This is my
adayinmylife-post for Friday the 5th of March. :-) Yep, thats the day I had a date with
kaijn and got to see Tokio Hotel live at the Scandiavium in Gothenburg. :-D It was one awesome day, let tell you! With silliness, lots of hugs and GREAT music! :-D
This is the biggest photo-post I have done, so BEWARE is all I say. There are 84 photos under the cut... with comments to each and every photo. Not only from the concert, but from my whole day. :-)

Second order of day, taking a shower. First order was to go to the bathroom and also getting the battery for the camera, since it had been loading all night. ;-)

Fixed the bed and got my outfit out for the day. My Tokio Hotel top, favorite pants and the tunic that I got from Flutterings! And socks with skulls on them. Of course. ;-)

Time for breakfast! Figured I needed a big one, so I made an omelett on three eggs, and added some cream to, just to make it sturdy. ;-)

My omelett cooking in the pan. :-)

Breakfast done! Omelett, a mug of water and also some vitamins. :-)

Checking Twitter....

..... and Plurk. :-)

Also checking in on my horses on Howrse.

Fixing the dishes.

Brushing my teeth and cleaning up my face.

I usually don't go all out serious with my makeup, only on special occasions. And... first concert in 20 years? Special occasion to me. :-P

Me no makeup.

Me with makeup.

Packing the bag. Wallet, mobil, Kleenexes, camera-case, my Filofax (always with me), a book for the bus and most importanly... TICKETS!!!

Checking the busses to Gothenburg. Both there and home, so I won't get stuck there in the middle of the night. Bad thing. :-P

Having tinnitus, I don't wanna make it worse, no matter how much I love the music. So I dug out the good earplugs we have in a box and cleaned them up.

Soon time to go. Last check in the mirror! That tunic is awesome, Flutterings!

A bus downtown...

To the big bus-station. Waiting for the bus to Gothenburg....

... on the bus to Gothenburg.

One hour later I am in Gothenburg. On my way to Nordstan on the other side of the street.

Nordstan is HUGE mall with a shitload of stores and always a lot of people.

Also visited my absolute favorite store, Shock. Punk-rock clothes to your hearts content!

I want these Doc's so, so bad. The day in the far, far away future when me and Peting73 might get married, I'll be wearing a pair of Doc's like these, I swear...

Walking around in Gothenburg just because it is nice. :-)

Another favorite store of mine. They design there own jewelry and it looks awesome to. :-)

Another stop I always do when in Gothenburg. The Sci-Fi Bookstore. :-) They have a lot of sci-fi books, fantasy-books, RPG-games and a lot of nerdy stuff all together. I love that place. :-D

Taking a break to wait for Kaijn and eating a muffin with some hot coco. Not lowcarb at all, but damn nice. :-)

This is the coffee shop I was at. I do very much recommend it.

Time to meet up with Kaijn! Wohoo!

What do you know? I found myself a Kaijn..

Haven't meet Kaijn in so many years, it is amazing. He has changed a lot and in the same time, not at all. :-)

We went to the Dubliners and had dinner and beer/cider. This is the carnage that was left. :-) We were hungry!

I caught Kaijn! *grin*

Time to get going to the Scandinavium. The line's were already long. Looking ahead...

... and looking back... Lots of people!

We chatted with two lovely young girls that stood behind us. They asked us when we were last at a concert. I was honest, and said it was 20 years ago... They just stared at me and said... "Well, we weren't even born then!" Damn, I felt old then... o.O

We found our seats, though, no problems at all. Kaijn stole my camera!

But I stole it back! HA!

Rumours had it that the concert was sold out. I know the photo is crappy, but... no. It was so not sold out. :-/ Apparently there were 3700 people there. The Scandinavium can hold around 14000 people. :-/

Half-full perhaps? I felt a bit bad for them goth-boys, actually...

They were supposed to come on stage at 19:30. They didn't. So to stop us from being bored we fooled around with my camera.

Rock'n'Roll!

But! So the spectacle began! Welcome to HUMANOID CITY!

They don't do anything half-assed, do they... Some stage...

And to our joy, our suspicous were true.. We were on the bass player, Georg Listing's side of the stage... YAY!

Not that we have anything against the guitarr player, Tom Kaultiz... Although when he walked over the stage towards Listing the first time me and Kaijn broke down in a fit of giggles... He walked like a penguin! X-D There you go for having over-sized clothes!

Bill Kaultiz, the singer, is also one interesting character to watch on stage...

For all his bad ass and odd leather clothes, he's dancing on stage is very much... long arms and legs, flailing around. :-D I blame the fact he is young. X-D

Why yes, we like Georg Listing quite a bit, why do you ask?

Don't think they only played one instrument each, do you? Nope. :-) Georg had a double-keyboard that he played on to.

And, it might not be visable, but the drummer, Gustav Schäfer, had both regular drums and electric drums that he banged away on.

Woo... All red! Dramatic...

More dramatic! Lots of fire during the show, but I only caught it once. :-D We were far from the stage, but I could still feel the heat-wave hit me.

Lots of different costumes, yeah... But what a voice! Damn!

Calming down the pace a bit with regular gutiarrs.

But not for long! Phantom rider indeed... more like bike-rider! Very futuristic that bike. Looked cool!

Guh... Yeah... Do not hide under that hair all the time, Georg. Just saying.

Checking over to Tom...

... and they change sides for a bit. Nice seeing Tom peek over on our side to!

But not for long. Another costume, another song. Bill sure ran around a lot!

In a bodysuite that looked like it was made of leather... Yeah, I don't even wanna know... X-D But it looked good on him!

The slow song Zoom into me, with Tom on the piano. Yes, he to played more then one instrument during the evening.

Good thing they had TV-monitors to.

Fire being the theme here, I believe. They turned the piano on fire to!

Band-setup! Tom, Bill, Georg and Gustav in the back!

Guh, again...

Take a bow! Gustav walking around on stage while the crowd is cheering for him! He deserves it. Gawd damn he banged away on them drums! He must have a shitload of muscles to be able to do that....

And another song, just because. Again me and Kaijn almost broke down in a fit of giggles, because it looks like Bill is dressed in a teddy-bear... X-D

As you can see, it was no wonder I felt slightly out of place. ;-) Our young friends from the line had made a sign that they held up during the entire concert!

The end of the concert, and the alien ship closes! Thank you boys! You did a great job!

And as soon as the boys were of stage, there crew started to tear the stage down. They were going to Helsinki next.

Of course I had do bring something home with me after this event. So I bought myself a concert t-shirt with all the dates on it, and small pack of pins for my backpack. :-)

Taking a walk home. It was damn cold, but Kaijn gave me the mental image of Georg Listing in a kilt and a leather vest and all of a sudden I was to distracted to feel the cold... o.O Damn you, Kaijn!

We finally found a pub were they had some really nice beer for Kaijn and delicious britsh cider for me.

We discussed them goth boys, there show and there fandom quite lively for a few hours... and some more cider and beer... This is the carnage that was left. :-D

The interiour of the pub was quite nice!

If you ever get to Gothenburg I do recommend The Bishop Arms!

*shiver*... Now it was REALLY cold and not even leather vest and kilts could distract me... It was time to go to the bus-station and get home...

It did take us a while to find the hours for our buses and we had to wait for a bit, so we had a bit of a snack at the bus-station while waiting.. Nachos. Yum.

On the bus on my way home.

Back in Borås. Still DAMN cold! Around -15 degrees Celsius (around 5 degrees Fahrenhait)... Yeah. It was cold. :-P

Finally home! Cleaning of my face and brushing my teeth!

Tired but happy. What a day! But damn, I was tired when I got in bed and turned of the lights...
My post at
adayinmylife hasn't been approved yet, but I hope it will be soon. :-)

Date: 2010-03-07 09:06 pm (UTC)And yeah. If you do go to Sweden one day, I do recommend Gothenburg as well as Stockholm. Our biggest cities, but very very different from each other. :-) Me, I prefer Gothenburg. It is.. calmer there, for some reason. More of a stressful feeling in Stockholm. :-)
(no subject)
Date: 2010-03-07 09:11 pm (UTC)Calmer is definitely better. And I loved the older, more rustic feeling to some of those shops. We don't really have anything like that here!

Date: 2010-03-07 09:23 pm (UTC)Oh, there is an area in Stockholm to where there is some really, really old areas. It is called "Gamla Stan" and parts of it is from 1500's - 1700's... Really, really old. :-) And there is the Royal Castle to, that is really old as well. (Where the royal family still lives, I might add...) But yeah. I still prefer Gothenburg. :-) It has its old areas as well, even though they might not be quite as old as "Gamla Stan" in Stockholm. ;-)

X-D Good thing Georg and Gustav are at least a little bit more normal. *laugh* I'd say the true star of the show was Gustav. What STAMINA that man has! There is a lot of power behind that quite man, I think. :-)
