OK. First off, I have alot of online friends that are from the US. And I love you all.

But...

With that said, americans are fucking insane! As a people. How the hell could you let Bush sit on his throne??? Now how wants to build military bases in EUROPE! And let me tell you, he is not popular here.

misswitch pointed me the way to some really interesting articles on the matter in her post right here. Seriously... In her post there, I found a link to a very interesting blogg post on another bloggsite with some very interesting insights on the subject. You can read it here. And the article she is discussing you can see here.

Read it. And then put Bush where he belongs. In a mental institution.

I can't imagine Bush has the political clout to push that through at this point. The amount of political and popular support he has right now is minimal. Primary season for the next election begins in a few months and when you look at who the Republican front-runner is, it's clear that even the Republican base is in no mood for a repeat of Bush.

Yeah, one can only hope. I know there are a few US military bases in Europe, Germany for example. But this? This is just silly. I really really hope that all the politicians look at Bush and see how NOT to act... ;-) Or at least to support a politician that has some brains, and is not only a front-figure with a pretty name. :-P
