Bookcrossing turns the whole world into a library! :-D You got a book you don't want to keep? Register it on the website and then put it out somewhere in the world where others might find it. And wait... You find a book with the bookcrossing info inside it and outside it? Pick it up. Go to the website and log the book in with its personal bookcrossing-number so the bookcrosser knows you've found it. Read it and then register it again telling where you plan to put it out and then go do so!
That's bookcrossing in a nutshell basically. :-)
