This is KSena

Usually a friendly sort. Be nice to me, and I am nice to you. Here I ramble on about me, life, work and fandoms. I am a fan of Robin of Sherwood, Xena: Warrior Princess, Buffy: the Vampire Slayer, Pirates of the Caribbean, Tokio Hotel and Sons of Anarchy. I don't apologize for anything I write here. This is my mind. And you entered it. Welcome.

My lip-piercing is healing perfectly. I constantly have this tingling or tickling sensation in it, meaning it is healing. I have felt it before, both in tattoos and in piercings. Meaning I am cleaning it right and taking care off it as I should. Yay me! BUT! My new ear-piercing, who I have taken care off the exakt same way and got the same day... already has a small infection. :-/ I am so not amused. So, while I still use common salt solution on my lip-piercing (since it is working great on it), I have gone over to use medical alcohol (that you use to clean wounds with) and a wound-ointment that is antiseptic (that also is for wounds). It is really sensitive to the touch, and is hurting quite a bit. :-/ BUT I WILL NOT GIVE UP THIS TIME!!! It is the second time I try to pierce that area on my ear. Last time, I got a bad infection and had to take it out. I will not this time. I REFUSE TO! *grumble, grumble*

Since I am off work on Friday, I'll go down to the piercing-place and get some advice from the piercer. She should be able to give me some good ideas, I hope. :-P

Anyway, I work kinda short days this week, since all schools are closed for winter sports holiday. And since the small library is only a school library, it is closed this week. And the bigger library is both a school library and regular library, so they have less open hours. Meaning, all librarians are supposed to be in the same library, and less work for me. Me = shorter hours and Friday off. Nice. :-) Next week will be my last week though. Not so nice. :-/ I'll miss all them crazy librarians like... well, crazy. :-P

So do I. I am damn stubborn so I won't give up this time, dammit! *grumbles some more*

The lip-piercing isn't giving me any problems at all, so yeah... It is the damn ear-piercing that is. Just like last time, dammit!

Oh, I will be. :-) When I pierced my left nipple, I got an infection there to. :-P I managed to clear that one perfectly fine with the help off common salt solution, medical alcohol and antiseptic ointment. It worked fine. It is just annoying, you know? :-) It is extra work. :-P But I am confident I'll fix this one to. :-)

I think it's something to do with the ear, not necessarily anything you're doing/not doing. Every single time I get my ears pierced, they get infected. Every time. Without fail. Though try not to put pressure on it of any kind, ie: keep you're hair up and away and try not to sleep on it (hard, I know). Give it lots and lots of air.

Then it should have something to do with nipples to... *laugh* I had an infection when I got my left nipple pierced as well. I did the same thing then, common salt solution, medical alcohol and antiseptic ointment and after a few days, the infection healed and then the piercing healed. Just damn annoying and extra work. :-P

And yes. Hair will be kept up until this is healed. Gladly, the wheather is now getting warmer, so now I don't need a hat when going out anymore. More air for the ear! *grin*
