Question 03 - Your views on drugs and alcohol.
I think I am very swedish in my views of drugs and alcohol. Which makes sense. Since I am swedish. *lol* Anyway.
I wouldn't touch any form of drug with a ten foot pole. It just won't happen. I have no desire to try it and I think it is hella wrong to legalise it. It is DRUGS.
When it comes to alcohol though, the story is different. I don't mind alocohol at all. I've been drinking it since I was 16. Tried it when I was 15 (might have been even younger than that...) at home with my parents and grandparents. (Was grandpa who gave me my first shot, brännvin - spiced schnapps a hard liquor that is very common in Sweden. It was disgusting! X-D And he had a HUGE laugh!) So you wanna get drunk? That is fine. But you better be able to handle your liquor. I have no problem with acohol or drunk people. I DO, however, have problem with alcoholists and those who can't handle their drink. *shrug* Alcohol is very integrated in Swedish history and it's just an accepted part of everyday swedish life.
Question 04 - Your views on religion.
I wouldn't say I hate religion and religious people. That would be a lie. I am well aware of the fact that religion can help and give support to those that need it. What I do have a problem with though is when I am told you NEED religion or you are nothing. So not true. I see sects and churches that rule so much over peoples lives it is disgusting, all in the name of religion. I hate that God, Jehova, Allah or whatever you wanna call the higher deity is used to guilt people into doing things or not do things... "If you are not a good girl, you'll go to hell!" My ass, I say... And let me not even start all the shit that is done in the world today, and historically!, in the name of religion.
I am ever so grateful that state and church is far from each other today in swedish politics. And gets further away from each other year after year. THANK you for that, I say! Some God or another have nothing to do with how my country is run, thank you.
So what do I believe in? Nothing or everything or something in between. It's hard to explain, but the easiest thing is to say I am an atheist. It fits the best. *nods*
