I am a fan of Robin of Sherwood, Xena: Warrior Princess, Buffy: the Vampire Slayer, Pirates of the Caribbean, Tokio Hotel and Sons of Anarchy. I don't apologize for anything I write here. Oh hummm.... Let's see.

I've been working my ass off. As per usual. Sometimes it feels as if someone has to for these teens.

I did listen in on a conversation with one of our teens, 15 years old in 9th grade, who is already heavy into crime and drugs. Our headmaster was hanging out with him and his friends, also more or less criminal.

Our headmaster had read an letter in the newspaper that he told the boys about (they are boys, no matter what they say or how they act). It was a sister that had written to the newsletter about her brother that had died from an overdose of drugs.

Now these teen boys, we know they are 'runners'. They deliever and sell for the older gang members in the area.

The boy I was thinking off, he got upset with the headmaster for talking about, claiming that the dead brother hadn't known what he was doing, because the drugs he was using were safe.... And that anyone not living in the area is just there to fuck with those living there, and that we all look down on them.

Yep, so that's how the view is in the area where I work. *sigh* For the record I REALLY don't look down on the people living in areas like these. We have two areas in this town that are high in crime and honour-shame culture and many many refugee families.

Me? I'm just trying to do my best at the school, buying and spreading books to try and open their eyes as good as I can.

Don't know why I'm writing this, but as always I'm just writing down what's running through my head.

It's been very calm in the school library lately. It usually isn't, put it that way. It's a place to hang for these kids. They find a comfortable couch, they will sit and and talk and... chill, as they say. "We just want to chill a bit."

Yeah well, when they chill... they end up LOUD. And I have a ceiling that's three stories high, so... you can imagine how it sounds like.

And then there's some issues in the family to, but since I have some of said family reading here, I'll make one of my extremly rare locked posts about that. Because I need to get it out.

Maybe that's why I made this post? Because I needed to just... write down my thoughts. *shrug*

For the record, nothing has ever happened to me there, and I've worked evenings in the regular library in the area. It's like the gangs are mostly fighting each other.

Oh well.

It's the Easter Holidays, so I'll have plenty days off. Even took one extra day off. Meaning I'll have plenty days off to write that post that I feel a need to. :-P

Over and out for now!

So... I decided to cut a bit more in my flist. I'M SO SORRY! I thought I'd be able to keep up the way it was, but... apparently not. I really really hope this was enough of a cut so I can keep up now. Since I kinda don't want to cut more. To those I had to let go, it's been GREAT knowing you!

Anyone is OF COURSE free to cut me from their f-list as well. I don't mind at all. :-)

And now onwards to something totally different.

Easter was great, it really was. We went to my mothers and spent the night and got spoiled. As per usual. :-) Mom's gentleman caller was there to. They spend as much time as they can together. He is really nice, with a great sense of humor and makes my mom very very happy, so I am happy for her.

I did do one stupid thing though. My sensitivity against cats BLEW UP! Because I forgot to eat my meds. :-P You're supposed to eat them a few days before exposure to whatever it is you are allergic or sensitive against, and... I didn't. Stupid. *face-palm* I have no problem with our cats, but moms? Yeah, problem. And I can't help but cuddle with them, because they are GORGEOUS! And LOVES being cuddled. And totally spoiled. :-)

Plus I got to meet my wonderful, wonderful little brother that I love so dearly! And his kids! BONUS! :-D

So we had a great time!

Only sad thing was that when I talked about my job, which I am sorta proud of managing the chaos and I do very much care about the kids... I found out that mom's gentleman caller was somewhat racist. :-/ Fuck. As soon as he found out the amount of refugees it's in the area I work and sorta how many refugee kids there is at the school I work at... The previously relaxed happy talk turned... less so. Geezes. So disappointed. And he clearly hadn't read up, because he didn't need to, according to him. 'That kind of people are always like that.' *head-desk* UGH! So I just stopped him right there and said I would NOT discuss this until he'd read up on shit and knew what the hell he talked about. 'The Koran tells them to kill and harm.' Seriously? BULLSHIT! Open the damn book before you speak! I am so not talking about my job near you ever again.

Anyway, so apart from that, I had a good time. And Alexandra to, which was wonderful. As always though, she hardly ate anything. And then we came home Monday afternoon and she ate to much and to fast and... threw up all over herself at bedtime. *SIGH* So I had to stay home from work one day so she could recover from that.

The three days I did work has... been both lazy and batshit stressful at the same time. Yeah, I don't even know. And there hasn't been any kids in the library either, or the entire school! I got emails about meetings left and right and... Then noticed that on Wednesday and Thursday next week I'm supposed to be at two or three places at the same damn time. WTF??? I had to ask my boss what to give priority to. *shakes head*

Thank heavens it's the weekend now. And this will be a good weekend, I just KNOW it!

Tomorrow I get to sleep how long I want. SO RARE! SO NICE! OMG! I LOVE MY SLEEP INS! And then tomorrow night it's LARP-night. And I'll play my mentally idiotic but physically extremely strong Gangrel vampire... Let's see how much trouble I can get her in this time? X-D I've played her for nearly 4-5 years now, and she's a riot to play. She really is. It has ended up a bit of a sport for me to see how much shit I can get her in and if I can even get her out in one piece. X-D So far so good. She's still alive (sorta) and kicking. ;-)

I also thought the post apocalyptic Fallout LARP last summer would be the last one in that world/setting, but I found out a few weeks ago that there would be a new one this year. Since the city was NOT going to destroy the lovely military training area were it's been held, but instead restore it somewhat and clean up all the shit in the area. AWESOME! Means there will be A LOT of LARP's and soft airgun games and paint ball games and other sorts of nerdy activities there... And the city gets paid a nice rent every time anyone wants to borrow the area. ;-) Win-win for everyone! It really is a perfect place for a post apocalyptic LARP!

And in a couple of weeks there'll be a special vampire-LARP to! Set in the same world we normally play in, but the medieval ages. [livejournal.com profile] peting73 didn't want to go, so told me to. :-D YAY! Gonna be fun!

Happy Easter everyone! :-) Have a vintage Easter Witch! :-D

Glad Påsk = Happy Easter!

Yeah, we have Easter Witches in Sweden. Not bunnies. ;-) Wanna know why? This blog-post explains it brilliantly: Party with the devil, Easter in Sweden.

Anyway, yesterday I posted a drabble-meme... Not many has posted a prompt for me, so I figured I'd post the two drabbles I have written. I hope you all enjoy them. I haven't written drabbles in an age, but when I do... I write them quickly and without thinking really. Just the first thing that poops up in my head. First one was written in 5-10 mins. The second 10-15 mins. I think, at least... Hmm... Only partly betad, so.... Any mistakes are mine. Feel free to point them out, if you wish, and I'll fix them.

Oh, and if you want me to write a drabble, then go HERE and ask for one. No need to post the meme in your own LJ. I'll write you one anyway. :-)

I blame those that gave me prompts for this...

Easter...

Happy Easter pink

I hope everyone had a brilliant Easter, hmm? :-) I sure did.

Friday, Good Friday, we went to celebrate my cousin V who had his 20th birthday. I am so proud of him. I really am. It is interesting with the internet and chatt like MSN and the like, ain't it? I have gotten to know my darling cousin so much better since he started to use MSN. Being dyslectic, he uses MSN to practise writing and does pretty well. He has opened up quite a bit to me, and I feel very honored he has. He is a wonderful guy, he really is. And deserves so much more then he gets. *hugs* Hang in there, kid. You'll reach your stars one day.

So that was great, it really was. We even took time to visit mom to, always fun.

Then on Saturday, Easter Eve, it was LARP time. When getting my LARP-stuff together and getting ready I was really into it, you know? A guy at the LARP had even rented a really cool place for us to be, Ålgården, an art-gallery. The rooms we were allowed to be in were stunning if a bit cold. Still, when I got there I just didn't feel like LARPing anymore. I don't know... I just got this odd feeling really. The whole atmosphere was odd, really. I did hang on and did have Rose meddle in this and that (she is a curious vampiress after all, and can't help herself...), but around midnight me and [livejournal.com profile] peting73 went home. He wasn't much in the mood either, so... And if you don't have fun, you simply shouldn't be there. Simple as that. :-P I hope I'll have more fun next time it is time for a LARP. :-)

Then yesterday, Easter Sunday, both me and [livejournal.com profile] peting73 felt really, really odd. Not sick, no. But we both had these almost-headaches... Not an headache but the head felt all heavy and we had no energy what so ever. So, he played WoW all day and me I read through a shitload of fanfic. Just for the hell of it. Thats all we did, apart from some grocery shopping.

Today, Easter Monday, me [livejournal.com profile] peting73 took a long walk at the Zoo. :-) Was awesome. A bit cold, but really refreshing. Not all animals were out and about yet, but some were. The big cats, the lions, tigers and cheetahs were suprisingly active, as was the bears that had just left the bear pit. Really great. :-) Sadly our favorites the wolfs and wolverines hid to well, so we didn't see those. :-P Then when we got home, we have just lazed about basiclly. :-)

So yeah, you could say my Easter has been pretty good.

Oh, and to end this rambling post, here have a geeky song! This just made me smile, it really did. :-D Lucky girl, is all I say. Geeks are the best. *blows a kiss to [livejournal.com profile] peting73*

Happy Easter orange

So, Easter...

Spent all of Easter at my moms. Oh yes. And did things ever happen...

Lets start with Wednesday... late. My brother called and told us that I had become an aunt! Again! Wednesday afternoon/evening his son was born, so now he has two kids, a girl and a boy. :-D I am so proud of him! The little one is still... very, very little, and since the pregnancy has been very long, his fiancée is very tired, so haven't meet the little one yet. :-) I hope I can soon though.

Next comes Thursday... Maundy Thursday even.

My cousin had his birthday bash then, so me and [livejournal.com profile] peting73 went straight from home there, meeting up with mom and everyone. Lots of fun was had, of course. And quite a bit of oh and ah over our engagement rings... As was expected. I had a lot of fun, of course. I always love meeting my extended family, huge as it may be. Lots unhealthy food was eaten, something that was a running theme entire easter... (Gah! Carbs everywhere!) Gladly my cousin was happy with the gift I got him (thanx for your help, [livejournal.com profile] spicehobbit!), so all ended well.

Onwards to Friday.... Good Friday.

Or... More like the night between Thursday and Friday. After the birthday party we all went to bed and... tried falling to sleep. Tried being the keyword here. I couldn't. Why? 'Cause I couldn't breath properly! I coughed and wheezed and... Sounded like an old tractor that didn't get any fuel, kinda. I tried sleeping and relaxing for an hour, keeping [livejournal.com profile] peting73 and mom awake in the process... Finally I came to the conclusion that I need to go to the emergency ward. So, [livejournal.com profile] peting73 took me there. Where we spent between 1am to 7am... They took a shitload of tests and gave me extra oxygen, of wish one of the tests came back looking not so good, according to the doctor there. They suspected I had a embolism in my lung... O.O So, they kept me in the hospital for more tests and xray of the lungs. Gladly it turned out to be nothing, but dammit, that was scary!

Back to mom we took it easy for the rest of the Friday, since none of us really got any sleep during the night. We just helped her fix a bit around the house. Nothing heavy.

Then came Saturday... Easter Eve.

We were invited to a nice Easter dinner at... lets see... The parents of my brothers fiancée.... My brothers in laws... You get what I mean, I hope? Anyway, things have been a bit... tense between mom and her mom, so I was very happy when she had invited mom and they could sit and talk and... well, be nice to each other. :-) That made me happy. It was a bit stiff a dinner, but still nice... If that made sense. They are farmers to, so they had gathered a huge pile of sticks, wood and stuff that were burned in the traditional Easter fire. :-) Was nice.

And so Sunday... Easter Sunday.

Moms birthday, no less. :-) Of course, it was all about moms birthday, although we had time to clean our car in the morning to (much needed that...). Me and [livejournal.com profile] peting73 helped her a lot of course. Her knees are totally busted, sadly, and she is not as mobile as she used to. Things take time. So, she commandeered me and [livejournal.com profile] peting73 to fix things around the house for her. Cakes, cookies, and all the trimmings. :-) I didn't mind much. I like fixing up stuff for parties and what not. Many of my big extended family came, of course. More oh and ah over our rings (when will that end, I wonder?). What really brightened my mom, was that my brother and his daughter came over. She didn't think they would, considering the baby-boy was so little still. But they did. That made her really happy. Me, [livejournal.com profile] peting73 and my brother and his family had decided to buy mom a SodaStream (SodaStream in the US), something she had wished for, so that was a success! :-D A wonderful birthday bash all in all. We were all totally beat when we went to bed that night.

That brings us lastly to Monday... Easter Monday.

Were spent tidying up after moms birthday bash. Not much that needed doing, gladly, but some. Then we more or less just sat around, talked and played cards... Was nice. :-) (Although I lost constantly since both mom and [livejournal.com profile] peting73 are much better then me...) Until dinner, then after dinner we went home.

Can you tell me and [livejournal.com profile] peting73 are totally beat now? X-D It has been a busy busy Easter... But good to. I hope everyone else had an awesome Easter as well!

Or as we say here in Sweden:

GLAD PÅSK!

Happy Easter...
