This is KSena

Usually a friendly sort. Be nice to me, and I am nice to you. Here I ramble on about me, life, work and fandoms. I am a fan of Robin of Sherwood, Xena: Warrior Princess, Buffy: the Vampire Slayer, Pirates of the Caribbean, Tokio Hotel and Sons of Anarchy. I don't apologize for anything I write here. This is my mind. And you entered it. Welcome.

Well now... That fit very well... :-) *is a people-person*

You Prioritize People

When making a big decision, you put others first - both those you know and those you don't know.

You believe that every life is important. You aren't going to do something to advance some if it harms others.

When it comes to what's right, every person counts. You firmly believe in treating others how you'd like to be treated.

And while being self-centered may work out in the short run, it's not good for anyone long term - including the selfish person.

Those who don't know you well may be jealous of your kind and compassionate heart. It's not easy for people to be as giving as you are.

And while some people may not understand why you're so altruistic, they certainly don't mind being the recipients of your generosity.

This entry is crossposted between LJ and DW. Comment where you are comfortable.
Had three days off now... All weekend. Friday, Saturday and Sunday. BLISS, people! I think I needed that. :-) Now I am all excited about working next week. And I got A LOT nicer hours next week to. :-)

Oh, and I talked to that girl before the LARP Saturday to... And... I think I got through to her. I hope I did at any rate. We at least agreed on no LARP-talking at work. And I think she'll stick to it. She got a lot of excuses for... other things, but hey. *shrug* At least her saying no to work and stuff won't make me look bad. More the opposite, since I'll have to take her hours. :-)

So yes. There was LARP this Saturday. And it was SO much fun!

Unfortunately, before the we could even start, it was the yearly annual meeting for the LARP Club. :-/ NOT fun. I have mentioned there is A LOT off younger members in the club, yeah? Well, that is even more evident when ti comes to things like this. Who to be in the board? Who to take care of the clubs money? Who to take responsibility? Shit like that. I was in the board for 6(!) years, and hubby was for two (and he has been involved in quite a few clubs at the student union as have I, so we know how it should work in clubs like this...). I ran straight into that dreaded wall during that last year, so none off us will take a position in that board again. Of course, a lot of people during the meeting suggested us for various positions, but we declined all off them. Of course, since plenty of those in the board are quite young, it is totally cool if they ask stuff, and we do give suggestions (not often, but it happens), so we still care about the club. But we feel like we've done our duty towards it, and just want to enjoy the game as it were. Talked a bit to the newly elected chairman of the board (sounds so fancy in english), who had the same poistion last year. Gave some constructive criticism (he actually asked for that during the meeting... good call...), and some suggestions and answered questions. All cool. :-) If all five of them young people can work together, I think things will go really well during 2012 as well...

The LARP itself was a BLAST! X-D As always, so that is no surprise there, is it? *grin* I got to cuddle up with my friend A who plays my character Frida's master/owner which is always fun... She is just 19 and quite gorgeous... ;-) The two deadly sins Gluttony and Greed decided to come make a visit among the vampires... and there were gladiatory games where vampires fought each other for the glory and honor of the Prince of the city and... for a price, of course. ;-) Was a lot of fun, to be sure! And gladly Fridas master/owner is no longer possesed with an malevolent ghost of a kid.... At least now Frida won't have to listen to Sponge-Bob Squarepants 24 hours a day.... Evil I tell you. X-D And her huge dogs are on demand. More and more vampires wants to buy them from her. She'll have to make a list by now... All the dogs in the current litter are now sold. All 18 of them. X-D Except for three that she'll keep her self. Progress, progress. :-) And she plots with another servant to start infiltrate the gangs of the city... *wicked grin*

A fun discussion started during the OOC-break in the middle of the night though. X-D

I sat and talked to J and P... Two young men who has both played lovers to my LARP-characters in the past. Now, both of these boys have just as athletic and well trained bodies as... oh... Tom K and Georg L maybe...? ;-) And they are both between 20-25 years old. J is in the swedish airforce and was stationed at Sicily where the swedish forces where working with, among others, the french and the american military forces, so yeah... he has worked with the SEAL and gotten there training-program, that he seems to enjoy... The man is nuts. And P? Well... He is into martial arts. And I think he has done it since he was a kid. Just got home from studying martial arts for a year at a school in China, no less... You could say both boys look DAMN good. And they are really sweet and funny friends of mine. They are awesome, them boys.

So I told them how crazy it was that me, who is 34 years old, over-weight and not exactly a good looking old woman... has been playing love-stories with both these boys... at which point both of them laughed at me and said that not many woman at my age can complain about having two too good-looking/handsome past lovers! X-D Pointing out, it was J who said that, and man... I laughed my ass off... The young man has a point!

I really do love my LARP-friends sometimes. ;-) Always makes me smile, they do. :-)

And here is that little quiz thing that makes it's rounds:

Your Soul's Spice is Cinnamon

You think life is pretty great. You do your best to ignore or deal with the small stuff.

You love so many things in this world, and you embrace your passions. You are a warm and happy person.

You act on your instincts and do what feels right. At the end of the day, it's important that you're satisfied.

You are easy going and humorous. You especially have a sense of humor about yourself.

I am such a fierce warrior I don't know what to do with myself... KSena the WarriorLibrarian! *laughs ass off*

ANYWAY!

Talking about libraries and work... THINGS ARE GOING REALLY FUCKING FINE RIGHT NOW, DUDES!!! o.O I just got offered a lil bit more permanent a job today. At the big city library... WHAT?!?!?! I've always been under the impression it was hard to get a job there, but look at me now, eh? I am only hired by the hour, but I work A LOT at the mo. o.O And come December I'll work even more. Instead of being hired by the hour, I'll work a constant 20 hours a week... and come January, I'll work a constant 30 hours a week. This is good, people. Really, really good. *nods* I like it there. DEFINITLY more stressful then working at the smaller libraries around town, but still... a lot of fun. :-) (Even with creepy people showing up at times...) I really hope this is Karma coming around and giving something back...

So that is beyond awesome!

And yesterday I actually didn't work (shocking, I know) and since [livejournal.com profile] spicehobbits work is kinda kicking her in the ass at the mo, we hung out yesterday talking and going out to eat and just... be. :-) Like always. (Discussing fanfiction and fandoms in a big restaurant... = WIN!) She is so cute. :-D And made a very valid point. She is a fan of BBC's Sherlock. And currently waits for Season Two... Season One consisted of three episodes. And was aired beginning of 2011 here in Sweden (correct me if I am wrong, [livejournal.com profile] spicehobbit). The next season, also consisting of only three episodes will not air until end of 2012...

And we are complaining with them TH boys... *shakes head* We shouldn't.

Right, so... [livejournal.com profile] thilia posted a TON of audio memes the other day, and I figured I'd do some of them to. And since I am in a bookish mood right now, I'll do the big one first. The book-meme. Hang on to your hats! The goth librarian is about to talk books... :-P

Lil Witch on a broom...
So far this weekend has been bliss... I haven't done anything at all, almost. Well, I have. I have ironed almost all the clothes that needed ironing. So that MOUNTAIN is almost gone! Yay! I'll do the last of it tomorrow.

Today when I did the ironing I watched a really intresting movie, that I have to recommend to you. I got it from [livejournal.com profile] spicehobbit for Christmas, and just haven't got around to watching it. She gave it to me since one of my favorite actors are in it, Ray Winstone. A different take on Sweeney Todd. :-) And it was good. REALLY good. Winstone can be reeaally creepy when he wants to. Usually he plays characters that are very load and violent. Of course, Todd is violent but this Todd, Winstone's portrayal off him, was... very creepy. Small small words and actions, not at all like other characters he has played, showed a Todd that was very very insane, but lived a respectable life on the outside. The story was a bit different that the Tim Burton version to, and that was quite refreshing. Give the character a new reason for his insanity and the whole thing takes on a new level. Also, in this story Todd and Lovett had feelings for each other, something I enjoyed to. If you haven't seen this movie, I highly recommend it!

Talking about movies, me and [livejournal.com profile] peting73 made a little test based on the movie The Golden Compass and the magic being the daemons in said movie. Again, if you haven't seen The Golden Compass, I HIGHLY suggest you do!

Really. :-) I stumbled upon the MSN start-site today, and what do I find? MSN had exclusive access to record Michael Jacksons concert in the Lia Manouliu Stadium in Bukarest, Romania... And even if it wasn't exclusive, they have posted near the whole concert on there site!!! OK, so Michael Jackson isn't what he once was, that is true. But damn, that man could write music once! So, here I am enjoying some really good music... I mean, there isn't much that can beat Thriller, Smooth Criminal, Man in the Mirror, Billie Jean, Black or White (Yeah, I like that one to...). All hits. All really, really nice music. And damn, he can dance to! I am amazed the other dancers can keep up...

Michael Jackson on MSN

I do recommend you check that one out. :-)

Not much been going on here. Had a three days off from work wednesdays, thursday and friday. Went to Gothenburg wednesday just... just because. :-) Didn't have much of a goal. More then finding a few books that has gone out of print. Succeeded finding one of two. Go me! :-) Thursday and friday I didn't do much at all. Only played WoW.

Talking of World of Warcraft... After much consideration I finally decided to leave the guild I am in with my tauren girl Skyfire. Not a big deal, you think perhaps. Well, it was for me. I have been in that guild for 2 years. Near since I started playing this game. But this last year every time I logged in to Skyfire I was meet with drama, drama, drama, drama.... And to me, that is not fun. :-( I have a level 70 character I couldn't play since I was so nervous about the drama every time I logged in to her. That ain't good. I pay to play this game, and I wanna have fun. Drama ain't fun. As a long standing member of the guild, I was of course asked to stay, but that won't happen. I am thinking about joining a guild that Peting and his work-mates is in instead. Most of the people in that guild is around there 30s. Sounds like a much better idea. :-)

Lets end this with a meme or two. ;-)

Found this meme at [livejournal.com profile] faeriquene. A bit fun. :-)
