ast week at work was SO MUCH FUN! A bit confusing and exhausting, but SO MUCH FUN!

Because I went on a Halloween ghastly ghost tour! :-D And did haunted walks in four libraries last week. Amazingly fun to get to scare kids for a full week. ;-)

Last year I did it the first time, since we didn't know what else we should do for Halloween... So I suggested I'd spook myself up and haunt the basement. I did. And it was a success! Although, I di believe my colleagues were the most afraid of me. *LOL*

So, fast forward to... a couple of months ago, and one of them collegaues where at a meeting and told other librarians about it, and well... the next day my workmail exploded. *LOL* And I was booked for every day of last week which is the only week during the autumn when the kids and teens are off school for a week. And so it was no problems for me to do other things instead of being at the school-library.

First night, Monday this week, was NUTS! Mostly older teens, between 12-15 or 16. And SO MANY! Around 60-80, the responsible librarian though! They'd turned a conferense room upside down, as if a poltergeist had been in there, and man... I did the worst with that! Most of the kids and teens in there screamed and giggled and laughed. Unfortunally a few boys wanted to be tough and tried to pick up a chair and throw at me, but apart from that: FUN!

Then Tuesday, my 'home-library' apart from my school-library, so they got the first shot at picking day. Worked GREAT! Since the room I was in is a mini-movietheatre. All with black walls and red velvet on the chairs. Perfect to be a ghost in. *lol* Again, great success! Around 30 kids and teens came, a little bit younger then the day previous. And, about three times as many as last year when I did it the first time here. So, again a great success!

I was supposed to be at another library on Wedneysdays, but they had to cancel. A shame, but I did get a lot done at my school-library, so hey! Not complaining about that!

During Thursday I was actually haunting during the morning in a BIG room! Kids around... 7-9 year olds came over. The library was doing a collaboration with a day care center, so that was pretty awesome! And, to be honest, these kids? They were the bravest! I seriously looked creepy, and by the end of it they felt sorry for the ghost (= me) and gave me hugs to make me a happier ghost. SO CUTE! The ones that were the most scared were the adults that came with them. :-)

Friday I got the latest night... Said library is a bit on the countryside, so a bit more family-oriented naturally, somehow. Which was not very good for this night, since there were a few families there with kids that were far far to small for a Halloween haunting, so I had to tone it down as much as I could. There were a few of the bigger kids 8-10 year olds that ended up being a bit braver at the end of the evening though, and ALMOST dared to give me a hug. :-)

But all in all? This week? A HUGS success! And I'm convinced I'll end up doing this again next year. The same libraries? Time will tell. And if so? First come, first serve. :-) Can't wait to see what comes off it. And I hope they'll let me know what they thought of my little ghost-performance. :-)

Oh, and here's a photo of my four ghost-looks this week!

This entry is cross posted between LJ and DW. Comment where you are comfortable.
Ugh... :-P Cramps and pains from hell, thank you very much. *is not amused* Not a good day.

Well, it is. It is also [livejournal.com profile] peting73s birthday today. :-) My lovely, lovely man is 38 years old today. :-D Much cheer for that! We haven't done anything special really today... Just lazed around and taken it easy. I have no hours at the library today, so... No work as it were. And [livejournal.com profile] peting73 has taken this whole week off since he thinks you shouldn't work on your birthday. I like that philosophy. *grin*

We've done other stuff, of course, but I'll talk about that at a later date. Promise!

Now for some stuff I've found around the net that I wanna share with you guys!

I know Halloween is over and stuff, but damn if this is not cool! Had I a house, I would LOVE to have this in my garden! I wonder if one could have one of them on the balcony... Hmm...

Glow-brides... (You can get a description how to make one in the comments...)
Glow-brides.. )

Pretty gawd damn awesome, aren't they? :-)

More sharing! :-D These are just... yeah. Spike? Angel? Is there something you haven't told us? Apart from that... "one time..." X-D

Spike/Angel balljointed dolls...
Spike/Angel... canon... with dolls... )

And this...? This is just TO COOL! Give it some time... The man is... such a skilled dancer! :-D It should NOT be possible to do that with your body!
Flat-Top! )

Also, [livejournal.com profile] emilyexorsist started a happy meme in the Tokio Hotel fandom, and since I am mostly writing Tokio Hotel fic for this years Sketchavember... well, why not join, yeah? :-D Just click the image!

Talking off Sketchavember! :-D Here is the drabble for today! This one went very easy to write, I must say! Didn't know what pairing I wanted at first, but nerded out and used a roleplaying dice with four corners to decide! X-D It worked out well, as you can see. And then the ficlet/drabble just grew to what you see here. :-) Enjoy!

Saucy wench...
First off, HAPPY HALLOWEEN everyone that has celebrated it! :-D I hope you had a brilliant time, all of you.

(Click for bigger, if you dare... Manip made by the amazing [livejournal.com profile] 4am_secret, all credit to her.)

I haven't written anything about the LARP this Saturday yet. Fail! :-P Anyway, it was AMAZING! Vampire-LARP on Halloween usually is. :-)

All vampires in the city had been invited to a gathering to honor the memory of the loved ones they had lost. Of course Rose brought some of her memorabilia from Bielke, which she kept an eye on like a hawk the entire evening, worrying that someone might take anything from her. (She is just a wee bit obsessed...) It just happened once... The crucifix that she has after Bielke was stolen, but soon found. Around the neck of another, who had been possessed by Bielkes ghost. X-D Good lord. That ghost will haunt her for the rest of her life! Well, unlife... *laugh* But that wasn't the only haunting that evening. The GM's were very clever, and had prepared a ton of little notes that they subtly handed out during the evening. On the notes there were a short text telling you what happened to your character, and then you had to act it out accordingly. :-) It was fucking brilliant! I think Rose ended up falling in love in three different characters during the evening, all three times ending up in a jealousy threesome drama. :-P So, that was awesome! And then she ended up believing that if someone shaped there hand like a gun, she thought it was a real gun, and so got shot with it... only to wake up a moment later, wondering what happened... Oh, it was amazing! And since there was a ton of notes handed out, stuff happened all the time around us. So brilliant. :-) So that was definitly fun! I hope they'll use notes like that again, since it brought so much to the game!

I don't know how many of you are friended to the amazing Da Croak aka [livejournal.com profile] croaky? But you should be. She is amazing, and also damn funny, with a black sense of humor. ;-) Not to forgot, a brilliant artist. :-) She has this project each year that she calls Sketchavember, to celebrate creativity. I didn't join in last year. Hell, I can't draw and I can't use Photoshop or anything like it. I didn't feel like I could contribute anything. I can't even write. Well, more then really short drabbles. :-P This year I thought I would join in however, so here is my first contribute. :-) I borrowed [livejournal.com profile] peting73 epic camera and took two close up photos. The first one didn't quite turn up the way I thought it would, but the second one turned out quite alright. :-)

Join in, why don't you? :-D

Halloween witch
First:

For all off you who celebrate it:

Tiny witch.. Spiderpumpkin.. Witchcat..

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!

Evil cauldron.. Candypumpkin..

Now thats over and done with, lets get down to business... That is, whining. :-P

Cause, gawddammit! I have no washer-machine. Right now I'd really like a washer-machine in the apartment. This has never been a problem before. There is a laundry room in the house, after all. But! It is now renovated. We haven't had access to it in almost a month. Today I figured to take a walk down there to see how far they have gotten on the work. They should soon be done. I had my key to the laundry-room with me. But... The locks had been changed. Damn! And there was a note on the door. A small one. Saying "Thanks to delays in the delivery of the construction materials the work will be delayed with another week." WTF!?!?!?! That would mean, when they are done.. That we haven't had access to the laundry-room in 1 ½ month. That SUCKS! It would have been OK if they had given us an alternative laundry room. But no. When I asked about this before they started, they told me to go to my mom and do my laundry there. Excuse me? My mom lives two hours drive from here... He didn't answer me after that. (And I am 6feet tall and 30+ years, dammit! Don't treat me like a fucking kid!)

I am usually quite the calm person. But this is getting ridiculous... :-/

Thankfully [livejournal.com profile] peting73s aunt let us borrow her machine today when we were there to congratulate her husband. She is made off awesome, and lives close by. :-)

Sorry about ranting on Halloween night off all nights, but I just had to get that off my chest. :-P I hope everyone is having an awesome day! And, to those that knew him and still remembers him... Talked to Farbror Frej the other night. :-) He says hello!

Cute witch..
I really hope you have had a wonderful Halloween, all those lucky people that really, REALLY celebrate it. Not much celebrating here, sadly. :-P

I was however dressed up at work... Yeah. They had this contest today for best costume and all that jazz... I took what is easiest for me, and dressed up as my LARP-character Rose Valentine. I got a lot of cudos for my neat costume, though. :-) That felt great! All the shouts that I looked great felt a bit odd though. It is not like I try to look good when I put on vamp-makeup... Ehm. :-P It was fun however, so... :-)

Rose got a day-job?!?? )

What amused me the most is that one of the persons that I really, REALLY dislike at work.... Dressed up as a witch. Oddly fitting. X-D I don't know if I won best costume though, since I had a short day today, and left before the prizes was handed out. I didn't mind though. Leaving work early is always nice. ;-)

We were going to a birthday party in the afternoon and we missed one part of the gift, so I had to get that before I came home. In the middle of the day... In full vamp-makeup... Yeah, I did get some odd lucks, but it was just fun. I never mind getting odd lucks nowadays. :-)

Birthday party was fun! Peting's uncle had his birthday today. Great bunch of guests, among them his mother, who is a fountain of stories of the old days... We discussed things from 1850 and onwards... Was a blast! Old people can be a lot of fun to. Just saying. :-)

So it is has been a busy Halloween, but only with good stuff, so I am happy. :-)
