This is KSena

Usually a friendly sort. Be nice to me, and I am nice to you. Here I ramble on about me, life, work and fandoms. I am a fan of Robin of Sherwood, Xena: Warrior Princess, Buffy: the Vampire Slayer, Pirates of the Caribbean, Tokio Hotel and Sons of Anarchy. I don't apologize for anything I write here. This is my mind. And you entered it. Welcome.

No really! I am pissed off! X-/

They called from the employment office today. Like 5 mins before I had to go to work. GAH! And my contact there is usually kinda laid back and cool, but not today. See, I have stopped reporting in to them these last months, and have stopped reporting in to the unemployment fund to. Since, hey! I am not allowed to get any more support so why should I? Well, I can get more support. IF! I get a trainee job. I am not kidding. But, you say, the job you do? But I only work hours, see... That is not full-time/100%. Hence I suck, according to them. So to get any support I need to have a trainee job when I am not working. So fucked up. Which would make it hell to be available for extra hours whenever they need it at the libraries here in town. My availability and the fact I am damn good at computers (in comparison to the other librarians) and the programs we use, have made my quite attractive in the eyes of them other librarians, so I am getting hours. But, according to the fucking employment office, not enough. FUCK THEM! I say! ARGGEH!!! *growl* But apparently that is not enough. I told my contact pretty much what I wrote here. And that if I took on a trainee job that I would more or less fuck up everything I have worked for these last months... Will they leave me alone then? OH no, no, no... Of course not. A specialist in... what the fuck ever... from the employment office is going to call min tomorrow. Fine. Whatever. I'll tell him the same thing. To shove it, more or less.

%@&*¤$!!!!!!

/end rant

ANYWAY! On with the Sketchavember of today. Today I'll just show off my nerd-shelf. Yes. I have a nerd shelf. Or corner, mor like. The area around my computer is my nerd-area. :-) Especially the small shelf where I have my action figures. I have already shown off Bootstrap Bill (who I haven't put in the shelf. Yet.). So here is the rest of the gang. ;-)

I hope you recognized most of them!

And now I'll go cool off with reading some porny fanfic.... or go kill off stuff in World of Warcraft. :-P

Yeah, I know. First year you are unemployed the rules you need to follow to get support are pretty simple, straight forward. But once you start to work extra hours, you get less support (not a full year). And once those days are done, you end up in phase two... That I described above. It pretty much sucks donkey balls.

They pretty much give me the choice of either you get support, and work for peanuts. I have to work full time, but support ain't full time pay, if I make sense... even if it would be more then I make now. But on the other hand, I know earn pay for the hours I work, you know? :-P

First year you are unemployed, they do actually make sense. Perfect sense, even. But if your unemployed longer then a year.... Yeah. They stop making sense all together. And these are new rules to. The old rules, that I had to follow last time I was unemployed for two years, they made sense after one year as well. But not any longer since we got a new government.

it doesnt make sense...you need to stop this hours you work to get a trainee job for get support. ? did I get it than?

on the trainnee position I would guess it is more difficult to get a fulltime position. most probably the fulltime position feels closer to you after working hours, right?

To messy to make sense in my head. haha.

hope everythin will be sorted out eventually. how many hours do you get normally in a month? very different or?

idag har det ösregnat. jag blev dyblöt. haha. puss.

Well, almost. I hardly get it myself. :-P Lets just say it is stupid. And today I got new info that made me even more confused. :-P

I do try to sort it out and get more hours at the libraries here. At the moment I work between 8-15 hours a week. Not even close to full time, but more then I could have dreamed off when I got my masters in my hand those years ago.

Här snöar det som attans, så man kan säga att den svenska vintern har kommit. :-P Skulle nog föredra värme och regn, faktiskt. ;-)

I really think all the stuff you have to do to get recognition and assistance from the unemployment office is outlandish. you have so many skills and are an asset to the community: other libraries recognize that, why can't they?

It is nothing strange for me that you have to jump through some loops to get support, but these last years since we changed our government, those loops have turned more and more insane. :-/

I actually prefer it if the other librarians see it, since that means they talk well of me, making networking easier for me, and hopefully result on more jobs. ;-) But your right. Sometimes it does feel a bit hopeless. If you don't work 100%/40hours a week, it feels like people are judging you, you know? :-P I hope I'll come out on top getting a great job one day though. :-)

yeah but it shouldn't even be an either/or situation. it should be that BOTH libaries and the unemployment office realize what a wonderful and skilled worker you are.
