hate February... And stuff... Fun stuff to, actually!

But apart from that, things goes quite well... It's just so damn cold and the winds really bite into you. Not my idea of fun, I can't say.

Yeah, I'm all outside nearly every day now. I make up reasons to get out and fix things, because I'm not a person who enjoys going out for a walk... I think that's boring and blah... So, errands everyday.

I've also sold a bunch of stuff on Tradera (swedish Ebay) for over 200 dollars. o.O It was my old medieval clothes that I sold, all in real wool and real linnen. And sewn by me. So I put it for auction, for less than the material was worth I think. And then I still pulled in that much! Totally impressed!

So currently my little walks is to send that stuff off. And since not everyone pays at the same time, it creates a walk for me everyday. :-)

When I'm at home, I sit mostly on the computer. I've ended up totally obsessed with YouTube. There's a few YouTuber that I follow, and man... I really love watching their stuff! There's some really fun people out there, and some are really talented to! :-D

I also spend a TON of time on Twitter, Plurk and Instagram.

Oh, and to keep warm me and my best friend have joined in all other fans of the company Kränku. For serious, they make the best tea you can get your hands on in Sweden! o.O And the company has now turned 40 years! So every month they have a monthly tea this whole year! :-D So I'm gonna drown in tea, but I don't even care. :-D

It's hard to understand that I've been on sick leave this long... My poor replacement is not having an easy time btw. He is a really sweet and kind guy. REALLY! He really really is. Problem though. You gotta have some balls and be a bit tough on that school, or the kids will run right over you. They're a bit like animals that way. They see one itty bitty weakness... They attack and will exploit that weakness like hell! Not physically, obviously, but mentally. So yeah... And since he to is an previously bullied kid, he has a bit of troubles with pushing back against that. I've gotten a bit further in process than he, so I can just give as good as I get when the kids go mean like that. Me and my boss has been there a few times to support him, but I mean... I jump at crutches. I can tell the kids off, which I'm good at, but that's pretty much all I can do. :-P

When I go back to work I won't work full time right away, so it'll be the both of us then for a while. I think that's good. Makes it a good transition, so to speak.

Anyway, some fun stuff! :-D

I've discovered that the graphics community, that makes these shiny icons for me and also all the blinkies I have at the bottom of each post... It was a dying community, but for some reason... It has a revival right now! :-D There's users coming back to LJ, at least in that community! TOTALLY COOL!

And I had a comment with [livejournal.com profile] sireesanwar that it's easy to not dare to make new friends on LJ, but really... Branch out! There's so many awesome users still here, so why not? :-) I know I have a quite a few new friends that I really appreciate here on LJ. :-) Not to mention I know there are those reading my LJ that are not LJ-users as well. :-D Totally appreciate those to!

Then I have to say, I had a bit of squee over an old fandom the other day. I nearly woke up the kid when I saw it! X-D But the new Pirates of the Caribbean movie is fast approching. Oh no, you say... Not another shitty one... And I was thinking the same. Until I saw the trailer the other night. And dude. It looks like they are going back to the dark / wacky / adventure that made the first three so good. Also... Cursed Captain Will Turner is there! :-D I can't even tell you how excited I am about that! *giddy* So check it out!

Johnny Cash music in a pirate movie? Well... I'd say it WORKS! :-D Brilliant! Looks really good! I thought I was way over that fandom.

I was wrong. X-D

Letter-meme

I got dragged into a meme. Ho boy... I haven't done anything like these in an age and a half. Here goes...

So for this you're supposed to answer these question with words using a certain letter. And I got the letter W from [livejournal.com profile] velvetwhip.

....

W.

WFT? Do you guys know how RARE W is in swedish and how bad I am at finding words for that one? Crap. OK. Here goes.

Something I hate: Oh gawd... I don't know.... W... W... W... WAR! Well, of course. Anyone with half a brain hates war. Or so I hope...

Something I love: Work, actually. That one was easy. I do like my work as a school-librarian despite the crazy ass kids. I thrive in chaos, apparently.

Somewhere I've been: West Point. Yes, that school. I was invited to a trip by my host-family to see the ArmyVSNavy football game when I was working as an aupair in the US. Was... quite interesting, to say the least. At least the buildings is down right breath-taking....

Somewhere I'd like to go: I have no idea. I'm sure there's a city starting with W in Australia, in Japan and in the US (Washington DC...), because I'd love to visit all three of them countries.

Someone I know: I can not think of anyone I know very well starting with W. I do have a few people on my f-list though, but we don't talk overly much anymore. If you are into the Buffy-fandom though and like Spike, I do suggest checking out the works of [livejournal.com profile] whichclothes.

A film I like: Walk the line was a movie I did enjoy quite a great deal, to my surprise. Didn't know much about Johnny Cash before watching it. And then there's Wreck it Ralph for the nerd in us (didn't think about that one right away since it's called Röjar-Ralf in swedish...). World of Warcraft hasn't started in the theaters yet, not until June 2016. I can not WAIT to see it though!

DO YOU HAVE ANY IDEA HOW HARD THIS WAS?!?!? Geezes... I now downright dislike W. :-P

If anyone else dares wants to play, let me know and I'll give you a letter.

About me - the open book!

Can I just say HOLY FUCKING SHIT IN THE OCEAN?!?!?!?! o.O Now I've been part of friending memes before, many times. But I've never EVER been a part of one that has taken off like this. My flist is BURSTING! Geezes, fuck! o.O

Excuse the language, but yeah... o.O Circling the wagon -friending meme rocked my socks off!

Anyway, so part of the deal was to make a post about myself, so here goes... I'll excuse my wordiness right away.

So we begin.. )

Education and work…. )

Family... )

Fandoms... )

Hobbies... )

And I… think that’s it. Props to you if you got through all that. Told you I was wordy! X-D

If you got any questions, I’ll be happy to answer. :-) I really am an open book.

My busy summer: A visit from my british friend!

Gawd dammit, my life! I'll get to THAT little issue in a post or two, but first...

The visit of the ever awesome [livejournal.com profile] snowstormskies!

I don't see it, but apparently visiting me is a lot of fun. [livejournal.com profile] ruchirahni said the same thing when she visited. :-)

[livejournal.com profile] snowstormskies was here last year during the summer, for about 6 or 7 days. This year, she stayed for 8 days. Not counting the days she was flying. It was AMAZING!

We didn't do any HUGE or AMAZING things this trip. :-) Mostly just hung out... shopped a bit... and enjoyed talking together.

There were two 'big' things we did though!

We went to visit Läckö Castle, which is ALWAYS a gorgeous gorgeous place! My favorite castle, to be quite honest. I have a thing for the ceilings there, for some odd reason. *lol* The artwork on the ceilings are somewhat mindblowing, because... you know... it's on the ceilings. ;-) And they're from the 1600's. So impressive!

We spent the entire day there and in a tiny fishing village close by called Spiken. All in all a very very lovely day!

Another thing we did was to meet up with another TH fan that I'd found out lived close by. Like, REALLY close by! In the same city as all my relatives, basiclly. So about 1½ hours drive away from here. So we packed all of us in the car and went to see her! Since all FIKA-places were close on a Sunday we then continued to my mom's and spent the day there. A bonus was that my mom got to hang out with Alexandra and vice versa. Alexandra really loves her grandma, so win-win!

LitenSpindel / Zarlina was a lovely lovely woman! Was a bit weird to speak about TH in swedish at times, but it was also a lot of fun to know that a diehard fan is that close by. We mostly kept to english though. :-)

And my mom overfeed us as per usual. X-D

Talk about visiting people, we also visited my lovely brother! [livejournal.com profile] snowstormskies claimed that my mom lived very much in the middle of nowhere. At this, I laughed. Because my brother REALLY lives in the middle of nowhere. He can't see his neighbours, for example. They're that far away. And it's only woods, fields and cows around his house, basically.

[livejournal.com profile] snowstromskies was very convinced. *lol*

My brother spoiled us with lovely FIKA, of course. He is great at baking, believe it or not, so it was DELICIOUS!

We also had a movienight with my best friend [livejournal.com profile] spicehobbit. Or whatever to call it. Since we watched 50 Shades of Greay. AND OMG IT WAS SO HORRIBLE! Me and [livejournal.com profile] spicehobbit made sure to get good and drunk while watching it to even stand it. [livejournal.com profile] snowstromskies doesn't drink so she was screwed. And not in the good way. Really not.

What stood out mostly to me, apart from the creepiness and stalker stuff and all other failures... Was that the main characters (and the actors) had NO chemistry WHAT SO EVER! WTH? This is supposedly to be kinky romance... It would help (at least a little) if the main characters at least looked like they wanted each other. Now it just looked like they'd do anything to be somewhere else.

So much fail. I wouldn't have watched it if it wasn't for my awesome company, just saying.

Another thing, not a huge thing maybe, but still... We alos had a spa-day. Which was a bit complicated, since the spa at the hotel was very booked, and they were short on staff during the summer. Every time we tried to go there it was either closed, fully booked or there were some other issue.

Troublesome.

The day before she left though, we went there. No treatments, but we DEFINLTY enjoyed ourself in the spa's relaxing area. So so SOOO nice!!!

Then I drove her to the airport and there was lots of hugging and a selfie no less before she borded and was gone.

For this time. She sounds determined to come visit again next year. She's welcome to! It is really a thrill to have her here!

One hell of a sharing post!

Yeah, it's time for one of them sharing posts again... :-) Next post is going to be about Midsummer. ;-) And after that I have some serious issues I need to get down in words. But first! Strap in and lets go!

As you might remember I visited the swedish festival Sweden Rock! And it was amazing. I went there to see Mötley Crüe. And even though they got really bad criticism for their performance, I really liked it. It was amazing!

Girls, Girls, Girls... )

Home )

Sorry about the quality. I just wanted to share that to me was an AMAZING night! I know they aren’t perfect, but they’re good at catching the audience, and it was amazing to see them live, it really was.

And onwards!

Not that long ago, I discovered this, which I found really interesting. You’re short on money? You need a computer? I give you Chip, a computer you can get for 9$. I admit, I’m curious. It’s not that much money, so maybe I should get one? To have as backup? I bet [livejournal.com profile] peting73, who is a serious computer geek, would find it really cool to have and poke around with as well. Decisions decisions…

Chip 9$ Computer - Kickstarter

They’ve reached their goal and some, so it’s ready and available to order… *considers*

Next subject!

I kinda love [livejournal.com profile] steinsgrrl for sharing this with me. I keep reading all the comments and stories shared on this Reddit page, and it’s SO FREEING, my female friends! My vagina is not abnormal or strange in anyway! There are vaginas that are stranger than mine! NOTHING IS ABNORMAL! X-D Also, guys. You should read this. Just to see what we’re going through on an everyday basis. ;-)

Reddit: Girls and their vaginas

YouTube is a strange and wonderful place… You dip your toe in and you never know where you end up. Here’s some various stuff I’ve found on YouTube or that are connected to YouTube in one way or another.

This short just about broke my heart. The ending especially when you REALLY get what the little short is about… Bring your tissues, folks!

Gift... )

There’s a swedish guy from refugee parents who live in Sweden and he’s… blunt would be to kind a word. But he has some really interesting views on Sweden and our culture, our politics, our social safety net, our immigrants and refugees… Pretty much hot the climate is in Sweden (and I’m not talking about the weather). Not all his vids are in swedish, although most are. Those that are, like this one, has subtitles. And I’ve checked, their good and has the correct translation.

Islam and Pedofilia... )

Here’s an article with an added trailer on YouTube about how it is to come out of the closet as a MtF transgender when you’re quite young. This girl did so on YouTube and found a supportive community there. And a movie-maker saw her and she got a role in a movie that tells the story how it is to be a transgender MtF girl. Of course there’s more to it than that, it’s a good article, but it ends with a role in a movie for her. The trailer is in the article, and I will admit I am very curious at the movie, Boy Meets Girl! It looks really good!

Boy Meets Girl - Movie and the story

Right and change of subject again! You still with me? You’re doing good! *lol*

If you read my posts you know I absolutly HATE Fifty Shades of Grey. I hate Twilight to, but that’s nothing compared to how much I hate Fifty Shades of Grey. And I’ve READ THEM! ALL THREE!!!

Anyway, here’s some articles and vids that I hope will make you think twice about reading them…

Unless you’ve lived under a rock, you’d know there’s abuse in these books.

Here’s an article that, like so many others, points out where and how the abuse shows itself in the books:

There Are NO Grey Areas When Defending Abuse

And yes, she’s rewriting her books from Grey’s perspective… yeah… *cough* Here’s The Guardian’s reaction to that:

Fifty Shades of 'nope': we don't need a reboot from the man's perspective

Now to two vids. It’s both terrifying and interesting to see these. The movie comes with it’s own set of concerns and weirdness. Everything wrong, obviously shows everything wrong with 50 Shades. Abuse and all.

But what I really liked was the Film Theory. Where they compare Christian Grey to the leader of a cult. How Grey follows the same steps pretty much. Now that was terrifying. And girls WANT a man like this? WTF?

Everything Wrong With Fifty Shades Of Grey In 18 Minutes Or Less... )

Film Theory: Fifty Shades of Grey Cult Theory... )

And to end this LOOOONG post, let’s have some feel good after that, yeah?

These two vids I am watching when I need a pick me up after a long or bad day. :-) They never fail to make me smile! I hope they will do the same to you.

Old Men Grooving... )

Britians got talent just never fail to deliver. *grins* There’s more vids with these old guys, btw. They made it all the way to the finals!

Old men grooving on YouTube

And lastly I stumbled on THIS article about a son that made a special personal ad for his mom… REALLY special!

Looking for Adam... )

And that’s it! Having finished that (finally!), I will now go do something useful... ;-)

A sharing post and stuff... Discussing, sharing and just being.

Time to share some stuff again. Also, I've discovered that the questions that LJ has on their home-page. I've... never really thought about it before, but some of my LJ-friends have started to answer them, so... Well. Inspired. And why not? Especially the teddybear question sure inspired me and brought back a lot of sweet memories.

Other things that inspire is all the stuff my friends online share with me here and there. For serious. So much fun stuff! And then I save it in an open tab, forget it's there and forget to share it and suddenly I have a shitload of tabs open which makes my chrome a bit slow... Time to do something about that!

First some Tokio Hotel! Bare with me!

This is amazing. I mean, seriously! I would have loved to watch Feel It All Tour just for this! My favorite boys drumming away!

Gustav, Georg and Tom on drums during Louder Than Love in Paris!!! )

Tokio Hotel and not, this guy is absolutely amazing! Mind blowing skill! No matter if you like Tokio Hotel or not you have to give this guy cred for his skill!

Love who loves you back (Cover, A Cappella) )

And talking about music-videos, there's this. What with a kid of my own, I can just PRAY that I manage to raise her to be as open-minded as it's even possible. And vids like this? My heart just clench for the kid in this music-video...

The Light by HollySiz )

This video is absolutely amazing. I see so many cool pole dancers online. It's not just dirty and kinky, it can be quite awesome to! And this video shows a bunch of women who tells us why THEY do pole dancing. Empowering... Show strength... So many reasons. I loved this video.

Why I dance... )

As you probably are beyond aware of I hate 50 shades of Grey. I mean, I seriously hate that series of books. I do, however, love seeing things that mook them.

And this is one of those brilliant things mocking 50 shades of Grey. Pornstars. Telling you why 50 shades suck. And not in a good way. And why you should watch real porn instead. Absolutely brilliant. And hilarious at the same time. Who said pornstars didn't have a sense of humor. *lol*

5 reasons pornstars hate 50 shades of Grey )

This one is also quite awesome! A makeup tutorial for a 50 shades of Grey makeup. And, I have to say. The makeup looks quite nice. But what makes this whole tutorial is the narrating from the makeup artist. Absolutely brilliant! So cool makeup and a wonderful narration. Win-win!

50 shades of Grey makeup tutorial )

And now for something totally different. I know, since Peting told me that in Metal Gear Solid when playing that role playing game, you could have any kind of romantic relationships. Gay or straight. Which I found pretty cool. And then I stumbled upon this article about Dragon Age Inquisition. Apparently there's a transgender character in that game. Not playable, but still. He has a big role. And he... is a female to male transgender. Right, I thought. But then I looked at the clip in this article, and I have to admit. That seems to be a pretty cool character. To bad he isn't playable. He does have a decent fanbase though. I'm not surprised. ;-)

Read the article! And watch the clip! It's pretty cool!

Dragon Age Inquisition's Trans Character

Lastly I leave this. And this will have you crack up something fierce! You all know Helen Mirren, right? That is one FIERCE lady! SO AWESOME! I'm a huge fan. I love her so much! And the best part? Even though she is pretty much a Shakespearean actress with some serious roles behind her and being one of the big names in the industry... She is not afraid to make fun of herself. And that is EXACTLY what she is doing here with a huge smile on her face! I LOVED THIS! AND CAN NOT STOP LOOKING AT IT!!!

Helen Mirren chats with Jimmy Fallon while sucking helium... )

And now, over and out!

My dear vampire-LARPers...

I just have to put this here, if not for my own memory. I love my LARP-friends, so so so so dearly. No matter if they're 30 years old or 15 years old. We are of ALL ages in that LARP-club. I think that is what makes it such a great club, all them different ages and experiences. We oldies help the young, and the young keeps us oldies young... Sorta. If you all get what I mean? To go there, even if I might play a serial killer vampire that night... It's still the highlight of my month. Just to meet all them people.

I've never really seen me as a brilliant LARPer, or actor for that matter. Since that's what you do pretty much. I just do this because I think it's fun. Yeah, there's a few guys that apparently love playing with me / against me. But I never gave it much thought. Apparently... they did. :-D

Every time we end a chapter, the GM's ask if there's anyone we players feel have done a good job and should get a boost for their character. Apparently some of the oldies new players felt I deserved that. o.O WOW! I'm touched to see that, really. Might not make much sense to anyone that hasn't been involved in a LARP, but I got both touched and tickled to see that. :-)

So here's what they said (Emma is my real given name):

Johnsson has been a GM in the past, and he was one of those that started the LARP 15-16 years ago or so. He's also one of the BEST LARPers I've ever acted against. So to get such nice words from him? Means the world!

Emma - I always know I'll have a very fun LARP when Emma is present. The development between our characters have been a lot of fun to follow and I hope our plans together will continue. Emma should also be praised for all the after work she is doing since most of the time I see her with the dishes at the end of the LARP and most others have gone home.

Thirre was one of the first female LARPers I meet when I started 2001. She is a gorgeous woman, really funny... And scary clever. A wonderful LARPer and actor. And she's the GM of the post-apocalyptic LARP I go to each summer, so to say she got one vivid imagination would be an understatement. She's really REALLY good! She made a list of LARPers she thought were good at acting. Including me.

Acting - These LARPers have shown acting skills either through a variety of characters and/or through different situations where the acting they've shown/done has really given a clear picture of their characters concept and personality.

Then both Tobbe, who has been around in the LARP for YEARS as well, and Lucas one of the younger and newer LARPers made a list each as well, just listing different LARPers and what they thought they were good at.

Tobbe put me down as a LARPer with Good acting skills.

Lukas put me down for Good acting and initiative.

All these things might sound a bit silly for anyone not involved with any LARPing, but for me it meant the world and really warmed my heart. :-) Silly? Maybe.

My goal now is to get my leg as good as possible so I can go to the LARP this Saturday and hug them all! You gotta have a goal right? I can walk moderately well with crutches, so it's not an impossible goal!

And, just because I can, have a few YouTube-vids and links that I've found interesting since last!

Anyone who follows me or [livejournal.com profile] peting73 on Instagram knows we suffer a fangirl in the house. Alexandra has turned into a Frozen fangirl of EPIC proportions. Not even joking. I've seen that movie by this point more times than I can count. Nearly every day she comes pulling on me. "Princess, mom! Want to watch Princesses!" which in Alexandra-speak means Frozen. We've tried to show her other Disney-movies, and they work for a little bit, but she always returns to Frozen. So when [livejournal.com profile] steinsgrrl sent me this...? I could relate. A bit to well, actually...

We are all this mom... (Snowed in with a Frozen-crazy girl)

I did include a vid about crazy swedes in my last post, and here's another vid about swedish costumes and habits. It's a really fun song! And if you think they joke in the song, I'll promise you they don't. :-D

Business Like a Swede )

I've ended up following more and more body-positivity bloggers, vlogers and basically people online. Considering I've struggled with my low self confidence for years since I was bullied in school. I founds this. And not only is that girl DROP DEAD GORGEOUS!!! Listen to her. And listen well.

Plus-Size Swimwear Lookbook )

It's people liker her, my LARP friends who keep telling me how gorgeous I am, and my family who has given the confidence I HAVE gained today. :-) The confidence to decide to buy THIS bikini this summer. I have saved up. I can afford it. I will have it as soon as a LARP-friend or my best friend gets a chance to get over here and take my measurements. :-)

Kicking my own ass - Life - Interesting vids...

I am doing what I keep telling others not to. I am not posting because I don't feel like anyone would find it interesting.

*head-desk*

WTH? This is MY journal. I should post no matter what. If it is interesting to me or to anyone else. To write down my thoughts does have a tendency to clear them up. I keep returning. I keep poking at this place. Because it's just... home. If you've posted/written/journaled/blogged at the same place for 11 ½ years, it does end up home, wether you like it or not.

I'll just be writing for me sake. Sharing for my sake. And if anyone else happens to like it, than cool. :-)

So on that note... I got rid of my cast this Friday! :-D YAY!!! Six weeks of me jumping around on one leg (with support) is now OVER!!! I can walk on the leg, although I still have to use regular crutches to take some weight off the leg still. It's stiff as all hell! Geezes... I have exercises that I should do every day which are dull but I can feel they are doing a difference. So dull, but good for me. Isn't that always the case with these things? *lol*

At least now I am more mobile and can move around. :-)

My brother with his kids and my mom came over this Saturday, which was AWESOMELY fun! (And they cooked food for us for some reason...) I love my brother to bits, and when a guy like him (6.2 feet tall!) takes a seat IN YOUR LAP!!! Now that's sibling-love to a whole new level! Also, his ass is bony. Someone needs to feed him. X-D

We had a wonderful time though! And Alexandra got to get out and play with her cousins at a playground which was fun by all, while I stayed at home with my bad leg and fixed coffee for the adults to drink when they got back. :-)

Then today, Sunday, we cleaned the apartment. Weekly cleaning. AND I COULD HELP!!! Yes, you worry-wards. I listened to my body and didn't do to much. :-) Promise! It's funny though how happy you can be from managing to clean the bathroom. X-D It's the easiest room to clean in this apartment, so I felt I would be abel to do that to take some load of [livejournal.com profile] peting73. And it worked FINE! :-D So now I can add that to my list of chores until I'm fully recovered. :-)

I am planning on being able to get out of the house on Saturday though. (With crutches!) To say shit has hit the fan... SERIOUSLY! at the vampire-LARP I am in would be an understatement. And not only for my character, but for ALL characters!!! Well, I really Really REALLY wanna go on Saturday! So I am doing my exercises stubbornly every day! And I know there's an elevator where we have our society local, so at least I don't have to hobble up four stories... :-) I have to wonder what our GM's have smoked though... X-D I love all them people, seriously....

To end it, have some pimping of random stuff I've come across online lately. :-)

I found THIS video very VERY interesting! Especially since I wrote my masters thesis on comics. This is about cartoons. In fact, about cartoons that are very very racist. For the simple reason they were made during such an era. It is very interesting and I do really like the way the two guys in the video discuss this. I would have loved to talk to these two guys while writing my thesis to be honest. It could have been interesting. *geeks out*

Old Cartoons Were RACIST! )

And while we're on the subject of cartoons, I've started following this cool girl Laci Green on Twitter. She's a YouTuber of some fame apparently, and is doing a YouTube show for MTV. It's all about sex-positivity, gender-positivity and just... positivity all around. :-) I have yet to see a vid by her I didn't enjoy. Here she takes up gender stereotypes in Disney movies. But not the female stereotypes, interestingly enough. But the MALE stereotypes! I really enjoyed that, I have to say! And it's not a 'not all men'-thing and hurt-men-complain-thing. No, no, no... This is a feminist girl looking at stereotypes in a new way, and I do like that. :-)

How Disney Stereotypes Hurt Men )

And now I'll destroy the swedish reputation a bit... X-D I don't remember who sent this to me, but I am now a fan of the YouTube channel Regular Ordinary Swedish Meal Time. These guys are NUTS! X-D And, sad to say... very swedish. *laughs ass off* They speak in swedish (mostly) but there's subtitles and they don't speak that much so it's easy to follow if you don't speak swedish. I keep laughing my way through these, SERIOUSLY!!!

Chop Chop Carnage Stew (Alternative Pyttipanna) )

Also, I happen to like Pyttipanna. A lot. ;-D

And it seems like Netflix is coming up with a very intersting TV-show. Especially if you're a Marvel-fan. A new take on Daredevil. Now, I really like the comic-character, but I feel they butchered the character in the movie. This, however... looks very very interesting. Going back to what the comic is REALLY about.

Family filled with bad luck? - Movie! - Books!

So... the 23e of January I broke my leg... A week later, my mom fell over and scratched up her whole face. Going on a check up, she found out that her bad knee? Had a crack in the kneecap. Fuck. No cast needed, but she needs a protective knee pad thingy to make sure her kneecap stays put. And guess what? The week after that my brother... got ran over by a cow (well, a heifer) and twisted his knee... so one of those knee pad thingies for him to, but he only had to use it for about a week or so.

WTH? o.O

And that's not all!

Mom came over last weekend to hang out and help us out a bit. As long as she's taking it easy and moving around slow, her knee is fine, so that's good. Anyway. Guess what happened then? She dropped her phone in the toilette! X-D No joke! We didn't find it there until about an hour after she'd noticed it was gone. And that's just because I needed to use the bathroom.

Geezes. Enough is enough universe! Give us a break!

At this point all there is is to laugh about it all, to be honest.

I watched an amazing movie the other day. Desert Flower. I pretty much broke down. It's about the life of Waris Dirie and her life from being a little girl in the Somali dessert to a model and to a spokeswoman against female genital mutilation. To say I broke down during that movie, despite the fun parts, would be an understatement. It was done to her when she was 3 years old.... Just 3. About the age as Alexandra....

To say Alexandra got plenty cuddles that night would be an understatement.

Desert Flower Trailer... )

Watch it. I think it's an important movie. I've put a hold on the book at the closest library (where I'm supposed to be working if it hadn't been for my broken leg...). It's next to Alexandras daycare, so I'm sure [livejournal.com profile] peting73 will pick it up for me.

[livejournal.com profile] spicehobbit, my best friend, came by said hi and helped me clean a bit as well not to long ago. She dropped off the book Temeraire av Naomi Novik. In english. ;-) So there's that. And I'm reading the book Toddler Taming as well. Because, damn. I have a toddler now. o.O At least Alexandra is a moderately calm toddler. :-)

Now I'm going to hobble with my walking support (looking like this) to go eat and watch some Supernatural and read a bit. Working on a link/pimp post as well. Gonna be a lot of 50 Shades of GreyFail in that. ;-)

Laters!

Big ass sharing post!

I've collected so many things that I've wanted to share, that it’s a bit insane. So now I am going to! I’m sure there’ll be something for everyone that might be of interest in this… Serious, funny, cute, sad or just interesting. :-)

First up is both a sad and cute one. We all loved Jim Henson, right? Apparently the artists at Disney did to, because when Jim Henson died, this was the condolence card sent to the company… So sweet and cute and sad…

There there... )

You've all heard about 50 Shades of Grey, right? Well, so have I. And I've read the first book, even if it was a very difficult struggle. Because even though it is written like a love story, it is so very very clearly not. All the things that are written as romantic traits in Christian Grey are abusive traits. And I can not understand why someone would write it like that. Anyway, here’s one of the best articles I've found as of yet on the subject abuse in 50 Shades of Grey. Might be a little bit triggering.

Fifty Shades of F**king Abuse

You think that’s it? Oh no… No, no, no… The internet is abuzz with 50 Shades of Grey pros and cons. (I hate it, but I guess you've figured that out by now.) And this… THIS is really REALLY interesting. Especially if you’re involved with fandoms and fanfic reading and/or writing. How 50 Shades became so popular and where it comes from… and how the Twilight fandom works. I wasn't privy to all that is written in this post, I'll be honest to say. It’s originally from Reddit, and the original link is in this post, but this was just a neat way to read it to me who is not a Reddit fan. :-)

Fifty Shades of Grey: The Reddit Origins Essay

Now for something nicer. :-) Like some art. Art is soothing, right? And sometimes you stumble upon an artist that is so good you get a headache. *LOL* This artist is amazing, and I beg you to go check out her gallery, since you’ll have your jaw at the floor in no time. Geezes christ the detail this woman draws…

Midnight Ramblings - …the sketches & scribblings of Stephanie Pui-Mun Law…

I follow her on Instagram as well, and man... Her progress-photos makes me weep.

Stephanie Pui Mun Law on Instagram

If you’re swedish or know the language, I do sugest you check out this interview. :-) It’s one of my sweet friends, Owlfoot, that is interviewed in swedish television since she don’t want kids and had a Sterilization done when she was 28. It’s a great interview, and I must say I am proud to have such tough intelligent and wise friends. :-)

Måste man ha barn i en lycklig relation?

And this? This is kinda cute with an important message… :-)

Human Rights - The Harry Potter version )

Talking of Harry Potter, my friend [Bad username or site: ”snowstormskies” @ livejournal.com] gave me a new view of the character Dumbledore, who I usually like. Very interesting.

Dumbledore is not a nice guy

And then there’s this. And this seriously cracked me up! X-D Men, at least you don’t have it as bad as the male honeybee! *lol* Sometimes I think Mother Nature does these things just to fuck around with us…

The male honeybee...

If you don’t know who John Cleese is, then you fail at life. *lol* Seriously, this man and Monthy Python and the Flying Circus has influenced comedy SO MUCH! Whether you like them or not you have to give them credit for that. And now John Cleese has released a biography about his life called So Anyway… which I for one really look forward reading! It has been translated and may libraries have it in their collections now….… And in preparation of that John Cleese got interviewed. By Eddie Izzard. This is, in a word, brilliance! It is a LOVELY interview! Seriously! Go look!

Eddie Izzard interviews John Cleese about his comedy influences and more )

Eddie Izzard talks to John Cleese about his school days and when he discovered comedy )

I don’t know much about Taylor Swift, I will admit. Her music is not what I usually listen to. But I will say this was very cool! It went, if not viral, then it sure made it’s rounds around Christmas. And I've rewatched it quite a few times. All the props to Taylor Swift for doing this. I don’t know many celebrities that would. To get a personalized gift from your idol? That… is pretty cool. :-)

Taylor Swift's Gift Giving of 2014 )

And here be some lovely lovely library porn. Give me a break. I’m a librarian. These tickle me like not much else. And I would love to go on a trip to explore various libraries in the world, just for the hell of it. I’m a silly sod, I know. :-D

House Of Books: The Most Majestically Beautiful Libraries Around The World Photographed By Franck Bohbot

Here’s a bit more modern a library, but damn.. It’s really cool still!

Modern gorgeous library... )

To end this post on a laugh! (A bit NSFW-laugh, but still…) Here’s an image that was shared on Plurk that seriously cracked me up. X-D

Sick as a dog... and work-woes...

Was sick last week with a fever. Nearly all week. Left work at lunch Tuesday and then stayed home all week. Alexandra was a dollface and gave mom the germ she'd battled the week before that. You gotta love kids.

So I was home with a fever for three days which totally knocked me out. I might not have had a fever for the rest of the week, but holy shit I was knocked out anyway. Thank heavens you're still allowed to leave your kid at the daycare centre during the day when you're sick. It's government run, so there's a bit of rules to follow. But yeah. I let Alexandra have a sleepin the days I was home though, and then I left her there before I went home and litterary collapsed on the couch.

Watched two movies while I was sick, Warm bodies (that was weird and midly amusing) and the remake of Robocop (surprisingly good, also YAY Joel Kinnaman!).

So basically I was of no use last week. No fever Sunday and I had my energy back, so I went to work yesterday. Which was fine apart from my clogged up ears, but that happens when you have been sick with fever and a cold. Fine most of today to... until my right ear ended up even MORE clogged up. Felt kinda like when you've been in a pool swimming to long, you know? And it hurts to and I can hardly hear anything on that ear. :-/ REALLY sucks!

Of course, after my ear ended up all weird, a whole class of students invaded the library. And after that, some obnoxious kids came over to. I ended up being called a lot of not so nice words. And I was accused of being a member of the swedish nationalist party (SD) and of being a racist. Really, boys? You're 15 years old. Grow the fuck up and listen to what people are saying before jumping to conclusions. And all that discussions and fight just because I wanted to know one of the kids names so I could lend him a book. But apparently telling me what your name is when asked means I'm a racist. *shakes head* Kids of today.

Another downer was that Tashés birthday came around the other day. I still think about her and wonder what if, what if, what if... I think I'll always wonder that. And I'm not sure I'll get any more news from her room-mate or about her son. Which kinda guts me, but there's nothing I can do.

She would have been 31 years old 28th of August.

I miss you, Tashé. So damn much. I hope, wherever you are, that you know that.

50 days meme! Day Three!

DAY THREE: your favorite movie

Only one? OMG! That is IMPOSSIBLE!!! I'll just mention the movies I return to with regularity, that good? I hope that ain't against any rules or anything...

In no particular order...

Gladiator, Braveheart, Die Hard, Lethal Weapon, Terminator II, Star Wars, Rollerboys, Lord of the Rings, The Highlander, Harry Potter, Danny the Dog aka Unleashed, Pirates of the Caribbean, Conan the Barbarian, A nightmare before Christmas, The Fifth Element, Dogma... And all the OLD Disney movies. ;-)

And those are just the ones I thought of right now. I'm sure I could add more to that list, but those? Up there? Those are the movies I can watch over and over and over and over again... :-)

All the days!  )

Link-Dump, Part Two: Random mix o' stuff...

Here's another link-dump for ya... Figured I'd split them up a bit, so... There's one more coming, actually. Unless I change my mind, you never know...

If you're in the Tokio Hotel fandom, you are already well aware of this already... and if you are not, you might not care. But hey, it's Bill Kaulitz voice, and it was very nice hearing it again.

I Am (feat. Wyclef Jean, Tokio Hotel, and David Correy)

And also, hey Tokio Hotel fans! This just really cute... ;-) Especially if you like the pairing Torg. :-D

Some Torg this way! )

More music! And a bit o sad news... Mötle Crüe, the iconic band, is calling it quits. One final tour and it's done. They've even written a contract on the fact that after this tour, no more Mötley Crüe. *sad face* I do understand them though. I DO! Mick Mars, the guitarist who I admire greately, suffers from a serious and chronic inflammatory disease in his skeleton called Ankylosing spondylitis. It's why he walks and stands like that. He literary can NOT move more than he does. And suffers from constant pain. So the fact he's been touring as much as he has is a bloody miracle. So I think Mick's health is partly the reason. And the fact they've always talked about going out on top and not dragging on with replacement members and such...

So a final tour it is. And if they are coming to Sweden? I am going. I AM! No ifs ands or buts. I AM GOING TO SEE THEM LIVE! First and only time, but I WILL, DAMMIT! I missed them the last time they were here, since I was 7 or 8 months pregnant, so... Yeah.

Mötley Crüe Final Tour interview, making it official tomb stones and all... (vid)

My favorite song by them, from their latest album Saints of Los Angeles (which is my favorite album by them, to be honest...)

White Trash Circus by Mötley Crüe... )

More music! (Sure is a lot of that this time...) But of the more happy kind... sorta... Bring your tissues. This made me smile while also bringing tears to my eyes. Kid-hospital going a bit nuts and bringing smiles to kids suffering from cancer. Yeah. Tissues. But it'll make you smile to. I swear.

BRAVE!  )

And now randomly for a comic. This is posted in a swedish blog, but the comic is in english. And yeah... Sometimes pursuing your dreams might be worth it. It's what I struggle with every day. Should I? Shouldn't I? Maybe I should? Maybe I am just a little bit closer than I was yesterday... And in the meantime I can be my kid and ´just be the best mom I can be...

Your life's dream by Bill Watterson

I feel this is a vary random post, but my linkdumps usually are... Anyway.

I really really love the up and coming swedish actor Joel Kinnaman. He has done some AMAZING acting in swedish movies, and I love that man to bits. Now he has joined them Skarsgård's in Hollywood and have done some roles there to... Then the other night, randomly, [livejournal.com profile] peting73 asked me if I knew there'll be a remake of Robocop, an old movie I do quite enjoy, silly as it might be. I had no idea. So I looked it up. And who'll play Robocop himself, you think? Oh yeah... Kinnaman. :-D It looks like it'll be an amazing movie, since he is joined by Gary Oldman, Michael Keaton, Samuel L. Jackson... among others... Now this is a remake I REALLY look forward to see! :-D

Robocop 2014 Official Trailer... )

Change of subject AGAIN! As you know I am LARPing quite a bit, and my character has changed some lately, making her prone to be addicted to stuff... (currently beer and marijuana, but that might change at any time...) So I was randomly looking around YouTube, and stumbled upon this. How to make fake cigarettes... Now, I am not smoking, but since my character has this thing for marijuana, than maybe this might be something I should make? Fake cigarettes! I think they look quite cool, and not to hard to make either. So... Yeah. :-) Something to keep in mind.

How to make a realistic-looking cigarette... )

Let's jump between subjects some more!

This just made me both head-desk, laugh, face-palm and then laugh some more...

Angry scientist finds an uneducated internet comment and delivers an epic response...

Now I got one serious and one fun and interesting link left. Let's start with the serious one.

Most people have probably read the open letter that Mia Farrow's daughter, Dylan Farrow, wrote about being sexually absued by Woody Allen. Now, he was never prosecuted, but... Reading this, I swear I'll never ever watch a movie by that man again. Seriuosly. SO fucked up... *shakes head* What is wrong with people?

An Open Letter From Dylan Farrow

And, to end things on a brighter note, I have to say I love the interenets. Going from the most serious of the serious and then to the silly and then back again...

This had my jaw drop to the floor, and I could NOT stop reading about this guy! I even started following him on Twitter! This guy has.... two dicks. Two penises that are fully functional. A condition called Diphallia. I am so fascinated by this, I don't even... And everyone I've discussed him with, goes totally fascinated to and goes straight online to find pictures. Not hard to find. He provides them himself with regularity (no face though for obvious reasons). So not only does he have two dicks... he seems to be a genially nice and interesting guy.

DoubleDickDude answering questions on Reddit

DoubleDickDude on Twitter: @DiphallicDude

That concludes the link-dump of today.

I am sorry I haven't answered the MASS of comments I've gotten on my posts lately. THANK YOU everyone! I will get to it when I get back from moms on Sunday. Have a great weekend everyone!

One HUGE sharing post with LOT'S of stuff, serious, fun and everything in between...

This sharing post is long LOOONG overdue! *lol* I've had these links waiting in tags for a long time, and well... Now there's a lot of tabs. ;-)

Enjoy!

Got a link for this blogg, Megan Kerr from my RP-friend, and damn WHAT A WOMAN! BIG, sexy and beautiful! And with a lot of attitude to boot. I LOVE IT! Also, she has this swimsuit special, and I think I just found the swimsuit I want. Dammit for being so expensive though! :-P

Meagan Kerr's Swimsuit Special!

Just two posts under that tag currently, but apparently there's supposed to be three of them eventually. :-)

The swimsuit I want:

Now how sexy is that? And how sexy is that woman?!?! o.O I want! But damn if the prize for that bikini ain't a lot!

Talking about big sexy women... I stumbled upon this community [livejournal.com profile] fatshionista, a size-positive community... and feel COMPLETELY in love! GEEZES! Talk about fierce women! o.O I have asked to join and are still waiting to be approved. Damn. I see a lot of selfies in the future. To bad I have such boring clothes. *lol* Although, I will admit the pants I bought the other day are pretty cool...

Anyway!

Found this as well, and I damn well nearly cried. o.O How amazing is this? Everyone is beautiful It just depends on who is looking and how...

Powerful Video Of People With Disabilities Reacting To Mannequins Of Themselves Will Make You Cry And Smile At The Same Time

I do follow the book-blog Forever Young Adult, and they do a lot of fun reviews of books written for young adults. There's a lot of great humor in their reviews, and they are very LGBT-positive! :-D Win-win in my book. ;-)

And they posted a review of a book that sounds really interesting.. About a trans-sexual youth. Called Freakboy and written by Kristen Elizabeth Clark. Definitely sounds interesting... Check out the review HERE:

Male? Female? Other? - FreakBoy. Kristen Elizabeth Clark takes on the forgotten T in LGBT.

Randomly, have a seriously cute gif before we continue:

I am not on Tumbler often, but when I do I do run into some gems...

Like this one. I really love Disney movies, Hunchback of Notre Dame one of them. And I LOVE the song Hellfire in said movie, surprisingly sexual considering it's Disney... It's sung by a man... Now what if we genderbend it... :-) It does sound REALLY cool sung by a woman to. There's some fanart there as well with Frollo as a woman. ;-)

Sweet Poofin singing Hellfire from Hunchback of Notre Dame

More music! I am a HUGE fan of the musical artist Fred Johansson... He has one of dark heavy voices that crawl into your soul, I swear... And when such a singer takes on a song like Poor Jack from Nightmare Before Christmas... it can only be magical. :-) This makes me shiver every single time i listen to it. :-D

Fred Johansson singing Poor Jack from Nightmare Before Christmas

I have had the pleasure of hearing him live as Javert in Les Miserables more than a year ago. I still remember it. :-)

Another thing I found on Tumblr was this about how sometimes history proves to be really damn kickass! :-D

A fake eye made out of gold? That was USED? Pre-history time officially kicks ass...

I saw created a prompt around that...

To get you even more into the Christmas-spirit, maybe this might help? The company WestJet sure gave their costumers one HELL of a Christmas surprise! :-D All cred to that company, seriously! The look on those travelers who got their Christmas-surprises are absolutely priceless! SO AWESOME!

WestJet Christmas Surprise Will Make You Believe in Santa

Then there's this. I have no idea where the clips are from or if it was just made for that song, but gawd damn, talk about feel good feeling all over! :-D

Husbands - Unconditionally )

Even Joss Whedon makes an apparence! That made me lol, to be honest! Kinda awesome! :-D

Something else that made me lol was this:

Americans Try To Place European Countries On A Map

Not saying I can place all the states in the US on the map, but I do know where the country is and what countries that boarders the US. :-)

Then there's the ever awesome James Marsters (the vampire Spike from the tv-show Buffy, for those that don't know) talking about what makes vampires cool... and his favorite vampire-actors.

James Marsters on cool vampires )

Funny how iPhones and the company Apple is raised to the skies as the greatest thing ever... This... was eyeopening:

Dirty secrets Apple doesn't want you to know...

Some I knew, but... not all. :-P

Then I found out about the To This Day Project... and was amazed. Look at this video. The art, so amazing... so touching. And it's all true. Everything said in this...

To this day... )

Now for something more uplifting... I found this vid-series on YouTube, that had the goth in me cheer! :-D A series of short movies about... the adult Wednesday Addams... *lol* I'll just let you think about that one a little, and then point you the view to all the episodes. They all a theme, like... job-interview, apartment hunt, a date... *lol* Amazing! I highly recommend checking them out!

Adult Wednesday Addams by Melissa Hunter

I thought they were fun anyway... :-)

More fun, me and [livejournal.com profile] peting73 did a Quiz/meme/test today. :-) It was a lot of fun, and the combo we ended up as made me lol. X-D

Which Game of Thrones character are you?

[livejournal.com profile] peting73 ended up:

Robb Stark:

You’re the King of the North! Loyal, handsome, and brave. You also hate weddings.

Me? Well...

Khal Drogo:

Though you want people to be scared of you, you’re a giant softie at heart. You’re also dead.

How awesome ain't that? Damn Martin for killing off Drogo though...

Let's stay in the fantasy-genre for just a sec and kill some minds with a mindfuck. I know there are fans of them dwarfs out there...

Mind officially fucked...

Talk about fucking... To those that are of age or just sexually active... We've all been there. X-D I swear!

The 6 Best AND WORST Ways to Have Sex

So very very true...

And this LARP/RP-blogg on Tumblr made me grin. How cute aren't these two cosplayers cosplaying Dean and Castiel of Supernatural? I'd say they do a pretty good job to!

This is the story of Dean and Cas... and sometimes Sam

Talking of pirates.. HOW could I, an old PotC-fangirl... miss this? Black Sails a series about pirates that the channel Starz will start airing in January... I can not WAIT to get my hands on this! PIRATES! YES! WOHOO!

Black Sails trailer... )

Now THAT... looks really promising. :-D

And if you managed to get through all that? All the props to you. :-)

Now I am going to bed and to stress about the fact it's almost Christmas... ARGH!
