ast week at work was SO MUCH FUN! A bit confusing and exhausting, but SO MUCH FUN!

Because I went on a Halloween ghastly ghost tour! :-D And did haunted walks in four libraries last week. Amazingly fun to get to scare kids for a full week. ;-)

Last year I did it the first time, since we didn't know what else we should do for Halloween... So I suggested I'd spook myself up and haunt the basement. I did. And it was a success! Although, I di believe my colleagues were the most afraid of me. *LOL*

So, fast forward to... a couple of months ago, and one of them collegaues where at a meeting and told other librarians about it, and well... the next day my workmail exploded. *LOL* And I was booked for every day of last week which is the only week during the autumn when the kids and teens are off school for a week. And so it was no problems for me to do other things instead of being at the school-library.

First night, Monday this week, was NUTS! Mostly older teens, between 12-15 or 16. And SO MANY! Around 60-80, the responsible librarian though! They'd turned a conferense room upside down, as if a poltergeist had been in there, and man... I did the worst with that! Most of the kids and teens in there screamed and giggled and laughed. Unfortunally a few boys wanted to be tough and tried to pick up a chair and throw at me, but apart from that: FUN!

Then Tuesday, my 'home-library' apart from my school-library, so they got the first shot at picking day. Worked GREAT! Since the room I was in is a mini-movietheatre. All with black walls and red velvet on the chairs. Perfect to be a ghost in. *lol* Again, great success! Around 30 kids and teens came, a little bit younger then the day previous. And, about three times as many as last year when I did it the first time here. So, again a great success!

I was supposed to be at another library on Wedneysdays, but they had to cancel. A shame, but I did get a lot done at my school-library, so hey! Not complaining about that!

During Thursday I was actually haunting during the morning in a BIG room! Kids around... 7-9 year olds came over. The library was doing a collaboration with a day care center, so that was pretty awesome! And, to be honest, these kids? They were the bravest! I seriously looked creepy, and by the end of it they felt sorry for the ghost (= me) and gave me hugs to make me a happier ghost. SO CUTE! The ones that were the most scared were the adults that came with them. :-)

Friday I got the latest night... Said library is a bit on the countryside, so a bit more family-oriented naturally, somehow. Which was not very good for this night, since there were a few families there with kids that were far far to small for a Halloween haunting, so I had to tone it down as much as I could. There were a few of the bigger kids 8-10 year olds that ended up being a bit braver at the end of the evening though, and ALMOST dared to give me a hug. :-)

But all in all? This week? A HUGS success! And I'm convinced I'll end up doing this again next year. The same libraries? Time will tell. And if so? First come, first serve. :-) Can't wait to see what comes off it. And I hope they'll let me know what they thought of my little ghost-performance. :-)

Oh, and here's a photo of my four ghost-looks this week!
