So, you can't read the sign? Or see the obvious? Insanity in the library...

My boss/collegue was off work today, so I work alone at the school-library I work at. It was strangely calm. I don't know why, but there were nearly no kids there. Uhu... Anyway, I was minding my business doing other behind-the-desk-things that needed to get done, plus cleaned out the shelf's somewhat since hey... that was needed to.

When a man comes in, a bit of the older sort. The library is open for the public as well, so this is not that strange.

A note before I continue. This is a school library, as I have pointed out several times. The building is at a school. The entrance to the library is facing the playground just like all the other buildings do aka kids are playing outside while teachers walk around on the playground. There is a sign standing outside the door showing what times we are open. AND it says *city area*'s School & Children's Library. There is a sign on the door that says *city area*'s School & Children's Library. We got that? Right? Right.

Anyway, so this man walks in and asks me if I have the newspaper of today. Usually we do, but lately something has been up with delivery, so today we didn't have the latest news paper, and I apologized and told him as much. He asked after a few other magazines, that I knew the other two closest public library had. Again, I apologized and declined pointing out that it was a School & Children's Library and that we only have literature for kids and young adults.

And the man promptly starts to rip me a new one telling me I am shit librarian ('Aren't you supposed to work with information???') and asked my why the hell there is no library in this particular area of the city. I? Well, I was so stunned I at first didn't know what to say, but I did tell him that what he was locking for he could find in the two closet public libraries. At which point he pointed out that he didn't want to go there, and that this city area was shit! Then he stormed out. I was glad no kids was in the library right then, because even though I don't mind it much, his language was not for the ears of kids.... :-P

Well, EXCUSE ME! I suppose he didn't see ALL the signs outside.... OR the fact that he had to cross oh.... A FUCKING SCHOOL YARD to get to the library!?!?!?!?!

Geez, what an ass....

At least this site put me in a better mood when I came home...

What a vampire-baby? NO PROBLEM! X-D Get a Vamplet! Oh, I so want one of these... Aren't they cute? :-D

Not really hard, actually since I was so surprised by how he acted, I was a bit stunned at first. *laugh* But I proclaimed aloud once he was gone: WTF? And then broke down in a fit of giggles... I am a pretty patient person, so as long as I can went afterwards, I can be deadly polite to even the worst asshole. ;-)
