Usually a friendly sort. Be nice to me, and I am nice to you. Here I ramble on about me, life, work and fandoms. I am a fan of Robin of Sherwood, Xena: Warrior Princess, Buffy: the Vampire Slayer, Pirates of the Caribbean, Tokio Hotel and Sons of Anarchy. I don't apologize for anything I write here. This is my mind. And you entered it. Welcome.

So... Game of Thrones. I have two more episodes to watch out of season five and I have come to the conclusion that Georg RR Martin and the people working on this show are... batshit insane... and genius.

I don't even have words. All I can keep my fingers crossed for is that Tyrion Lannister will survive. I know you should not have favorites in this show, because EVERY FUCKING ONE is dying but I can't help but love that crazy ass dwarf. Also, Peter Dinklage is bloody amazing.

I still wanna slap some sense in Jon Snow though. STOP BEING SO FUCKING NOBEL!!!

Anyway. Enough of that.

Apart from some lovely relaxation with my online friends, some online-RP each evening, reading on my lovely lovely F-list and just mainly hang out, I have not done that much at home. Energy when getting home from work? I haz none.

Work has been and will continue to be insane. This week was no exception. I like the fact that I had counted on one day to be fucking insane where I had three classes AND had to keep the library open during opening hours... But it was easy sailing that day. And the days where I had only one class and to keep the library open during opening hours was... fucking insane.

As always in this school, count on the unexpected. And never expect anything at all to go according to plans.

I did have some lovely moments in the library with a girl who is a practicing muslim, is a feminist and active as such online, is writing some really powerful poems together with her grandmother and has gotten a book of poems published by her grandmother in a small scale. Did I mention the kid was 16? :-) Kickass girl. She'll go far.

I have more cool girls and boys like that in the library that likes to hang out there because it's like the only moderately calm place in the school. It's just very very cramped and small and dull and boring, what with the temporary premises at the moment. After summer though, I'll have a fresh new library in a fresh new school. I can NOT WAIT!

But to counteract the niceness, of course there was some insane kids to. :-P There was a fight at one point outside the library that it took quite a few teachers to break up. (4-6 teachers, I think?) And with fight I mean a fight involving fists and kicks... :-/ Rest of the kids around just laughed and the fighters claimed they were just joking.

Right. My ass you did. :-/ You don't try to kick a guy in the face as a joke. Thank heavens none of them knew well enough what they were doing.

Then there's the normal mess and mayhem, of course. In which I mean shouting, loud laughing, chairs dragged around or thrown around, books (not the libraries) that is thrown around, phones and keys that has gone missing, teen-drama with crying girls coming to the library, kids that are trying to skip class by sitting in the library (not on my watch), etc, etc, etc... I could go on...

And I told one of the recreation leaders (aka an adult keeping an eye on the kids in the hallways) that was planning a spoken world / poetry slam project for the school at some point, I told her that I had managed to get Dogge Doggelito to the school, since he has the same background as the kids there and has made it, in a way. She, as so many others, are a rapper as well, and she laughed in my face saying he sucked ass and that I should spend money on her and other 'artists' that are already working in the school. Well, excuse me for trying to do something nice for this school. It was as if I'd insulted her by hiring Dogge Doggelito to have lectures at the school. I don't even know...

*sigh* I have mentioned it's slightly chaotic in the school I work, right? Well, yes. I don't know if it's a good or a bad thing I apparently thrive in chaos. At least the teachers and most of the kids like me and think I do a good job. Fingers crossed that will continue.

I have no energy when I get home from work either so we have that in common LOL ;-) Seriously though I know how you feel. I get myself fed and showered and just....flop

I don't even have time to flop! X-D I have a kid that demands my attention. *lol* After that and dishes though, I flop so hard in front of the computer. ;-)

It's awesome to be that safe, quiet space for the teens. I'm sure it is appreciated.

Ah high school fights...so much stupid...so many hormones...*sigh* I'm glad no one was hurt. We had a few teachers hurt once at my school because they tried to stop the fighting. High schoolers are kind of like slayers and they don't know their owns strength.

I cannot WAIT for Game of Thrones to be back!! I should probably check that my HBO Go log in is correct on my Xbox or I will be a very sad panda in April.

Oh, I think it is appreciated. I haven't worked her that long, and I already get hugs with regularity from some of the kids. :-)

Comparing highschool kids to slayers is actually a pretty good comparison! They just have less sense. :-P

Two more episodes! I think I'll be able to watch that before the week is over. :-) Hey, is the new season starting beginning or end of April? Do you know? (I need Game of Thrones icons...)

That IS far away! O.O I guess we have to be patient. At least now I know when to start paying for HBO Nordic. :-P I bet they get an influx in costumers in April! X-D

You do some really cool things at work. I'm glad you got to chat with your bad-ass 16-year old girl.

I don't blame you for feeling exhausted afterwards though.

I don't feel as if I do any cool things. I just do what needs to be done day after day. :-) And hope for the best at the end of the week. X-D

My son is in high school and likes to hang out in the library during lunch period. I try to encourage him to go have something to eat but refuses and remains in the library during this time as he likes it there. :D

Game of Thrones...well just about to start season 2. I liked the first season so will probably try to watch them all. :D

I hope you will continue watching. I'm always looking for more people watching Game of Thrones. I watched all of the series too fast and when it was over, I actually felt relieved! I was covered in gore and death and shock after shock.

Later on, I've gotten myself distanced a bit and I have to say I love the show. I love the acting and I'm very, very worried.

Oh, I most certainly will continue watching! I've bought the series on Bluray so far, but I'm getting so impatient, I'll actually get an HBO account instead since it takes a while for the Bluray boxes to get released and get to me. I'll still buy them, I think. Just for all the lovely extra material in them. :-)

Considering the carnage in that series, worrying is not so strange. :-)

I get wanting to hang out in the library, for sure! I did to! Being a bullied kid, the library was a safe haven for me. But eating is kinda important to, or you'll collapse during the afternoon classes, sadly.

I loved season one of Game of Thrones, but really.. I'd say it takes off like hell during season two and three! You're in for a ride, for sure!

She's really cool. And really annoyed with all the racism she runs into. And she has a point. Why is it so impressive that she's a feminist when it's not so impressive when I am one? Very valid point actually. :-)

Wow. That's a LOT to deal with at work. (I couldn't do it.)
Tyrion was my favorite, too, when I read some of the GT books!

It sure is a lot to deal with. :-) You never know what will happen day after day. :-)

Tyrion rocks! And because he does, he'll probably have a horrible end. X-D

From what I understand the series has now past the books? I'm not sure, but I think so. :-P Apparently the books are worst when it comes to all the fucked up shit going on. X-D

Funny, I heard the movies were worse. :D Looks like there's some book fandom vs movie fandom rivalry going on.

Oh, I didn't mean worse as in bad books. I just meant there's a lot more stuff going on in them. But that's always the case, isn't it? I'm not involved in the fandom, but I don't think there's a huge rivalry going on? *shrug* It's not to me. I just haven't read the books. So what I know is what I've garnered from the internet. And from [livejournal.com profile] grrm himself. I think the series is past the book or will be next season.

Game of Thrones: I think that the world created by GRRM is absolutely genius. I'm more of a show fan than a books fan myself and I think the writers and producers Dan B Weiss & David Benioff are extremely good at what they do. The entire production rocks! I'm looking forward to reading what you think about the ending of season 5. I am always searching for more Game of Throne watchers.

Your work sounds much more interesting than mine. I'm in awe of people like you!

I'd say I'm definitely more of a show fan since I haven't read the books at all. X-D The production is just mindbogglingly good and the amount of money they've put down on it must be huge a sum. And the actors, well... They simply rock. So you'll definitly see more thoughts on that show from me. For sure!

I don't know about my work being interesting as much as it's chaotically insane. X-D

Oh good, GoT. I tried getting through the sbooks as quickly as possible which just ended in some kind of story faith the four me and I think I only got as far as the 3rd season.. Idk I greatly skim recaps sometimes just to find out what is going on but might need to pay more attention note that they are either diverting from book cabin or going into the unknown since they are like beyond the books now?

I wouldn't be able to work in that environment or really with kids in general. I don't have the patience so I am impressed.

I they've gotten beyond the books at this point. I'm not sure, since I've never read the books. But since they have [livejournal.com profile] grrm's blessing, I do believe they're in the clear with what they are doing and all. :-) I've come to the conclusion though that I need a bit of a break between seasons to just digest what has happened. Because it is one hell of a gory roller coaster for sure!

Omgosh my tablet's autocorrect typos are super cringe worthy. This is what happens when I post things while half asleep.

I agree with the break, the series is overwhelming at times, both while reading (which I should have done) and watching.

Indeed. Hearing the ruckus and seeing what they were doing, it was really one of those 'wtf are they doing' moments. :-P They happen here now and then, gladly not daily though. Or even weekly. :-)
