This is KSena

Usually a friendly sort. Be nice to me, and I am nice to you. Here I ramble on about me, life, work and fandoms. I am a fan of Robin of Sherwood, Xena: Warrior Princess, Buffy: the Vampire Slayer, Pirates of the Caribbean, Tokio Hotel and Sons of Anarchy. I don't apologize for anything I write here. This is my mind. And you entered it. Welcome.

Day been very good. I got a shitload of stuff done at work today. I feel quite accomplished over this fact. :-) Yesterday I was supposed to do a ton of stuff to, but since both me and my boss / colleague had a shitty day, that didn't work out so well... (Seriously, teachers.... I know it is a school-library and yes, we are here to be a support to you and yes, the library is here for your benefit, but when both of us are stressed the hell out, do you think it is a good idea to ask for a ton of books to be delivered as soon as possible? No? Didn't think so either...) Today though, things worked out just the way it should.
Except for one part. The bus. :-P I go by bus to the library to work each day, since going by bike riding would be suicidal. To much ice. Well, yesterday the bus was 30 mins late.... 30 fucking mins!!! o.O

.....

So this morning, I figured hey... It can't happen two days in a row, right? WRONG! The bus was, again 30mins late! I... It... There are no words. At least not now. I did have plenty words to say this morning though when I called the bus company giving a piece of my mind. I was late to work TWICE! Two days in a row! Because the buses didn't go as promised! Geez... *shakes head*

ANYWAY! I got a blogging price... Or whatever to call it. :-) From Ugglefot! Apparently she think smy LJ/Blogg has just that little bit of extra. :-D THANK YOU DARLING!

So this is apparently what to do when getting this award. Filling in nr 1, 2 and 3 with something that means something to you, or something you find interesting. Then pass the award on to five others that is to do the same thing. :-D

Right on!

1. Art.
Ehr... It is what you do with a brush and paint right? Seriously though, even though I can't make art of any kind to save my life, I must admit I enjoy watching art made by others. My collection of art-sites in my bookmarks are, to put it mildly, quite long. There is just something special sitting watching what another person can do with pens, pencils, paints or computers. The awesomeness of the internet is that some artists even go all out and do art 'live' for an audience online. :-D (I am looking at you, [livejournal.com profile] croaky!) It is really amazing to see how an artist work.
So even if I don't seem very artistic, I do really like to look at nice art. Only art I just don't get is modern art. I just... don't. But when we go back in history, I am so there. An hey, erotic art, oh yes! Not a new phenomenon, if you thought that. Oh no. It has probably existed as long as man has made art. And then there is fanart, of course. Can't leave that out. I enjoy that as much as I enjoy so called fine art. *nods*

2. Literature
I am a librarian, come on... *grin* Now even working my profession, so things will probably get even worse as time progresses. ;-) My bookshelf is, literary, overflowing with books. I read everything. Except the classics that "you are supposed to read..." I just run the hell away from you if you give me a book that is supposed to be the thing that "everyone reads" and is supposed to be "high literature". Fuck that. I read what I want, when I want and I ENJOY what I want, no matter if you think it is even worthy of being called literature (and that includes fanfic, thank you!). And you know what? I encourage kids in the library to do the same thing! So there! (Yes, even those that read Twilight... or read books that are closely related to Harlequin-novels). That's what pisses me off really badly sometimes. That you are looked down upon when you don't read the "right books". I guess it has to do with the fact I was looked down upon by my teachers in school for reading fantasy books and novels... something that happened again when I studied Literature Science. Want a librarian that encourages people to read whatever they enjoy? And will help you find it to? You come to me.

3. Internet
I am addicted. I am so not joking. I go a bit crazy if I can't access the Internet once a day. :-P It is a great way to keep in touch with real life friends, and get so many more friends all over the world. I am ever so grateful for that. There isn't much else to say about it. The Internet just... IS. :-)

I give the award to:

1. My beloved cousin Ella-Bella blogging from the Maldives here: Reason to be
2. Dear Ugglefot gets it right back, since she is made off awesome: Ugglefot
3. [livejournal.com profile] ursulav because she is so damn amusing and an amazing artist!
4. [livejournal.com profile] croaky since yes, she to is an amazing artist and a wonderful human being!
5. [livejournal.com profile] das_mervin since she has made the most serious sporking / re-cap / thrashing to shreds of a book I have ever seen. Her Twilight sporkings alone... (To read them, go to her sporking comm here: [livejournal.com profile] das_sporking)

And now that meme:

Previous days... )

2. Talk about your piercings or tattoos, if you have any.

I have both piercings and tattoos and I do plan on making more! :-D So tattoos first, eh? In the order I made them. I have a wolf on my left shoulder, for my dual nature. I am very much a loner, but I also crave company at times. :-) On my right upper arm is a tribal bracelet of sorts in a viking style, for my strength and that I stand steady in the history of my country. Cutter from Elfquest on my right lower leg, since that graphic novel really effected me once and still does, he reminds me of never giving up and never be afraid of my imagination. On my other lower leg is a tattoo of two of Xenas swords and her chakram. For my love of the TV-show, of course, but also it is a show when I finally admitted that there is beauty everywhere, in both men and women. On my left shoulder blade is a tattoo of Uncle Scrooge McDuck when he was a young gold digger, tough as nails. A memory of my childhood and a good luck charm. :-)
I also have a ton of piercings. 5 in my left ear and three in my other. One in my tongue and one in my lip, to the left corner.
I have plans for at least two more tattoos (when I can afford them) and plenty more ear-piercings. We'll see where it ends. ;-)

28 more days... )

Geez, this turned wordy. Sorry about that!

Frankensteinl
Uhu... Corey Haim has died. :-/ Man, did I have a crush on him when I was a kid. That is pretty sad, ain't it? A re-watch of Lost Boys is clearly in order.

Been a good girl today, though. First I visited my previous trainee work, the smaller library, and talked a bit with my ex-boss about working there. As they have promised me that I'll have work there next month. Also, she gave me a few hours when she'll be out of town, so I'll take care of the library during those hours. Good, good... Things are looking brighter. :-)

Then I went home and cleaned out our pantry.

.......

That was NASTY, people! I should have done that ages ago! >.< Anyway, it is done now, and I have even organized it a bit. :-P

Yesterday the new board of the LARP-sociaty had its first meeting. Yeah, yeah... I am the constant secretary in there. :-P I have survived five years, I should survive a sixth as well, I think. :-) We made some plans to improve the LARP and also to make sure not one or two people do all the work (as has been the case lately) and also whine a bit about other LARPers.... Hey, everyone gossips, right? Right. X-D I had also made a mudcake that everyone devoured. No really. They devoured it. *laugh* I would say it was approved. ;-)

Both my piercings are healing perfectly, if you wondered! :-D Even the troublesome one in my ear, has giving up and is now healing perfectly as well. Woot!

Also, [livejournal.com profile] kaijn posted a great review of the Tokio Hotel concert in his blogg. You gotta go read it! Shoo! Go! Now! I agree with so much what he says in there. :-) Both the good and the bad.
Young boys, beer and good laughs...

Alright. I'll go watch True Blood in a sec. :-) That show is the shit, no really.

Black cat is love

Gah, nervous!

Been working for 3 ½ hours today. :-) Piece of cake. I only had to kick out three boys from the library that just wouldn't behave (and then they started to swear at me, wtf??). Apart from that though, it worked great. Quite a few of the kids were happy to see me back. And my ex-boss told me she needed more of my cards, since she has started to hand them out... o.O So I gave her a bunch more. :-) Hopefully that will amount to something. Seems I got myself a manager, in a manner of speaking. X-D

At home though, I have been taking it mostly easy. My application for [livejournal.com profile] cityofdesai was accepted, so now the good Captain Will Turner ([livejournal.com profile] dutchmancpt) sails again... ;-) So much fun to get into the rpg swing of things again. :-) Apparently Captain Jack Harkness of Torchwood fame has already taken an interest in the cursed Captain... However will it end, I wonder? *laughs*

Also been at the piercing place. She said my ear looks way, way better and that I should leave it mostly alone for now. Just washing it once a day instead of two-three times. Yay! My lip is fully healed, and I have now a ring in it instead. Look fucking awesome, let me tell you!

And tomorrow.... There will be friends... and concert... Have I mentioned I haven't been to a concert in 20 years?!?!?! Yes, I am freaking out a little... And is just... slightly nervous. :-P But I do so very much look forward to it. :-D I am sure them goth-boys will rock that stage like there is no tomorrow! :-D

Blond gothgirl....
My ear-piercing is healing. The infection is not fully gone yet, but it is slowly going away. Slowly. It is the not the first infected piercing I have had. When I pierced my left nipple I got an infection there to. So I went to the piercer and asked what to do with it. He told me to drench it in common salt solution 30 min twice a day. I did just that with the help off an egg-cup. I'll leave it to your own imagination there how I managed... *smirk* Anyway, the salt pulls out the infection from the wound, and after that it healed perfectly. I am doing the same thing with my ear now. :-) This time, I can't exactly use an egg-cup. Instead I use small wads off cotton that I drench in common salt solution and then I put it on my ear, tilting my head so it won't fall off and then let it sit there while the water is dripping down my neck... X-D I think it is working wonders though. The ear isn't hurting as much anymore and the swelling has gone down alot. :-) I do continue to clean it off with medical alcohol and put antiseptic wound ointment on it still, so I think I'll be abel to save this piercing still. :-)

The lip-piercing isn't giving me any trouble at all. :-) Sure, it is still a bit sensitive an swollen, but the swelling has gone down considerably and the inside off my lip ain't that blue anymore. Looks just like a bruise half-faded. :-) I am not surprised it takes time for these piercings to heal though. I mean, I have had a person shove a piece of metal right through my lip... and ear... and it is still there. X-D That takes time to heal. ;-)

Anyway, lately I have had this song on my brain. No idea why... And then I found a really awesome music-vid for it! It doesn't exist an offical music-vid for it, but this one sure works just as good. And the guy playing the lead is really hot to. And got some really rocking tattoos as well! ;-) Just saying. Enjoy!

I kissed a boy... and I liked it! )

Spring soon?....
My lip-piercing is healing perfectly. I constantly have this tingling or tickling sensation in it, meaning it is healing. I have felt it before, both in tattoos and in piercings. Meaning I am cleaning it right and taking care off it as I should. Yay me! BUT! My new ear-piercing, who I have taken care off the exakt same way and got the same day... already has a small infection. :-/ I am so not amused. So, while I still use common salt solution on my lip-piercing (since it is working great on it), I have gone over to use medical alcohol (that you use to clean wounds with) and a wound-ointment that is antiseptic (that also is for wounds). It is really sensitive to the touch, and is hurting quite a bit. :-/ BUT I WILL NOT GIVE UP THIS TIME!!! It is the second time I try to pierce that area on my ear. Last time, I got a bad infection and had to take it out. I will not this time. I REFUSE TO! *grumble, grumble*

Since I am off work on Friday, I'll go down to the piercing-place and get some advice from the piercer. She should be able to give me some good ideas, I hope. :-P

Anyway, I work kinda short days this week, since all schools are closed for winter sports holiday. And since the small library is only a school library, it is closed this week. And the bigger library is both a school library and regular library, so they have less open hours. Meaning, all librarians are supposed to be in the same library, and less work for me. Me = shorter hours and Friday off. Nice. :-) Next week will be my last week though. Not so nice. :-/ I'll miss all them crazy librarians like... well, crazy. :-P
