Zen KSena, not so zen... (LJ-changes...)

Alright. Most of you know I am pretty zen about any changes done to LJ, right? So far I haven't had any problems at all with the changes done so far.

But now... I do.

I mean, I am LJ to journal... to write and read and comment and such... to actually have an interaction with people, yeah?

I do have a Tumblr to, but that is just for looking at pictures, because there you just CAN'T interact with people. At all. I don't like the layout of Tumblr at all. Neither how it works...

But now? You can have people REBLOG your posts... just like on Tumblr. If you pay for it. And the reblogger apparently gets LJ tokens... from you. (WTF?)

Oh, and now, as you saw on my post below.... they will fuck up how you read your f-list.

Now, as I said. I've been pretty zen with most changes, some of them I even liked! (Comments and Scrapbook...)

But you DO NOT fuck around with my f-list! I spend all the little time I have on the computer on my f-list... I have tweaked how I read it so it fits me...

This is the first time I am actually pissed off at LJ. :-/

LJ is LJ and Tumblr is Tumblr.

Yeah. :-P Pretty much what I was thinking to. I am not ON that much on Tumblr because I don't feel quite comfortable to do anything there but reblog fun and or pretty pictures. :-P Not write journal stuff.

No, I don't think so. I don't think it has anything to do with how the privacy settings work. Only how you read your f-list. Which is pretty much the reason why I am upset about it.

hmm.. I broke the default layout system years ago by adding custom html, do you know if they're planning to override this?

OMG I am so confused! After eight years on LJ, I still don't understand how everything works and now this?! *weeps* Let's hope they hear the outraged cries and let this stuff be optional somehow. Like you said, I only use Tumblr to look at pretty pictures and it's perfectly fine for that, but LJ is home for the personal interaction. I don't want my home to be different! D: (Although, if it's only for paid users -- and many features are -- I won't have to worry because I'm too cheap to pay for LJ. :P)

I doubt it will be optional if they implant it. Or even paid only. If they do, it'll go live on the entire site.

And man, I haven't had any problems with the other changes they have done to the site, to be honest. Not at all. But htis? Reading my flist is what I do on LJ. All the time. I've personalized my LJ since I like how it looks to MY eyes when I read it. So why the hell do they have to this? I am NOT amused. :-/

I honestly don't know how people are re-posting LJ entries, but it's getting old on my Flist already. -_- I can only imagine what it will be like when everyone else figures out how to use it. Plus, I really love the privacy LJ offers. I feel like Tumblr is too open to anyone to find me. I'm happier under my nice, dark lurking rock!

Well, see... to make an LJ-post repostable... the poster have to PAY LJ-tokens for a button that ends up in the post... that you can press and then it is reposted. And the LJ-tokens the poster has paid with? Gets paid to those that reposts the post.

Confused yet? :-P

This. I agree so much. I'm pretty pissed at the changes they're doing. From what I've been reading all over my flist, I don't like it. AT ALL. Have you tried out the BETA version?

Oh, I haven't had any problems with the earlier changes they've done. A site need to be updated now and then. But changing the f-list is such a HUGE change to how the site works, it kinda pisses me off. This is LJ. Not Tumblr. :-/

See, I had no idea we did that even! *lol* But yeah, we are very aware of recycling and such here. True that. :-) At least we try, you know? *is cheered up*

Still annoyed at the changes done here at LJ though. :-P Since I spend SOOOO much time on my f-list, this really affects me, you know? :-/ I kinda liked most of the other changes, but this just bugs me.
