Memes, memes... and parties.

skarvsladdens birthday bash. :-) It was a 1 hour 40 mins drive, one way. With a printed map from the internet. On snow and ice. It was... interesting. :-P At first I wasn't so sure I wanted to go, but once I was there, I had a really good time. :-) astroflammante was there, as was tekiila and chigrima and plenty more of my old friends from my years at the university here. Was brilliant to talk to them again, catching up and generally having an awesome time. (Note though: Chi? You ARE so cute! X-D Just saying...) skarvsladden is very much a scout. To the core. So she had some competitions on her birthday party where you had to these scout thingies on time and everything. I failed. Mayorly. But fun was had by all. And she liked my gift to, so yay!
Working so far this week has been brilliant. It is a bit staggering to be partly responsible for a school library yourself... For sure, mayor responsibility is my colleagues / boss, but I run it on a daily basis with all what that entails. Tough stuff. I had my first group of kids on my own today. It went.. surprisingly well, and the kids had a good time while learning how to find books in the library, following the cataloguing system we have. So yeah. :-) It was very good, all of it, I'd say.
Now for them mentioned memes... I was supposed to post another voice-meme, but I couldn't get the mic to work... Weird. I'll have to askpeting73 about that. :-P
And I do have that 30 days about me meme, and I missed a day here and there, so have three days of it today. :-)

Very much a couch potato. I really don't like exercising. :-P I do have my Zumba DVDs that I do now and then. And running around the library after kids that can't behave... Does that count?

I have two black cats, Skuld and Verdandi. They are six or seven years old by now. We got them after we have lived together for a year me andpeting73. At first we thought that we were going to get to black boys and we had decided to name them Castor and Pollux... but no, they were two gorgeous black girls... :-) So we had to think of some other names. And we wanted to use mythology names. So instead, we picked our favourites names from the Norns from old Norse Myth. :-) Our cats are sisters, and a bit nuts, but we love them to bits and pieces. :-) I have grown up with cats my entire life, and I can't see a live without at least two cats in it.

How did you come to start your LJ?
I blame this fully onchigrima and silvestris. chigrima befriended silvestris on the net, and we both squeed with delight at her artwork, we chatted with the lady in question and such. silvestris had an LJ, and we read it muchly to. Unfortunately most of it was friends locked, and from what I can remember chigrima got an LJ first to be able to read it. Then I got one to. Remember, this was way back when you needed an invite. chigrima got hers through an invite from silvestris. I got mine as soon as I could without invites. That was 2003. Still here kicking butt on this here site. :-)
How did you find your first friends?
See above question.chigrima and silvestris were obviously my first friends. I do remember friending moonjaguar, marycrawford and ruchirahni very early on as well. :-)
Are those first friends still on your FL?
Why yes, they most certainly are.
How long have you been on LJ?
Since 2003. That makes it 8 years this year... Good grief...
Do you have more friends or communities on your FL?
More communities. But that might be because I am following so many graphics and blinkie communities. And then a lot of the makers have there galleries in special communities and... Well, it adds up... I am far from active in all of those communities though, I might add.
Do you do a lot of friends cuts?
Very seldom, but it happens sometimes.
What do you like in an LJ friend?
A bit of activity, that is all I ask. And interesting posts. Although it is very, very random what I find interesting with different people. So yeah... It varies.
What do you dislike?
Dishonesty, and martyrdom. Yes, it is your LJ and you can write whatever you want, but if I get the feeling you are begging for attention and for people to feel sorry for you? I am so gone. I really dislike that, just as much as dishonesty.
What would make you un-friend someone immediately?
See above. If you go martyr on me, I'll defriend you REALLY quick. Or if you are obviously dishonest. It shows.
Have you been caught up in a lot of LJ drama?
Nope, I wouldn't say I have.
Do RL friends and family members know you have a journal on LJ?
They most certainly do. :-) My LARP-friends are horrified off how much slash there is in existence on the internet. I make sure to tell them, just for the hell of it. ;-)
Do you also have Facebook and if so, what do you prefer – LJ or FB?
FAILBOOK! ARGH! *goes into a rage* Ehm... No. I don't have a Failbook. I have a HUGE dislike and distrust for Failbook.

Nope.

Every single day. Yes, I am addicted!

Ehm... Politics.... My sexlife... Yeah. That would be things I rarely or ever post about.

I am not that into politics, so... And I think I have mentioned my sex life, but why should I post about it? Everyone has sex, right? :-P Nothing THAT exciting about it.
Have you ever thought about deleting your journal?
Nope.

Was supposed to be ksena, but that username was already taken so I misspelled it to kseenaa instead. :-P

I usually find them in different communities, chat with them through comments a bit, discover they are great people then I go and friend them.
Are you taking new people on to your Friends List just now?
Nothing is locked down or closed here so people can friend me whenever. :-) And I friend people if I find them interesting. So I'd say I am open to taking new people on my friends list. If I find them interesting enough. :-)
Finally, tell us the reasons why you keep an online journal.
It is fun. And to see your thoughts in print kinda helps at times. Strangely. ;-)
