This is KSena

Usually a friendly sort. Be nice to me, and I am nice to you. Here I ramble on about me, life, work and fandoms. I am a fan of Robin of Sherwood, Xena: Warrior Princess, Buffy: the Vampire Slayer, Pirates of the Caribbean, Tokio Hotel and Sons of Anarchy. I don't apologize for anything I write here. This is my mind. And you entered it. Welcome.

Oh hum... Where to start today? Well, we can start with resolving my last post, right? I did meet up with my LARP-mates and the OOC-drama was resolved. To my shock! Despite the flail and drama T had done during the last LARP, that Thursday he was cool as a cucumber. Even if, during the talked out scene, his character was still in very VERY mortal danger. Unfortunately his character did survive in the end and gladly my character did to. So the plot continues...

I think maybe the fact he has gotten a girlfriend lately has helped. She's really young, a vampire-LARPer as well. But I do like her. She's just 17 (or is it 18?), but she shows GREAT potential, so yeah... She's a great girl, and it seems as if they fit together. Never know if things will last when you're that young, but... It looks good for them. :-) And she's really good for him and his temper tantrums. ;-)

Anyway, so that was all kinds of good. And a lot of fun.

And then, this Saturday... Alexandra had her second birthday. :-)

It's insane how quickly these two years have FLOWN by! She's born, and suddenly life moves in superspeed.

I'd made farmers cookies ([livejournal.com profile] peting73's favorites), an cardamom spiced apple spongecake, a swiss roll spiced with saffron and filled with lingonberry jam and sweet buttercream. And, of course, a classic swedish birthday cake. Baked these things late LATE at night after work each day during that entire week. Motherhood = late night work.

It was worth it though, since everyone enjoyed all them baked goods. :-) But we stared with a picnic at the little yard here that belongs to the apartment building. It has a playground and some nice benches and a wooden table. So we loaded up with a BIG bowl of chicken salad for everyone and my own homemade dressing. :-) Was a great success. Alexandra and her cousins played in the playground and had a lot of fun! It was very obvious after a bit that her biggest cousin, Tilda who is starting secnod year of school, is going to be Alexandra's idol since she tried to copy everything Tilda did. *lol* It was SOOO cute! :-D

Alexandra got a ton of gifts to. :-) Really fine stuff. Doll's pram, dolls, doll clothing, toy tractor's (two!), some really nice clothes, pretend cleaning equipment (she loves "helping" me to clean...). And just really nice stuff for her to play with! I bought her two books and a child's stool that she can stand on to reach things. She's such a spoiled kid... I suspect a repeat from friends and family this Christmas... ;-)

It's good others spoil her though, since that means I don't have to. I just hope she won't get to spoiled. :-P Time will tell!

Yeah, I know. :-D We only asked one thing of those buying her gifts: NO SOFT TOYS! Because she got a TON of stuffed animals and teddybears and I don't even know what. *lol* But other than that, it was a free for all. :-)

happy birthday to your daughter! and YES i am still alive (which you should be able to gather from my instagram) :). i am about to make a post in a little bit but i know it's been months! anyhow, all that food sounds delicious, you should consider posting some recipes for those of us who suck at cooking (i am REALLY terrible). no clue when you updated your layout last but i'm digging it! obviously it's been a while since i've been on, haha. i'm planning to use this more frequently now that i'm no longer on an (unintended) LJ hiatus.

Well, I did figure you to be alive, gladly. *grin* Should I say welcome back then?

It's crazy how quick my daughter is growing, but if you follow me on Instagram, you've seen that, haven't you? :-)

Your idea about posting recipes is not a bad one... Since we mostly cook very swedish food here (obviously), maybe people would find that interesting? :-)

I know, it's INSANE! She's grown so fast I can't keep up!

I've been told many times I'm a good baker. :-) [livejournal.com profile] roseraves thought I should post recepies so others can bake my stuff, and I might just do that. :-)

Nope. :-) I might be good at english, and thank you for the compliment really! But swedish it is for her. Some words that I do use (like 'Crap!') she has caught, but no more than that. :-) I'm sure she will learn english quickly though when she gets older, since you get it from TV and movies and the internet and all that. And I will help her with it, of course. But in everyday situations, just swedish. :-)
