I actually enjoy the place I work at right now. Believe it or not. Even if a friend of mine who is in training to become a bodyguard asked if he should come work for me instead...
It's located in the area in this city with the most refugees and refugee kids and it's... probably one of the most troubled schools in the city. But guess what? Even though shit happens ALL THE TIME and I work my ass off (believe it or not), I actually enjoy the place.
Mostly because the staff is GREAT! And come summer, I get to pack up the library and move it from the shitty place we're at now and move to the newly built school. And get a WHOLE NEW LIBRARY! Now if that don't make a girl excited, I don't know what will.
I also try to make good things for the kids at this school with a bit of different class-visits from me and also for the bigger kids I finally (FINALLY!) managed to get the artist Dogge Doggelito to come to the school! YES! *fistbump* He'll be GREAT there since he has grown up JUST like these kids basically.
I just hope I get to stay there. My predecessor and previous collaguege is just on a leave from work trying on another job until June. So he COULD come back, but I highly doubt it. His health wouldn't allow it, I don't think. He has a lot of health issues, and working at this school IS stressful, so his health ain't doing to good when working here. :-P
So in other words, I'm doing really good. Just stressing around like nobodies business. Alexandra and
peting73 is doing great to.
Peting got his diagnosis of diabetes not hugely long ago, but is doing fine and getting used to it as well. He is doing a bender with sugar when we have birthday parties or christmas, but other than that he is REALLY strict with his food. So he is doing great. Still sleeping long though *grump*, but doing good.
Alexandra is quite cross eyed, so we're struggling with that. Since she won't cooperate with the doctor. She is going hysterical as soon as anyone tries to examine her or make her do something. So that's not very funny. The doctor hasn't been able to do a proper examination, which means she'll most liekly have to be sedated next time we go there. *sigh* Anything to make sure her eyesight develops properly though.
I'm doing good to, health wise! My broken leg did heal up as it should, so it's doing great. Still struggling with my sugar-addiction, but working on it (ricecakes and tea has become my thing). I do have a longer and a shorter leg, however. Never given me issues before in my entire life, but now my hip on my longer leg has started to protest a little. So we'll see if it continues to do that or not. I might have to do something about it. But that is the ONLY THING! :-)
Life moves on as it should. Alexandra grows so fast it's crazy. She's turning 4 years this summer, can you believe it?
Also I've cleaned out all my inboxes and I feel damn accomplished.
