Health and Game of Thrones (Spoilers under spoiler-tags! Be careful!)

WTF, Game of Thrones? Seriously? UGH.

First though, health. I'm getting a cold. Again. And it has made it's home in my throat. Again. *grump* I did stupid this weekend digging around among my medieval clothing and stuff, and to say my asthma went high wire then would be an understatements. Stupid. So to say my breathing has been fucked up these last couple of days would be an understatement. :-(

Visited my brother Sunday which is always awesome. :-)

And today I had Dogge Doggelito coming to the school to have lectures for the 15 and 16 year old kids. Man, he was AWESOME! And such a nice guy all around. :-D Worked ten hours though and with the above mentioned health issue, I am now EXHAUSTED!

But I did have energy for Game of Thrones. And I liked most of it. I did. I especially liked Theon and Sansa, although seeing Theon leaving was... sad. :-/ I liked him with Sansa, but I guess the guilt was to much for him poor guy. I don't think his sister will be happy to see him back though...

And Ramsey Bolton, wtf with that character!?!?! Anyone with even the littlest bit triggers need to just change the channel as soon as he shows up. For serious. And now he'll be even more dangerous. Especially since he disposed of his newborn brother and his father. Dude. Cold.

No sign of Daenerys yet, but on the other hand we got some sign of life from Bran Stark, which was nice. And we got a flash back from Eddards childhood. Really sweet! (Oh, Hodor is apparently a mystery to! Interesting!) And hey, Max von Sydow played the three eyed raven! MAX FUCKING VON SYDOW! I love that old man! He is SUCH a great actor and has SUCH a presence even at the age of 87 years old. Dude. He'll probably die in front of the camera. He is AMAZING! I love him.

Sorry about the fangirling there...

Then there's Thyrion who probably have the biggest freaking balls of them all. He's a dwarf and he goes to release two dragons that probably just sees him as food... Only they don't, and man, that scene was AMAZING!

But what really bugged the hell out of me was... Jon Snow. I never really liked Jon. He was to good. To noble. To nice. Only time's I could stand him was with his friend Sam. So I was thinking good riddance with him when he was stabbed.

And now the big shocker in the end is that the red woman brought him back (despite having lost her self-confidence and is doubting in her faith).

So now Jon fucking Snow is back.

I'm not happy about that. At all. :-/

Mellisandre just fixed his body - but all the Stark kids are wargs. Jon himself was inside Snow. Handy to have your own direwolf nearby when the knives strike.

I couldn't see having Jon die - there's no one else who really knows what's going on. Though I have to admit, I suspect the walkers will take over the world at this stage of the game!

I don't think anyone really knows what's going on, to be honest. *lol* Maybe their little part, but all? Nah... :-) Maybe Thyrion? Almost? He and Varys really are to smart for their own good. *lol*

I'm kinda sad that Theon left Sansa because I figured they'd keep them together longer so he could try to make amends to the family by helping her out. It's weird that they're sending him back to the Iron Islands (cause it's not what they did in the books. Though, same time, Sansa didn't get married off to Ramsey in the books either, so, eh).

I love that Tyrion let the dragons go, and especially that the second one (no idea which was which, it was too dark to tell colours for me) was all 'sup dude, my turn' after he uncollared the first. Dragon baaaaaaaabies. <3 Let those giant lizard kitties run free!

I 150,000% knew that they weren't going to kill Jon. In the books, after he gets all stabbed up he 'saw no more'. This is a book series that unapologetically sends people's heads spiraling through the air and slices beloved mother's throats 'on camera'. They aren't going to flower up a death with something as wishy washy as 'and then he saw no more' and have people not assume that person is going to end up alive as fuck. If he'd beed straight dead, they'd have had a loving description of his bladder and bowels spilling across the snow and freezing him to the ground in their stanky embrace.

I'm pleased he's back, though. They spent too much time on the Wall with Jon for him not to be important. If they didn't care about him and still wanted the Wall (because it is important to the story), they could have just kept Benjen around. They HAD someone at the Wall, so what makes Jon s important? (other than THEORIES)

I think one of my fave bits of the episode was when Davos went to talk to the Red Woman and she's sitting there in front of the fire all wrapped in furs because she's COLD. She's had the Light of R'hllor in her, keeping her warm for so long, and now she's doubting her faith and she's COLD for the first time in YEARS. That was a great touch.

I love them dragons to! :-D When seeing the last episode of the season I was sitting up in my couch fistbumping fuck yeah, to the point of hubby telling me to shut up or I'd wake the kid. X-D

It's interesting to see the differences between books and show. I haven't read the books, and the way my stressful life is, chance are high that I won't. But correct me if I'm wrong, we're past the books now? Right?

I still don't like Jon Snow very much, although he has turned more tolerable since Sansa joined up with him. At least to me. Maybe it's the brother sister thing, I don't know?

They do spend a lot of time with various characters and then just blow them up. Margery for one. Her death I did not see coming. Until she actually pointed it out herself. And I saw the rows of green fire. I'll miss her. She was good at The Game, to be honest.

The Red Woman is a bit of a mystery to me still. I wonder what she'll do now when Jon sent her away after Ser Davos (love that guy) told her about Shireen?

Still a lot of weirdness to come in the future, I suppose... I'm crosing my fingers for some hot heavy flirting or porn with Daenerys and Yara Greyjoy, because HOLY FUCK THE EYEFUCKING! *cough* Be still my femme-slash loving heart.

Lot of women in power end of season six. Looking forward to see what that will take us. :-)

Most certainly does. :-) And behind on everything. Clearly. :-P

Keep a very close eye on that asthma. It's a sneaky bugger. Likes to surprise you when you're least expecting it.

[identity profile] kseenaa.livejournal.com 2016-07-04 09:22 am (UTC)(link)
It comes and goes, apparently. It could be days sometimes weeks and I don't need any meds. And then suddenly I need lots of meds during the days for a couple of days. It's a bit weird. *shrug*

Well, the big spoiler for this episode had to happen because otherwise, a huge chunk of the narrative so far was nothing but filler.

Loved Tyrion with the Dragons. I could do with less Bolton. (The Theon torture porn of several seasons ago almost turned me off the series all together.)

I hope that Bran proves to be more useful to the story than just being the framing device for getting in flashbacks that will explain things.

The big question for me now are, will we get Lady Stoneheart? Will we ever see adult Benjen again?

[identity profile] kseenaa.livejournal.com 2016-07-04 09:21 am (UTC)(link)
I did like the fact about Ramsay that was so unapologeticly evil. You know? You know what he was all about and he did not apologize for it. *shrug* Gladly though for everyone he has run into, he meet his grisly end by now.

And Thyrion, I'm just happy he is still alive and have found his purpose in life. Supporting Daenerys. I think she needs an advisor like Thyrion. :-)

I have no idea who Lady Stoneheart is? Lady Mormont? Because that girl rocked! And Benjen did make an apperance! WOOO! Did not expect that! And I guess it'll be important in the future. :-)

I'm glad the lectures worked out well.

[identity profile] kseenaa.livejournal.com 2016-07-04 09:17 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah, I'd worked so long for it all to actually happen, so it was lovely to see that it actually DID work out the way I'd planned. :-)

[identity profile] orangerful.livejournal.com 2016-05-04 11:57 pm (UTC)(link)
Was anyone really surprised that Jon Snow was suddenly alive? I knew that he wasn't gone just be the way they never answered the question. I had a feeling he would be back, though I guess we have to wonder if he is truly alive or undead or white walker or whatever. Honestly I only want him to be alive so that Sansa can show up and see him because nothing goes right for that girl.

And poor Theon. I really wanted him to stay just so Brienne could protect the two of them for awhile after so many seasons of abuse.

I'm done with Ramsey. His character could not be bumped off any sooner. And how could his Dad have been SO STUPID? Like, how did he not see that coming??

Honestly, NOT killing people is now more shocking on this show LOL.

I'm just excited for the moment that Varys punches Tyrion in the face because he suggests they do something ridiculous LOL. YOU KNOW IT WILL HAPPEN!

I'm worried about Jorah. :(((((((

This is a perfect comment to this show. X-D

At least we got rid of Ramsey. FINALLY! Although I did like how unapologetic evil he was. :-)

Theon and his sister Yara has ended up being new favorites of mine while I still cling to Thyrion. Which probably will end up with all of them dying with my luck. :-P

Varys is such a mystery to me after seeing the end of this season. Good? Evil? Or just grey and opportunistic? Time will tell, I suppose.

Brienne rocks. Hands down. IF she has to die, I hope she dies on the battlefield doing what she does best, tbqh.

Jon is just annoying to me. Although since reuniting with Sansa he has approved a little bit.

[identity profile] orangerful.livejournal.com 2016-07-04 03:02 pm (UTC)(link)
I'm wondering if it will now come down to Cersei or Brienne for Jamie. I felt like in those final moments, he might have finally realized his sister was gone and now a madwoman sat on the throne, just as dangerous as the mad king he killed before. Will he meet Brienne on the battlefield again and decide her side is better?

Varys really is a mystery, a master manipulator, but at least he has never pretended to be anything else **glares at Littlefinger**

[identity profile] kseenaa.livejournal.com 2016-07-04 09:06 pm (UTC)(link)
I love your theory. That look Jamie gave Cersei there at the end will prove to be interesting to explore next season. It was not a happy look. :-P Brienne would be so SO much better for him, tbqh. :-P

Littlefinger is just an asshole. Varys does what he does because to him at least he is TRYING to make things better, and when doing that you can't pick a side. At least that's partly how I see him. :-) I like him though. He is an interesting character for sure.

[identity profile] ruchirahni.livejournal.com 2016-05-06 09:59 pm (UTC)(link)
oh no feel better!!!

jon is the main character of the story! he is also our main plot line from the north. he had to come back!

[identity profile] kseenaa.livejournal.com 2016-07-04 09:12 am (UTC)(link)
I've never seen it as the show having ONE main character but plenty! Granted what with seeing the last of season 6, Jon has showed himself in the forefront a bit more. I still claim there's a billion main characters in this story. Well almost. Cersai, Aria, Jamie, Sansa, The Hound, Daenerys, Theon, Thyrion, Bran... I could go on. To me that haven't read the books, ALL of them are just as important to the story. *shrug* :-)

[identity profile] spikesjojo.livejournal.com 2016-07-05 02:17 am (UTC)(link)
Even more if you read the books - each chapter is from a different characters POV so there is no main character.

[identity profile] kseenaa.livejournal.com 2016-07-05 09:37 am (UTC)(link)
Oh really? I didn't know that! How interesting! I am getting flashbacks to Les Miserables from that... X-D
