Usually a friendly sort. Be nice to me, and I am nice to you. Here I ramble on about me, life, work and fandoms. I am a fan of Robin of Sherwood, Xena: Warrior Princess, Buffy: the Vampire Slayer, Pirates of the Caribbean, Tokio Hotel and Sons of Anarchy. I don't apologize for anything I write here. This is my mind. And you entered it. Welcome.

I've had quite a nice few days, I must say... Having so many days off has been wonderful really. :-)

Saturday we visited mom to check up on her after her surgery and just saying hi. :-) She loves it when we comes to visit. And she was doing GREAT! :-D Felt really good, and even though she can only eat teeny tiny portions of food at a time, she felt full all the time. Amazing. :-) Summer has finally arrived to Sweden and arrived good. And visiting mom and during the drive there, I was again reminded that yeah... Sometimes this country does show off it's good sides. ;-)

On our way to mom, we always stop at this WONDERFUL little coffee shop that is in the middle of a stream... we stopped there for breakfast this time and it was great! The sun was shining, birds chirping... and all that water. You sit on little islands bound together with little bridges in the middle of the stream. Bliss. :-)

[livejournal.com profile] peting73 of course ran around with his epic camera taking pictures here and there... I hope he'll upload some one day, they are REALLY good! He is getting good at taking photos.... Not fair though, says I, and snapped a few shots of the photographer! X-D

Snapping shots at the little coffee shop:

True love, I tell ya'! *lol* When I showed him the photo on the camera all I got was: "What? You weren't supposed to take a photo until I pulled my finger down?!" X-D We are such crazy nerds I tell you!

Anyway, we had a lovely day! And before we left mom's, even my aunt and her hubby showed up on their Harley Davidson! It is summer and they were just out for a joyride and visited mom on the way. :-D Awesome!

So that was a great day!

Sunday I went to visit [livejournal.com profile] spicehobbit. Had to really, since I won't be able to in quite a long time! *gasp* She is on her way to the UK! For four weeks no less! :-D She is going to a language school traveling with Blueberry Education. :-) I hope she'll have an awesome time! In fact, I am sure she will since she has this crazy love for anything and everything coming from the UK! X-D We just did what we usually do. Talk shit and stuff, just hanging out and being best friends... and nerds... the way we do best. *lol* We also came to the conclusion we NEED THIS IN OUR LIVES! Even if none of us are very girly, we still do!

I hope Ugglefot (aka @Owlfoot) and [livejournal.com profile] _devilcandy_ paid attention there!!! I am seriously considering buying this shit... DAMMIT! ANYWAY!

Today me and [livejournal.com profile] peting73 cleaned out our bookshelf in preparation of getting up new wallpapers. I mean, we had to move the book shelfs, and to do that... you have to get all the books out. And we have A LOT of books. Not kidding. So we decided to clear out all the books we didn't want or didn't like. And we did. HOLY SHIT! The whole bed was full of books that we didn't want or didn't like. Not kidding. Both me and [livejournal.com profile] peting73 cleared out a shit ton of books. I have mostly fantasy books and biographies, while he has mostly books about WWII, the cold war and science fiction... One goldie I found far back among [livejournal.com profile] peting73s books was a Star Wars book from 1977, a retelling of the original movie... AWESOME! Ehm.... Yes, we are nerds, why do you ask? *lol* ANYWAY, we kept said book among many others (I have a shit ton of strange comics and graphic novels, for example) and the rest we divided up in three piles. One pile to throw away, one pile to sell to a second-hand bookshop and one pile to bookcross! :-)

The books to throw away I threw away today already. I hate throwing away books, but I steeled myself and did it. The sell-pile I'll drag downtown this week someday.... And I have already started to bookcross from the bookcrossing pile. It is A LOT of books in that pile to, let me tell you.

So today I bookcrossed three books, while I was off grocery shopping.

This one, Watch you bleed - the saga of Guns'N'Roses (Called Welcome to the Jungle in swedish translation) I put on a bench right outside the checkout... :-)

This one, Edward Finnigans upprättelse (a classic swedish crime novel) I put right by the entrence on a bench. Funny thing, when I was waling away from it, a young woman ran after me telling me I forgot something. Coming with her back, I explained to her about bookcrossing and that she was free to take the book if she wanted to... Not sure if she did, but she did sound interested. :-)

Last one I put right on the shopping cars by the back entrance. (There are two entrances at this store.) Book called Skynda, kom och se! (a drama book, I'd say). Perfect. And during this evening I got a message telling me this book has been picked up and will go on a trip to Turkey! WOO! So cool! :-D

So I'd say my bookcrossing adventures were of the good today! :-D I'd suggest anyone to check out bookcrossing. It is so much fun! *points to banner below*

I've never heard of bookcrossing and your banner doesn't really show anything but yellow. How does it work?

Yay for summer! It was 99F here today and I was a happy girl :)

Fail banner! And here I thought I'd use a flashy flash banner. Not a good idea, apparently. :-P

Lets see if I can explain... (Better explanation is on the website, of course.) Bookcrossing turns the whole world into a library! :-D You got a book you don't want to keep? Register it on the website and then put it out somewhere in the world where others might find it. And wait... You find a book with the bookcrossing info inside it and outside it? Pick it up. Go to the website and log the book in with its personal bookcrossing-number so the bookcrosser knows you've found it. Read it and then register it again telling where you plan to put it out and then go do so!

That's bookcrossing in a nutshell basically. :-)

Very nice to finally see a pic on Peting73. Glad you had a lovely weekend.

Also, I hope it's okay if I just say that I''m having great difficulty reading your LJ in your style. The black on grey is so dim I can't see it properly. I've probably made loads of typos in this comment but I can't see to correct them.

He is a good locking man. :-) At least I think so. ;-)

I am sorry to hear you have problem with my LJ. :-/ I think I'll actually make a poll about that, to see if anyone else has problems. I'd hate to stop using it, but if no one can reads but me, then what's the use? :-P

Forgot to give you THIS (http://ljstyles.livejournal.com/742859.html) link. Just add ?style=mine at the end of all addies that you have trouble seeing, and you'll see mine (and others) layouts in the style you have chosen for your own LJ. The default, I believe? Also you can make such a choice permanent by going to My Account Settings --> Display (http://www.livejournal.com/manage/settings/?cat=display) and click the "View comment pages from my Friends page in my own style" or any other alternatives you'd think would help you. Just an idea...

Yes, I know about that. I quite like looking at people's LJs in their styles, but I think I'll have to make an exception for yours. It would be fine if you had white type instead of black.

A nice article. :-) A bit less of the 'Oh noes! They are eating fat! They are going to die!', that I often get to see when people write articles about it. :-P It is still there, but much less of it. :-) Might also add that yes, [livejournal.com profile] peting73s cholesterol did go down. :-) Just saying. ;-) Checked by a nurse and everything. It is true what they write though. Unlike the original Atkins, I say you need more vegetables than that. Atkins says less vegetables and meat, meat, fat, fat... I say meat, vegetables AND fat. *grin*

I have so many books to do that too, as well - books I have but will never read, books that aren't my taste after all, etc. Plus a ton of books packed away in the back room, STILL.

Ugh. But cleaning out feels good, no? :D
