What the?!?!?!? What a day!!!!

Now this has been a GREAT day! :-D Not only did it start off awesomely with the epically porny dream I had... Oh no... Didn't end there.

The library where I used to work, called me around 10am and asked if I could come in and work some extra hours. No problem! 11am to 3pm. Yep, yep... So off I went and got ready to do that. While doing that, peting73 said that they would probably ask me to stay on a few extra hours more then that... We both know how they work over there, but I didn't think they would ask me to today... Well, I was wrong since around 2pm... they asked if I had any plans today (I didn't) and if I could stay until 4pm. One more hour of work! No problem! So peting73 was right. Which will amuse him, I am sure. ;-)

When I got home though, the real surprise started....

Opening the mail box, it was stuffed... With two envelopes. From the USA. Cue me go: WHAT? o.O

Taking them up to the apartment I put them on the table:

A big one, and a small one.... I did recognize the names when looking closely and thinking a bit, but the big one I had NO clue why I got and what on EARTH it could be in it?!?!

Figuring I should save the surprise for last, I started on the smaller one that I figured had to be from omgwtfskittles and the phone-cases she made for us. :-) And indeed it was! And they are fucking EPIC! :-D So awesome! And so us!

Pretty aren't they? :-D I promised peting73 he could pick first. :-) So I don't know which one is going to be mine yet. But it's cool. I think they are both pretty awesome. ;-)

Digging through the pile I found a letter from ruchirahni one of my oldest friends here on LJ. And Ruchi? You nearly managed to do what not many has.... You nearly had me in tears, woman... What the hell? WHAT A GIFT!!!! Your letter... the things... the THOUGHT you put into every little thing in there... My gawd.... There are no words... A literal treasure chest. I love you. You are such a beautiful gorgeous and caring woman... Zach should be so bloody happy to have you in his life... As should your... interesting... mother be. This was such a thoughtful thing to do. Hell, I had forgotten I gave you my address! X-D So this was a real surprise!

From top left: A bookmark filled with various cocks in classical art! (That is so me, Ruchi, I KNOW! X-D) A funny postcard from Pompei. A postcard from the Hitchcock museum (Yep, I do like him very much...). A postcard of Leonardo Da Vincis helicopter. A postcard from Riomaggiore. Ruchis letter (I was sniffling reading it, I swear to anything holy...).
A miniature-sign from Brooklyn (so awesome! I can still sleep on your couch, right?). Some jewelry from India, earings and two bracelets (that you can't really see here, dammit! But it is very pretty, I must say... and will be used! When I do dress up, I dress up to the nines! Will look great with my suit. ;-) )
Center piece: A classic I <3 NY t-shirt! (Man, that is so cool! X-D) Next to it: A wall-calender with cats from Rom... (I adore cats... I really do. And these feral cats were so so gorgeous... Gorgeous photos in that calender.)
Bottom left: A kitchen magnet with New York City and the Statue of Liberty. A little notebook with my name on it, Emma, and a view of the Vatican (I might be an athiest, but I want to go there one day...) And lastly, a postcard from Sydney cut in two (now this one puzzles me... but I do remember your journey there, and me eagerly awaiting news...)

And the t-shirt? It fitted perfectly...

Ha ha ha! Cool! They were aaaaaaalmost to short, but that might be because we have an extra protection on the phone. :-) But it is cool. They work nicely. I'll take a photo of them with the phones in them one of these days, and from the snaps to. :-) No problems at all. *grin*

YAAYYYYY!!! i'm so glad you like it!! and i'm glad i made you cry!! mwahahahhahaha. i figured you had forgotten that you gave me your address :P that made it better because i knew you weren't expecting anything. fyi sara and i had a GREAT time pronouncing the words in your address. when we make it to sweden, probably everyone will hate us for butchering the language, but the effort will be there!!
I'm really glad the shirt fits!! I knew you'd like everything! Also in that package, included but not pictured but ever pervasive, is ALL MY LOVE, which i send you until the day when one of us sleeps on the other one's couch!

Oh and I wanted to send you SOMEthing from Australia since I know how much you want to go, but it's been so long since I went. So for that one I scoured the house and I found that one hanging up. So I tried to carefully take it down but of course I ripped it in half (you know me, klutzy as ever) so I trimmed it. At least I didn't rip the opera house :P

And what did you do to DESERVE it?? Gee, I don't know, maybe be one of the most supportive friends I have through all these years? I don't know if you notice this- you're probably too modest to realize- that there hasn't been a hard time I've had in the past SIX YEARS that you haven't been there for. You're always considerate and caring and giving and unselfish and supportive. Six years of friendship is worth a lot to me!! Why shouldn't I think of you the same as I think of my friends here? Hell, some of them get sick of me- YOU never have!

And for the record I ADORE it when americans or brits try to speak swedish... It sounds so fucking CUTE! X-D And swedes might be a considered a bit cold and reserved but we are pretty friendly really. :-) Nearly everyone in this country speaks great english so you wouldn't have any problems getting around. Trust me. Might be good to know... you know... for the day you'll end up on my couch. *grin*

And the Sidney Operahouse is now on my fridge... held up by the Statue of Liberty. X-D

Now I am almost sniffling again... DAMMIT!!!

Well, I do care about my friends, you know... It is a blessing and a curse. I have a huge heart and am a great listener. This is both good and bad. ;-) But you... You just wriggled yourself in there, and got stuck. :-) So yeah. Won't get rid off me now.

You really are an awesome friend to, Ruchi. And a wonderful woman. So don't sell yourself short. You'll do great things one day. I know you will. And me? I can say I knew her way back when. ;-)

You do know the Nobelprize comes from here, right? ;-)
