I'm alive, I'm alive! *laugh*
The weekend has been busy, to say the least. And then things have been really stressful at work to. Sure, I only work 3 or 3 ½ hours a day... But damn, do I work those hours! o.O
So, to start, this weekend my youngest cousin The Awesome V took his graduation. I love all my cousins, all five of them. They are like my extra siblings, almost. But V is a guy I hold a bit closer to my heart. Not only because he is the youngest, but also since we have something in common. We were both bullied like all hell in school. :-/ Unlike me though, V is a dyslectic and has had hell during classes to. :-/ But through pure determination and damn will, he managed. :-) I am so fucking proud of him, you have no bloody idea. And I told him as much, crushing him in a hug this Friday. :-)
He studied on "Praktiska Gymnasiet" (Practical Upper secondary school / High school), where they concentrate more on your practical hands on skills. And, just like my darling brother (also a dyslectic), V is very very good working with his hands. :-)
So party on it was this Friday, with a classical Swedish graduation. For V, it started during the morning with a champagne breakfast. ;-) Yep. He had champagne for breakfast, with lots of fruits, eggs and well... Lets just say his mom spoiled him silly that morning, and his sister made sure there was plenty champagne in his glass. X-D
So, photo-spam to follow! (Yes, all photos are clickable for bigger, if you'd like to see them bigger.)

Said sister (the one with the champagne) holding on to V's graduation sign. In Sweden it is tradition to have a sign and wait outside the school for the graduates to run out to greet friends and family. Another tradition is to have as embarrassing photos as possible on said sign.... V was cute as a kid to... ;-) (Text on sign next to kid-photo translates to "Stronlgy worked!", kinda...)

And the man of the day! V looking gawd damn handsome just having run out of the school-building screaming and singing with his mates! I was so excited for him, I was cheering and screaming with them! Looking good, don't he?

Another tradition in Sweden is to hang a shitload of flowers and little teddybears and candy and toys and what not around the neck of the graduate, and so V got that to. Now you can't see his nice suit any more! X-D We also gave his sign to him, this time he showed of the other side of said sign, showing him of as a baby boy building with his toy tools. X-D (Text next to the baby-photo says "Now you can continue to 'build' on your future!", kinda.)

V and his parents, my gorgeous aunt (mom's sister) and my uncle. :-) Handsome couple, aren't they? :-)

Another tradition in Sweden is that the graduates have a procession or cortège through town. In this town... it is quite huge. Two big schools means A LOT of graduates. On each car platform or trailer there is also loud music and singing and dancing... well, it is almost like a festival parade or something! And on each car platform or trailer the graduates made fun of... well, everything. But mostly there school and there teachers. X-D On this one it says "The most important is not to win, but to win BIG!" To true! X-D

On this one it says "At least we know mouth to mouth..." X-D Yep. Mind usually ends up in the gutter on graduation day. Might add that the students are probably by now pretty drunk... also a Swedish tradition. Drink alcohol during the whole day, starting with the champagne during breakfast! X-D

This truck actually had a serious note on the side... Shockingly. It says "To study pays off in the long run". They were probably not drunk enough when they made it... X-D Oh, and all the yellow and blue colours are from the Swedish flag, btw. :-) One of the few times swedes are actually patriotic. ;-)

This class though, they definitely have there mind in the gutter... X-D The sign goes "We... went all natural with NV's mothers yesterday..." NV being another class... X-D Yeah... Interpret that one, boys and girls...

I liked this class though. A class with only young boys... and they had pictures on the trailer of them selfs... nearly naked. X-D I approve!

And on the tractor pulling the trailer? There proud teacher! X-D At least it looks like he sits comfortably. ;-)

And finally V's trailer came along! But we were on the wrong side of the road, gawd dammit! *curses* But yeah, it is his classmates right there. And the sign said "Joy and happiness we didn't have to study at Västerhöjd school!" Västerhöjd school being considered the posh school, while Praktiska Gymnasiet ain't considered to be a nice school... A bit of a competition between schools there, yes. ;-) So they did a kick out on there trailer. ;-)

On this trailer it says "Drunk and incapable but not unemployed!" It rhymes in Swedish, which makes it funnier. :-)

After the big procession or cortege we all went back to my aunts house and the celebration continued. V, of course, got a shitload of gifts. A whole table full of them! He had mostly wished for household goods since he plans to move away from home one of these days, I guess... :-) And that he got, so he was very pleased with all his gifts!

And before we left, I took a photo of V standing in the leaf-arch-thing that my uncle had made him. And yes... Thats more champagne right there... X-D
I think V collapsed once all his guests had left. And there were a lot of us to. Around 50-60 people, I think. I have a HUGE extended family, and we all support and celebrate each other as soon as anything happens. It is a great comfort and a great trouble since it means a lot of birthday parties and, well... parties and trips in general. X-D
Thats is all for today! I hope you enjoyed this little photo-spam of mine. :-)
