A day... and gay awesomeness....

Been off looking for work today to. Didn't go... quite as well as it has done these other days, I am afraid. But I think that has to do with the guy being the boss of the library I was at the today... wasn't a librarian himself... o.O Hmm... Anyway, he was nice and all and put all my contact information down, that I know the computer-system they use (I do, very well) and have a masters in library and information science. So all well so far. But I didn't get the same good feeling as I have gotten at the other three libraries where I am currently trying to worm myself in, you know? And I don't think he meant anything by it, really. When I was hospitalized they had apparently needed me and called, but hey... I was kinda sick then, so couldn't work. :-P Anyway. We'll see if anything comes off it. :-) I am staying positive.

I also called the hospital and got a new appointment with the gynecologist. Apparently not all people who miss there appointment call back. Stupid, I say. So the nurse I talked to wasn't the least bit upset, but was quite nice to talk to actually. :-)

And now for something complitly different. ;-) [livejournal.com profile] croaky shared this on her Twitter some time ago, and I just thought it was awesome. James Marsters and Nicholas Brendon just rocks! They must really love there fans! X-D I would be thrilled to have a photo like this with any of them! So much made of win! Check it out!
Once again, 'Buffy' does it better... - Cast of 'Buffy' gets into the spirit of Dragon Con...

Also, the It Gets Better project is still going strong. Now the elderly LGBT people wants a word to. :-) And do they ever! Such awesome, awesome voices! I can't help but smile when I hear them.

But then I found this. And I actually agree with this guy. There is one big problem with the It Gets Better Project... All the vids posted more or less say, just live through the bullies since you can't do anything about them, it will get better when you get away from them. They do not tell the teens to stand up and speak up for themselves. I don't know... I was bullied like hell in school, not physical, but mentally. You know what it did to me, not standing up to myself? Because I didn't. And I lost all my self confidence. It took my YEARS to get it back, and I still lose it now and then (like yesterday...). So yeah. Even though it is an awesome thing to encourage all them gay teens, please tell them it is OK to stand up for themselves to. They need to too keep there self confidence.

Right on that sober note, I'll end it for today. :-) Take care all, and encourage someone to stand up for themselves!

I hope something will come for you from one of these libraries. You've worked your socks off to get work.

I hope so to. :-) And hey, I don't run around like this every week. :-) I just do it with some form of regularity, without it turning into nagging, you know? ;-) I get no economic support anymore, so it is even more important that I get as many hours as possible at the libraries then it was before.
