Friends and the New Scrapbook
Wohoo! :-D Meeting good friends for visits! And eating cake... I might have many faults and such, but when it comes to making cakes, cookies, muffins and sweets... I know I am good. DAMN good. *lol*
Anyway,
peting73's best friend Kiltfan and his wife has been here. :-D It was AWESOME to meet them again! Haven't meet them in a year or so, so that was great! I do really really like Kiltfan. His sense of humour is insane... and when you match him up with
peting73? Good lord... X-D Watch out if you are in ANY way sensitive! The jokes and sparring and... well, it goes down the insane road QUICK! X-D It is awesome to listen to! Add coffee and cake and things was awesome there for a few hours.
Now Kiltfans wife, well... I have never been to fond of her, to be honest. She has calmed down over the years to be sure! But she's always been a bit highstrung and had some... odd ideas and such... but, it is easier to hang out with her now for sure. :-) (Although it still annoys me that she is constantly on Facebook on her phone, even in the middle of conversation...)
They have two kids, two WONDERFUL kids! It was a bit late when they were here to visit, so sadly we didn't get to meet their kids this time. But I remember when they were expecting... Kiltfan's wife didn't dare to do ANYTHING while she was expecting. Nothing. Kiltfan had to do most of the housework, and take care of their other kid and she didn't dare leave the apartment alone and there were a ton of food she just didn't dare eat and just... Yeah. She worried about EVERYTHING.
Me? Since I found out I was pregnant I've take one day at a time. I eat and drink what I want (unless it is obviously not good for me or kid, like alcohol or smoked food of any kind). I do what I want, unless it hurts, even if things might take longer since I have less energy. But yeah. I live life as normally as I can and follow my gut-feeling, you know?
Anyway, we had a really good time during this visit! :-D They were both really happy for us, that it FINALLY worked with the IVF and the pregnancy and all... Got a lot of praise for all the redecorating of the apartment and the renovating we've done for kid... Had crazy conversations, drank tons of coffee/tea and finished off half a cake the four of us, plus a lot of muffins! X-D *lol* *is slightly sugar-high at the moment*
Right!

The Scrapbook thing...
I wished to get my Scrapbook moved over to the new version in advance as well, and even though it did take a while... I got it fixed now. :-) (You can do so HERE by commenting with a + on this post.) But then again... I have over 4000 images in my Scrapbook... ( o.O ) So I am not surprised if it took a lil while...
This is how my Scrapbook looks like now! All images are open for anyone to look at:
KSena's Scrapbook
I have gone through and checked, and no images seems to be missing. The order in which the images have been uploaded have been scrambled around, which makes things a bit lol-worthy and slightly annoying in my Blinkies Mixed album, but hey... :-) That is just a minor thing, I feel. Any new images I upload ends up last in the album on the last page. I have tried to upload, and it is crazy easy to do now. Much, MUCH easier and sleeker then earlier. To keep track of your albums and organize them is quite easy as well. :-)
Basically, it is now much easier to do the things you used to do before. :-) Same things, just... easier.
And now to the big question... Did I lose anything over 2GB like everyone and their mother claimed when the rumours about the New Scrapbook started to run around?
No. I didn't. I have a permanent account here on LJ, and so I can upload up to 15GB of images. A paid account can upload 10GB. I didn't lose a single thing. No space at all. Also, it is now MUCH easier to keep track of how much space you've used. Apparently I've used 1.03GB of space. Clearly I have plenty left. ;-)
So that was that. Questions about the New Scrapbook? I'll try and answer. Just by trying it out, and then tell anyone who asks how I did it. :-)
Anyway,

I think listening to your body is the smartest thing you can do, and the most refreshing thing I've heard in awhile. My mom was a resident when she was pregnant and was running around like crazy, not sleeping, and working her butt off and I turned out mostly okay. :P Not that I'd recommend that, but personally I think insane levels of stress and worry to maintain some sort of imaginary pristine environment for the baby are likely to do your body (and subsequently the baby) worse in the end. One thing I'd like to do well in my pregnancy is read to the baby, but other than that (and like you, abstain from alcohol etc) all bets are off!! I'm doing what my body tells me I want to do.
How long do I have to wait before I can get away with saying 'and that's my professional medical opinion?' :P :P :P jUST KIDDINGGGGG

Had to go look up what a resident was, but OK. Now I get it. Must have been tough on her to! :-P I agree with you though. Stressing to much and worrying to much... I don't think that is very good when you are pregnant. I am just staying away from alcohol and meat that are just partly cooked (I do like a raw steak at times, and do miss it a lil... :-P). Not that that will be a problem for you. ;-) I haven't had to do many adjustments at all. But then again, the little one is hiding her/himself quite well inside me, so even though I am at week 27 by now, it doesn't quite look like that. :-) I am just now starting to show properly! *lol* So little one is apparently a sneaky ninja! X-D
