This is KSena

Usually a friendly sort. Be nice to me, and I am nice to you. Here I ramble on about me, life, work and fandoms. I am a fan of Robin of Sherwood, Xena: Warrior Princess, Buffy: the Vampire Slayer, Pirates of the Caribbean, Tokio Hotel and Sons of Anarchy. I don't apologize for anything I write here. This is my mind. And you entered it. Welcome.

I've had quite a nice few days, I must say... Having so many days off has been wonderful really. :-)

Saturday we visited mom to check up on her after her surgery and just saying hi. :-) She loves it when we comes to visit. And she was doing GREAT! :-D Felt really good, and even though she can only eat teeny tiny portions of food at a time, she felt full all the time. Amazing. :-) Summer has finally arrived to Sweden and arrived good. And visiting mom and during the drive there, I was again reminded that yeah... Sometimes this country does show off it's good sides. ;-)

Summer-time in Sweden... )
On our way to mom, we always stop at this WONDERFUL little coffee shop that is in the middle of a stream... we stopped there for breakfast this time and it was great! The sun was shining, birds chirping... and all that water. You sit on little islands bound together with little bridges in the middle of the stream. Bliss. :-)

[livejournal.com profile] peting73 of course ran around with his epic camera taking pictures here and there... I hope he'll upload some one day, they are REALLY good! He is getting good at taking photos.... Not fair though, says I, and snapped a few shots of the photographer! X-D

Snapping shots at the little coffee shop:
Got ya'! )
True love, I tell ya'! *lol* When I showed him the photo on the camera all I got was: "What? You weren't supposed to take a photo until I pulled my finger down?!" X-D We are such crazy nerds I tell you!

Anyway, we had a lovely day! And before we left mom's, even my aunt and her hubby showed up on their Harley Davidson! It is summer and they were just out for a joyride and visited mom on the way. :-D Awesome!

So that was a great day!

Sunday I went to visit [livejournal.com profile] spicehobbit. Had to really, since I won't be able to in quite a long time! *gasp* She is on her way to the UK! For four weeks no less! :-D She is going to a language school traveling with Blueberry Education. :-) I hope she'll have an awesome time! In fact, I am sure she will since she has this crazy love for anything and everything coming from the UK! X-D We just did what we usually do. Talk shit and stuff, just hanging out and being best friends... and nerds... the way we do best. *lol* We also came to the conclusion we NEED THIS IN OUR LIVES! Even if none of us are very girly, we still do!

Konad Nail Art stamping...  )

I hope Ugglefot (aka @Owlfoot) and [livejournal.com profile] _devilcandy_ paid attention there!!! I am seriously considering buying this shit... DAMMIT! ANYWAY!

Today me and [livejournal.com profile] peting73 cleaned out our bookshelf in preparation of getting up new wallpapers. I mean, we had to move the book shelfs, and to do that... you have to get all the books out. And we have A LOT of books. Not kidding. So we decided to clear out all the books we didn't want or didn't like. And we did. HOLY SHIT! The whole bed was full of books that we didn't want or didn't like. Not kidding. Both me and [livejournal.com profile] peting73 cleared out a shit ton of books. I have mostly fantasy books and biographies, while he has mostly books about WWII, the cold war and science fiction... One goldie I found far back among [livejournal.com profile] peting73s books was a Star Wars book from 1977, a retelling of the original movie... AWESOME! Ehm.... Yes, we are nerds, why do you ask? *lol* ANYWAY, we kept said book among many others (I have a shit ton of strange comics and graphic novels, for example) and the rest we divided up in three piles. One pile to throw away, one pile to sell to a second-hand bookshop and one pile to bookcross! :-)

The books to throw away I threw away today already. I hate throwing away books, but I steeled myself and did it. The sell-pile I'll drag downtown this week someday.... And I have already started to bookcross from the bookcrossing pile. It is A LOT of books in that pile to, let me tell you.

So today I bookcrossed three books, while I was off grocery shopping.

First book... )
This one, Watch you bleed - the saga of Guns'N'Roses (Called Welcome to the Jungle in swedish translation) I put on a bench right outside the checkout... :-)

Second book... )
This one, Edward Finnigans upprättelse (a classic swedish crime novel) I put right by the entrence on a bench. Funny thing, when I was waling away from it, a young woman ran after me telling me I forgot something. Coming with her back, I explained to her about bookcrossing and that she was free to take the book if she wanted to... Not sure if she did, but she did sound interested. :-)

Third book... )
Last one I put right on the shopping cars by the back entrance. (There are two entrances at this store.) Book called Skynda, kom och se! (a drama book, I'd say). Perfect. And during this evening I got a message telling me this book has been picked up and will go on a trip to Turkey! WOO! So cool! :-D

So I'd say my bookcrossing adventures were of the good today! :-D I'd suggest anyone to check out bookcrossing. It is so much fun! *points to banner below*

Gothic love ...
Yeah, so... Today I talked live on radio for the first time ever with hardly any preparation.... Was I nervous before? Oh hellz to the yes. But damn, was it fun! The lady I had mail-correspondence with was damn nice, very eccentric and was the radio-show host. All in all a very interesting experience. :-) And apparently she thought I was so good, she wanted me to come again. :-D

The book I give a book-tip about was Good Omens by Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman. We also talked a bit about Bookcrossing and about fantasy and how it is considered among most adults. I did listen to it afterwards, and was impressed that I didn't sound very nervous, unless you know the signs (the heavy breathing is a dead give away, if you know me). I do sound damn nasal when talking though, and it sounds pretty horrible to me. :-P

But anyway. If you wanna hear me on the radio, you can do so here:

Radio Sjuhärad Förmiddag: Nyheter, musik och boktips. (Opens in a popup window.)

It is in swedish though, since it is on a local radio-channel here and you'll have to jump ahead until 7:58 mins, since there is the news first. Then you'll get to the boktip part aka me making a fool out of myself part. :-P

Spring girl
What with all the drama this saturday I forgot to say how much fun I had before the vamp-LARP. :-D I had a PartyLite party at home before going down to the LARP. We were supposed to be six or seven people, but since so many canceled it was just me, mom and [livejournal.com profile] spicehobbit there. Oh, and my friend that sells the stuff. :-) That didn't matter though, we had a great time! All of us are quite addicted to those candles, so... Yeah. *grin* Some shopping was done.

And then there was time for coffee and cakes... I had done some experimenting in the kitchen, something I love to do, especially when it comes to cakes and cookies. And I promised you photos, didn't I? Prepare to drool... I can promise you... these cakes were bloody delicious... (You can click all photos to make them bigger.)

My table in the kitchen ready and waiting for everyone dig in!
Come and get it! )

The Ambrosia-cake. Had a lot of almond icing in it and on top a glaze based on powder sugar.
Food of the Gods...  )

The Passionfruit-cake. You think it looks sticky? It was. X-D It was drenched in a syrup made of passionfruits and sugar, not to mention there was passionfruits in the cake mixture as well. And was so bloody awesome!
Filled with passion... )

And lastly, the Bake-Wednesday-Cut-Thursday-Cake. X-D Long name on one of the most delicious cakes around. OMG it was so good! Orgasmic almost! So much chocolaty goodness....
Chocolaty goodness... )

So that was a definite success! Mom stayed a bit and helped me clean up after this little cake and candle party. ;-) We talked a lot and hung around a lot to, of course. I mean, [livejournal.com profile] spicehobbit has known my mom as long as she has known me. ;-) Then mom gave us a ride down-town so [livejournal.com profile] spicehobbit could go late-night grocery-shopping and I could go to the vamp-LARP. :-) All in all, a lot of fun!

More photos, btw!

I haven't done any Bookcrossing in quite long, so the other day, I did. :-D One book I gave to [livejournal.com profile] spicehobbit when running into her, so she can release it at the local hospital here in town. Someone is sure to need a book there, right? And I also released a book at a bus-stop. :-) Hopefully someone will find them and enjoy them!

A lonely book on a trip! )

Still not 100% though. Upset and... well. Yeah. :-/ I am trying though! I really, really am. :-P Thanx gawds I have [livejournal.com profile] peting73, that is all.

Us butterflies
Well, I did call my contact at the employment office today. And so, have started the bureaucracy work for getting me to that trainee job. Seems it is not that easy... But when is it every when it comes to bureaucracy, eh? Anyway, for me to be able to work there, they'll have to go through a certain department at the local government office that takes care off all the trainee jobs in the city. If they say yes, then I can start to work. If they say no, I can't. Simple as that. This is nothing the employment office can do anything about, and my contact (who is quite great) even apologized for that. Not his fault. He is just doing the best he can with the rules he has been given. Oh well. At least now they are working on it. All I can do is wait and see.

I promised the librarians to be there on Tuesday, and I will. But I can't officially work there. At least not yet. But I'll be there visiting that day and we'll see what that leads to. Contacts among the libraries and librarians are worth there weight in gold in this city.

While running around the libraries here these days, I did do some bookcrossing as well. In the excitement off possible trainee job, I forgot the post the photos I took. :-) So I'll do that just now.

I haven't bookcrossed in months, so it was fun to do that again. :-)

The 26th when I was running around asking at all them libraries, I did put out three books in the wild.

Bookcrossing photos under here! )

Then yesterday, during my awesome day, I did some bookcrossing on my way home. :-)

One more bookcrossing photo here! )

Tonight me and [livejournal.com profile] spicehobbit was supposed to go to her gym to a dance class, but alas it was raining cats and dogs, as they say in Great Britain, so when I got there in my car, [livejournal.com profile] spicehobbit was soaked to the bone, so we skipped it, got her some dry clothes, went home to my place and did a Zumba class instead. Awesomely fun! One of the dance-steps I am having troubles with, but it was a bit easier to do it with [livejournal.com profile] spicehobbit. No wonder. She's been a dancing instructor for years. ;-) Even she had trouble with that step though, so now I know I am not a total idiot! *laugh*

Right. Now I'll go try and keep up with the Tokio Hotel communities. Damn, they are active these days! o.O A ton of new photo's, vids and interviews are released what with there new album coming soon, and they had an exclusive concert in Köln yesters.... Yeah. Lots off pretty to look at. ;-)

*zoooms off*

Blue butterfly...
Had a trip to Gothenburg yesterday (I'll write about that one later) and while I was at it, I brought a bunch of books for bookcrossing. :-)

At first I planned to leave two books on the train, but when we got close to Gothenburg I was told that the train was to be cleaned out, so that didn't work. Instead I left them at one of the many little coffee-shops at the Centralstation. :-) One of the books I have read myself, was very good! And the other I got from [livejournal.com profile] spicehobbit, after she cleaned out her bookshelf.

In to the city I went. And while doing my shopping in the HUGE shopping-mall Nordstan, I left two books at a little sitting-area when I took a break. I mean, why not? There is silly amounts of people in that shopping-mall all the time. Someone is bound to find them, yeah?

To follow these books journey, see HERE and HERE.

Finally all was done, and it was time to go home. When walking past the first place I left books, I saw one of them was taken! Exited! I hope whoever took it enjoyed it. :-) So I decided to leave my last two books at the Central-station to. Considering the amount of people walking through there everyday, all of them on a journey it makes sense. This time however I left them in the other end of the Centralstation, on a bench, so they wouldn't be to close to each other. :-) One of these books are also from the clean out of [livejournal.com profile] spicehobbits bookshelf.

A big relese! Many books released into the wild! :-D I hope someone finds a good home. GOOD LUCK, BOOKS!

Also, if anyone wants any of the books that I have marked Available in my bookshelf on Bookcrossing, then please let me know. We can figure out a way for me to send it to you and then you can release it again after you read it. Of course, I expect that you register that you got it on the site. ;-) It is very easy, and you can be anonymous if you so wish.
