This is KSena

Usually a friendly sort. Be nice to me, and I am nice to you. Here I ramble on about me, life, work and fandoms. I am a fan of Robin of Sherwood, Xena: Warrior Princess, Buffy: the Vampire Slayer, Pirates of the Caribbean, Tokio Hotel and Sons of Anarchy. I don't apologize for anything I write here. This is my mind. And you entered it. Welcome.

Well... That was a lukewarm episode...

Before going in to that though, I should really sit down and answer comments and such. I have just found a new addiction. And it's a YouTube channel. I fell so hard for this channel, I ended up being a Patreon for it. I couldn't help myself. I LOVE documentaries about interesting people. And this is a YouTube channel doing just that. Anyone should check this channel out! NO SMALL PARTS!

Anyway. Back to Game of Thrones...

As I said, this seemed to be an interact. It was, as I said, a very lukewarm episode. Might add I haven't read the books and won't either. :-P

Jon still annoys the hell out of me. I don't know what it is with that character, but I grit my teeth every time I see him. Couldn't he have stayed dead? At least he left the Nightswatch at the end there. Good riddance. :-P To bad Sansa is on her way Castle Black and the Nightswatch to reunite with her halfbrother, if my memory don't fail. :-P

Talking of Sansa, we got nothing from her this week. :-/ Nor Theon. Got a bit from Bran and The Three-eyed Raven though. (Max von Sydow, FUCK YEAH!) Although it is interesting with all these flashbacks to the past, I wonder what purpose they have?

Things are not going well for Cersai and Jamie when it comes taking over the council... I can't help but say it: Sucks to be on the other end, doesn't it? X-D Also, new little birds? Interesting. And when do we get to see the monster-face of Frankensteins monster Gregor Clegane? :-)

Talking about Varys, man that is an interesting character. So is Tyrion even when he tries to be funny with the people that don't know what funny is. That was hilarious to the point of painful to watch. X-D

And then there's Arya. Now there's some character-development! Or should I say A Girl With No Name... ;-) Man. She'll be dangerous!

Oh, and Daenerys of course. She's really gotten herself in a fix. Or, well... Her dragon has. Bad dragon, Drogon! *lol* I wonder what his siblings are up to...? Gonna be interesting to see how Daenerys is getting out of this.

Not an hugely exciting episode, but it'll be interesting to see what happens next. :-)

So true. I don't mind the Token Hero and some tragedy, BUT! I do get annoyed when they they are SO NOBLE!!! I mean, there's nothing wrong with him, he is good at everything... *SIGH*

To draw a parallel to one of my first fandoms (points to Xena-icon), Xena was the Token Hero, she was ridiculously good at anything she decided to do. BUT! She was flawed. She struggled with keeping her bloodthirsty warlord down. And she attoned for the wrongs she'd done. It was a campy cheesy series, but the bottom-line of the overall story was just that.

I've never watched Zene, but I agree. Flawed heroes makes for a much more interesting narrative. :)
