This is KSena

Usually a friendly sort. Be nice to me, and I am nice to you. Here I ramble on about me, life, work and fandoms. I am a fan of Robin of Sherwood, Xena: Warrior Princess, Buffy: the Vampire Slayer, Pirates of the Caribbean, Tokio Hotel and Sons of Anarchy. I don't apologize for anything I write here. This is my mind. And you entered it. Welcome.

I encourge any and all that have Facebook to read this article:
Facebook is turning evil for profit... Facebook no longer as safe as before.

After reading that, I am so, so happy I don't have a Facebook. And I won't be getting one, despite all the invites and questions from friends and family. It just won't happen girls and boys. Just saying. I am feeling much more at home here, thank you. Here I decide how much I want to share, and what I want to share. :-P

[livejournal.com profile] spicehobbit posted one off those awesome links that show just how insane Twilight fans are.... They don't even get it when they are being played at... X-D Check this out:
Twilight vampire intervention

Anyway, today has been all kinds off awesome. I was invited along to a Planning-day and Christmas-celebration thing at my bosses boss's home. Quite awesome, I must say. :-) Lots off boring planning was done, and after that there was a ton off awesome Christmas-food. And after that we played a Christmas-gift-game... Yeah. You read that right. It involved dices and gifts. And it was really, really fun. Again it is proved that the librarians I work with are awesome slightly crazy people. Oh, I'll miss them dreadfully when I won't work with them anymore. I also got almost two weeks off during Christmas and New Years! o.O And they gave me so much praise today for my work, that I blushed and didn't know what to say. I do have trouble taking compliments, so... I love working as a librarian, I really and honestly do. Especially with people like this. To bad it is just as a trainee. :-/

After that I went and shopped the last off the Christmas-gifts. ALL DONE NOW! Fuck yeah! And thank gawd for second hand stores. Seriously. Not only are they cheap, but they have so much odd stuff you can find gifts to anyone. Just what I needed because I had the most troublesome people on my list left. There, all solved. YAY! :-D

Oh well. Almost caught up with my flist. :-) Tomorrow we'll clean out the apartment (it is very needed) and then we'll go to the vampire-LARP in the evening! :-D Woot! Will be a great weekend this, I just know it!

Facebook creeped me right out. I didn't have it very long because it was suggesting damn near every person I ever e-mailed or ever posted a comment in their blog as a friend. As well as people I didn't know from Adam friending me, some were friends of friends or friends of relatives but most were just out of nowhere. I'd already faked my name but after I read a Slashdot article on how stuff that was "friends only" was public, I used a fake name generator and became a 56-year-old Japanese-American woman from Missouri and changed my schools to Hogwarts. Gads, I was creeped out enough but when I was able to read about parties and stuff posted by people I didn't know, with street addresses and everything, I thought, ugh ugh ugh.

Myspace is whacked enough, though it's less creepy. I think a lot of Myspacers bailed to Facebook because Myspace takes forever to load/too teenie-bopperish. I can see where Failbook would be useful like for class reunions but I don't understand people using it for their jobs.

Yeah... I did have MySpace for a while, but I never felt at home there. To many teen's or people acting as teens. :-/ In a not good way. But yeah. Facebook = very creepy. I couldn't agree more with you.
