WTF, Game of Thrones? Seriously? UGH.
First though, health. I'm getting a cold. Again. And it has made it's home in my throat. Again. *grump* I did stupid this weekend digging around among my medieval clothing and stuff, and to say my asthma went high wire then would be an understatements. Stupid. So to say my breathing has been fucked up these last couple of days would be an understatement. :-(
Visited my brother Sunday which is always awesome. :-)
And today I had Dogge Doggelito coming to the school to have lectures for the 15 and 16 year old kids. Man, he was AWESOME! And such a nice guy all around. :-D Worked ten hours though and with the above mentioned health issue, I am now EXHAUSTED!
But I did have energy for Game of Thrones. And I liked most of it. I did. I especially liked Theon and Sansa, although seeing Theon leaving was... sad. :-/ I liked him with Sansa, but I guess the guilt was to much for him poor guy. I don't think his sister will be happy to see him back though...
And Ramsey Bolton, wtf with that character!?!?! Anyone with even the littlest bit triggers need to just change the channel as soon as he shows up. For serious. And now he'll be even more dangerous. Especially since he disposed of his newborn brother and his father. Dude. Cold.
No sign of Daenerys yet, but on the other hand we got some sign of life from Bran Stark, which was nice. And we got a flash back from Eddards childhood. Really sweet! (Oh, Hodor is apparently a mystery to! Interesting!) And hey, Max von Sydow played the three eyed raven! MAX FUCKING VON SYDOW! I love that old man! He is SUCH a great actor and has SUCH a presence even at the age of 87 years old. Dude. He'll probably die in front of the camera. He is AMAZING! I love him.
Sorry about the fangirling there...
Then there's Thyrion who probably have the biggest freaking balls of them all. He's a dwarf and he goes to release two dragons that probably just sees him as food... Only they don't, and man, that scene was AMAZING!
But what really bugged the hell out of me was... Jon Snow. I never really liked Jon. He was to good. To noble. To nice. Only time's I could stand him was with his friend Sam. So I was thinking good riddance with him when he was stabbed.
And now the big shocker in the end is that the red woman brought him back (despite having lost her self-confidence and is doubting in her faith).
So now Jon fucking Snow is back.
I'm not happy about that. At all. :-/

Date: 2016-05-02 09:21 pm (UTC)I couldn't see having Jon die - there's no one else who really knows what's going on. Though I have to admit, I suspect the walkers will take over the world at this stage of the game!

Date: 2016-05-02 09:53 pm (UTC)I love that Tyrion let the dragons go, and especially that the second one (no idea which was which, it was too dark to tell colours for me) was all 'sup dude, my turn' after he uncollared the first. Dragon baaaaaaaabies. <3 Let those giant lizard kitties run free!
I 150,000% knew that they weren't going to kill Jon. In the books, after he gets all stabbed up he 'saw no more'. This is a book series that unapologetically sends people's heads spiraling through the air and slices beloved mother's throats 'on camera'. They aren't going to flower up a death with something as wishy washy as 'and then he saw no more' and have people not assume that person is going to end up alive as fuck. If he'd beed straight dead, they'd have had a loving description of his bladder and bowels spilling across the snow and freezing him to the ground in their stanky embrace.
I'm pleased he's back, though. They spent too much time on the Wall with Jon for him not to be important. If they didn't care about him and still wanted the Wall (because it is important to the story), they could have just kept Benjen around. They HAD someone at the Wall, so what makes Jon s important? (other than THEORIES)
I think one of my fave bits of the episode was when Davos went to talk to the Red Woman and she's sitting there in front of the fire all wrapped in furs because she's COLD. She's had the Light of R'hllor in her, keeping her warm for so long, and now she's doubting her faith and she's COLD for the first time in YEARS. That was a great touch.

Date: 2016-05-03 02:53 pm (UTC)Loved Tyrion with the Dragons. I could do with less Bolton. (The Theon torture porn of several seasons ago almost turned me off the series all together.)
I hope that Bran proves to be more useful to the story than just being the framing device for getting in flashbacks that will explain things.
The big question for me now are, will we get Lady Stoneheart? Will we ever see adult Benjen again?

Date: 2016-05-04 11:57 pm (UTC)And poor Theon. I really wanted him to stay just so Brienne could protect the two of them for awhile after so many seasons of abuse.
I'm done with Ramsey. His character could not be bumped off any sooner. And how could his Dad have been SO STUPID? Like, how did he not see that coming??
Honestly, NOT killing people is now more shocking on this show LOL.
I'm just excited for the moment that Varys punches Tyrion in the face because he suggests they do something ridiculous LOL. YOU KNOW IT WILL HAPPEN!
I'm worried about Jorah. :(((((((
