This is KSena

Usually a friendly sort. Be nice to me, and I am nice to you. Here I ramble on about me, life, work and fandoms. I am a fan of Robin of Sherwood, Xena: Warrior Princess, Buffy: the Vampire Slayer, Pirates of the Caribbean, Tokio Hotel and Sons of Anarchy. I don't apologize for anything I write here. This is my mind. And you entered it. Welcome.

OK. First off, I have alot of online friends that are from the US. And I love you all.

But...

With that said, americans are fucking insane! As a people. How the hell could you let Bush sit on his throne??? Now how wants to build military bases in EUROPE! And let me tell you, he is not popular here.

[livejournal.com profile] misswitch pointed me the way to some really interesting articles on the matter in her post right here. Seriously... In her post there, I found a link to a very interesting blogg post on another bloggsite with some very interesting insights on the subject. You can read it here. And the article she is discussing you can see here.

Read it. And then put Bush where he belongs. In a mental institution.

Edit: Fixed all the things I misspelled.
Oddly, it was the "grassroots" that got Bush in office by sheer numbers of voting (if he didn't have truly enough to win, he at least got enough that it was easy to fudge). There are many people in this country who make low salaries who, for some reason, support the Republican Party when it is no longer in their best economic interest to do so (once upon a time, it WAS the fiscally conservative party). I think their thinking is "Dad/Mom voted Republican, we've always voted Republican" without thinking about WHY they used to vote Republican.

Alot of people think like that here to. "My family votes for this and have always voted for this so I will to." Thinking for oneself doesn't seem to be something people like. :-P
