Blargh. Been sick for two days. Meh. And I mean, throwing-up-in-a-bucket-sick. :-( Yesterday, when it was the worst, I didn't have any energy at all. I was just curled up in our sofa, sleeping and/or watching movies, all day. I am feeling a little better today, but not by much. At least now I have energy enough to sit by the computer. :-P

Might as well post all the meme's I have laying around.

I got it from beanbeans, and these are the icons she choose, and why I use them:


This one was made brennadouglasmw a member of a Revolutionary Girl Utena community. :-) The story in that anime and manga is about a tomboy, Utena Tenjou, who ends up in a very twisted school where there are alot of weird duels, where the winner wins... a maiden with a magical sword in her bossom... Utena wins... and falls for said maiden, without knowing. All the men and women who duels each other wears a ring with a rose on it. At one point there is a very tainted story where the rings are not white silver, but turns black... Like the one on the icon... I like the look of it, a bit intimidating and dangours, at the same time beautiful. :-)


Ah. This one I remember uploading when I had a really, really shitty day... during my time of unemployment when I felt more or less depressed at all times. :-P It is made by bases_by_maggie, and I only use it when I feel really, really shitty... or bad... or what have you. :-P


Ah... My dream-library... :-) It is the library from the Disney movie Beauty and the Beast, that Beast gives Beauty while she stays at his castle. I am a librarian. I have dreams. I want a library like that. One day... I hope... It was made by quiddity_.


Mickey Mouse. Talk about super-star! :-D I have a huge, HUGE soft spot for Disney characters. And although Uncle Scrooge is my favorite by far (especially written and drawn by the artist Don Rosa...), I love all the Disney characters, Donald Duck, Huey, Louie, Duey, Beatle Boys, Grandma Duck.... I could go on. :-) This one also made by quiddity_.


My Material Girl! :-D I usually use her when I find something amusing. :-) She is also from Revolutionary Girl Utena. An air-head bad guy/girl, who dislikes Utena our heroine, like woo fearing she'll take away her popularity at school... Silliness I tell ya'! She is fun, but can be a bit to much. School princess she is, getting what she wants when she wants it. Until Utena gets there... And Utena don't even want to be popular! Oh, the woe's... :-P This one was made by tigtastic.


bases_by_maggie again! I like her icons. This one I just thought was so, so gorgous I had to upload it. And since I started playing my evil vampiress Rose Valentine in the local vampire LARP I have developed a thing for roses. ;-)


Ah... A tauren girl. This is what the play-able race taurens look like in the World of Warcraft game. Yeah, the nerdy game that everybody plays these days. This particular drawing was done by Jason Chan. He has done some gorgous studies of all the play-able races in the game, not to mention all the other gorgeous art on his site. He is really a true artist. I highly recommend anyone to check his stuff out. The icon itself was done from Chan's art by iconzicons. Then why the tauren girl? Well... One of my favorite characters that I play is... a tauren girl. ;-D

Feeling sick is never fun. :-P It does take a bit, but I usually get by it. For some reason I get sick like this at least once a year. :-P

1, Wherever I turn in the Buffy-fandom on LJ, there is either a mentioning of you, or you have posted something. :-) You are a big part of the fandom here, and the strength to keep being such a big part that I admire. :-)

2, Your ability to write not only long stories... But damn long stories and still not give up your love for the characters, or your readers... That I also love about you.

3, Everytime I read your journal there is such a love for your family shining through. That is quite amazing. Yes, you can be angry with them, or what have you. But in between, the love is still there. That shows you are a strong women, and a very loving one. I love that to. :-)

Eek! I was supposed to tell you about the icons. Let me think.

I think the Angel/Darla sex one is just very sexy. Darla's my favourite Buffyverse female character and she and Angel are just so good together.

The ensemble one is nice just because it shows all the cast in my favourite season of BtVS, season 5.

The death wish Spike one is a pair with a death wish Wesley one. I find them very useful when writing Age of Unreason.

The First Slayer is primeval and scary and I think it's a cool screen cap.

The b&w Angelus is just gorgeous. Even the daft long hair looks good in b&w.

The donkey one is just a play on words that I find amusing (ass is another word for donkey). Also, someone very kindly made it for me.

The Fanged Four one, I adore because those are my four favourite characters from the 'verse.

Three things I love about you:

1, You lady, sure stands up for who are! There is just no stepping on who you are and what you want. I heard about the shit you got from your mom so long, and still you stood up for who you are. That I admire. :-)

2, You see more in people then whats outside. A rare gift. And very impressive. I admire that to. And the ability to stick to it, even when things might get ugly.

3, Your fingers. I love your fingers. They make things hard for your, what with your disablity, still... You manage to do all these gorgous things with them. I have no idea how. Must be magic in those fingers. :-)

No, being sick is no fun at all... I know... have been for the last two weeks... not "throwing-up-in-a-bucket-sick" but still...

Juming owl: Qute, isn't it? It sort of remind me of the Hedwig-owl I had on my overall... and it's so me on a mischievous day... :) The only one of my icons I didn't so myself... Check my Iconlist for credit...

Working girl: Did that one to celebrate my first job... I think that is one of the only pic Arwen does something worky... In a way that I do anyways....

Happy: Not completly satisfied with that one. Made it myself, but pics of Arwen smiling is rare...

Dream a little...: Well... dreaming is a part of my theme and I like that pic... so I did that one and I am pretty pleased with it... It captures my mood very well on many days I think...

You'r leaving: Yeah I think I did that one this summer and it captures the darkest of moods and sorrow... You must have an icon like that for unhappy events.

And then my main icon: I made that one to go with my theme in my journal... basicly... I don't think it turned out to bad...

Vampires rock! So that is all of the good. :-D (I have a huge soft spot for vampires...) I do feel better now though, so on saturday, time for work... Sadly. ;-D

So... I don't know you that well (yet...), but here are the three things that I love about you...

1, Your openness. We are a bit alike there. Allowing all pairings to live freely, even if it is not your own. You are open to everyones views. That is a very good thing. And a strong thing to.

2, Your muse. :-D Man. Just saying. MAN! You follow her, and let her be a part of you in the most beautiful way. And at the same time as you let your fans voice how they think things should move, you hold on to your own vision. Or at least that is how it seems to me. :-) That requires strength and love for the characters you write as well.

3, Your friendliness. I was new in the fandom, poking around carefully... And you welcomed me with open arms, showing me the fun among other pirate-fans, even showed me that even the strangest pairings can have beauty to. Continue be that friendly person, eh? Maybe more new people might dare poke around the pirates then. ;-)
