This is KSena

Usually a friendly sort. Be nice to me, and I am nice to you. Here I ramble on about me, life, work and fandoms. I am a fan of Robin of Sherwood, Xena: Warrior Princess, Buffy: the Vampire Slayer, Pirates of the Caribbean, Tokio Hotel and Sons of Anarchy. I don't apologize for anything I write here. Home... Gawd, I missed home so much this week, you have no idea. :-P

The painting of moms house went well. Better then I thought, in fact. It only took two days, so all of Tuesday and all of Wednesday was spent painting the house. We even managed to deconstruct one of moms flowerbeds.... which proved to be a bit hellish since it had old telephone poles as a border. It is hell to saw through them, let me tell you... We managed though, and mom was very grateful. [livejournal.com profile] spicehobbit even got around to visit and say hi that day. She was taking care of her parents apartment while they were on vacation, so she was in the village to. Was nice seeing her. Almost like old times when we hung out there when we were kids. :-)

Thursday we lazed about at moms house while mom was at work. Then in the afternoon/evening she treated me, [livejournal.com profile] peting73 and my brother and his family to a really great three course dinner at a great little summer-restaurant in the neighboring village. Seriously, the food and staff there was awesome, so when they told us they were working one short, it was hard to believe them. A great evening was had by all, ending at a playground where my brothers kids had a blast with Auntie KSena... (I had so much sand in my shoes, you have no idea...)

Friday I was supposed to go meet another old friend from my school times, M, that I hadn't meet in years and years... Unfortunately she got crazy busy, so we had to reschedule. That made Friday one very lazy day. Mom worked that evening, so we took a really long walk in the woods around my moms house. I know a lot of nice paths there. It is really calming. And then we took it easy watching TV for the rest of the evening :-)

Saturday we went to visit my friend M during the day. It was great meeting her and her kids again. They have grown so big, OMG! I remember them when they were really tiny! She got pregnant when she was just 17 and things were a bit rough for her then, but she has managed to make a good living for herself and her two kids over the years. :-) She is quite a special and extraordinary lady, if you ask me. :-) She was the "crazy bad" kid in school, and I guess I started to hang around her since she actually didn't bully me (for some reason). I then discovered she was a great person underneath it all. :-) We did a lot of insane stuff back then, but unlike her I actually went to classes at school... *grin* Nowadays she is together with a new guy, a much nicer one, her kids are in there teens (OMG!) and she is working as a assistant nurse (she got her education while her kids were small). Her son is taller then me by now (more then 6 feet!) and her daughter has grown into a young beauty dreaming about becoming a tattoo artist (she is really good at drawing!). So we had a great time at her home! Even though [livejournal.com profile] peting73 and her hubby didn't say much, since well... they weren't there when we did those crazy stuff!

Anyway, now M (and her kids!) wants me to get myself a Facebook account... I really, really don't like Facebook AT ALL! But... I really, really like M and her kids... Not to mention my cousin Ella-Bella is on there to... I feel like I am cornered without a choice, and I am not to fond of that. :-/ Fuck it.

Right. So. Saturday evening the yearly summer party with the farmers around where mom lives took place. And OMG! It turned as insane as ever... Although this time there was no drunken driving of tractors... X-D I brought my songbooks with student union songs (not suitable for children or safe for work) and since we like them crazy farmers so much me and [livejournal.com profile] peting73 brought Carlshamns caloric punch with us that we offered around and then we sang the special punch-song together. Was AWESOME! So yes, a great time was had by all. Was a long time ago I got that crazy drunk, let me tell you. Gladly though, I managed to walk to the long way home to moms house afterwards. It took about 30 mins, I think. X-D [livejournal.com profile] peting73 got crazy drunk to, and didn't feel to good today. I was just sleepy and lazy all day. No hung over and I didn't feel sick either. Go me!

So yeah. Thats been my week. I hope you all had a good time this week to. I'll work on getting caught up with my f-list these days now. It'll probably take a bit, so don't be surprised if you see random comments from me. :-)

Little fairy...
So, I haven't been around posting.... again. I am alive! Promise! :-D

Anyway, Midsummer was awesome, as expected. It all started the day before Midsummer Eve. On the 24th. When we visited my aunt and her family. :-D They always have this HUGE family gathering / party / what have you the day before Midsummer Eve. I think we were about 30 - 40 people there. And that was only my relatives... and only on my mothers side... X-D Yeah, my extended family is huge and crazy and dammit, I love them all! *laugh*

Family is family is family? Especially during Midsummer! )

The day after was Midsummer Eve that we spent with [livejournal.com profile] peting73s best friend Kiltfan and his family. Was awesome! There kids are beyond cute really. :-)

Midsummer Eve with Kiltfan and family...  )

So that was my midsummer celebration. And the day after, on Midsummer Day, we went to the vampire-LARP of course and had a blast like always. Didn't get home until 5AM on sunday morning. X-D Was extra awesome since we had a really, really young kid there. We don't have any age-restrictions, but it is advised that you are around 16 years of age since the game is a horror game and we deal with pretty brutal and bloody subjects. Vampires ain't angels, folks. But he had two older siblings with him and his mom came to check us out! The first mother that has ever visited our vampire-LARP! And she was AWESOME! Such a cool mom! And the kid had a great time to he said when I asked. I suspect he will be back... and his siblings to. ;-)

Right. Now I am off to prepare for the LARP this weekend! Busy times indeed!

I'm alive, I'm alive! *laugh*

The weekend has been busy, to say the least. And then things have been really stressful at work to. Sure, I only work 3 or 3 ½ hours a day... But damn, do I work those hours! o.O

So, to start, this weekend my youngest cousin The Awesome V took his graduation. I love all my cousins, all five of them. They are like my extra siblings, almost. But V is a guy I hold a bit closer to my heart. Not only because he is the youngest, but also since we have something in common. We were both bullied like all hell in school. :-/ Unlike me though, V is a dyslectic and has had hell during classes to. :-/ But through pure determination and damn will, he managed. :-) I am so fucking proud of him, you have no bloody idea. And I told him as much, crushing him in a hug this Friday. :-)

He studied on "Praktiska Gymnasiet" (Practical Upper secondary school / High school), where they concentrate more on your practical hands on skills. And, just like my darling brother (also a dyslectic), V is very very good working with his hands. :-)

So party on it was this Friday, with a classical Swedish graduation. For V, it started during the morning with a champagne breakfast. ;-) Yep. He had champagne for breakfast, with lots of fruits, eggs and well... Lets just say his mom spoiled him silly that morning, and his sister made sure there was plenty champagne in his glass. X-D

So, photo-spam to follow! (Yes, all photos are clickable for bigger, if you'd like to see them bigger.)

A classical swedish graduation... with lots of alcohol... X-D  )

I think V collapsed once all his guests had left. And there were a lot of us to. Around 50-60 people, I think. I have a HUGE extended family, and we all support and celebrate each other as soon as anything happens. It is a great comfort and a great trouble since it means a lot of birthday parties and, well... parties and trips in general. X-D

Thats is all for today! I hope you enjoyed this little photo-spam of mine. :-)

Wow... Haven't updated in a few days. Shocking. *grin* All cool here though. I have had a great weekend, let me tell you! Although a bit scary to.

Why scary you ask? Because I spent a shitload of money this Friday. o.O I am not kidding. I bought myself a new pair of Doc Martens. :-) That always burns a hole in your wallet. This time though, I bought a different kind. I usually have there classical black ones. But when I got to Shock I saw they had a lot of different colours and styles. Even a the colour I had on my first ever Doc Martens when I was... 13 or 14 years old. Moss-green. :-D Talk about me going nostalgic! *grin* I ended up buying a pair of wine-red Doc Martens. They look absolutely awesome on, let me tell you! :-D No more wet feet from holes in shoes, thank you! So now I'll throw away two pairs of Docs, so I'll just be keeping these red ones that are actually whole. *grin* While I was there at Shock, [livejournal.com profile] peting73 asked me to shop a bit for his next vamp-character, so I did. A Misfits-tshirt and a pair of tartan suspenders. I also did buy a top for myself. That wasn't planned, but dammit, this Freak Circus top is just so me! (Mine is in a t-shirt model.)

So, that was the first stop. Next stop was Göteborgs Perukmakeri (Wigmaker's of Gothenburg). They not only sel wigs, but also professional movie/TV/theater-makeup. Heaven for LARPers in other words. ;-) So I shopped some makeup for [livejournal.com profile] peting73 like he wanted.

Since [livejournal.com profile] peting73s cousin had her birthday party this weekend I also had to buy a gift for her. Well, two actually since mom wanted me to buy a gift from her as well. So, off I went to the Sci-Fi Bookstore, since they have a lot of games to. She wished for a tabletop game. Problem = She has a mental handicap, so the rules must be very simple. Was not easy to find a game, let me tell you, but I did manage finally. Tsuro. Very simple rules, but hard to master. :-) Perfect! And while I was there, I of course found books I wanted... Dammit! So I ended up buying three manga novels for myself. The three first books in the prequel for Godchild named The Cain Saga. I love the art and themes in those books. So, a good chunk of money disappeared there to. One gift down, I also went to my favorite jewelry store, Avi & Lena Design, and bought a necklace for her to, from mom.

And finally, I had decided to buy a new sweater for myself, since I kinda need that. Off I went to another store that I really like, Sonny Bono that sell Italian mens fashion. There sweaters are AWESOME! But damn expensive. The one I liked the best was more expensive then my Doc Martens.... That should say something. :-P Anyway, I found a cheaper one (still a lot of money), that fitted me perfectly and was very nice!

After that, I went home. And was horrified with how much money I had spent. [livejournal.com profile] peting73 just patted me on the head saying he was glad I had fun. :-P Dammit. He is not supposed to be so understanding when I spend so much money! I checked, and on all that stuff I spent around 4000 SKR (530 USD). o.O Yeah... *gulps*

The evening was awesome though! [livejournal.com profile] spicehobbit and I had ourselves a girls night out. First we drank wine and liqueur and watched the final in Lets Dance. Then we put our makeup on and got down the check out the pubs downtown. :-) Was awesome! We even found a new one that we didn't know existed even! Awesome place! Ran into an ex-workmate off mine that gave me a huge hug and told me I looked fucking awesome! *beams* Always awesome to hear. Me and [livejournal.com profile] spicehobbit were very amused by the bathroom habits at that place though... We got in line. Waited. A bathroom got available. A man and woman went in together. We looked at each other and smirked.... And we waited, and waited some more. Next bathroom available. Three men went inside. Both me and [livejournal.com profile] spicehobbit love reading slash-fic, so you can imagine the giggle smirk we did at that.... So, we were next in line. And we waited and waited and waited... It took a long time. We looked at each other and the last bathroom. And came to the conclusion it has to be two people in there to! Can't be... But yes. The door opens, and a man and a woman walks out. X-D We looked at each other and laughed! Then we took turns using said bathroom. You could say the evening was awesome, with very... dirty discussions, delicious British cider and a very yummy red drink, unfortunately we never got the name of said drink.

Saturday, yesterday, was spent on [livejournal.com profile] peting73s cousins birthday party and then we just lazed around in the apartment. We watched the first movie in the Millennium Trilogy - The girl with the dragon tattoo. Really awesome movie! Swedish movie when it is at its best. :-) From what I have heard, the other two are supposed to be even better. Can't wait to see them. We also honored the Earth Hour, of course.

Today we'll just laze about, I think. Hopefully watch movie two in the Millennium Trilogy. ;-)

Dangling gargoyle
You think that all Tokio Hotel fans are emo teen girls, hmm? Well, allow me to prove you wrong! One of the mods at [livejournal.com profile] th_apex came up with the idea to make a music-video with only the fans in it for the beat up dance version off World Behind My Wall. So, she asked anyone in the community who dared to to send in a vid where the person in question were singing along with the song.

And did they ever! This morning the vid was posted. And it made my fucking day! So much joy! So much laughter! And such happiness! Big and small! Young and old! Fangirls and fanboys! Just rocking it out for the hell off it! This! Is! Awesome! :-D

Shake it boys and girls!! SHAKE IT!!!!! )
